TDMoIP on Cisco Product

Hi,
I am trying to transport unframed E1 over our MPLS netwrok. Is there any Cisco card/module that support TDMoIP protocol. We have two PA-MC-STM 1 module that is installed in our 7604 PE routers but our test to provide the E1 over MPLS network fails.
Please if someone has some idea of using cisco module to provide TDMoIP .
regards
Navi

Dears,
I have question regardig TDMoIP. I hope you can support and apprecte your support in advance.
I have 2 ME3600 swicthe, both of then have OC3 liscence enabled. I implemented SaToP between the two nodes. I configured the controller sonet 1/0/0 as single E1 just for testing. The customer is connected like the following
CE (STM-1 interface from SDH) - Node A (ME3600 SW)   ----- MPLS ----- Node B (ME3600 SW) - (STM-1 interface from SDH) CE
The customer is sourcing the clock through the STM-1 inerface in both sites. So, I would like to use the clock from both sites as the source clock for both of the ends. I do not want to carry the clock from one site to another through ethernet.
This is the config.
Node A
controller SONET 1/0/0
alarm-report all
framing sdh
clock source line
overhead s1s0 0
aug mapping au-4
au-4 1 tug-3 1
  mode c-12
  tug-2 1 e1 1 cem-group 1 unframed
  tug-2 1 e1 1 framing unframed
  tug-2 1 e1 1 clock source Line
network-clock synchronization mode QL-enabled
network-clock input-source 1 controller SONET 1/0/0
network-clock quality-level rx QL-SEC controller SONET 1/0/0
network-clock log ql-changes
Node B : same as Node A
Please correct me if the configuratuion is wrong. If it is right then what will be the clock source of other E1s that we need to add later on besides the first E1 shown above ?
I have noticed through my monitoring system (which has scanning interval of 30s) that the traffic which is 2.05 mb is being 1.9 mb every 20 min. Is this because there is problem in clocking ?
Your support is highly apprectaed.
looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,
Recently i ran into some issue when processing a RMA for Cisco 3925 router.
I've RMAed the chassis but the i got the part, it didnt have a system board.
When i contacted Cisco, they mentioned that the system board can/must be RMAed separately.
Is there any documentation or list for Cisco Products that has system board as a FRU?
    Thanks

Before the replacment part/unit is shipped, you always get a shipping document in an email.  This document will list down what item(s) are being shipped.

  • RSS FEED FOR CISCO PRODUCT LAUNCHES

Get notified as soon as we launch new Cisco products.
    See It in Action
What do you think about the RSS Feeds for Cisco products launches concept? Is it useful? Are there places on Cisco.com where you would like to see it? Do you think the idea should evolve into something different? Do you think this pilot should be dropped? Discuss it now.

I use it (just found it recently) and I like it. I would love to see one just for IOS features. It's nearly impossible to keep up on new IOS features (ie zone based firewalling) and I believe RSS would be a great help to us that use and sell Cisco products.

  • Can Prime Infastructure 2.1 support Non-Cisco Products? Import a MIB from a Non-Cisco Product?

I have an Non-cisco product that I which to manage by way of SNMP.
The product has MIB's so can PI support it, and can I import the MIB?
    Thanks

You can design custom SNMP polling templates to monitor third-party or Cisco devices and device groups. Using this feature, you can:
Upload the SNMP MIB for the device type, then choose devices and attributes to poll and the polling frequency.
Upload a single MIB definition file, or a group of MIBs with their dependencies as a ZIP file.
Deploy the custom SNMP polling template the same way as other monitoring templates.
Display the results as a line chart or a table.
This feature enables you to easily repeat polling for the same devices and attributes, and can be used to customize the way Cisco devices are polled using SNMP.
You can create a maximum of 25 custom SNMP polling templates.
For more details on how to create custom SNMP Template, please the user guide.

  • Cisco Security Advisory: TCP State Manipulation Denial of Service Vulnerabilities in Multiple Cisco Products

    Hi Tom,
I checked that advisory, and noted that it was specifically looking at Layer three products. I will due to due diligence and direct your enquiry to one of the Cisco Product Managers responsible for the SRW series product.

  • Best place to get a complete list of Cisco Product IDs

I'm tyring to find one place to get a complete list of Cisco product IDs-
I woud like the list to include hardware and software products like LMS, WCS, NCS, Prime Infrastructure, CNR, etc

it can be frustrating having to jump all over to find a product ID when there's surely/hopefully 1 cental local that has a complete list.
LOL!  I'm sure it can be.
I would go to the Cisco Download main page.  And here, you have two ways of determining it.  You can either scroll down the description list until you hit the last window which gives you the complete PID or you just type in a few characters.
The downside to all of this are some small parts like, rack mounting kits, SFPs, NM/NME which are not found here.
Sorry, I can't help you other than that.  Like I said, you should have more access since you are employed by Cisco and have access to behind-the-scene restrictred applications.

