Alright so i just bought this machine off of craigslist for a mere 25 dollars. just got it to mess around and stuff. i can not find the specs, drivers or even a picture of the computer off the internet. all i know is the company that made these computers went out of buisness a few years back.
what i know about the computer.
its got an intel pentium4 processor 2.40 GHz
its got pc2700 ddr 333 ram.
the mother board is an intel desktopboards.
S/N: ABAD32338107
anyone could show me a website that shows the specs or anything. would be very apreciated.

Website not found in Google

Hey,
I just build a new website and it doesn't show up in the Google results. I was wondering if anybody could help me out.
The website is www.schoorlsebokkentocht.nl , and when I search "Schoorlse Bokkentocht" it doesn't show.
In the Megadata all the keywords are updated. The domain is like 10 days old now, so it should work, shouldn't it?
I'm not really familiar with all of this yet, so if anybody could help me out, that would be great.

Site appearing on google's search result depends on site getting indexed on google. It totally depends on how long it takes google's spiders to crawl your site. Newly published ".mac" website not found by Google

I just published my first website which is :
http://.mac.com/[username],
But a google search for "username" does not turn up my website, making it kinda useless. Where'd I go wrong? the actual"username" is makingnewfromold

This is an edit of my own posted question.
I published my first website, to dot-Mac and it was easily accessed by various computers by typing the URL,etc. However, a google search for "MemberName"did not turn up the website, making it kinda useless to me.
Obviously publishing something made with iWeb to ".Mac" puts it on the internet, but does not make it visible to even the Google search engine. So what else does one need to do to get an iWeb-created site noticed?
[I have since then removed the site from the Web---waiting to try again after I might learn something from discussion sharers. Thanks

Hp6520 error computer not found

i have problems installing HP6520 to my home network. The wifi connection with the router is Ok. My desktop HP pavilion, connected via ethernet to the same router, can see the HP 6520 printer. Installing the printsoftware stops afther input of the ip adres with the message "cannot find the computer network name".
Desabling my firewall was no solution. I followed the different steps of HP doctor print/scan
but still without any result.
is there someone who can help me?

If you have tried all of the steps from the guide I had posted above, I have some more of my own personal steps to suggest, in order, below.
If you saw the error code on the printer itself, please let me know before continuing any steps please!
Uninstall the printer by running this tool: Fix problems that programs cannot be installed or uninstalled
Restart the PC
Perform a Clean Boot
Restart the PC again
Temporarily disable any firewalls or anti-virus scanners
Download and run the install: HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers
Test print and scan through the printer software
If printing or scanning still does not work, continue:
Unregister and re-register the Microsoft Windows Installer service:
1. Click the Start menu and type " cmd " in the search field and press enter.
2. Type in " msiexec /unregister " and then press enter.
3. Type in " msiexec /regserver " and then press enter.
4. Restart your PC and try the installation.
Perform the System File Checker Scan up to 3 times if there is an issue detected during the scan: Using System File Checker to Restore System Files
Run the installation again
Let me know all of the specific results from the steps above.

My Deskjet 3059A e printer all-in-one J611n was working fine til my pc crashed. Now I can't get it to scan. Says computer not found & it is switched on to my pc via usb cable.... Help

I read your post about the scanning problems and I am here to help you out.
I would first suggest you restart the computer completely, and power reset the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Now with both the printer and PC powered on, run the Print and Scan Doctor from your computer and send me a screen shot of the results or write me back with the detailed results.
Try scanning from the HP Software on your computer, and also scan from the printer to your PC. Tell me if either ways worked and what happened!

MobileMe blogs not indexed by Google?

I think somehow the blogs posted on MobileMe are not indexed by Google and therefore cannot be found by Google search. I noticed this because I have a same entry posted on MobileMe and elsewhere. The one on MobileMe was not found by Google, but the other one was.
Is this true, or is it just me?

The iweb blog is 'locked in" like the albums template and the spiders can't get into it just the same as the albums template etc.
Have you upload and verified a sitemap.xml?

"404 Not Found nginx" Certificate Error when performing Google search

Ever since I upgraded to Mavericks on my 2.4 GHz Intel iMac I have started getting occasional errors when trying to access Google sites (search, docs, calendar, YouTube, etc). In Safari, I get the warning that the Certificate is Invalid, and when I view the certificate I see a hierarchy of Certificates: "Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority > Verisign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5 > Verisign Class 3 Secure Server CA - G3 > [and here is the weird part to me] a web domain *other than* google or the site I am visiting, e.g. "www.netflix.com" (I don't have a netflix account), or www.skype.com, or others. Sometimes when I then accept the certificate I am redirected to the site listed in the cert screen, e.g. Netflix, other times I get a screen that says "404 Not Found nginx", other times a screen saying "Invalid URL: The requested URL "/", is invalid. Reference #9.4d290e6b1389574.4981108". I am then not able to access any google sites until some time has passed. This happens in all browsers; it is not specific to Safari.
Other notes:
-My computer's date and time is correct
-I deleted the SystemRoot Certificates for Verisign and the problem went away but not having that certificate created a lot of different problems.
-I reinstalled Mavericks to get the System Root certs back and the problem returned

1. Have you restarted your router and your broadband device (if they're separate) since you first noticed the problem? If not, do that now and see whether there's any change.

