TCP_Miss/403 611

Hi all,
I'm looking for some guidance on a problem i'm facing with Ironport. Our external company website has a flash clock widget that loads 8 different timezones. Depending on the website page you visit it may only load 6 of the 8 clocks. The problem is not consistent per user, so for example I may visit a certain page and get 5 out of 8 clocks but another user may visit the same page and get all 8.
When I look through the logs in Ironport I get the following message for the clocks that do not appear:  TCP_MISS/403 611 There are no other blocks showing against the Access Policies set in Ironport so i'm lost as to why this is being forbidden (403) Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
DC

Hi DC,
You will need to grep for the access logs while testing this application. What your looking for are requests made by the application which are being blocked by your access policies hence the 403 that your already seeing in the access logs. Once you have determined the URLs being requested by the application add those URLs to a custom URL category: WSA GUI -> Web Security Manager -> Custom URL Category -> submit -> commit your changes. You will also need to add this custom URL category to a No Authentication Access / Identity which will also contain a No Authentication Identity. Usually in this scenario you will already have a default No Auth Identity based on your class of network A,B,C created with a Custom URL Category already directly associated to that identity. This type of Access Policy , Identity, Custom URL Category is designed for applications , Operating system updates etc...

When I try to login to the website of my bank, I get the following error message:
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
I have a new MacBook Air with OS Yosemite installed.
What is the problem and how can I solve it?

Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
    Back up all data.
Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    com.apple.idms.appleid.prd
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Paste into the search field in the Keychain Access window by clicking in it and pressing the key combination command-V. An item may appear in the list of keychain items. The Name will begin with string you searched for, and the Kind will be "certificate."
Delete the item by selecting it and pressing the delete key. It will be recreated automatically the next time you launch the Messages or FaceTime application.
The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

One can also restart the computer. After it shuts down leave it off for at least a minute and then reattempt access the site once computer is back on and running. I would also check to make sure that Java is up to date and that Adobe Flash is up to date.

    Conforme imagem:
    http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/709/screenhunter07jun081241.jpg/
Sim, tentei reiniciar a parte j2ee.
Obrigado!
    Atenciosamente, Fernando Da Ró

  • [RESOLVED] Unable to move dev directory for Apache, keep getting 403

    Hello,
I'd like to move my default /srv/http directory for my PHP pages to a different location (somewhere in my home directory) for convenience.  This is exclusively for local development.  However, after making the same change in two places, I restarted Apache and keep getting a 403 error.
    Here is my httpd.conf:
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so 'log/access_log'
    # with ServerRoot set to '/www' will be interpreted by the
    # server as '/www/log/access_log', where as '/log/access_log' will be
    # interpreted as '/log/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to point the LockFile directive
    # at a local disk. If you wish to share the same ServerRoot for multiple
    # httpd daemons, you will need to change at least LockFile and PidFile.
    ServerRoot "/etc/httpd"
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.

    Listen 127.0.0.1:80

    You're right.  I can't get there.
I tried to make Apache start up as me (my user), but got an error that said that it cannot start it up like that.  I think I have a possible solution for the given problem.  I'll my user to the http group and then work from /srv/http.
I'd love to get some feedback if someone has a different approach .  I love to learn from the experience of others .

  • Website on Mac Mini Server not accessible. Error 403 index document not available.

    Dear all,
I'm trying to host a website on my Mac Mini Server. As far as I can see, my DNS is working correctly. Also my firewall is setup correctly. (I'm hosting another website which works OK). But I setup a new site. Basically a copy of the working site. But this site doesn't reflect an index.htm page. I receive an Error 403 with further information that there is no index document or that the site is secured. There is a contact link on this page directing to my webmaster. So I conclude that something is working, but no index.htm page. Has anyone similar experience? And offcourse a solution?
    Many thanks.

