TDE key label: differences between ORACLE.TDE.HSM.MK and ORACLE.TSE.HSM.MK

In Oracle TDE 11g R2, what's the difference between the TDE MEK(s):
ORACLE.TDE.HSM.MK
ORACLE.TSE.HSM.MK
Oracle TDE was searching (C_FindObjects) for a key with key label "ORACLE.TSE.HSM.MK.xxxxxxxxxxxxxx", but I don't have it. What is this key for ?
And, when it is not found, it reports: "ORA-28374: typed master key not found in wallet"
Thanks!
Best,
Steve

Hi,
OS: RedHat Linux 5 (Enterprise) 64 bits with Intel CPU
DB version: Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
HSM vendor: my own software implementation of PKCS #11 for educational purpose.
And, as for comparison, this works with SafeNet HSM (Protect C Toolkit Software version)
Best,
Steve

What is the difference between 11.1.0.1 And 11.1.0.1.1

11.1.0.1 is the base version of Oracle installed on the system.
11.1.0.1.1 is the version of PSU (patch set update) applied to the base release version.

  • Difference between Excise duty on Setoff and Excise duty on Inventory

    Hi,
What is the difference between Excise duty for Setoff and Excise duty for Inventory?
    regards,
    sathya

    hi Sathya
Excise duty on set off means the values goes to a particular G/L and take the credit of it whie selling the material. Excise duty on inventory means your value will get loaded to your inventory. In case of duties on set off, you define your own account keys against condition type in tax procedure and G/L is assigned to this Acc key on OBYC/OB40. and in case of duty on inventory, standard acc key NVV is assigned and no G/L assignment is carried out in OBYC/OB40.

  • Difference between ALC Forms ES module and ALC Output ES module

    Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has implemented just the Adobe Output ES module in any of the projects.
I am into a project where we are integrating ALC with one of the insurance application for document generation and correspondence generation.
Confused whether to go with Forms ES module, Output ES module or both?
Can someone please throw light on these modules? I know there is info on the website but would like to know the advantages and disadvnantages of using either one of the module or both?
If just Output module is used how will the insurance application interact with ALC?

    Jianghuai,
The link you have gotten from Ivan provides great information sources.
Note that those are not four different distributions, meaning linux-based operating systems, all are RHEL -- check out the FAQ, items 1 and 2. I would say main differences between family members are licensing and support offerings or subscriptions. AS, ES for "server" and WS, Desktop for the "desktop".
"ES is licensed for servers with up to 2 CPUs and 16GB of main memory while AS is licensed for servers of any size and any architecture."
Oracle products are generally not supported on the desktop variants.

  • Difference between use of decision table and if/then in business rules

    Hello ,
Could some one please explain me difference between use of decision table and if/then in business rules in short.
    - Shirish

    Hi,
They are equivalent, pretty much what you can do with a decision table you can also do with if/then...
However, decision tables provide automated features that can reduce the number of required rules, as compared to the if/then rules (this is called rule coalescing).
Have a look on this document... Search for 5.1.1 What is a Decision Table?

I believe information about the terms mentioned are well explained in the document link shared by Suntrupth so I won't explain all of them. But one thing that I believe is requiring a little clarity and that's the use of the term LGWR with the SYNCH and ASYNCH. The usual understanding is it's the LGWR that sends the message to the LNS which further would forward the change vectors to the standby site. But actually its always the LNS that reads the change vectors directly from the log buffer. That's the reason that 11g docs no longer mentions the keyword LGWR along with the SYNC and ASYNC.

  • Differences between operational systems data modeling and data warehouse da

    Hello Everyone,
Can anybody help me understand the differences between operational systems data modeling and data warehouse data modeling>
    Thanks

    Hello A S!
What you mean is the difference between modelling after normal form like in operational systems (OLTP) e. g. 3NF and modelling a InfoCube in a data warehouse (OLAP)?
While in a OLTP you want to have data tables free of redundance and ready for transactions meaning writing and reading few records often, in an OLAP-system you need to read a lot of data for every query you do on a database. Often in an OLAP-system you aggregate these amounts of data.
Therefore you use another principle for these database scheme. This is called star schema. This means that you have one central table (called fact table) which holds the key figures and have keys to another tables with characteristics. These other tables are called dimension tables. They hold combinations of the characteristics. Normally you design it that your dimensions are small, so the access  on the data is more efficent.
the star scheme in SAP BI is a little more complex than explained here but it follows the same concept.

  • What is the difference between sales order with picking and without picking

    hi friends,
i would like to know what is the difference between sales order with picking and without picking.
    thanks
    skrishnan

    Hello,
Picking refers to preparing the right quantity and quality of goods for shipping on schedule as required by the customer.
Once picking is configured, SAP Sd automatically generates picking lists and picking labels which can be tagged to the relevant goods. SAP can be configured to ensure that picked quantity is confirmed before goods are issued. This can be done using transaction code VSTK. In T-code VSTK, picking confirmations can be set, which ensure that goods picked for delivery are in accordance with picking slips.
Picking thus helps in monitoring each item using the picking status. Picking is normally done in SAP SD by a shipping clerk.

  • Difference between fully-specified data types. and generic types

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference between fully-specified data types and generic types.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    P.S.

    HI
    Generic table types
    INDEX TABLE
For creating a generic table type with index access.
    ANY TABLE
For creating a fully-generic table type.
Data types defined using generic types can currently only be used for field symbols and for interface parameters in procedures . The generic type INDEX TABLEincludes standard tables and sorted tables. These are the two table types for which index access is allowed. You cannot pass hashed tables to field symbols or interface parameters defined in this way. The generic type ANY TABLE can represent any table. You can pass tables of all three types to field symbols and interface parameters defined in this way. However, these field symbols and parameters will then only allow operations that are possible for all tables, that is, index operations are not allowed.
    Fully-Specified Table Types
    STANDARD TABLE or TABLE
    For creating standard tables.
    SORTED TABLE
    For creating sorted tables.
    HASHED TABLE
    For creating hashed tables.
Fully-specified table types determine how the system will access the entries in the table in key operations. It uses a linear search for standard tables, a binary search for sorted tables, and a search using a hash algorithm for hashed tables.
