TC not routes to WAN side the website 89.97.132.131
The IP address 89.97.132.131 (corresponding to URL "www.pubblica.istruzione.it") is not available from the LAN side of TC (10.0.0.0). Same things for the POP3 mail server "pop.istruzione.it".
This address is well achievable from the WAN side of the TC router or from LAN side of all other routers.
I can surely exclude any PC, Internet Provider, ADSL modem, Op.System, Firewall, etc. problems. TC is updated to the last firmware available (7.3.2).
Ping is answering only if you use the numeric IP Address, no answer using the mnemonic URL.
I think that the TC router routes the network class "89.97.132.0" erroneously to LAN side instead of to be routed to the WAN side.
If the TC router is working as bridge, it work fine and the URL is reachable.
I contacted APPLE support and I am still waiting for answer.
Someone get similar problems ?

WRT120N wireless nodes not routed to WAN, Multicast not working
Hi. Since a few weeks, I am experiencing strange and very annoying problems with my WRT120N. I have a DSL connection at home and the router connects to that via PPPoE. The LAN consists of one wired node and several wireless nodes. I have a G/N mixed setup because I also have G-only nodes (older laptop, mobile phone).
Every few minutes, my wireless nodes are not routed to the WAN anymore. Weird thing is: they can still connect to the wired node on the LAN so bridging seems to work fine. They can also connect to the router itself and the router says it is connected to the WAN. I can confirm this WAN connection because the wired node is being routed to the internet all the time. Restarting the router solves the problem. Actually, even if just disabling/enabling the wireless connection on my nodes solves it. However after a few minutes, sometimes seconds, routing stops working again (It happened twice during the writing of this email).
Another thing that is really bugging me is that multicast seems to get filtered. After a few minutes, no multicast message is being sent to the wireless nodes. Multicast packets sent by the wireless nodes do arrive at the wired node but any answer is being filtered on the router.
I have changed pretty much every possible setting that could be connected to the issue but no improvement (e.g. filtering multicast in the firewall). I used to be on 1.0.0.4 and hoped that upgrading to 1.0.0.5 would help but it didn't. I also checked this forum for solutions but found none that is working for me. This way, the router is pretty much useless for wireless clients as after an arbitrary but pretty short time interval they can only connect to the LAN and no Multicast service discovery/media streaming is possible. I really need help on these issues.Hi Brickmonkey,
thanks a lot for your answer. I did the changes you advised. In fact, here's in detail what I did:
Router reset as described.
Changed the following configuration options:
PPPoE + Credentials
Local IP
MAC-IP Bindings for DHCP
Time Zone
DynDNS
Wireless Mode -> Mixed
SSID
Channel Width -> Auto
Wireless Security -> Enabled
Encryption AES
Passphrase
Port Forwarding for SSH,HTTPS
Router Password
Changed the options beacon interval, RTS threshold, fragmentation threshold and MTU as advised.
Router power cycled.
Routing and multicast are running since 5 minutes. Let's see if it lasts.
Answering your question: I do have one wired machine directly connected to the internal switch at the WRT120N. That's the one the ports are forwarded to. It has a static IP outside the DHCP range and is actually my DHCP,DNS etc server - however DHCP is disabled at the moment. All my other machines are wireless clients with G or N connectivity.
Can you explain the reason behind your proposed configuration changes? -
Wifi is not routing to WAN, running Vista
Hello,
My WRT160NL is not routing to the WAN on Wifi with an Vista OS notebook. When I use a wired Ehternet it works fine. The wifi connection to the router works fine: I get an IP adres and can see the other LAN computers. With another notebook the Wifi,
running XP works fine.
The router is brand new and all settings are default.
My firmware is the latest version.
Many many thanks in advance.You can access the Internet when you connect the computer directly to the modem.
Connect the modem to the Internet port and computer to the Ethernet port on the router.
Press and hold the reset button on the router for 30 seconds. Release the reset button and wait for 30 seconds. Power cycle the router and reconfigure it.
Follow this link to configure your router with DSL Internet Service. -
Question
Went to Crossings Book Club website while there something popped up about the certificate for the website, i was going to copy it and send an email to the website to ask about the certificate. I got my cursor just inside the pop up and the whole computer shut down.If you think getting your web pages to appear OK in all the major browsers is tricky then dealing with email clients is way worse. There are so many of them.
If you want to bulk email yourself, there are apps for it and their templates will work in most cases...

This one will create the form, database and send out the emails...

The alternative is to use a marketing service if your business can justify the cost. Their templates are tested in all the common email clients...

