Tech Service in Non-Responsive

I have an outstanding ticket number {edited for privacy} from Jan 20, 2012. A Maryland Technical Supervisor is supposed to call me. I have been calling each day to get status. Today, a supervisor by the name of Dimetri {edited for privacy} told me that all I could do to get some response from a MD Technical Supervisor was go to the web page and complain. So I'm doing it.
I need to know 2 things:
        ()  Why my download service was 0.5 instead of 25.0 for 4 days until it was magically restored.
        ()  Why a serice technician who was scheduled to be at my house between 1pm and 5 pm on Jan 18:
                  ()  Did not show up.
                  ()  Called me at 6:45 pm on Jan 18 to ask could he come the next day.
                  ()  Did not show up the next day
                  ()  Had cancelled my ticket number.

This is exhausting, reading about the same sort of complaint again and again which is hardly any different from the complaints that I've had.  It's not you but just the fact that this keeps going on and on forever.  They just don't care.  That's how I feel and it's disgusting how these other techs get away with no call/no show in the first place.  I'm getting tired of the games.  At least you got a time frame.  Sometimes they will only give you an all day appointment and act like they're doing you such a big favor.  Welcome to the age of customer non-service where it's all about money and nothing else.
Does any of this feedback we post make any difference?  Is anyone from management at Verizon seriously reading any of this and working to make changes so that these customer service issues will get resolved?  I just feel like no matter how long this drags on for, nothing gets resolved and even with these ideas that we post for voting on "share your ideas with Verizon", they're all listed with so many others as "acknowledged" but how many of them seriously get implemented?
If anyone is reading this, I would never know it.  If nobody is bothering to improve this kind of shoddy customer service, then we're wasting our time.  I feel like we're being ignored.
I would challenge a Verizon employee from management to respond to our problems here and interact with us.  I might eventually get to a point of switching providers because the whole thing is horrible.  Even though my own issues have been resolved, it's such a waste of time every time I have to call tor report a problem and get an answer and they just don't seem to care that our time is just as valuable.

  • Non Responsive and Jitters

    Since the introduction of iplayer our box (silver) has become very non responsive. At first I thought it was the batteries in the remote but replacing them made no differnce and pressing the buttons on the front of the box isn't much better.
    You press the button and wait, pressing it again because your not sure you did it properly and then the btvision menu pops up and then disappears again because of the second press of the button.
    Also this is an longer term problem but is now happening more frequently is that the sound starts to jittery/breakup either pressing the rewind button or swapping channel and switching back fixes this problem.

    Hi,
    Is anyone having a problem with non responsive home button on the iphone 4.
    I have a unit hat i sabout 6 months old and it has just started having this problem where i need to press the home button about 5-6 times before it works.

    Do the basic troubleshooting steps described in the iPhone User Guide (Appendix B):
    Restart
    Reset
    Restore from backup
    Restore as new
    If the last step doesn't help, there is a hardware problem with the home button.  Take it to Apple or whoever provides iPhone warranty service in your location.

    A friend gave me his old OS tablet. I reset settings to set it up with our information, but now all I get is the software Manager saying "You have no services installed". The touch screen is non responsive and I can't power it off. None of the buttons will do anything.

    Press and hold both the power button and the center button for around 20 seconds until you see the HP logo.
    This will reboot the unit.

  • IPhone Gen 1 - Bottom Multi-Touch non-responsive

    My phone is out of warranty as of July 2nd, 2008. Google this issue about the bottom half of the iHone not working and this is a KNOWN MANUFACTURE defect but Apple wants $199 to replace with like model of Gen 1 iPhone.
    If I want to spend the same money I can get the 3G but I have to extend my contract for a KNOWN MANUFACTURE defect.
    Does anyone work at apple that could please help me replace my first gen iphone with another first gen. iphone.

    I just had the same problem with a non-responsive bootom portion of the screen on my 1st generation. Apple knows that it is a screen defect yet to all of us first buyers and believers in Aplle service, they just want to sell us a new iphone. I had gone into the store after being told tha it was a know defect to Apple the day before to purchase a new 3G iphone for my girlfriend and replace my 1st generation phone...but am told that to since my phone was purchased in July of 2007, known defect or not, it will not be replaced and to repair it is the same price as the new 3G!!! so much for believing in Apple service, especailly when I see that others below have had their phone replaced "no questions asked"!!! If anyone hears of replacement or Apple standing up to the service standards, please let me know.

  • Elements 7.0 Editor "Non-Responsive"

    I was printing an item in Editor and the program locked up. I checked the Task Manager and found Editor in a "Non-Responsive" state. I ended the program with "End Now" and I got an error window to send to Mircosoft. The following "Error signature" was shown

Also the computer that has this problem is not or ever been connected to the internet. Editor program still works fine, but just won't print.

  • IPod Nano is Non-responsive

    I have had my iPod nano for a few weeks. A coule of days ago, it was playing a song then it started to get funny. The song slowed down and then froze. The controls became non-responsive but the screen stayed on and lit. I connected it to my computer and nothing happened. I left it over night (unplugged) and the screen was blank my morning. Plugging it in to my compter does nothing. Nothing happens. Does anybody know what can be wrong? I want to check before I call customer service.

