Teacher & Student Editions of Adobe software

I bought Photoshop CS5 Extended, Student & Teacher Edition when I was in high school. Since graduation I have landed a job in web design where I manage the site and add products to it for sale. Is it legal for me to use my Student Edition at work thus using it for commercial use? I read the Terms of Use and could not find anything saying it is illegal. The reason I'm asking this is because a friend of mine thinks it might be illegal. This would help a bunch as I don't want to put the business or me in jeopardy. Thanks!

Yes, you can use it for commercial use. From Adobe's Q&A page for student and teacher editons:

Eligible users who purchase an Adobe Student and Teacher Edition receive a perpetual license that does not have a time restriction.

Photoshop CS6 Teacher Student Edition (Permanent License)

This might sound a bit silly question but I need to hear from you who knows better. Is Photoshop CS6 Teacher Student Edition (Permanent License) NOT the CC Edition is a CD-ROM. I mean a regular CD that contains the program and I can install it on my IMac?

Well, this is a nitpick, but a CD can only hold 600 MB. Photoshop is way larger than and is supplied on a DVD.
Just by looking on Amazon,you may get it as a boxed item (DVD) or as a download. Adobe offers it as a download.

More importantly register your software with Adobe. Your serial number will be stored under your account. How many times have people come into this forum and started with, "I replaced my 5 year old rusty PC, and can't figure out what happened to my serial number...HELP!!"

CS5 purchased 2010 teacher/student edition lost serial number as computer hard drive crashed

I purchased CS5 extended Teacher/Student edition in 2010 when I purchased my Macbook. Recently in 2014 My hard drive crashed and I needed to reinstall my photoshop.
During the installation It asks for the serial number. I no longer have this and it is not referenced on the box or anywhere in the packaging or on any documentation that I currently have.
I really need to reinstall but every time I try to contact adobe through chat It says it is unavailable, does anyone know how I can rectify this?

Why am am I being over charged for the Teacher Student Edition of Creative Cloud?
The Teacher and Student edition is listed as $20 a month and I'm being charged $30 a month.

Will Creative Suite 5 teacher student edition work with Mavericks on a Mac

I have Creative Suite 5 on a desktop and Mac Book Pro running on Snow Leopard I would like to update operating system to Mavericks but need to know whether this will affect the running of CS5 the teacher student edition that I have installed on both machines?

I have the Cs5 student Edition of Adobe Web and design, do I have to upgrade to a full?

You can continue to use your Student Edition after your graduation for any legal purpose. As a student you can purchase a new version of CS 6 Student programs. There is no upgrade from one student edition to another. You can of course, upgrade a student version to a non-student version, but the cost for doing so is ussually much more expensive than a new student version, so take advantage of your student status while you can.

Photoshop CS5 Teacher & Student Edition Problems

Okay so here is my issue:
I own a version of PS CS5 Student & Teacher edition. I installed it on my old laptop and everything was fine. I got a new laptop this past fall and my dad took my first one and wiped all my programs off before I could get to them. I cannot find where I put my serial number for my product nor can I remember the email I registered with and I no longer have access to that email.
I really do not want to just be stuck with software I cannot even use because that is ridiculous and a waste of money.

Does adobe creative suite 5.5 design standard student package allow for more than one download?

Yes. With one serial number you can install the software on two computers. If you want to use it on third machine you will have to de-activate it from any of the two computers first.

It does not appear in the list of apps when attempting to sign up.
The start screen says same as Individual plan where it is included

Thank you for responding. I have Windows 64 bit on a PC and I am trying to reinstall the CS6 version that I bought a month ago. (before my computer went haywire and I had to start over) I am trying to install the trial version now, but after the download assistant is installed and opened it won't automatically start downloading the programs like it says it should and the Design Suite doesn't pop up as a version that I can click on. What can you suggest for me to try now?

Serial number from other language (student edition) on English trial

I am studying in Japan now, therefore I am qualified for purchasing the Student and Teacher's Edition for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.
The problem is that they only sell the Japanese-language version of the software. I cannot undertand japanese so I need to have the english-language version installed in my PC.
My question is:
If I download, from the North America Adobe page, a trial version for Adobe Photoshop Elements 8; and then I purchase here in Japan the japanese version of Elements: can I use the serial number corresponding to the japanese version for activating the english-language trial version?
The Photoshop FAQ is not clear to me, since I actually want to continue using the same language as my trial, but using a serial number corresponding to other language version:
I would like to install my product in a different language than the language I installed the product in during my trial period. Can I uninstall and reinstall my application in a different language?
Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Premiere Elements offer the option to install the application in any one of many languages available.
If you would prefer to install a purchased product in a language other than the language you installed during your trial period, you can simply go back to the original installer (whether DVD or Electronic Software Delivery), install the correct language, and then enter your serial number.
If for some reason, it is not possible to use the japanese serial number on an english-language trial version; let me propose another situation:
Considering that I have uninstalled the trial version from my PC, if I am able to borrow an Elements 8's English-language installation CD from a friend, and then, when the serial number is requested, can I use the serial number I received when purchasing the japanese-language edition?
I have searched the Internet and I could not find anything regarding this unusual topic.

I checked through amazon.co.jp that I can purchase the software from there, but it's written that it's a Japanese edition.
I wonder if somehow I buy it, will it be crashed with my non-Japanese PC?
Or as Eduardo said, even though the package (software cover and everything) is written in Japanese, but when I install it in my computer it will offer the English option?
I just got informed about this student edition from a friend. I'm really excited about this but a bit worry if I won't understand all the menu and settings.