I used Terminal to change the permissions on the folder in question. I followed the instructions in this article:
iTunes: Missing folder or incorrect permissions may prevent authorization
In my case, the folder was there, so I needed the command to change permissions on the folder, not to create one. I was hesitant to use Terminal b/c I know that if I made an error I could wipe out my hard drive or render my computer unusable. So to be SURE I didn't make an error, I carefully copied the command from that page and *pasted* it into Terminal. Also, before I could do anything in Terminal, I had to go change my admin password (it had been a blank password before and that's not acceptable for making changes in Terminal). I was just super careful when entering my password or doing anything else while Terminal was open (making sure I didn't accidently hit the spacebar or another key, etc.) And it fixed the problem right away.
What was confusing for me was that the iTunes error message said to change permissions in the FINDER, which is what I was trying to do. It didn't mention Terminal. What would really be helpful is if Apple included a link to a page like this in their error message.

With that one, first try uninstalling and reinstalling your MobileMe Control Panel for Windows, robin. Does that make the error go away?

Installed but not found on computer

I've successfully installed the latest 10.1 for my 64-bit laptop with Windows 7. A check by Adobe confirms that it was properly installed, and that I have the correct version for my computer.
AND YET, there is no icon for it anywhere, it doesn't come up on my list of Programs, when I enter "Adobe Flash Player" in the search bar it shows no such program, and when I try to play a FLV file, it won't give me Flash Player as an option. So..... I have it on my computer, but I apparently am not allowed to see it or access it?
I've uninstalled and re-installed several times, and cannot for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Any help for this maddening situation?

Yes, I read his comments and I made sure Shockwave Flash Object was enabled in IE as he suggested. I am trying to make a flip book. One of the posts here in the forum said to make a SWF file, which I did. But now I can't figure out how to do anything with it. I thought Flash Reader was the right program to look at it, but maybe I'm wrong? Maybe I need Flash itself? The flip book thing has me pretty frustrated and confused. All the sites and software I've tried are poor quality. I was hoping I could figure out how to do it through Adobe to get better quality.

Hi, Flash Player is a browser plugin, not a stand alone Player. You should have Shockwave Flash Object in add ons in IE and make sure it is enabled.
Your Flash files are in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash
You may want the Adobe Media Player:http://www.adobe.com/products/mediaplayer/

My iTunes wouldn't update and so I tried to reinstall the new version, my computer restarted and when I clicked on iTunes, it said file not found.

I tried to update my iTunes so I could put some songs onto my ios 7 device and it wouldn't update. I would get a fail message. I went to the apple website and reinstalled it. With that one, I'd try uninstalling your MobileMe control panel.

I have a PC computer and an i-phone 4S. I set up an i-tunes acct online w/ icloud. After a recent update my PC started receiving an error message on start up. It says "AppleSyncNotifier.exe - Entry Point Not Found". It also says, " The procedure entry point smlTextreaderConstName could not be located in the dynamic link library libxml2.dll". I click on OK and it moves on. It doesn't seem to affect my computer, but it's annoying. Any ideas on correcting this?

UPDATE - (Made a second post so it'd be clearer)
I uninstalled Office 2003, then iTunes, then all of the associated software (Mobile Device Support, Apple Update, Quicktime, EVERYTHING)
Reinstalled Office 2003, then Office 2003's Service Pack 3, then all Microsoft Updates for Office 2003. Then I configured a blank Outlook profile, no data other than the IMAP info for my .Mac/Me account. Then I downloaded (didn't used my existing copy) of iTunes 7.7 and reinstalled. Sync'd phone. Changed MobileMe settings. Told it to sync contacts and calendar with Outlook. It warned me because it was the first sync. Told it to take ALL of the MobileMe data and replace the data on the computer (which was blank.) NOTHING showed up in Outlook. When I tell it to sync Contacts with the Windows Address Book, it works fine.
In Conclusion, it still won't sync with Outlook, when it's set to Sync with Outlook I still get the annoying MAPI errors. So I switched to to Sync the Contacts with the Windows Address Book, and I'm backing up my WAB file now with my nightly backups.
I suppose we'll see if it gets fixed when I format/reinstall on Vista Ultimate in the next month or two. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open and willing to try them.
On a completely unproductive note: Despite my love for Exchange, I hate MAPI.
