Tax Issue with NY resident works in CT

Hi All,
One employee u2013 lives in NY, works in CT, system is calculating both state taxes, which is in error, should be work state of CT only. The employee lives in NY, but works in CT, but as there is no reciprocal agreement between NY and CT, the withholding tax rule of u201CThe state in which the services are performed will almost always require withholding from non-residents who come into the state to worku201D applies. In this case the services are being performed in CT by the employee. CT state withholding taxes are being calculated, but so are NY state withholding taxes. Unemployment is set up in SAP as CT and is correct.
Question if system should only tax in CT as expected?

Issue with Reminders not working when setting it to arrive or leave a location in iOS7.

Hi all,
Tried everything: Called support and reset All setting. Made sure all "location settings" are set. Restored via iTunes as a new phone, checked all setting again, set a reminder to remind me to get gas when I leave my home, and it never reminded me. Also, doesn't remind when I arrive at a location. I have tried this with my wifes phone (iPhone 5) and my daughters (iPhone 4) all running iOS7 and it doesn't work. I never had this issue with iOS6. All other locations services like GPS, maps, & weather working fine. I strongly believe it's a iOS7 bug. Has anyone else experianced this issue?

Jump to page 5. There is a solution by ben812 that initially worked for me, but after restarting my phone I was back to square one.
I visited the local Genius Bar, and they claim they have not heard of this problem. Whether that is true or not, they know now. One of the employees confirmed that WiFi would need to be on, as the location service checks it first (before using GPS). Seems like a bug, but for now having WiFi on and leaving Reminders running in the background seems to solve the issue.
I hope Cupertino addresses this in an upcoming iOS release.

Issue with album art work....

.....hey everyone. I have a issue with my itunes art work. Well it's on my gif's computer. She made the mistake of lending it to her little niece, which has a zone. There was a update prompted to update itunes and zone software. She updated both at the same time. Now her music is missing it's album art and now the zone software shows it has it(Music she imported from cd into itunes). Now my thought is that she made the zone software convert it to WMA format. But I check to see in my itunes folder in my music and it's still there. I try to access the album info in itunes, and even though the information is correct to the T, itunes say's it's not there. Can anyone help me with this issue. Thank you very much.

I think I know this problem. It doesn't have to do with Zone, it has to do with the latest iTunes.
If you select a song and it says "Album artwork not modifiable", then the likely problem is that iTunes9 added another ID3 V2 tag to the song, and now can't read the file. I had to manually go through 5000 songs and remove the duplicate tags using a tagging software. (I used tagscanner)

Tax issue with Direct Input mode of RFBIBL00

Hi, I have a problem using RFBIBL00 (direct input mode) to create A/R invoices. There is no tax associated with the invoice, however, when I use direct input mode, instead of posting immediately, a batch input session is created. In the log, an information message: 'Specify a tax jurisdiction key'. The BDC session is processed with no error.
When using Call transaction mode for RFBIBL00, the document is posted immediately but the requirement is to use Direct input mode.
There is no converted data in the BBTAX structure since the doc. does not need to post to tax account. Do I need to populate the Tax amount, Tax code and jurisdiction code in this structure and BBSEG in order to by pass the information message?
Any advice is appreciated.

Problem solved. Just need to untie the relationship between the ITEM import structure and the BBTAX so the Direct Input program will not require a tax jurisdiction code.

IP - Issues with Input Query: Works on Bex analyzer but not on Web

I am doing the following:
Created a Aggregation level for a multi provider which has only real time infoproviders associated with it
Created the query using Bex Query Designer availing all the options for planning
When I execute this query it executes using a web template and does not open up the Key Figure cells for input, I had tried using the Web Application designer with Save button but still the same issue
I tried the same on Bex analyzer and it works fine
Please help to resolve the above issue.

Hi Ram,
Cells should be input enabled on the web just running the query. No need to create a Webtemplate, altough you need to have the webtemplate to be able to use the "save data" function.
Maybe your query is not input ready at all, and you're misinterpreting analyzer layout.
To test this, please enter some plan data in analyzer, right click and choose "save".
Please check if data is written to the real time infoprovider.

