TAXINN AND TAXINJ difference ? AND Which is better ?

HI,
Could u please explain  difference between TAXINN AND TAXINJ  ? AND Which is better ? And in which scenario they are used ?
Regrds,
Binayak

TAXINJ & TAXINN are Tax Procedures in India. TAXINJ is old version & TAX INN is new version. Both has its own advantage & disadvantage.
Upto 4.6C & partially 4.7 version of SAP, TAXINJ was used. TAXINJ is formula based calculation, in which we maintain the tax rate in Tax Code itself. The implication is that if say we are having product range such that say Excise rate differes for separate chapter ID, VAT, CST & permutation & combination of these, we require that many Tax Codes. For example:
Tax Code: A1
Taxes: 16% Excise Duty + 2% Education Cess + 12% VAT
Tax Code: A2
Taxes: 16% Excise Duty + 2% Education Cess + 8% VAT
Tax Code: A3
Taxes: 12% Excise Duty + 2% Education Cess + 12% VAT
Tax Code: A3
Taxes: 12% Excise Duty + 2% Education Cess + 8% VAT
From 4.7 version onwards of SAP, TAXINN is being recommended & used. TAXINN is more user friendly & condition record based. In TAXINN, Tax Codes are statistical & of not much relevance, but are required to be maintained in condition record for taxes condition type. This makes Tax Codes simpler. The implication is that if say we are having product range such that say Excise rate differes for separate chapter ID, VAT, CST, we need not have the tax codes to that combination. For example:
Tax Code: A1
Can be used for any rate of excise duty, as tax code is only required to be maintained statistically in condition record.
Tax Code: A2
Can be used for any rate of VAT, as tax code is only required to be maintained statistically in condition record

    hi
in session and call tansaction methods, which is better . why?

    see the link:
    <a href="http://www.itcserver.com/blog/2006/06/30/batch-input-vs-call-transaction/">batch inpunt VS call transaction</a>
"The most important aspects of the session interface are:
    <b>Asynchronous processing</b>
    Transfer data for multiple transactions
Synchronous database update. During processing, no transaction is started until the previous transaction has been written to the database.
A batch input processing log is generated for each session
Sessions cannot be generated in parallel. The batch input program must not open a session until it has closed the preceding session.
The most important features of CALL TRANSACTION USING are:
    <b>Synchronous processing</b>
Transfer of data from an individual transaction each time the statement CALL TRANSACTION USING is called
You can update the database both synchronously and asynchronously. The program specifies the update type.
Separate LUW (Logical Units of Work) for the transaction. The system executes a database commit immediately before and after the CALL TRANSACTION USING statement.
    No batch input processing log"
I hope I have been able to help you.

  • In and EXISTS??which is better and why

    hi...

In theory it depends on circumstances.
Correlated EXISTS subqueries tend to be efficient if the lookup is properly indexed. If the list of values is very small (especially if you only get one value) an IN subquery might be more efficient.

  • TAXINN and TAXINJ -difference

    Dear all ,
would you please tell me whether TAXINN can be applied to SAP release 4.6C.As I understand that the TAXINJ is formula based taxprocedure and was most commonly used till version 4.7 what was the reason not to use TAXINN before that ?
Would you please explain is detail .
    Thanks in advance.
    Sunil

TaxINJ was the procedure which was used earlier to 4.7. This was based on the formula based approach even though the condition technique was introduced in the 4.6C version I think.
The condition based approach until ecc 5.0 did not work perfectly. Thats the reason why it was not popular. Also there was some inconsistency in the way the system determined the tax vaues. In the TAXINJ based on the formula based approach the records for excise and tax was maintianed though tax codes in finance transaction FTXP. This had little flexibility in that the number of combinations for excise and ST/CST was very large and a large number of tax codes need to be maintianed which was cumbersome. It was also very complex and should you wish to change the basis for the values it was difficult. It was totally a tax code based approach.
But it worked O.K though on the export side there are still a lot of things not yet ironed out by SAP even now.
When it came to condition technique it was a refreshing change. It was simple bold and flexible in that you could maintain your your condition using a variety of criteria i.e sales org, country, plant, chapter id , material .....
This offered the company a great flexibility. But the condition value still references to the tax code here which is a dummy tax condition which is required for maintian condition values. each of this condition values is unique unlike the previous where all the taxes are maintained in a single code.
If you want to change the tax rate basis its pretty simple. Just use a different access.
Thats the basic difference. There are other differences too but this is the essential.

  • Join and Multiple where clauses: which is better??

There was an argument between a colleague and I. He prefers building his views joining many tables with many where clause while I am cute with my join which is simpler and more understandable for me. So, it started an argument on which is a superior way of joining tables.
I will actually like to know we is faster and better: using JOINs or using multiple where clauses to retrieve values from multiple tables.?

    Dave:
"Are we talking about the difference between Oracle Joins and ANSI Joins?
    e.g.
    Select d.dept_name, e.emp_name
    from dept d, emp e
    where d.dept_id = e.dept_id"
That is not really an "Oracle Join". That syntax works on just about every SQL database I have ever worked with. The (+) syntax for an outer join is Oracle specific, but some other databases use a similar style for outer joins (something like a.c += b.c or a.c *= b.c).
    OP:
There are things you can do with the ANSI style syntax that either cannot be done, or cannot be done as easily, with Oracle's syntax. Most notably, outer joining one table to more than one other tables, and FULL OUTER joins.
Having said that, in my experience, both are rather rare occurrences, so I tend to stick to doing the jopins in the WHERE clause because that is what I am used to.

