              I hope this is the best place where I can putforth all my queries regarding the TECHED.
           I am very much interested to appear for the ABAP-Certification in the SAP-TECHED bangalore in 2009.
          I just want to prepare for the exam technically and theoritically.
         Can anyone provide me the syllabus details of this certification, latest details.
        Is there any chance to have a good material down load options?
       Where can we find certification books?
          For 2009 certfication how can I register?
        Do we need any pre-requisites for that?
      How much fees do they colect, if I want to approach from my company , how do I need to proceed?
Generally when do the SAP team will release the notification for the TECHED2009?

Professional exam: INR 20000/- per person
Taxes are additional at 10.3%
The fee is in addition to the SAP TechEd 2009 Bangalore registration fees.

Normally no certifications like MM, SD, PP, PM, FICO are held at Teched.
These are all technical certifications like BASIS, ABAP, Solution Manager, BI and Portal etc.

My Greetings Fellow SCN mates,
Feeling great to on SCN after quite a long gap, was really missing this platform:)
To start with, could you please help me with some info on TechEd 2010 going to be held at Bangalore:
1. Is SDN Day/Community day called off/replaced this year with Inside Track or will have something else as well?
While searching for Community Day found a wiki of Somnath and read about [SAP Inside Track 2010 Bangalore|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/events/SAPInsideTrack2010Bangalore]. Seems we have no more Community Day and is relplaced by Inside Track.
2. Are we going to have hackers night or we have any other program scheduled for TechEd apart from the agenda shared @ [Agenda at a Glance|http://www.sapteched.com/india/activities/home.htm]
3. I could also see Innovation Weekend at other TechEd, do we have something similar @ Bangalore?

SAP Teched 2011 Bangalore

I couldn't make it to SAP Teched Bangalore for the last 2 years because of some project issues.

I also have attended few sessions of HANA and they are really good.
Especially developing business applications using HANA studio.
ABAP in Eclipse is one more session which really attracted me.
Looking forward to be part of these new technologies.
Only thing i felt sad is that i couldn't meet anyone from SCN(SDN) because of this busy schedule.

TechEd 08 Bangalore cancellation refund

Hello,
I had registered for TechEd '08 at Bangalore. However, I cancelled my registration before the last date for cancellation.
I have not received a refund and also do not get replies to email: I have sent a number of emails to 'saptechedinfo.indiatsap.com' and 'saptechedatkestone.in' but have received no replies.
Does anybody have information of more appropriate contact in this regard?

For your kind information, we have paid 43 people amount in 2006 Teched.
Once we paid the amount of more than INR 500000/-, they start sending mails stating, good morning participant, you should have xx year experience, you shout get this certificate, that certificate, even dates, from past employer, confirmation from present employer, no-objection certification. This they would have done before receiving the payment. Most of people became not eligible for certification and dropped from the Teched. Because, they were not allowed for certification. Then they said we cannot give you money back. Either you attend or forget the money. For the fact that I have coordinated all our group from our company, I was under pressure to convince both the sides. Again, we have asked number of times, then they agreed for refund of 8000/- and deduction of 2500/-. Even myself cancelled. It was a hell kind of experience. I would personally say kind of cheating experience. The whole pathetic and unprofessional way they treated us.
Later I never attended any Techeds.
I would suggest if you are really interested to attend then attend. If you cancel the Teched event, then ask GOD whether I will get my money or not.
I am wonder, when Teched 2008 has happend in India. (I believe in November, 2008). This is May, 2009. Seven months. A company like SAP cannot even refund the money back in 9 months... Now, you should be in a position to understand the whole process.

1. around 2 year of total SAP experience
AND
2. around 1 year of XI experience.
OR
1. Classroom training attended from SAP Education
Send mail to SAP Education Bangalore (if you are in India) with following docs:
1. Your CV
2. Endorsement letter from your PM
3. No Objection letter from your company (why this required!!)
4. Draft of INR 25000 + taxes (ask SAP for exact amount)
SAP will evaluate your CV and if you are eligible then you can sit for ceritification else they will refund your money.
Cost:
Certification: INR 25 K + taxes
Classroom training: INR 250 K (2.5 lac)

TechEd '05 Bangalore Certification Results?

Hi,
I had attended a Certification test(Dev for EP6.0) during the Bangalore TechEd '05. I took the test on the 8th of this month. I got my online result, but was told that it is not the final result and that after a recheck I would be intimated about the final result.
Any idea how long will it take for the final scores to reach me? and how will I be getting them? email/snailmail?

SAP HANA Certification in Bangalore Tech Ed 2014

Why was the certification exams so restricted at TechEd Bangalore?

Hi,
I have a question around the eligibility to sit the certification exams in Bangalore. The criteria was:
A fully paid SAP TechEd '06 Bangalore conference registrant as on October 20, 2006; AND
A registered SAP consultant (SAP employee, partner, or independent) in India; OR
An SAP Customer Core Competency Center team member in India; OR
An employee of an SAP partner or customer in India.
As an Australian, visiting from IBM Australia - I met only the first of the eligibility criteria - I was a fully paid registrant. Does this mean the level of certification is different country by country? Did the Las Vegas and Amsterdam Tech Ed's have the same level of restriction?
Any thoughts/insight is greatly appreciated.

As we are discussing SAP certifications, I just thought I'd share a few more rules ( Bizarre rules I must say) of the tech ED B'lore Certifications.
" Every aspirant of the tech ED certification should have had one Year of employment with his current employer and should have atleast 2 years of SAP implementation experience"
In my case, as I joined the SAP world directly after university, I could not meet the rule of "2 years of SAP implementation experience" and was not allowed to take up my XI certification
I guess experience does matter , but what is most surprising is if you take the SAP training on XI, you are allowed to take the certification along with it and in such cases experience doesnt matter!
When Netweaver is a fusion of both the Java and ABAP worlds ( with Webdynpro , EP and even in XI ) the fact that people are still required to have 2 years of SAP experience is not fair.
What this rule implies for all the people who move in from the J2EE world into SAP Netweaver is that you got to work in the technology for 2 years before you qualify for the certification or you attended the training SAP provides and you can take it immediately.
Maybe someone can explain this double standards or the reasoning behind the same?
