Contact the cellular provider in Canada to determine if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.

i have lock iphone 4 how to unlock it

i need to change the carrir from Fido to T-Mobil

Only the carrier an iPhone was sold as carrier locked with can officially unlock the iPhone, or send the unlock request to Apple on the owner's behalf.
You need to contact Fido in Canada.

hi my iphone is locked to icloud any one knows how to unlock it

You will need to type in the account's id and password. If you bought the phone used and the previous owner left it linked to their account then you will have to contact the previous owner and ask them to remove the phone from their account - he/she is the only person that can do it

  • Lock image pixels, how to unlock ?

It open a JPEG in Camera Raw from Bridge, make some adjustments and then I open the photo as a Smart Object in Photoshop. Then I create an adjustment layer and also change the layer style on the smart object ( Inner glow and a Stroke). I save the layer style as default because I have many photos that I want to have the same "border".
I save my Smart Object and start with the next photo from Bridge, into Camera Raw and then into Photoshop as a Smart Object. I add a layer and then I change the layer style for the Smart Object and now my adjustments are default so very easy.
BUT, I cannot see my new border on the second Smart Object! After long time I find out that the first two icons beside Lock in the Layers panel are "locked", I can not change them. The other two are open for change.
So my question is 1) what happened, what is the difference, why are my pixels locked in the second photo? and 2) How can I unlock the pixels?
Yes, I have tried 10-15 times with other photos and I get the same result, my way to get a soft border around my photos are not working.
I have never been an expert in Photoshop and now I am very rusty, I have not touch the program for 8 months.
I have Photoshop CS5 Extended Ver 12.0.64 (updated the software today).
So if someone can tell me what is wrong I will be very happy !

  • BIOS locked on T61p - how to unlock it?

The BIOS is locked on my ThinkPad T61p Motherboard FRU 44C3931 – how do I unlock it please?

By locked do you mean locked by a Supervisor Password?
    Information on the different passwords and how to remove them can be found in the Hardware Maintenence Manuals;
    T61p 14" Models     T61p 15.4" Models
The Supervisor Password cannot be removed without knowing it or changing the motherboard, if the system or the mainboard happen to be second hand you might like to ask the previous owner if they are able to assist.

  • X220 WWAN Locked to Vodafone - How to unlock?

I've got an X220 laptop with an Ericsson F5521 gw WWAN module in it.  I've only ever used it in the UK with a Vodafone UK SIM and hadn't realised until I tried to use it with foreign data SIM that its locked.  How do I go about getting the unlock code for it?  Do I need to speak to Lenovo or Vodafone?  Or is there a 3rd party service I can use?  Has anyone else got experience with this?
    Cheers

The Lenovo supplied F5521gw card is not locked to any provider.
Please tell us more about your experience with the foreign data SIM that caused you think the card was locked to a specific provider?!?

If you are having an immediate problem with ads popping up see The Safe Mac » Adware Removal Guide, remove adware that displays pop-up ads and graphics on your Mac, and AdwareMedic. If you require anti-virus protection Thomas Reed recommends using ClamXAV. (Thank you to Thomas Reed for this recommendation.) You might consider adding this Safari extensions: Adblock Plus 1.8.9.
Open Safari, select Preferences from the Safari menu. Click on Extensions icon in the toolbar. Disable all Extensions. If this stops your problem, then re-enable them one by one until the problem returns. Now remove that extension as it is causing the problem.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
    Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
    Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet, and the page you entered will appear rather than the malicious one.

From user Joe Bailey comes this equally useful advice:
    The facts are:
    1. There is no anti-malware software that can detect 100% of the malware out there.
    2. There is no anti-malware that can detect everything targeting the Mac.
    3. The very best way to prevent the most attacks is for you as the user to be aware that
the most successful malware attacks rely on very sophisticated social engineering
techniques preying on human avarice, ****, and fear.
    4. Internet popups saying the FBI, NSA, Microsoft, your ISP has detected malware on
your computer is intended to entice you to install their malware thinking it is a
        protection against malware.
    5. Some of the anti-malware products on the market are worse than the malware
from which they purport to protect you.
    6. Be cautious where you go on the internet.
    7. Only download anything from sites you know are safe.
    8. Avoid links you receive in email, always be suspicious even if you get something
you think is from a friend, but you were not expecting.
    9. If there is any question in your mind, then assume it is malware.