    I had the same exact problem. I tried all the same things and nothing worked. When I took it to my local Apple Store the determined that it was broken and non-responsive. They replaced it with a new one and the replacement is wroking GREAT!!! So, if you have purchased the iPod Nano within the last year then they should still replace it under the factory warranty.

    Though it looks like they have added the new style BT website header to correspond with the rest of the site.
    Haha though it would seem that the community forum has been linked to the "Trial" version of the new site - which seems to have some broken links within the header itself.

  • Full gc's/Application non-responsiveness

    I have a web application that proceeds through a series of minor collections followed by the occasional major/full collection. After a period of time, the application becomes non-responsive and the vm goes into the process of doing full collection after full collection. Can someone explain or point me towards articles explaining theoretical possibilities of what is occuring. To avoid this situation should I concentrate on increasing max memory to the vm, should I focus on increasing the new size, other...? The amount of memory after each collection is relatively constant. Thanks in advance...

    Sounds like the heap is getting full and the JVM is working aggressively to make more room. Perhaps the problem is it hits its maximum heap size and it cannot make anymore room. I'm no expert on this topic, though I'm interested in it.

  • Address Book becoming non-responsive

    I have taken the I-mac (Lion 10.75) to the genius bar 3 times because the Address book program becomes non responsive after I spend some trying to clean up duplicate addresses (merging them) and updating information.    The first time they said to remove one of the Address book preferences, then the last time, after re-installing trhe operating system, they said to remove ALL the preferrences if it happened again.   It did, and I did, but it did not work.   Specifically, the adress book will not search by name and continues to download duplicate adresses from some mysterious place that is not I-Cloud because the addresse are (mostly) in order on the Cloud. 
    Does anybody have a fix?  Or a recommendation for another address book program that I can synch between I-Mac, I phone and tablets? 

    Note: These instructions are for OS X 10.8 or later. In OS X 10.7, the procedure is the same, but the application is named "Address Book" instead of "Contacts."
    Step 1
    Back up all data.
    Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.AddressBookSourceSync
    Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select 
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no change, go to the next step.

    C. Quit Contacts. Triple-click the text on the line below on this page to select it, then copy it to the Clipboard (command-C):

    In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder
    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V), and press return.
    A Finder window will open with a folder selected. Move the selected folder to the Desktop, leaving the window open for now.
    D. Launch Contacts. Your contacts will be gone. If you took Step 2, then double-click the file you created in that step and confirm that you want to import from it. Your contacts will reappear.
    E. Re-enable Contacts in the iCloud preference pane, if you disabled it. Test. If the issue is resolved, delete the AddressBook folder and the vCard file on the Desktop and close the open folder window.
    Otherwise, quit Contacts again and put the AddressBook folder back where it was, overwriting the newer one that will have been created in its place. Post your results.

  • Sat A500 - keypad/mousepad freeze - cursor and typing spaces non-responsive

    Issue with my new notebook, several times the cursor has become non-responsive to the mousepad, and whatever is on the screen fails to recognise me typing on the keyboard. This seems to happen whilst I am using the mousepad.
    I've hit the mousepad on/off thinking this may have been bumped, but it doesn't affect the failure to respond.
    Could I be performing some function I'm not aware of? Any other ideas?

    It is not easy to understand what is wrong there and such issues can be checked testing all this.
    With original preinstalled OS touchpad should work except it is disabled with small button or with FN+F9 key combination.
    This with typing is also a little bit mysterious for me. If you use several windows (several different applications) be sure you try to type when the window is active.
    Please don't understand me wrong but best thing you can do is to ask somewhere for help. Best address is Toshiba service. They can put the notebook on the desk and check what happen exactly.
    Here on this virtual world I can just say: if you want to test it on proper way reinstall OS using HDD recovery image (factory state) and test functionality again. By default everything should works well. If not there must be some hardware failure.

  • Non-responsive keys on keyboard.

    Hi guys,
    I hope someone can help me out figuring out my problem. I have MacBook Pro 13-inch, Late 2011, Processor  2,8 GHz Intel Core i7 Serial Number  C02HG0WKDV14 Software  OS X 10.9.5 (13F34).
    One day I turned my mac on and it had "M" key stuck, it just kept typing this key. I tried resetting SMC, PRAM and all advices on-line with no success so decided to open it and clean it all up.
    During the clean up I accidentally pealed off the black foil on the backlit which I thought caused the following issue of various random keys being non-responsive. So I bought new backlit which in the end did not fix it at all.
    Bellow are highlighted the non-responsive keys
    One thing I noticed that all keys started to work when was on the plane, probably the pressurized cabin made it work.
    Do you by any chance have any ideas what is the problem? How can it be fixed? I just can't live airborne

    The best thing to do would be take it to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check it out and see what is wrong with the key switches.
    By the way, the "pressurized cabin" of a commercial airliner is actually at reduced atmospheric pressure, only about 80% of the pressure at sea level.  That should not have a physical affect, but have the techs check out the keyboard.
