TC F110 - Protect the variant for the Print out/ data medium - RFFOIT_FOR

Hi Experts,
I have to protect the field "filename" in the program RFFOIT_FOR and I have to permit to user, when he runs the TC F110, to change only some field in the variant for the same program.
Can you help me?

I did a test and if I try to change the variant using anothe user, I will get:
No authorization to change variant MAO2
    Message no. DB278
Diagnosis
    You tried to change a protected variant. This can only be done by the
    variant's creator.
System Response
    A protected variant can only be changed by its creator.
Procedure
    Contact the creator of the variant or create a corresponding variant
    yourself (for example by copying the protected variant).
Therefore if You switch on the flag "protect variant" into the Variant attributes, You could reach Your goal.

Click Variant and Click Change Icon
and entry the new Variant and click Create icon and save with your own values
Ensure that System setting from the menu bar Settings - User Specific Settings PopUp Screen - Repository infosystem Tab - All Selection Criteria

While running the archival using object W_SOR , I am getting the error " Maintain the variants for the deletion program first"
I have checked Customizing -> Archiving Object-Specific Customizing: Technical Settings) , In that std variants already exist .
Please tell me what is the setting that could be missing .
I am not getting the same error in development client , but getting it in the production client .
Is there anything else to be done ?

click on display groups (F5) & select the check box wich includes WA (the Number Range Object Material document Grouping)
copy the entry for 2005, but do not assign any current number.

You get this message because there is a new program being used for this archive object. In addtion to adding a comment to the default variant, it would be wise to test the program in your QA system and review OSS for any updates.

I am trying to install a HP 6300 printer. I can see it when I look to install initially. Then click on installa nd the process starts and I get a message saying it is searching for the software. However after 20 seconds or so I get the message: Can't install the software for the HP Officejet 6300 series because it is not currently available from the Software Update server. This has happned over and over. I have updated the OSx and am 10.8.5. It works on my Mac Book Pro and did once work on the Mac Book Air but stopped so I unistalled and tried to reintsall but no joy. How can i gte the right drivers onto the laptop so that the seach finds them and connects the printer that it already sees?

Are you talking about the IP address or the Mac Address of the printer? If you go into the setup menu you can go to reports or the network for the wireless information depending on what code you are looking for......

Hi Mbutterfly, (The unit that you are using is part of the MX430 series of printers. Your specific model is either the PIXMA MX432 or PIXMA MX439. In my reply, I use the PIXMA MX432, but the steps are the same for the PIXMA MX439.) Uninstalling the network port and printer driver and reinstalling them will resolve this issue. To do this, please follow these steps:
1. Put the PIXMA MX432's CDROM in the CDROM drive. If the welcome screen appears, exit it.
2. On the Start Menu Screen, place the cursor in the upper right hand corner to expose the Charms Menu.
3. Click on Search.
4. Type RUN. Click on APPS and then click on RUN in the Search Results on the left hand side.
5. Click Browse. In the Browse window, click on "Computer".
6. Double click the CANON_IJ CDROM.
7. Double click the folder named WIN.
8. Double click the folder named Driver.
9. Double click the folder named DrvSetup.
10. Double click the file named DELDRV. If you are using the 64 bit version of Windows 8, please double click DELDRV64.
11. In the Run box click OK and then follow the on-screen prompts to remove the driver.
Once complete, please follow these steps:
1. On the Start Menu Screen again, place the cursor in the upper right hand corner to expose the Charms Menu.

7. A File Download box should appear at the bottom of your web browser. Click Save.
8. Once the download is complete, open the Downloads folder.
To install the unit for use over your network wirelessly, please follow these steps when the computer restarts:
1. Press the <Setup> button on your PIXMA MX432.
2. Use the left or right button to select Device Settings and press <OK>.
3. Use the left or right button to select LAN Settings and press <OK>.
4. Use the left or right button to select Wireless LAN Setup and press <OK>.
6. Enter your WEP key and press <OK>. Please verify the WEP, as it is case sensitive and if entered incorrectly, will cause the printer and router to not communicate. To switch between letters and numbers, press the * key.
7. Press <OK> on the confirmation screen. The PIXMA MX432 will search for the access point.
8. When found, press <OK> on the Connected to the access point screen.
9. Back on your computer, double click [mast-win-mx430-1_1-ucd.exe] to begin installation of the drivers.
Follow the prompts and installation will complete.

Can I have diff transacton Variant for the same tcode? If so i will i assign it to diffrent users.?
Requirement Details:
I have three diiffrent roles accessing XK02.
I need to provide diffrent transactions variants for these 3 roles, through Variant groups. How will i do this?
When i tried to do this, i found that, we need to activate a standard variant for the transaction, which inturn will be default for all these roles. S how will i specify different Transaction variant for diff roles...
Please help..

The way you explain is strange, I don't understand. You can't assign manually a variant group to a transaction variant, this is done automatically based on the names, maybe you make confusion with assignment between variant group and user?
A little example:
Say we have : ZG1 for group 1, and ZG2 for group 2. Transaction is ZT.
Say user is assigned to group ZG1 by default, and also ZG2 (he may switch to ZG2 using the transaction I mentioned above)
When user runs ZT transaction, SAP uses automatically ZG1ZT transaction variant (the standard variant is ignored when a transaction variant is found based on variant group). If the user switches to ZG2 variant group, SAP uses automatically ZG2ZT transaction variant.
If you activate a standard variant, this will taken into account for users which don't have a variant group assigned, or those which transaction variant doesn't exist for variant group + transaction code.
If it doesn't work as I said, maybe there is a bug, check SAP notes...

Error: Non Compatible Cartridges
i bought a printer all in one in mexico border, this had a 122 cartridges, but now i bought a new cartridges 61 in texas.
i install it but when i send to print appear a error that show "Non compatible cartridges", so i check them in HP site, the numbers are different like mexico and US, but the HP part number are the same for both, so i try to fix the problem i found a solution tha say that required change the region for the printer.
How can i do this?

You will have to contact HP to have the region for yourr printer changed. A representative will explain how to do it.

I am trying to install a printer Epson xp-605 but when i try to add it, Apple says it can't find the software. I have downloaded the software from Apple website and also from the Epson installation disc! The message is: "The software for this printer is currently unavailable. Try a reset of the printing system. This often resolves the symptom you are experiencing.