  • Editing Red Dragon Raw 6k Footage with Premiere CC and/or CC 2014 - Which is better and what issues should I expect?

    Hi All
    As the title asks;
    1. Are there any known issues when Editing Red Dragon raw 6k footage in Premiere Pro CC/CC14 ?
    2. Which version of the software would be the best choice ? CC/CC 2014 (I have both)
This is my first Red Dragon 6k Project in premiere CC software and although I have used CC extensively since its release  I am working with a tight turnaround so making sure I have as much info as possible to troubleshoot. (if needed)
This question is directly related to the software and any known issues.  It is not hardware related as we are setup for that side of things with very fast SSD -> Thunderbolt storage and powerful machines.
Any info or experiences would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

  • Which is better for the keying (chroma key)..?

for using chroma key and blue/green screen, which is better, final cut pro or final cut express. Im new with this I dont have either or am familar with either...Also, is dvMatte Pro or whatever from http://www.padd.com/dvg/prod/prod.php?prod=dvmattefcp&view=dvg a plugin for final cut? Does Final cut not already have the keying feature? Why would I need that plugin (if it is a plugin)?

no matter what you're talking about (except price), FCP is better for everything. basically, FCE is a watered down version of FCP. the differences depend on what you want to do with it. but as far as keying, they are relatively the same. after looking at dvmattepro's site, I can't seem to figure out what it is, but the only conclusion I can come to is a plugin that saves you time keying. yes, keying will take a lot of time in FCE/FCP, and it is tricky to get right, but you don't need anything that final cut doesn't give you. check out apple's product descriptions (and numerous discussions on this forum) for details about FCE vs. FCP, or about keying.

  • Which Is Better Time Machine or Backup

So I just got a new iMac plus a 1T external drive. I have been using backup on my old mini-mac with an external drive plus I used the drive for iTunes and iPhoto. So which is better TM or the old backup (which I had no problems with). I really do not do a lot on the iMac, no work just iLife stuff.
If I use TM can I partition the 1T to use one 500 GB for TM and another 500 GB for any odds and ends I simply want to store there (I plan to convert old videos to digital)?
    Thanks

Hi! The drive for a bootable clone should be the same size as the internal main drive as should be the drive for TM. To create a bootable clone you can use the disk utility but I prefer SUPERDUPER and if you pay the 27.95 you get the ability to schedule auto backups! Tom
To use the disk utility: Kappy's method
How to Clone Using Restore Option of Disk Utility
    1. Open Disk Utility from the Utilities folder.
    2. Select the backup or destination volume from the left side list.
    3. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (journaled, if available) and click on the Erase button. This step can be skipped if the destination has already been freshly erased.
    4. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
    5. Select the backup or destination volume from the left side list and drag it to the Destination entry field.
    6. Select the startup or source volume from the left side list and drag it to the Source entry field.
    7. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
    8. Select the destination drive on the Desktop and press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. At the bottom in the Ownership and Permissions section be sure the box labeled "Ignore Permissions on this Volume" is unchecked. Verify the settings for Ownership and Permissions as follows: Owner=system with read/write; Group=admin with read/write; Other with read-only. If they are not correct then reset them.
For added precaution you can boot into safe mode before doing the clone.

I have some comments and a suggestion:
Have you tried your setup with a SD/CF combo card reader (like the Lexar or Kingston FCR-H63)? Does the card appear on the desktop when first plugged in?
Did you need to fool around with any kind of power issues in installing this card in the x4 PCIe slot of the MacPro?
Suggestion. Have you tried one of the fixed in this article to cure the BT issues in MacPro 3,1?

  • Difference between TAXINN and TAXINJ

    Dear Friend,
Any one tell me the what are the difference between TAXINN and TAXINJ.
    regards
    Joseph

    Hello,
The only difference between TAXINJ & TAXINN is that TAXINJ is formula based tax calculation procedure for India and TAXINN is that condition based tax calculation procedure. Now a dayu2019s most of the companies are using TAXINJ procedure.
In formula based we are using the formula like (excisecessvat/cst etc.,) but in condition based we just maintain the tax codes which are relevant to taxes and these tax codes has been assign to condition records which we are maintained in MM and SD configuration.
    Thanks

  • Difference between Temp table and Variable table and which one is better performance wise?

    Hello,
Anyone could you explain What is difference between Temp Table (#, ##) and Variable table (DECLARE @V TABLE (EMP_ID INT)) ?
Which one is recommended to use for better performance?
also Is it possible to create CLUSTER and NONCLUSTER Index on Variable table?
In my case: 1-2 days transactional data are more than 3-4 Millions. I tried using both # and table variable and found table variable is faster.
Is that Table variable using Memory or Disk space?
Thanks Shiven:) If Answer is Helpful, Please Vote

Check following link to see differences b/w TempTable & TableVariable: http://sqlwithmanoj.com/2010/05/15/temporary-tables-vs-table-variables/
TempTables & TableVariables both use memory & tempDB in similar manner, check this blog post: http://sqlwithmanoj.com/2010/07/20/table-variables-are-not-stored-in-memory-but-in-tempdb/
Performance wise if you are dealing with millions of records then TempTable is ideal, as you can create explicit indexes on top of them. But if there are less records then TableVariables are good suited.
On Tables Variable explicit index are not allowed, if you define a PK column, then a Clustered Index will be created automatically.
But it also depends upon specific scenarios you are dealing with , can you share it?