Issues with exchange not working correctly

When I try to setup exchange on my phone it gives a error cannot find server

Nothing wrong with the account. It works fine for a solid week then just craps out, i.e., contacts and calendar freeze up, and the email wont show up. I've tried deleting and seeing if the freeze/no email issues persists and so far, the phone works fine. That leads me to believe it's the exchange that is the problem.

HR Securtity Issue with CATS_APPR_LITE - Approve Working Times and query

hi Gurus
here is the our issue :
1. User need access to do timekeep as well as query . In order to process the time keep task one of the transaction used in the process is CATS_APPR_LITE which requires P_ABAP in the role or by transaction ( Se93 added P_abap object) .
From the query side role this should not have P_ABAP since giving access to this will have access to sensitive data even though the roles are restricted by Personal area or structural authorisation.
If both roles are assigned to users then P_ABAP from the timekeep role will overwrite the query roles and users get access to data for which they should not see .
We have created dual sign on to avoid this task but is there a better way that users can do this task by just single id.

CATS_DA is meant for Display Working Times.

Acrobat 7 Standard-- Issues with Making it Work

As other people already mentioned, I am getting the "Error: Activation Server Unavailable" message. I went to the Adobe help pages, and I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the version I have (Acrobat 7 Standard) from the download link provided on adobe.com. When I open the file and try to install it, it asks me for my serial number. When I put in my serial number, it says it is NOT VALID and will not let me go any further. What the heck?! I am putting in EXACTLY what it says on the CD case I bought many years ago, and it worked fine for years. Now it simply refuses to work with the serial number I have, and it is VERY FRUSTRATING. I have the Microsoft Vista OS. HELP!

Having issues with iMac not working after sleep mode

When waking up from sleep mode or turning machine on in the mornig computer will not recognize the mouse or track pad. I have a 3.06 GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo.

sudo nvram boot-args=”-p -r” should get the computer to reset the nvram. After words its a good idea, to go back into Apple Menu, System Preferneces, Startup Disk, and make sure your Hard Drive is selected.
Is the OS up to date? if not, why not try running software update?
have you tried repalcing the batteries?
Have you tested with a wired keyboard or mouse? (dose it have the same issue)
Have you tried a safeboot?

Php issue with IE, but works with Chrome & Safari

In Dreamweaver CS6 I created a html & a php file for an online employment application to be sent via email. The html file views fine in Internet Explorer but when you select the button that runs the php it thinks for a minute then brings back application screen with nothing filled in. Both Chrome & Safari completes the action (submitting the application via email then displays the "successful" message). I have tried using the Adobe BrowserLab on both the HTML & PHP files. No messages popped up that something is wrong. Any suggestions?

Since php is a server side scripting language, the problem must be with the client side code. Your form page has many validation errors:

Most of this is probably due to your doctype not matching your markup. You should fix that.
But I think the problem is that you are using the formaction attribute in the submit button which is only supported in HTML5. Rather than using two buttons, put the action in the form tag and give the visitor a radio button to choose location. Then have your script take appropriate action based on the radio button selected.

Issue with new laptop-worked for first time

I just bought a new ASUS laptop and followed the instructions from online about transferring my itunes library to the new laptop. I have 10.1.6 version on both computers. When I went to authorize this computer on my new laptop and signed in, I did see my library name under "shared" and all the songs were there. I then went on the old computer under File/Library/Export Library (so I could add my playlists to the laptop) and on the laptop did File/Library/Import Playlists. When I did that, most of my songs disappeared under my libary (shared). Initially before I exported/imported the libary, I had all 2395 songs on both computers. After exporting the playlists, I only have 59 songs on my new laptop. I completely unistalled itunes on the laptop and rebooted. Then I downloaded itunes on the laptop again and did the home sharing and authorize this computer but now I do not see a shared library at all on my laptop. I do not know what to do. Can someone please help me? Thank you very much.

Multitrack issues with sync- it works on 2/3 tracks but exiles at least one. how do I sync all

Every time I try to synchronize 2 tacks and a wave file one of the two tracks gets pushed down the way. how can i sync them all without manually doing it.

are you selecting all three files in the project panel
right clicking and selecting Create Multi-Camera Source Sequence
then choosing your synchronize point as audio?

