TB1.5 gives invalid RSS feed for pkg updates

Because I couldn't get the feeds updated I had to remove them and add them again. AUR ( http://aur.archlinux.org/rss2.php ) works fine so far.
But the http://www.archlinux.org/rdf_feed.php feed is always rejected:
http://www.archlinux.org/rdf_feed.php is no valid RSS-Feed.
Just klicking the RDF symbol in Firefox brings:
XML-Verarbeitungsfehler: Präfix nicht an Namespace gebunden (=prefix not bind to name space)
Adresse: http://www.archlinux.org/rdf_feed.php
Zeile Nr. 24, Spalte 3:
<dc:date>2006-01-18T07:44:37</dc:date>
--^
Can you fix it?

I get a "There were errors while parsing this feed! " with liferea but it still displayed the feed. There's something wrong about the archlinux feed. I think it has been reported in the bug tracker or mentionned in the forum/ML. I would suggest submitting a bug report unless it's already been done.

  • [solved] RSS feed for AUR updates?

Is there an RSS feed for updates to AUR packages? All I've found in poking around is https://aur.archlinux.org/rss.php which seems to be just NEW additions to AUR, but I can't seem to find a feed that includes updates to existing packages...
    Have I just missed it?

@x33a: Thanks for the follow-up. I will look into yaourt... that sounds like it might help with at least the aspect of staying current. It does still feel to me that an RSS feed or something along those lines to publish updates to packages would be a good addition.

  • Keep getting pop-up message re updating RSS feed for twitter

Please advise why I get this pop-up message. After I get it and fill in the info, I get another pop-up message asking for the same info, which doesn't take. What's going on? My Safari version is 4.1 (4533.16)
Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed.
To update the RSS feed “Twitter / mimbrava with friends”, you need to log in to the area “Twitter API” on twitter.com. Your password will be sent in clear text.
    Name:
    Password:
_ Remember this password in my keychain
    Cancel Log In

    Ok...
From your Safari Menu Bar click Safari / Preferences then select your Security tab.
Click: Show Cookies. Delete all Twitter cookies.
And in the Preferences pane select the RSS tab. Click: Check for updates. Select: Never
    Restart your Mac.
See what happens when one is a senior citizen, Carolyn? You've got a great memory!
It rang a bell. I've never seen this behavior before with pop ups from Twitter. Interesting...

  • In support forum, signed in,where do I link to questions I've asked? Years back, could get RSS feed for question. Still available?

Where can I link to my questions from my account? Searching for username gives no results. Some years back, you could subscribe to an RSS feed for a question, yours or others. Is that gone, if so, why? How do you save the question, without saving the text of your question in a document, and copying and pasting it into search? FF version 19.0.2.
    Thanks.

The My Contributions link only appears if you are looking at a page of questions people have posted. It's a filter that doesn't apply to other pages, so I guess it's bit of a secret.

  • IWeb Blog RSS feed no longer updates

When I originally published my iWeb blog to .Mac, the RSS feed contained all 3 posts. Since then the RSS feed hasn't updated, although I've added several new entries to the blog. I've checked the source code of the RSS feed and it only contains the original 3 posts.
Any suggestions for getting the RSS feed to update?

Follow-up post. Strangely, when checking ths RSS feed from IE at work, I see the new posts in the source data of the feed. So this is not an iWeb problem, but probably related to the more general RSS update issues within Safari.

  • RSS Feeds have stopped updating

Recently my RSS feeds have stopped updating.
Maybe post 10.4.5 Combo update (have run twice)
Once feeds have been read they do not update. Tried deleting safari prefs, syndication folder.
This cures for the first initial update then all feed stop again.
    Anyone have any ideas ???
    Cheers

    Simon,
There is a lot of information on this problem in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1498326&#1498326
It has been around since 10.4.4. For many of us (me included) the problem seems to be having .Mac bookmark synching turned on. If you have bookmark synching turned on, try turning it off and seeing what happens. Also, some people are reporting that changing the sync frequency from "automatic" to "every hour" (or presumably the other settings would work, too) corrects the problem as of 10.4.5. It would be nice, of course, if Apple would just correct the problem altogether.

  • RSS feeds for Error Queues

We have a requirement to send RSS feeds when ever there is a error message placed in the error queeu. Any inputs on this will be very much useful.

    Hi Kenneth,
RSS feeds for home pages are on the unfortunately long list of improvements. It is high up there.
But if you don't want to miss any materials, then you should check out DevToday, which you find under Services.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/devnews.sdn?node=linkn2
It shows only the new stuff that came in within the last I think it is 30 days. You can tailor it to your information interests by rating these objects. You can even create a daily or weekly email from it.
Gone is the fear of missing good information, Mark.
P.S. If now only that DevToday page had an RSS feed
P.P.S. Of course it only works if you are logged in, which by the way everyone using SDN should be.

  • I'd like a search keyword-based RSS Feed for iOS apps. Possible?

It's great that Apple offers a variety of RSS feeds for the iTunes store. I'd like to be able to further hone the feed to particular search-based keywords. For example, limit the top paid apps to just those about dogs or some other long-tail (I did NOT mean that as a pun :-) ) keyword term. Is this possible?
Alternatively, if one could convert Apple JSON-based searches into an RSS feed, that would do the trick, too. An example JSON feed:
    http://itunes.apple.com/search?term=dog&entity=iPadSoftware&limit=200
