Team Calendar iView customizing

Hi All,
I have been assgined a task to customize the iView, and I don't have any NW  tool installed.
Now the standard version has daily statuses "At work", "Absent","Temporarily Absent".
I want to add various absences with different colors. We have defined our own view group, and in column definition,
there are two function modules attached
"FM for Column Content"  ZHRWPC_AS_STATUSICON_CF and
"FM for PCD Parameter"   ZHRWPC_AS_ICON_PCDPARA_CF
But they seem not working.
anyone could give me some clues? any comments or document links to refer to are very welcomed and appreciated.

HI Witte ,
There is not any program for color definition in backend . IT is Internet graphics system in portal . POrtal supports this colors.
Check first weather IGS is installed in ur system.
Surekha.

  • Team Calendar iView in Portal

    Hi
Recently while using Team Calendar iView on any Portal Framework, we have a bug which is related to the iView Height. The calendar shows up with 30px or so while its content is actually much bigger. Is this a common issue? how can this be solved? should the iView Properties be changed from standard values
      Note: Portal Version: 7.3
    Thanks in Advance

    Dear JohnSmith,
You can adjust the iview properties as other to show properly in the portal content area.
check and verify with other iview / pages.

    Hi,
Did someone find a solution for this. We are facing the same problem in our production environment for some users (for others the team calendar is rendered correctly).
On the Development and Quality system we did not have this problem.

  • Team Calendar Iview showing all employees absent for every day?

    Hi All,
We're using r/3 4.7, ESS 50.4 and MSS 60.1.20.  The team calendar displays with all employees absent for every day.  Clearly, this is not correct.
Is there extra config to be done or something that we are missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Liz.

  • Team Calendar non-working days

    Hi Gurus,
Is there a way we can configure the team calendar to show non-working days for the employee (public holidays, days off in part-time/shift work-schedules) in green for example?
I haven't seen any configuration options for this, but I would expect it to show them somehow!?  Will we need to do custom development for this?
    Many thanks,
    Russell.

    Hi Russell,
You can check this<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/2f/d7844205625551e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">SAP Help</a> for additional info on the Team Calendar iView..

    Russell,
I didn't think the "10 points offer" was open to all.. ideally, it should be to Duxton only.. You could probably open a customer message in OSS & seek SAP's clarification on Team Calendar

  • Documentation on Team Calendar

    Hello all,
I'm using EP 5 SP 5 with KM 5.0. I'm trying to get the Team Calendar iView (based on master com.sapportals.pct.troom.teamcalendar.default) working with a collaboration room. Does anyone know where I can find documentation on this iview? I've looked in the KM administration guide, but it's not listed in it's list of iviews.
I'm trying to figure out if you can change the calendar so that the first day of the week is Sunday, not Monday. Also, I'd like to see some doc on what the rest of the java iview settings are. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    I beg to differ here.
Team calender uses OADP views. All standard OADP views show only active employees.
However, you can use custom OADP configuration. You can specify a custom function module to return objects (employees) in this OADP configuration. Since you are using your own function module, you can display any employee reporting to the manager.

  • Error in Team Calendar

    Hi,
After installation of EhP4 and BP for MSS 1.41 the application Team Calendar does not work anymore and there is an error.
Team Calendar has not come with the latest packages, but there must be some components that cause the error.
When I preview the standard Team Calendar iView ( com.sap.pct.erp.mss.teamcalendar ), I get the error message:
    Error Summary
While processing the current request, an exception occured which could not be handled by the application or the framework.
If the information contained on this page doesn't help you to find and correct the cause of the problem, please contact your system administrator. To facilitate analysis of the problem, keep a copy of this error page. Hint: Most browsers allow to select all content, copy it and then paste it into an empty document (e.g. email or simple text file).
    Root Cause
The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:
com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Failed in WD JNDI lookup. javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: No child found in WebDynproContext with name base

In all older instllations of Team Calendar it worked properly just after we configured a manager and a team. Now it seems that there are some components missing. Or?

  • Team Calendar warning - No Team setup for the user in the selection period.

