TC access to my data on the go using a web browser

Been trying to figure out how to access my TC on the go using a web browser. I've tried numerously time and get no luck.
Using a PC to access TC. It works fine via hardline nor wireless.
on any of my PC or laptops. that is setup for the same workgroup.

I believe that you may need a VPN tunnel to get inside a network the way that you want. Can you elaborate a bit more about your setup?

Error when trying to enter data in the textarea using settext in 9.3

not allowing to enter data in the textfield using settext and throwing below error
Cause: oracle.forms.handler.TextAreaItem cannot be cast to oracle.forms.handler.TextFieldItem

I had the same problem.I think this is a bug with 9.3.The workaround I used was to record: click the Text Area,go to Functions menu->edit->Edit,enter the text.Stop recording.Then you can playback.

Pictures previously included as part of an email are no longer there. If I forward the email to another web browser the picture is there. This just started happening after my last upade and I do not know why.

For some reason pictures that have been included in emails as part of the email are no longer there. This seems to have happened after my last update of firefox. If I forward the email to another web browser on my computer the picture is then visible as part of the email. The pictures I am talking about are not ones attached for me to open but ones that are included as part of the email.

Do I need to delete all the cookies in my web browser before installing?

No, there is absolutely no need to delete any cookies before installing Flash Player (or anything else, for the matter).
However, it is never a bad idea to clear your browser cache on a regular basis.

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

How to send really Chinese word, not the string "&# number " to web browser

Each Chinese word on page sending to web browser is translated to a string in form "&#<number>" by default, it's a problem when Chinese word is included in url. How to specify sending really Chinese word, not the string "&#<number>" to web browser?

Thanks that seems to make much more sense, still having some troubles though.
Ok so now the majority of it seems to be working and it seems to be sending the String just fine. And I'm having it send the String to the BufferedWriter "out" and then using the newLine() method to send a carriage return but the BufferedReader on "in" seems to not detect the carriage return.
I have it doing a readLine() so that (as I understand it) it should be blocking, waiting until an end of line character so I assume each call of newLine() should have it pick up something but a quick breakpoint shows that it never stops blocking on readLine().
I assume the connection is fine because the application running as server uses the socket object returned by the accept() method.
Is there something I've perhaps misunderstood about the BufferedReader's readLine() method?

Also on a different line of questioning, I'm just wondering about socket convention.
I was thinking it'd be useful in a game similar to what I'm attempting to make to not only send player position information but also client keypress information, I was just wondering, if you're doing something like that would it be frowned upon to use two separate ports? I think it would make the implementation far more legible and easy to structure but wasn't sure if applications usually try to stick to only one port or not.

How to write data in the Infocube using BI IP input ready functionality

Hi All,
Please help me in the following scenario...
Input given to me is-- ZCUBSDID cube with associated role ZSP_BW_SAI_BUDGETS-DID_ALL.
Query is ZR_V7_CO_PA_CH_PB_DID_BUDGET_2 based on agregation level ZALBSDID (& ZALBVDID) in infoarea ZDACOPA.
I have to write data in the cube by using Input-Ready functionality of BI IP. Can you please provide me step by step procedure for writing the data in the cube as i am very new in IP side.
Also if any further input required just let me know.
My Analysis-> I checked that cube is in Planning mode and in Query Designer>Property Pane-->Planning Pane, Query is in Change mode and also associated Keyfigures are in Input-Ready enabled.
Also i am able to access query in Analyzer.
This is very critical for me and need to provide solution asap. Please update asap. It really be great help.