How do I set up the port interface for the WAN side of my RVS4000 to 100T Full Duplex?
How do I set up the port interface for the WAN side of my RVS4000? The ISP says I need to set it to 100T Full Duplex, but where would I do that? In the Router's administration GUI I can't find any options to make such settings for the WAN side.
The setup of the folders in Finder is entirely up to you. Whatever suits your needs is what you should do. Lightroom will be fine no matter how you set it up.
So I'm not really sure what your question is. -

I'm using Contribute CS3 for the first time and going through
the connection wizard I'm not even able to find the website even
though I browse to it. It asks if I would like to try and connect
anyway. I select "yes" add all my ftp info which I know is correct
because I can connect with other ftp programs. I am able to connect
to the server, but then when I try and enter the remote path info
by browsing to the folder (permissions set to 775) and hitting
continue, it tells me "Contribute cannot verify your connection
information..." And that is as far as I can get.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.2 and using Contribute 4.1.0.
P.S. I have had success using previous versions of contribute
and the site is hosted with Network Solutions on a Unix server.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.Hi,
I'm also having a similar problem. We are running Macromedia
Contribute 3. It has worked fine for years but a few weeks ago
started playing up. I can access the website using my Contribute
connection but cannot set up new connections on different PCs or
for different users. I can ftp the site from all computers and
under all user logins but Contribute gets as far as accepting the
FTP details, but when I browse to where the site is located on the
server I get the message "Contribute cannot verify your connection
details".
Any ideas? I think it must be conflicting with security
settings somewhere,

Today some words on the website are highlighted in blue yellow and pink - awful
I am the administrator for a website and today it started highlighting certain words in pink, yellow and blue. I don't know why it is doing this. I did not change any setting on the website or Mozilla. How do I make the highlights go away?
I discovered it was coming from the words in my latest google search bar. When I deleted all google search words from the bar, the colors disappeared. Google has never done this to me before and I still don't know why it happened - but at least I can make it go away.

Websites are dislayed in the middle of the screen. Half the website is gone on the right side. on the left side it is white. Only when i startup in safetymode the websites are displayed in the center of the screen
When going to a website the picture was small - tried changing the Zoom size , tried Zoom Reset - the text did change size but the layout distorts - found under View - Zoom - Zoom Text Only was checked --- Removed this check mark and the website returned to normal size and Zoom worked normally again. I am 99.9999% sure I did NOT check this myself and there is no one else on the computer to cause it. Maybe this will help.

I updated recently to the latest IOS but now the websites screen of Safari would not go widescreen when I put it side way, why? Please fix bug.
During a normal install of iOS 7.0.6 this does not happen but something clearly went wrong in your installation.
To fix this, connect to iTunes and restore to Factory. Hopefully your iPad will be working again and you can restore your iCloud backup during Setup. -
CALL DOES NOT ROUTE OUT THE LOCAL GATEWAY
Local calls will not route out the local Gateway of branch1 to the PSTN or from the PSTN back to branch1, however they will route out either CorpHQ or branch2 backup gateways. When I go into the route group configuration for branch1, and remove the backup gateways, I get a fast busy tone when I dial the local number. I know the MGCP Gateway at branch1 is functioning because when I dial 911 and run debug ISDN Q931, the call routes properly through branch1, so I have a call routing problem. I ran DNA and it came back as ROUTE THIS PATTERN and all of the number translations looked accurate, so I didn't have to check for any block patterns. I'm not getting any errors on the calling party phone display. When I deleted the route pattern for the branch1 site and forced it to use the global route pattern, I received a debug output on branch1. I do not know a debug command (such as debug voip dial-peer or debug ccsip messages) to use for an MGCP Gateway to see if the call is actually reaching the Gateway.
I have checked the following:
the route pattern configuration
the translation pattern configuration
the called party transformation pattern configuration
the route list configuration to make sure the correct route group for branch1 was selected
the route group configuration to make sure that the branch1 Gateway was first in the order of selected devices
the route pattern configuration to make sure the correct route list for branch1 ist selected
the Gateway configuration to make sure it's using the device pool for branch1 and to make sure the called party transformation CSS for the branch1 Gateway is applied
the device pool configuration to make sure it's using the route group branch1
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
Regards,
RonHi Nishant:
Please see the attachments for the Gateway pages
The significant digits for inbound calls for all 3 gateways is '4'
Please see the running-configs of the 3 gateways and the PSTN
Please see the debugs for the INBOUND calls
Many Thanks,
Ron
The following INBOUND call from the PSTN to 2065011001 is now working, however it is supposed to be routing through CorpHQ and is instead routing through Branch1. Please see 'DEBUG VOIP CCAPI INOUT' & 'DEBUG ISDN Q931'

Is my ISP blocking ICMP on the WAN side? Linksys E1500 on Comcast Cable
Hi-
Device: Linksys E1500 - firmware: 1.0.01
I've got a static IP setup for a small remote office and want to keep tabs on their internet connection by pinging it via a monitoring program we use. However, the router seems to not responding to ICMP.
- Filter Anonymous Internet Requests is unchecked.
- I've verified that the Static IP is correct.
- I've tried pinging from several remote locations on different connections, with no avail.
I can't seem to figure out why i can't ping this device. I just want to make sure there isn't a setting in the wireless router that is preventing echo replies.
The only other thing i can assume is that Comcast is filtering ICMP on their side of the WAN connection.
EDIT: Here's a traceroute from my PC to the WAN side of the Linksys....