Launch Terminal.app and issue the commands:
    cd /Library/Webserver/Documents/
    ls -al
And see if the files are readable by the web server.   Here's an example index file listing that's owned by root and with group access for admin folks, and this file is marked as readable and writable for the owner and the group, and is readable for everybody else:
    -rw-rw-r--    1 root  admin   5094 Jul 25  2009 index.html
In this configuration, the web server would be using the other access; the web server can read this file, but not write to it.  Here is how to duplicate these ownership and access settings on your own index.html file, assuming that you have that file present in the ls listing above, and assuming that you have issued the cd (change default directory) command shown above:
    sudo chown root:admin index.html
    sudo chmod ug=rw,o=r index.html
You will need to enter your administrative password for the sudo command.
I would very strongly suggest that you start learning some basics of bash and of Apache, because you're going to be needing those skills very soon.

  • Getting HTTP 403/500 errors when accessing SharePoint 2010 pages

    Hi,
I'm getting intermittent HTTP 403/500 errors when accessing SharePoint Foundation 2010 pages.
When it happens, any SharePoint pages I access I get a HTTP 403 error (example: /sites/test/default.aspx) . If I don't specify a page, I get a HTTP 500 error (example: /sites/test/). What's odd is that I have non-SharePoint .NET applications running on the
same server under the "_layouts" directory and those still work just fine.
After recycling the IIS application pool, it starts to work again, but sometime won't stay up very long.
Does anyone encounter this problem before?
    TIA
Also, I'm hoping to understand what the "Microsoft.SharePoint.Library.SPRequest.GetFileAndMetaInfo" method does to help me track down this issue. If you have any info on what the above method is doing, I really appreciated.

  • IIS Server 7.5 403 Forbidden Access Denied Error after submitting login Page

    Hi All,
Need help to resolve below error:
403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
Getting this error once hitting submit button, here i am entering only user name it should give an alert msg asking for the password.
The application is running on IIS server 7.5 and recently enabled Anonymous Authentication and since then it is giving this error.
But if i am accessing the application locally it means in server machine it is working but from remote system it gives 403 error.
    Regards,
    Kirti

    Hi,
it's difficult to say what exactly is causing without more info on you confiuration.
I'm, from you description, assuming a webpage that was configured for forms authentication. You enabled anonymous authentication and now it no longer works.
Forms authentication relies on webpage logic. In most cases, you cannot replace it 'like that' by another authentication method as the login page contains logic on how to store the usercredentials and/or authorization and were to go after authentication
    has finished.
Anonymous authentication relies on the  application pool identitiy (or the anonymous user) having RX access to the content. Depending the configurations you made when enabling anonyous authentication, you might aditionnaly need to assign an identity
to the anonymous user and configure ntfs privilges on the content.
Check IIS logs and event logs for information. if you do not succeed to resolve, I would suggets to post on teh iis.net forums and include detailed configuration information.

  • Apache server + mod_python - Error 403

    Hi.
I'm totally new in Apache server. As topic says, I have problems with permissions to my server directory. Here's my httpd.conf file:
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
    # configuration directives that give the server its instructions.
    # See <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/> for detailed information.
    # In particular, see
    # <URL:http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/directives.html>
    # for a discussion of each configuration directive.
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions in here without understanding
    # what they do. They're here only as hints or reminders. If you are unsure
    # consult the online docs. You have been warned.
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the filenames you specify for many
    # of the server's control files begin with "/" (or "drive:/" for Win32), the
    # server will use that explicit path. If the filenames do *not* begin
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot is prepended -- so "logs/access_log"
    # with ServerRoot set to "/usr/local/apache2" will be interpreted by the
    # server as "/usr/local/apache2/logs/access_log", whereas "/logs/access_log"
    # will be interpreted as '/logs/access_log'.
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory tree under which the server's
    # configuration, error, and log files are kept.
    # Do not add a slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot at a non-local disk, be sure to specify a local disk on the
    # Mutex directive, if file-based mutexes are used. If you wish to share the
    # same ServerRoot for multiple httpd daemons, you will need to change at
    # least PidFile.
    ServerRoot "/etc/httpd/"
    # Mutex: Allows you to set the mutex mechanism and mutex file directory
    # for individual mutexes, or change the global defaults
    # Uncomment and change the directory if mutexes are file-based and the default
    # mutex file directory is not on a local disk or is not appropriate for some
    # other reason.
    # Mutex default:/run/httpd
    # Listen: Allows you to bind Apache to specific IP addresses and/or
    # ports, instead of the default. See also the <VirtualHost>
    # directive.
    # Change this to Listen on specific IP addresses as shown below to
    # prevent Apache from glomming onto all bound IP addresses.
    #Listen 12.34.56.78:80
    Listen 80