To enter data in to planning cube through manual planning, you can do the following,
1. In a query that is used for manual planning, a cell is only input ready if each characteristic value of all the characteristics included in the aggregation level is unique. None of the aggregated values on the aggregation level are therefore input ready: Totals, subtotals and inner hierarchy nodes are not input ready.
2. To be able to change values for calculated key figures (like Average Price as a quotient of Amount and Quantity), these must be based on input-ready formulas, and at least one operand must be input ready. More information: Defining Inverse Formulas (Designtime) and Inverse Formulas (Runtime).
3. In order to change aggregated values (with respect to the aggregation level), these values must be disaggregated on all the data records that contribute to the aggregated value of the cell. More information: Disaggregation (Top-Down-Distribution).
4. If a query used for manual planning includes a navigation attribute that is restricted using a fixed or dynamic filter or a restricted key figure, the system treats the navigation attribute as a normal characteristic. The rule under point 1 applies here. The system only reacts as though the navigation attribute were not part of the query if the navigation attribute is not restricted.
5. In a query defined on a MultiProvider or a complex aggregation level that you want to use manual planning for, a cell is not input ready if the InfoProvider that is defined by this cell is:
a. Not a real-time InfoCube
b. A real-time InfoCube that has been switched to load mode
6. If an input-ready query is executed in change mode, but the requested data is locked by another user, the query starts in display mode.

Vaildating File name with the data in the file using sender file adapter

Below is the scenario
1)       Pick up files from a FTP server, the file name is dynamic, how do I put dynamic name in sender file adapter?
2)       Determine if the user correctly named the file based on data in the file.
a.       File naming structure that we will be concerned with is <company_code><accounting_time_period>.<extension>
b.      The company code and the time period in the file name have to match the data in the file.
i.      For example. If the file name is 1001_200712.csv and the data in the file is for company code 1005, time period 200712, the file is incorrectly named. Both values must be correct.
How do we do this?

                As Rightly said by Krishna, You can not put Dynamic name in sender File Adapter .You have to provide the name of the file like "*.txt" in Sender Adapter and at runtime you can access this file name by using following UDF:

As now you have picked up the file name at runtime.
Now concatenate source file fields Company_code and Accounting_timeperiod using "_" as delimiter in properties.Also concat the extension .Now you have required file name.
So using EQUALS standard function ,compare it with File Name fetched at runtime using above given UDF, and pass result as you desire to process further or not or to raise Alert to resend the file.

     I need to append data to the MSWord doc Using a java Program.The data contains both text and image.While appending data the size of the doc is increasing but the data is not Visible.
   I'm using Streams to read and write into the MSWord

   Can anyone solve this problem and also tell me is there any alternative ie any external jar files are required?

Possible to retrieve data from the backend using online interactive form ?

I am currently developing an online interactive form and in it, a textbox which allows user to search for employee data in the backend in the event that the default name is not correct. However, I noticed that in the proerty field of my interactiveform, there is only OnCheck and OnSubmit. Is it possible for me to make a search in the backend and have the results returned to my adobe form again ?

Hi Kwok Wei,
OnSubmit and OnCheck work in the same way. So if you need 2 buttons in your form then you can use both of these.
I have never tried passing parameters but you can define context attributes and assign values. Later these can be accessed from the onSubmit Method.

Failed to retrieve data from the database using Crystal Reports XI R2

I am using Crystal reports XI R2 and using the Universal Web Connector (connecting to Coghead). When I put some some of the fields from the database and run Preview I get "Failed to retrieve data from the database." . Where is this message coming from and how can I track down what the issue is?

When you are trying to Browse Data of a field it is not poping up any window menas, it is unable to interact with database and get the data from database.
Try to create a new report using ODBC with Xtreem Sample Database. If you get the data in your report without any error then your connector is not working / unable to pull the data into your report.

The nodelist is a 0 based array of information and you are only requesting to pull the node info in the first array position. So to get the info in the second array position, you need to use ", 1)". You can also use .getLength and a loop to parse through everything in the node list.

Accidentally deleted my Firefox data through the uninstallation of Firefox UX browser. Is it possible for me to recover the data?

I chose to delete the Firefox UX's data when I uninstalled it and forgot that it shares the same profile and data with the current Firefox.
How is it possible to recover my data, maybe with a files recovery software like Recuva or something?

It may be possible.
* Have you synced your profile data to any other machine using Firefox Sync? If so you may be able to sync it back by specifying 'replace this machine's data with the sync data' when you set up sync.
* You may still have automatic backups of your bookmarks which can be restored. See here: [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]]
* If none of this works then try Recuva. Point it at the folder where all the profile folders are stored. See here: [[Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data]]. If Recuva can recover the files in your old profile then you can use the Firefox profile manager to point Firefox at the recovered Profile. See here: [[Use the Profile Manager to create and remove Firefox profiles]]
