Using VA02 tcode sales order deletion
Problem is: user getting error "you cannot select assembly order(production order number) for deletion" while trying to delete item from sales order using transaction code VA02.
other info: corresponding production order status is
"TECO PRT CNF DLV PRC BASC BCRQ GMPS"
could anybody can tell me what is the reason for this? and how one can delete the same.
Appreciate your quick resolution.
Thanks,
Aritra
Message was edited by: Aritra SamantaHi Suraj,
Thanks for your response!
But problem is that user is not going to delete sales order: he wants to delete one line item in "Change Make to Order" screen (Transaction code VA02).
He is not able to delete one line item in sales order.
Please tell me why he is not able to delete that item.
for your information:I found some operations are not yet confirmed/closed in that corresponding production order. And also he is not able to close that production order.
Is there any link between these to sales order changing?
waiting for your valuable comments.
Thanks,
Aritra -

I pass these invoices in VBRP table to get he individual line items and sum them up for the given period.
The report shows division wise, sales group wise, sales district wise etc. whick also i pick up from VBRP.
Is there any condition that i need to use?

Hello All,
I am trying to create a logical system for connection between R/3 to BW.
I use TCODE SALE for creation of logical system. But this takes me to a screen where there is a huge list of system names and it says 'Make entries in all required fields".
I just have to create one system, then why am I prompted to enter description for all the available systems.
How to avoid this situation? Please help.
Regards,
NIKEKAB.Hi Nikekab,
When you create a logical system, both the fields, its name and description are mandatory fields. So they have to be filled up.
If you know the actual descriptions for the remaining logical systems, please fill them also.
As to how the descriptions are empty for the already existing systems, someone may have directly created these entries at table level using some program. -

Hi
I had created a IDCO,with z-segment with the Vendor Details(LFA1-table) fileds.
Please tell me the TOCDE for Creating the idoc.
VipinHi Vipin,
I am giving you some additional info about idocs:
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
How to create idoc?
*WE30 - you can create a IDOC type
For more information in details on the same along with the examples can be viewed on:

Follow steps to create more number of segments
Create IDOC Type
Go to transaction code WE30
Enter the Object Name, select Basic type and click Create icon
Select the create new option and enter a description for your basic IDOC type and press enter
Select the IDOC Name and click Create icon
The system prompts us to enter a segment type and its attributes
Choose the appropriate values and press Enter
The system transfers the name of the segment type to the IDOC editor.
Follow these steps to add more number of segments to Parent or as Parent-child relation
Save it and go back
Go to Edit -> Set release
Create Message Type
Go to transaction code WE81
Change the details from Display mode to Change mode
After selection, the system will give this message The table is cross-client (see Help for further info). Press Enter

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
Outbound Process
Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
Create Segment ( WE31)
Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

Try this..Hope this will help.
SAP ALE & IDOC<<<<
Steps to configuration(Basis) >>
1. Create Logical System (LS) for each applicable ALE-enabled client
2. Link client to Logical System on the respective servers
3. Create background user, to be used by ALE(with authorizaton for ALE postings)
4. Create RFC Destinations(SM59)

The functional configuration(Tcode: SALE)
Create a Customer Distribution Model (CDM);
Add appropriate message types and filters to the CDM;
Generate outbound partner profiles;
Distribute the CDM to the receiving systems; and
Generate inbound partner profiles on each of the clients.
Steps to customize a new IDoc >>>