  • Cisco product

I am completely computer illiterate to start so bear with me. I bought a Cisco booster in March of 2013 hoping my internet would work faster. It seemed to help a bit (things would load in 3 minutes instead of 10) so I was a little happier, but still frustrated with how long it took to load -so my kids finally convinced me to buy a new computer this June 2014, so I did, thinking that would speed everything up...and it did... a little... but I was still frustrated that it took like 15-20 seconds to load... that was down from the 3 minutes, so it all seemed better. Then when I couldn't stand it any longer, I called Verizon today (we have the bundle) because I thought they could help me trouble shoot. They did, but they wanted me to purchase a booster from them and I said I already had one back in my room-the Cisco product. They suggested I call Linksys to help me trouble shoot how to set my Cisco properly, now that we have narrowed the problem down to the Cisco.
So when I spoke with Margaret from Linksys, she tells me that my warrantee was up and I was going to have to pay another $30 to have her help me troubleshoot!!! Needless to say, I was quite surprised! I tried to ask her if there was anyone who could finally help me troubleshoot afterall these months of buying things to fix the problem and it all led me back to the Cisco. I didn't want to pay any more $$ after I bought the Linksys and the new computer and spent countless hours being super patient and clueless as to what the problem was. She said sorry but she couln't help, and when I told her I just need some customer service to hold my hand throught this, and that I really needed some good customer service, she basically told me to go to the website and figure it out there and then hung up! WOW! I never raised my voice once, I just kindly asked for a human being to walk me through this, and that was not something they offered! the worst was Margaret hanging up! I was shocked. Not super interested in ever buying a Linksys product again! Help?!!
    Can anyone help me?
    Thank you,
    Caroline

Aww. That's sad. What router are you using? And which Cisco booster (model number) do you have? The best thing to do for now is to keep your devices up with their latest firmware versions. Adjusting the router's wireles channel and relocating your devices will also help avoid wireless interference and improve the overall wireless connection.

  • CISCO 2125 bad design by Cisco, product development should revise

I noticed Cisco product sales support staff is pushing 2125 WLAN controller as great WLAN solution. They got me into considering one as something what will work just fine.
I strongly disagree, this product is extremely poor design and it is missing gigabit port for LAN connection.
This product will support 25 APs with its eight 10/100 Mbps ports. Only 6 APs can be linked per port. So for 25 APs you are already using 5 ports. Per manual POE ports 7 & 8 should not be used for anything other than single AP so that leaves you with only 1 port #6 to connect to your LAN.
Yes, that is true, 100Mbps for all the WLAN users on the 25 access points and product is advertised to support high speed N wi-fi capable of doing 300Mbps per user node. What a nonsense? makes no sense even for lightweight use.
Makes you wonder who approved such product for production and what a bad design on the $6K piece of equipment
CISCO please put a Gigabit port on the 2100 series or stop marketing and pushing such poorly designed product.

  • Cisco Security Advisory: OpenSSL Heartbeat Extension Vulnerability in Multiple Cisco Products

    Hello Experts,
I need to rule out that we have affected openSSL version 1.0.1 running on our devices. I need to know what is the version of openSSL that is current on the following platforms:
    Cisco PIX
    Cisco FWSM
    Cisco ISR
    Cisco VPN Concentrator
I know ASA runs 0.9.8f and I know that PIX and Concentrator are very old, and they might run an older version, however for a security assessment I need to rule those out too.
Does anyone know what is the version for these platforms?
    Thanks in advance.

The definitive source is and will continue to be the Cisco Security Advisory. It has already been updated several times today. Please keep checking back to it at the following URL:
    http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140409-heartbleed
That said, the Pix and VPN Concentrator development and code release ended prior to the release of openssl with the vulnerability so I would hazard an educated guess that you won't have any problems with respect to this particular vulnerability. THAT said, if you're concerned about security vulnerabilities why are you running products with associated code that has not had other documented bugs and vulnerabilities patched for at least several years?
The ISR G2 will almost certainly depend on the IOS level and whether you are using any of the ssl-related features.

  • Dwdm cisco product selection

    Hello all,
i wanted to connect DC to DR site by 10g link.if i get the dark fibre, which Cisco optical product will meet my requirements for dwdm connection. i checked ONS 15454 but it seems its bit big as i am just using 1 pair of fiber.
    Any suggetions.
    thanks in advance.

We are not saying that the 15454 is the box for you. The distance and your expected wavelength growth helps determine what system to pick.
You mentioned your wanting to transport 1G links as well, then maybe a passive CWDM solution would work (see link below). This solution will also allow for a 1310nm channel to be added that could possibly be used with your 10G X2 module. There are also options to integrate with DWDM to add additional wavelengths (2nd link below).
    CWDM Solution
    <http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6575/index.html>
    EDWDM Solution
    <https://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps5455/product_data_sheet0900aecd806a1c36.html>
These passive systems can be easy to use versus deploying a full-blown DWDM system.
    Hope this helps!