Compatibility issues with mac OS - Lightroom 4 works where CS5 won't

Hope someone can shed some light on this issue...
I tried installing Lightroom 4 on Mac OS 10.6.1 (which is currently running CS5 without issues) but the specs call for OS 10.6.8 or later (10.7). When I updated my OS to 10.6.8, none of my CS5 apps work! They encounter launch errors - InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver... only Photoshop seems to work. So, I reverted back to OS 10.6.1 and all the programs function. Is Adobe working on a solution to fix this issue? I see with the forums that several other users have noted the same issue with CS5 not working in the OS 10.6.8 environment. I don't want to upgrade my OS just to have Lightroom function, but none the CS apps. I was thinking of partitioning my HD to load both OS, but that shouldn't be the workaround. I am very disappointed that I've purchased Lightroom 4 and now am unable to use it due to compatibility issues with the OS with the rest of CS5.0.

Pixelzboy are you receiving any specific errors when launching your applications under 10.6.8? CS5 should work just fine with 10.6.8 as well as 10.7.3. You may also want to post to the product specific forums with your launch errors as the users in those forums will be more familiar with troubleshooting steps specific to those products.

BC Major Tax Issue - Retail, Wholesale, Manual orders

I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on a tax issue with BC as I'm really loosing faith with Business Catalyst over this issue!!!
We sell retail, wholesale and do manual orders.
We sell retail where the price needs to be including tax.
We sell Wholesale where the price needs to be excluding tax.
As there is no tag that will show retail price including tax and wholesale price excluding tax we were told to use {tag_totalprice} on the products page to show pricing.
To get our website to work we were told to install {tag_shippingoptions,true,,} on the shopping cart.
We were told to have tax on retail products as GST
We were then told to make tax Not applicable on wholesale products so that the tax wouldn't be included in the price but assigned with the {tag_shippingoptions,true,,} on the shopping cart.
This was all working fine until a wholesale customer rang to change their order and do another order.
if you change a manual wholesale order then it REMOVES the tax!
if a wholesale customer rings up to do an order and we can't see their password - we need to do it as a manual order as we can't login as them. Hence again no tax.
Really dissapointed in BC over this - does anyone have any solutions?

Performance Issues with Debugging even in Display Mode

Hi not certain if this would sit in Security, ABAP or Basis, but lets start here as it is security related.
S_DEVELOP with any activity on DEBUG on a production system is a concern, but what are the performance related issues when a super user has to go into debug in display only on a production system because of a really complex issue?
I've heard in the past of a scenario where system performance was impacted, and we have notes around the allocation of S_DEVELOP display DEBUG access to this point. (I've summarised these below)
The risk with debug is associated with the length of time that the actual debugging process is being performed.
u2022 Work processes are dedicated solely to the users for the duration of the debug. If these are being performed for a long time, these can cause issues with not enough work processes being available.
u2022 It can cause DB2 locks. If the debug session last awhile, DB2 locks are not released. This impacts the availability of tablespaces, thus, affecting various transactions running across the system.
Even with these concerns, security will often get asked for debug display access.
As security is about risk identification, assessment and then controlled access what do other organisations do?
Options (not exhaustive) are "No Debug ever" or "Debug display only via a fire fight or super user on a time limited basis".
We are currently in the "debug display only via fire fight" camp, but would like to canvas opinion on this.
As one of the concepts of security is Availability of data (and to an extent ensuring the systems are up and running) do the performance risks push the security function to the "No Debug Ever" stance.

If you need to debug in production, then 9 times out of 10 you need to do root-cause analysis: The developer is the problem.
Writing sloppy code and not testing properly should not be an excuse for debugging in production.
But of course, there are exceptions even when you do try to keep them to a minimum.
To add to Jurjen's comments, also note that the debugger only has a limited capability of doing a rollback. So you can quite easily and unintentionally create inconsistencies in the system - also in display mode - which is an integrity problem, and typically more critical than availability problems or even potential confidentiality concerns.