Is actually the networks there are not allowing the trace data to be returned
which is normal for a number of reasons -
Safari on Lion will not allow popup windows to return data to the website
I have a web-based application that uses pop-up windows to capture certain user changes. One example is the user changing the default number of hours to a new specific number. The problem is that with Safari on Lion, the data does not get returned to the website.
I have tested this function with Windows and IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari with no problem. I have tested it with my Macbook system running Snow Leopard and Safari, with no problem. I have tested it with my Macbook and Firefox with no problem. I've used the Firefox Firebug debugging tool with no errors found.
Debugging has proven that the data is being captured by the popup, and it is assigned to the returnValue. However, the website never receives that data - the object is empty. This error is happening with every popup I've tried in the system covering a wide range of uses.
The only thing I have found that fixes/masks the problem is turning on the Developer menu in Safari, and then starting Javascript debugging. In that mode the problem does not occur, but I can't find any errors to fix.
It seems as if there is some change in Lion that affects the security of popup windows and returned data, but an internet search turns up no similar complaints. I have been able to reproduce the error on 3 different Macs running Lion.
I have verified that pop-up windows are not blocked, and java and javascript are enabled. I've also compared the settings on my system with the failing systems and find no Safari settings that make any difference. I've tried all the simple things like system reboots, safari resets, and cookie cleaning.
I would appreciate any ideas or information that might help. I am an experienced developer but relatively new to Mac's.
Here is the code that calls the popup and waits for the returned data :
if (window.showModalDialog)
retVal = window.showModalDialog(templink, "name", "dialogWidth:275px;dialogHeight:350px");
else
retVal = window.open(templink, "name", "height=350, width=275,toolbar=no, directories=no, status=no, menubar=no, scrollbars=no,resizable=no, modal=yes");
if (retVal == 'cancel')
return;
else {
frmnewhrs.lid.value = tempid;
frmnewhrs.newhrs.value = retVal;
frmnewhrs.submit(); }
This is the code in the popup that captures and sends the new data :
function preSaveCheck() {
var tempstr = document.getElementById("newhrs").value;
if (tempstr.length > 0) {
window.returnValue = tempstr;
window.close();}
Thanks, DaveAnti virus software installed on the Macs?
Using a router with a Firewall? -
I recently transferred my internet service to another state.I have not yet moved my imac, just my pc laptop. I cannot get my airport extreme wireless router to work. The green light stays lit when everything is connected but I can't connect to the internet. Any suggestions?
I would recommend that you do the following as a minimum:
Power-down the modem, AirPort base station, and computer(s).
Power-up the modem; wait at least 10-15 minutes to allow it adequate time to initialize.
Power-up the AirPort base station; wait at least 5-10 minutes. Note: The AirPort's status light may continue to flash amber after it has intialized. That is because, there may be some additional configuration items necessary, like setting up wireless security, before the overall setup is completed to get a green status.
Power-up your computer(s).
If the above steps do not solve the problem, start over with step 1 above, but then perform the next steps between steps 1 & 2. above.
Disconnect the AirPort base station from the Internet broadband modem.
While all of the devices are powered-down, perform a "factory default" reset on the base station. This will get it back to its "out-of-the-box" configuration and make setting it up much easier, especially if you use the "Assist me" process within the AirPort Utility. (ref: Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule)
After the base station resets, go ahead and power it back down.
Reconnect the AirPort base station to the Internet broadband modem. For the Extreme and Time Capsule, be sure to connect the cable to the base station's WAN (circle-of-dots) port.
Continue with step 2 in the first set of steps.
In this basic configuration, the AirPort base station will broadcast an unsecured wireless network with a Network Name (SSID) of Apple Network NNNNNN. Network clients, connected to the base station either by wire or wireless, should now be able to access the Internet through the ISP's modem. Once Internet connectivity has been verified, you can use the AirPort Utility to configure the base station for wireless security and any other desired options. Please post back your results. -
In a adress board the website is not saving, when i clink on arrow in a panel board this is blank
The only difference I see between looking your site between Firefox and IE is that Firefox is slightly less tolerant of a narrower window than IE but I don't see parts
missing they may be covered up but that happens on both browsers where the picture overlays wording down left side.
I can't really tell whether you are saying Firefox or IE is missing parts, but they look the same to me. First time looked it like Firefox was missing portion but it was just dropped down for some distance text and pictures were not missing.