  • My Sites error - 403 and "We're almost ready!" plaguing web application

On an in-house managed farm, a My Site web application has been created per the instructions provided from
Microsoft. The web application uses the managed path "personal" at the root of
http://mysites.  The initial "We're almost ready!" screen when accessing a social feature like
Newsfeed was anticipated.  However, in attempting to update the My Site content (i.e. profile information, newsfeed settings), the user is presented with a 403 Forbidden page - "The website declined to show this page".
In ULS, this is made abundantly clear as well in the following logs:

    Initial troubleshooting sources have included:
    Bernando Nguyen's
    post
    Praveen's TechNet
    blog
SharePoint Brian's suggestion to re-run the Product & Config wizard here
Troubleshooting efforts so far in addition to the sources quoted above:
Checking account permissions (obvious, with an "access denied" message) for UPA, Metadata and Workflow service accounts
Creating a special permission policy for the web application to allow "Everyone" to create subsites
Checking SQL rights for SA's and their respective DB's
Started IIS application pool "SecurityTokenServiceApplicationPool" (it was stopped initially)
ANY help in further troubleshooting this issue would be greatly appreciated.  I have already re-created the web application multiple times with the same results each time.  Thank you.
    Eric

I re-created the web application again.  What's the definition of insanity?  Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result?  Well, in this case I actually did get a different result.  At least this time there
    wasn't a 403 error, but a 404!  Success!
In any case, I used a load balancer for this farm and re-mapped the bindings in IIS to point to that IP.  Lo and behold, we have lift off!  Everything is working, even the social features.  All it took was me talking to myself in a forum and
doing repetitive tasks expecting different results... oh, hang on, there's a nice gentleman in a white coat here to take me some place nice.  Thank you!

  • Getting a "403 Forbidden" error when I login ..

Hi all ... Well yesterday I did a new installation of Oracle Express Edition 11g DB, which installed fine ... I then installed OC4J, and then finally installed APEX Listener 4.1 ...
Now, when I opened 127.0.0.1:8888/apex/listenerAdmin for the very first time .. I saw a page where I was to configure the connection .. At that point I was unable to get the 'Basic' connection working (I think the error was that the Listener was unable at connect to the database), and so I closed down that page ..
Now, one day later, when I open 127.0.0.1:8888/apex/listenerAdmin, I am asked for some login details ... I don't know what to put here to login .. In fact I have not successfully logged in here even once ..
However, some clues are as follows: Before installing APEX Listener, I defined some new roles and users from the OC4J web interface ... If I try logging in through any of these, I get the '403 Forbidden' error ... Otherwise, if I enter any other random login details, the same login box keeps popping up ..
So anyone know whats the problem here ? ... I suspect that no connect between APEX Listener and the Oracle DB is yet defined, which is why these problems are occuring ...
I tried 'undeploying' APEX listener from the OC4J web interface, and then again 'deploying' it, but the exact same thing is happening ..
Can anyone help me out here ?
    EDIT:
I assume maybe I'm supposed to use the APEX_PUBLIC_USER account, which I configured in oracle before installing APEX (as per intructions in Oracle installation guides), but even when I try logging in through APEX_PUBLIC_USER, my login details are not accepted ... Also, I AM able to login into Oracle Database using APEX_PUBLIC_USER, but not in APEX Listener ... And since unlike what I described above, when I enter my APEX_PUBLIC_USER login details, the same login prompt keeps reappearing, meaning the login is not recognised at all ...