    Good morning,
I am attempting to replace the older iViews (leaverequestapprover and teamcalendar) with the newer iView (approveleaverequest) which seems to combine the two functions.
When implementing the approveleaverequest iView, I get the following mesaage "No Team setup for the user in the selection period. Contact Administrator."
However, looking at the older Team Calendar iView, teamcalendar, I can see the team.  Both iViews are assigned to the Team page for comparison.
Not sure what's wrong but I'm confident I have all the configuration correct else the test team members wouldn't be appearing in the older iView.  I've read some other unanswered posts that asked the same question and rechecked all the objects people had suggested.
What's even more puzzling, if I have one of my managers submit a leave request to their manager, the approveleaverequest iView will show the entire team with the leave request for the manager waiting for approval.
I'm stumped and could use some guidance on how to get the team calendar to work.
    Kind Regards,
    Garrett Meredith

Re: Manager unable to approve employee leave
chk above thread once and chk any authorisations are missing or else assign and test once for some users
and you need to activate wdabap business function ess_wda_2 in swf5 if ur using abap functionality HCM, ESS on Web Dynpro ABAP 2 - Human Capital Management - SAP Library

    Hi Stephen,
The team calendar uses the BP for Communication internallly. There are certain configurations that need to be done to be able to connect to your groupware server and get Calendar info.
The following need to be configured.
    -Communication Framework
    -Your Calendar Datasource i.e. SAPPortals_MSExchangeConnector AND/OR SAPPortals_LotusConnector AND/OR SAPPortals_CMConnector
    -Usermapping for the ExchangeServer/Lotus Server
The docs for the same can be found at
    https://www2.iviewstudio.com/support_content/_3345/COM_V504_EN.pdf
Award points if this works out

  • Custom FM for getting subordinates in ESS Team Calendar

    Dear All,
In the team calendar in ESS ,I want to use my custom Function module which gets the subordinates for the manger.
Please tell how to proceed in this direction.
    Regards,
    Geet Bijlani

    Hi,
I think you are not reading the reply properly.
    READ it Care fully.
By following process it can be done
Once you done with the Customized RFC development.
    Then do the following process.
You have to import the rfc into application using thru NWD studio.
    Create a model for it
and then execute the Customized function model thru code..
The functionality is inside web dynpro explorer
We give the server details, then search for RFC, and then select it.
its not a customization but a web dynpro application modification.
Without this functionality its Not possible.
    Cheers ,
    Vivek

  • Doubt with Iview Team Calendar

    Dear
    I have the following issue.
The system in the iview Team Calendar is showing an employee that are not to the Organizational Unit of the Boss.
The employee "Jorge" had a organizational change from 23.08.2011.
In the iview Team General Information: com.sap.pct.erp.mss.generalinfo_employeesearch
The information is showed right. The employee is not listed. that's true.
However for the iview Team Calendar: com.sap.pct.erp.mss.teamcalendar
the system is still showing the employee. This is bad.
This is the behavior standard for Team Calendar, however I want Know the following:
Is posible that this iview not show to the employee "Jorge", if this employee had an Organization Unit?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

Yes it is team calendar will be correct only next month as it takes month iview as supposed to other which is updated daily ie
    general information
so thisis correct behavior for team calendar
The employee will continue to be shown for a month ie till the
month he is been changed, after that he wont be shown, let me explain
Usually in SAP reporting, If a person is active for a single day in
the Organisation ie in August and we run the report for August, He ll be
definately shown. This is the way our application works, This is
consistent with all reports. So he ll be shown if the org unit if he is
active for a single in the org unit and we run for the month. But next
month he wont be shown as he is not active.
    This is the intended functionality,
Hope this clarifies, Please close the message if you have no
    further queries for us
so he should appear correctly in next month, Please verify

  • Custom search criteria in MSS Team Calendar

My requirement is to add a custom entry (All Salaried/Exempt employees) in the Employee Selection (Display Data For) drop down in MSS Team Calendar.
I have created a custom org structure view by copying the one for "All Employees" - MSS_LTV_EE_ALL
Then, I have created a custom entry in V_TWPC_ORGVWGRP to include my new org structure view and I have configured the same in V_PTREQ_TEAM.
I am able to see the new option in the team calendar - as desired.
Now, I need to adjust my object selection in V_TWPC_OBJSEL (copied from MSS_LTV_EE_ALL) to search for only Salaried employees (based on Employee Subgroup - PERSK).
Are there any standard Rules for object selection that I can refer to and possibly tweak as per my needs ?
    (or)
Do I need to use a custom class for the object search ?
I am not sure as to how to use the option Parameter Group here.
    Kindly suggest.
    Thank You,
    Jaya

    OADP you have to modify.
You have to add it to view ie in V_TWPC_ORGVWG_P

In SAP standard config there is no option so as to display more than one month on in Team calender iView.
In you case you will have to do development.
