Teacher: How to impose and also not to make page numbers move

I teach Graphic design and want to students to be able to impose a 12 page document. Is there a way that InDesign will impose the pages so I can see them in the inDesign PAGE layout window?
Also, With automated numbering. If I decide to have the students impose manually, how do I prevent the page numbers from changing when they move a page?

You need to convert the automatic page numbers to manual numbers to avoid them moving. This means going into each page number frame and changing the auto number to an absolute number.
Then, if you turn OFF "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle" you will be able to move the pages around.
There are scripts that will automate the process. And InDesign has its own Print Booklet command which if you print to PDF will do it electronically.
But if you want them to learn what the process is really all about, I agree that doing it manually is a great lesson.
BTW, I'm sure you know, but others might not, the easy way to figure out which pages go with which others, is to remember the rule that the two numbers for the pages should add up to one more than the last number in the group.
So, for an 8-page signature, page 1 is next to page 8 which adds up to 9.
Page 2 is next to page 7 which adds up to 9.
Page 3 is next to page 6 which adds up to 9.
And page 4 is next to page 5 which adds up to 9.
I've taught that little rule to my classes and they love it.

i have created a reoccuring all day event for monday thru friday throughout the month.
Each day I write notes in the event. I do not want the notes to duplicate each day.
Now do I set up so notes for that day is only in that day.

Hi Parga,
You need to declare the variable at Interface controller and need to map this at the context level.
Like a variable declared at web dynpro component context level can be used among all views.
every web dynpro component have an Interface component. this can be used in other components where this perticular component is used it is also have a Context.

I can't get rid of somoto toolbar search and default homepage. Somoto doesnt appear in the list of searching and also not as installed software in my computer.

As per the query we understood that you are unable to boot the system in your Lenovo U410 laptop.
Remove the hard drive and try to boot the system into BIOS and check if any error occurs? Also insert the hard drive and check what happens after installing the HDD.

iCloud is not downloaded, it is a part of iOS5.
Do you possibly have iCloud and a MobileMe account set up on the device? If so, remove the MobileMe account.

I primarily print photos from Photoshop CS5. The term Page Set-up has gone missing in the file pull down menu. Can't make any choices There are no page sizes, paper types, appearsto be locked on a 13x19 size paper format. Either being too large or too small.
Saw a 2008 locked issue about this however none of the help fit my situation, options discussed are not available to me.
Preview has no "Page Setup" - or does it?
Does the constant struggle with computer compatability weirdness issues ever end or is it a enslavement scheme?

Hey,
if you know the name(s) of the root folder(s) you want to access (eg. by making a note on the Windows side) then you can make them appear by just doing Shift-Command-G in Finder ("Go to Folder…"), and entering the full path to the required folders. You can then navigate all the contents as normal.

Put a section break at the bottom of page 1
Then insert your page number in the footer of page 1.
Go to page 2 and click in the body of the text;
Inspector > Layout > Section > uncheck Use Previous Headers & Footers > click in Header on page > insert > Page Number

I get pages that open up are for related information and also a lot of pages for downloads, including ones to update Firefox.. (Sometimes it even tells me I've downloaded something, and it ask me if I want to save the file or run it. )