    Hi,
Now, when I opened 127.0.0.1:8888/apex/listenerAdmin for the very first time .. I saw a page where I was to configure the connection .. At that point I was unable to get the 'Basic' connection working (I think the error was that the >Listener was unable at connect to the database), and so I closed down that page ..I think the page you actually opened was http://127.0.0.1:8888/apex/listenerConfigure . At least, this is the page for the initial configuration. You can call it again until you've configured the database successful for the first time.
Now, one day later, when I open 127.0.0.1:8888/apex/listenerAdmin, I am asked for some login details ... I don't know what to put here to login .. In fact I have not successfully logged in here even once ..The admin page needs the credentials you've configured on your OC4J.
However, some clues are as follows: Before installing APEX Listener, I defined some new roles and users from the OC4J web interface ... If I try logging in through any of these, I get the '403 Forbidden' error ...... which you seem to have done, but probably you've some typo in there. Please note that you have to use the exact role names as described in the installation manual. A common problem is that users don't care about case sensitivity... This would fit to the symptom: You have a correct username/password combination, so the basic authentication is done, but the user is not authorized to call listenerAdmin because he doesn't have the appropriate role.

  • BizTalk exposed WCF 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied WCF

Im using BizTalk server 2010.cretaed Certificate in IIS and shared to client the same as a public cert.
Im using httpsTransport with customBinding.followed below url
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/bizintegration1/archive/2011/08/23/exposing-biztalk-orchestration-as-a-wcf-service-over-ssl.aspx
When I try to Browse in BizTalk server with https, im able to browse, but in the client side, they are not able to browse
and they get "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied." Is there anythng that needs to be set in BizTalk or the settings should be done at the client end?
IIS autehntification mode is anonymous is configued.plz let me know anything to do in biztalk and IIS level
    Regards BizTalkWorship

This is because your client has not provided the certificate while browsing the service URL.
If they (client) have installed the certificate in correct folder and then while browsing folder the service, client should provide the certificate through browser.
For Internet Explorer, a pop-up should with all the certificates
installed in their personal store. They need to select the certificate that they already installed in it.
    Look into this article (from
On the client side: section onwards) for how to browse the service from IE by providing the certificate.
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/asiatech/archive/2014/02/13/how-to-configure-iis-client-certificate-mapping-authentication-for-iis7.aspx
Note: Above article is just relavant to you from
On the client side: section onwards i.e for instructing your client to use certificate while browsing.
    FireFox
You will get an error that says “HTTP Error 403.7 – Forbidden” “The page you are attempting to access requires your browser to have a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
client certificate that the Web server recognizes.”
    In
FireFox go to Tools –> Options –> Advanced –> Encryption –> View Certificates
Click import and select the certificate with private key file you exported earlier (the .pfx file)
You will need to clear history now or restart browser
Just FYI for installing certifate correctly in client side, if they use Windows (off-course):
MMC, add certificate snap-in for “current user”
Browse to Certificates (Current User) –> Personal –> Certificates
Right click this node and select All Tasks and Import from the popup menu
Follow the steps in the wizard, selecting the public certificate you have shared o client.

  • OAB Problem - 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied

We have an exchange 2010 deployment where I am unable to browse the OAB with
https://ServerName/OAB everytime I do, I get 403 error saying "You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied" http redirection IS turned on for owa,I did make sure
to only redirect the default website to OWA directory, I also added permissions for authenticated users to access web.config located at C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB, and I am still getting the same error :-(
    any ideas?

    Hi Shah,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I'd say, the
https://servername/oab/<GUID>/oab.xml should be available. So, please try the oab.xml to see if the permission is setup correctly. You may find the GUID number
in the CAS server via folder C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB.
For the default virtual directory permission/authentication settings, see
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2010/09/23/3411146.aspx.
Regarding the Lync scheduler, there might be misconfigure or misunderstanding. Could you reproduce this issue? If so, please describe the steps
in detail so that I can try in my local lab.
    Best regards,
