Tcode SPRO configuration in SE97

Hi,
Last week, I deleted tcode SM30 from one IMG role, but i find that many configurations in IMG could not be operated, because of lacking t-code SM30. I wanted to change t-code SPRO's configuration in SE97, so i changed "called transaction code" SM30's check indicator from YES to No, it works. But I'm wondering if this is a good approach to skip SM30 check in IMG, and is there any side effect?

How to download and upload SPRO configuration to and from local disk?

Hello,
I'm very new to SAP. Recently we had a problem while refreshing our QNA system from PRD. I knew there are some configurations, which do not have a transport and thus configured directly in QNA. These changes were not noted by mistake and after the refresh from PRD, we have lost these configurations.
Is there any way we can save the SPRO configurations to local disk and upload them again? Are there any custom programs available? Please advice?

The trouble with these kind of situations is that an applet runs on the client. If you want an applet to connect to a specific server (which means the client makes a connection to that server), you basically have to give the entire world access rights to that server. I don't think your friendly local administrator will be too happy with such a prospect.
What you could do is put a man in the middle. Don't upload to the file server directly, but to for example the web server where the applet was downloaded from, for example by making a servlet available that takes a HTTP file upload. When that upload is complete, send the file from your man in the middle server to the file server using whatever method you like/have available/know how to code. In this situation only your web server needs access to the file server, which is far easier to secure.

BOM SPRO Configuration

Hello,
I want to know how can I do the customization be set for the below requirement.
While creating the BOM, The system must prevent usage of material items having invalid status (e.g. x-plant material status 50)? i.e. When the user adds an item with invalid status, the item should not be added to that BOM Header.
Can I set this in SPRO configuration? How can I set this?

Hello Mr. Ulf,
It is possible in SPRO itself....
Goto OMS4 -Select the X plant status ( For example if the item is Phantom , it will be 03 ) -Double click on the status -Here in BOM Header Message -Keep it as Error (B) .As user will try to add those item , then you keep the BOM Item message as B (As error)

If configuration is already done then first you have make configuration document in word your own.You can take screen shot by using print screen function or you have to write down the path for the configuration and settings done by you at each stages.There is no direct way by which you can get the print out for the configurations done.All configuration documents that u can find on the net irrespective of module are first prepared manually and then are uploaded so that any one can take its print out.Hope it is cleared.

How to find the changes made in spro configuration?

Dear Friends,
From my client side, some configuration changes were happened directly to production client not by the consultants. How to trace this that what changes have been made through log or table. We found that in spro->utilities->change log is in switched off mode. We came to know that through this log we can find the changes happened or not. Is it so? or is there any other solution to trace it?

How to configure SPRO configuration ?

I am writing a program like SDPACKDR for printing the SAPscript when creating new entry with the transaction MIGO or VL31n ..., I have created the message type in the SPRO , and modify the condition for that sy-subrc = 0 ( When the FORM check the condition if ok , it will return sy-subrc = ) And the printing program will be launched . But when i execute the transaction MIGO or VL31n , there is nothing launched . Was the configuration in the SPRO wrong ? please help me ?

Hey Thom,
Issue 1).
In SOLAR_PROJ_ADMIN, the reason you get those red icons because settings which are maintained are not as recemmended by SAP,
For e.g
if you define a Production sytem in your project landscape, then Cross-client changes are NOT permitted, however its permitted if it were a Development system.
Just click on the red icon and then on your right, you will see the tab where you get know what went wrong and correct it if neccssary.
Issue 2)
With Solman 4.0 distribution routes tabs are not present.
There are *.sim files and configuration available for Change request management in sap marketplace, but they are valid only for SOLMAN 3.2.
This is where you get them.

US GAAP /Tcode Y_DE1_92000043 configuration

There is a Tcode Y_DE1_92000043 which is executed at month end to take care of US GAAP reporting requirement. What it does is it takes all sales bill which are in transit. Transit time calculated by adding billing date + transit time defined in SD master for each customer. These billing documents are reversed in FI & posted to US GAAP accounts. Thus sales now have only goods received by customer.

in validations u have to create steps / levels ,
say step 1.
step1-> pre.requi->
if Username = 'Prabhu'
step1->checks->
Company Code = 'PIH'.
step1->message->
here u have to give message class / message type (I/W/E...)and messag text 'prabhu is from PIH'.
after that activate this validations , u Can call this Validations at Tcode level.