  • BEWARE: I was scammed and a Verizon tech support person was involved

Yesterday I tried to trace a package that Verizon shipped to me but when I went on the UPS web site and put in the tracking # I had I was told by UPS that they had no record of the #. I then called Verizon tech support. The person I was eventually connected to looked into the problem and told me that my computer had been compromised and had been hacked. He then directly connected me to a comapny (Mandatech) that he said was a Microsoft associate companyh and that they would take care of the problem for me. Mandatech took over my computer and, according to them, cleaned out all of the garbage and took care of the hacking problem. This service cost me $350 plus I bought a 1 year service contract to make sure I was never hacked again, this cost $300. At the end of the session Mandatech contacted Verizon and I was given the delivery information for my package. Today when I tried calling the support phone number for Mandatech I got a recording that said that the line was not in service. At this point I realized that I had been scammed. I contacted Verizon's frlaud department and was told that they would look into it but had no way of determining who the Verizon tech person was that connected me to Mandatechl and that Verizon had no responsibility to what happened to me. I also reported this incident to Microsoft and they are checking it out.
I find it incomprehensible that although it is obvious that the Verizon tech person was directly a part of the scam Verizon couldn't find out who the person was and took no responsibility for this action.

Welcome to the forums.  You're talking to Verizon's customers here.  If you want to talk to Verizon, click here: Contact Us.
Unfortunately, it looks like you fell into one of the many methods scammers use to steal money. Scammers have figured out how they can get bogus phone numbers to turn up in search results.  When you use those numbers, you end up calling the scamers instead of the company you really want.  I'm guessing that you used a search engine to look up Verizon's support phone number.  If you didn't call 1-800-VERIZON this is most likely what happened.
Verizon will never, ever ask you to pay money to fix a computer virus problem.  They simply do not do that.
If you google "telephone tech support scams" you can learn a lot about how the scammes operate.
If I were you, I would immediately cancel the credit card used to pay the scammers and report it to your bank.
You should also find a local computer expert to help you remove any software the scammers installed on your computer.  A complete system wipe may be the best course of action.
    Good Luck.

  • Broke my 5c.  Tech supt has 5c/5s left by unk emp  locked 2 his itunes account. They don't know how 2 unlock them from his itunes acct.  I can have the phone if I found out how.  Anyone know? Must be legal method!

Hard to write is limited space.  But tech support has two phones...and iPhone 5c and 5S, left by a former employee.  Both are still tied to his itunes at email r********@yahoo.com.  They don't the who the employee is.  When they try to restore them to defaults, itunes tells them that the phone is linked to an itunes account.  How can we get the phones wipes so that the company can reassign them.  Assigning at least one of them to me?!!!  (Coulld fit into 5c or 5s since there is one of each)

There are two levels of locking:
    1.  A 4-digit passcode that is entered to access the iPhone.  This can be removed by connecting to a computer running iTunes by way of the recovery mode as described in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 this simply erases the content and settings so it is accessible.
    2.  Find My Phone has been turned on in Settings > iCloud using the owners Apple ID and password.  This sets the Activation Lock and cannot be bypassed.  the owner's Apple ID and password must be entered to release the lock, or, the owner must login to his/her iCloud account, go to Find My Phone, and remove the iPhone from the devices list.  After that is done the iPhone can be erased and restored.
Your situation sounds like number 2...the previous employee has installed an Apple ID and password and set the Activation Lock.  Your IT folks will not be able to bypass that.  At his point, the best hope is to take the iPhone to an Apple store genius bar with company proof of ownership, and see if they can help you.