hi all
What is the relationship between listing (KOTG link for customer) and updating the sales in the infostructure for reporting purpose.
When we do MCS1 analysis we are able to get the sales volume, but i was told by me colleague if this listing (KOTG link) is not maintained it does not get updated. Is that so?
If yes, could you please explain me in detail how the info structure is updated?
Also how is MCS1 is different from MCSI.
thanxHi,
Sorry to say that, your question is not clear. Let me try to help you as per my understanding :
There is no relation between KOTG (Material listing/Exclusion) and sales Infostructure. Sales will be updated in to the info structures irrespective of material listing / Exclusion, if Info structure is configured properly.
Coming to the comparision of MCS1 and MCSI, MCS1 is the Tcode for Info structures with Application 41 (Logistics General) and MCSI is the Tcode for Infostructures with application 01 (Sales and Distribution).
Infostructure updation for a new Info structure:
1. Create an Infostructure
2. Create an Update group if required
3. Maintain update rules
4. Maintain and assign statistics groups for Sales document types/ Delivery types, Item categories, Customer, Material.
5. Mark the relevant billing document types for updation
6. Assing the update group at header level and Item level
7. Activate the infostructure for updation
All the above configuration can be done in IMG -> LG -> LIS -> Logistics data warehouse -> Data Basis/Updating.
You can simulate how the documents are getting updated in to the info strutures. Following are the Tcodes:
Sales order - MCVR
Delivery - MCVT
Billing document - MCVV
Hope this Helps....

Hi all,
I am new to IDoc and got a requirement where I want to mass update the Sales Order BOM in SAP. I have to use the IDOC type BOMORD01, message type BOMORD with the inbound function module IDOC_INPUT_BOMORD in order to mass create Sales Order BOM. I have been provided input file with following fields:
Order Number
Item Number
Material
BOM Usage
Item Category
Components
Quantity
Indicator (Create/Delete)
Could you please tell me the steps-by-step approach with TCODES?
Thanks in advance.

Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an

While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system.

Error in creation of PurOrd IDoc
Hi All,
I have set up the output type for PO and created patner profiles and also add the message types ORDER and ORDCHG but when I save the PO and check the messages, I get an error: " No recipient found for message type ORDERS in the ALE Model ".
What could be the possible problem?
Highly appreciate any kind of help.
Thanks in advance,
Shweta

Create The Extension Segment
Transaction: WE31
The first step in extending an IDoc is to create the new segments that will go into that IDoc. There are some rules that you need to follow when creating the segments:
- The name of each segment type must start with Z1
- For each field in the segment you need to define a field name and a
data element.
- The data element for the segment structure must be of data type CHAR.
How to create new segments:
Run the segment maintenance transaction WE31.
Type your new segment name, and click on Create.
Define the fields of your segment:
Field name
Data Element for the field (from the ABAP dictionary).
Do not change the Export length!
Save the segment
Run Segment -->Check to check the segment for consistency.
Release the segment for transport. Select Edit -->Set Release. Note that the Release column now has a check mark.
Create the Extension IDoc Type
Transaction: WE30
After you create the segments to be added to the extension type, you can create the extension type itself. Execute transaction WE30, enter the extension name, select Extension type, and click Create. You now have three options:
Create new type: Does not refer to other extension types
Create copy: Copies info from an extension type that already exists
Create successor: Extends an extension type from a previous release
of R/3. You can only have one version of an extension type for
each release.
Enter the Basic IDoc type that this extension type will extend.
The screen now shows the structure of the IDoc type you used as
a reference.
Position the cursor on one of the segments and click Create. This will insert an extension segment as a child of the selected segment.
NOTE: A segment cannot appear more than once in an IDoc type! You must control the use of duplicate segments with the segment attributes (the next screen).
The segment attribute screen appears. Enter the information and save.
Extension segments should not be mandatory (for future upgrades), and will need to have minimum and maximum number of instances defined. This answers the question, for each instance of the parent segment, how many instances of the child segment may we have?
You can press the Segment Editor pushbutton to view or change the segment definition.
Create the new Message Type
You can only use an extension IDoc type by assigning it to a message type. You can create a new message type for this.
First the message type itself needs to be created.
Transaction: WE81
Create a new entry and save. Use SAP established customer naming conventions (good form is to start with a Z and retain the rest of the related SAP message type, so, for example, MATMAS becomes ZMATMAS).
After creating the message type, associate it with the corresponding Basic IDoc Type and Extension Type. This relationship is used when IDocs are sent to or received from a partner to determine what segments are valid and what the hierarchy for those segments is.
Transaction: WE82
Create a new entry and enter the Message type, Basic IDoc type, Extension type, and Release, and save your data. Note: the release assignment is not valid for prior SAP releases.
One message type can be associated with many basic IDoc types; however, you need a one-to-one relationship for distribution via ALE.

srinivas
