TDMS Direct Integration in NI-DAQmx Logging

Hi,
Is it possible to get the tdms file reference, when using the "TDMS Direct Integration in NI-DAQmx Logging" like that: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/9574/en/
I would need it to write manally data to an tdms-file while a DAQmx-task is logging the measured data to this file.
To open a second file reference is not possible, because it is blocked from the DAQ-task.

That`s my situation:
I have four analog channels (voltage-measurement) and i need to store the raw data in tdms format. So it would be nice to use the DAQmx to TDMS direct logging. But there is one Problem: I also have to log the sum of the four voltages and I want to log it to the same tdms-file as new channel.
If it is not possible to get the tdms-file reference out of the DAQ-Task, I have to use the traditional way (not using the direct logging) by reading the data and log it manually.

My requirement is - Log each one minute data in single TDMS file (irrespect of the sampling rate).
For this,
I do want to understand the "Logging - Samples per File" property node value.
The value which I am passing, needs to aligned to some "X" number.
For Example,
I am requesting "120000000 Samples per File"
But the corrected value is "120171520 Samples per File"
What is the relation between both the numbers? or How I can achieve this number pragmatically?

This error can be resolved be wiring the Logging.FileWriteSize input of the DAQmx Read property node to the required number of samples (120,000,000) .
The corrected number in this case (120171520) is related to the size of the volume sector in bytes.

AP541N giving "Michael MIC integrity failure" errors in log

Hi all...
My company has an AP541N and it was working fine for about six months, but now roughly once or twice a week it just stops working and needs to be restarted.
Whenever this happens, there are some log messages that look like they relate to the problem. It could be coincidence, but I'm fairly sure they are directly related to, if not the cause of, the issue. Here are the log messages:

Strangely enough, it's always the same MAC address. I've tried adding that address to the block list under MAC filtering but that hasn't changed anything.
I've tried to find that device but haven't been able to, it might be someone's phone and I can't figure out how to get the MAC address of some of the phones in the office.
Any ideas?

WPA implements the message integrity code (MIC), often referred to as "Michael," to guard against forgery attacks.
For authentication, WPA uses a combination of open system and 802.1x authentication. Initially, the wireless client authenticates with the access points, which authorizes the client to send frames to the access point. Next, WPA performs user-level authentication with 802.1x. WPA Interfaces to an authentication server, such as RADIUS or LDAP, in an enterprise environment. WPA is also capable of operating in what's known as "pre-shared key mode" if no external authentication server is available, such as in homes and small offices.
An issue that WPA does not fix yet is potential denial of service (DoS) attacks. If someone, such as a hacker or disgruntled employee, sends at least two packets each second using an incorrect encryption key, then the access point will kill all user connections for one minute. This is a defense mechanism meant to thwart unauthorized access to the protected side of the network.
Now what does this actually mean in your case? It most likely does not mean someone is trying to hack into your network to do anything malicious. It could be that someone is just trying to get free wireless or as you said someone's phone just scanning for access. So lets look at the MAC address using one of many free tools.

Using a MAC Address Lookup tool - I see that anything starting with "ec:1a:59" belongs to Belkin International Inc.
That tells me it is probably not a phone but possible a Laptop or Tablet. 2nd choice (less likely) would be a a Belkin router someone has added to the network.
I would look for a Laptop with a Belkin Wireless USB attached
Not sure of the magnitude of the search and where this is at but you could also compare the times when this starts to the work schedule of employees and see if you see anything.

Configuration of Integration Engine Trace and Logging

Hi,
on XI we can configure tracing and logging of messages via SXMB_ADM / Conf Integr Engine / category RUNTIME parameter LOGGING or TRACE_LEVEL. I connected an application system (WAS 6.20) and cant find this parameters. They r not chooseable. Does anybody know why? Is there another functionality to customize the trace?

Direct Path Loads Vs FORCED LOGGING

Hello everyone,
I just got below doubt.
Suppose, we've
One Oracle Primary Database (running in FORCED LOGGING mode) and,
One Oracle Standy Database (Oracle Data Gaurd)
My doubt is that if we use sqlloader direct path to load data in a table in primary database, will it generate/send the redo and ship the same to standby database ?

Biller Direct Integration with FI-CA

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the integration with biller direct. The connection test says that everything is okay. But when I'm trying to logon the following message appears:
"A general problem has occurred within the logon. The error message is: . "
Any ideas how to solve this problem?
I think the XCM configuration is okay. The connection between the application and the SAP system is okay as well. I already made some customizing in FI-CA. Is there something I missed?

I created an example user in the sap system ECC 6.0 linked with an business partner (Object1006). So the user data are stored in the backend (FI-CA).
With FI-AR I had no problems, it works fine. So it seems that there is really a customizing or something missing in FI-CA.

NO direct integration to external apps in SOD?!

Hi,
Could someone comfirm for me that SOD is not able to directly send out data from siebel into an external application directly?
It seems i can use workflow to trigger a record to be placed on an integration event queue. However i need a API that "reaches" into Siebel and PULLS the data off the queue and pushes it into the external applications. If this is the case, then this means the external application is a actually having to 'ping' the event queue all day for records. - is this correct?????
What i was hoping for was the SOD will be able to send outbound data directly off the queue and into the external applications.

You are right, Oracle CRM OnDemand does not send datas directly in other applications. That's why there are companies that are Integrator of this solution.
Imagine that this functionality was standard. How Oracle is supposed to know to which type of external application you want to send your datas ? There are to many types of integration possibility and each customer has its specific needs for integration...
Can you describe a type of interface you would like to have in standard in OCOD ?

Directing Log4J messages into OC4J log file

Hi,
We currently have a web application that is running on Tomcat. We want to migrate that application over to OC4J. The application currently uses Log4J for messages. What do I have to do to have the application still write to the log4j logs.

The application still issues log messages via log4j, but you as an administrator can configure OC4J so that the log4j messages get captured in the OC4J log system so they can be viewed using the log viewer mechanism of OC4J.

XI Integration Engine- You cannot log on to system BS_SAP_R_3 with user XIR

I have given the correct user name and password while creating RFC destination and Port.
And I see wrong user ID/password in ping status.
Ping Status: You cannot log on to system BS_SAP_R_3 with user XIRWBUSER

Hi,
I have correct user id/ password in RFC destination. I do not know why in Runtime work Bench it is showing the wrong userid/password.
I forgot to give it at the first time and later I gave the user details.
And in Runtime work bench this error is not going away.
Any help on this?
