Technical Content and BI statistics

Hi
I am installing Technical content. Here i am not sure which one to install. Under technical content infoarea we have
1.Integrated planning
2. BI trace tool
3. Bex personalization
4. Exchange rates types
But under under business information warehouse, we have BI statistics and under these we have TCT_C01, C02, C03, TCT_V01, V02 and so on.
Here i am not sure which one i need to install, would anyone plz guide me thur this.
Regards
Annie

Any replies??
And also after installing the 0TCT_V01, V02, V03, 0TCT_C01,02,03. from the business content.
In the infopackages in update tab, by default the "initialize delta process" "without data transfer is selected".
So should we run initialize delta process withoudt data transfer first and then run delta?

  • Technical Content BI Stat`s missing Transfer Rules for 0TCT_CA1

    Hi,
I installed the new 7.0 technical content and had several glitches. Some are fixed with the new SP16, that we installed.
We are at BI Cont 7.03, patch 8.
There is no business content for the Frontend & OLAP Statistics (highly aggregated) 0TCT_CA1 transfer rules - although the cube and communication structure are there - as well as the virtual and multi cube with a lot of queries etc.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
    Thanks!
    Kathleen

    Hi Kathleen Cooke ,
I am having similar issue now, can you please let me know if you know the solution for the below problem..
I am trying to activate the Business Content for BW Statistics, but the datasource and the  Transfer Rules are missing for the 0TCTPRCSVAR_TEXT and also a couple of BW Statistics objects...
    I am on
    BI_CONT 703, level 0005, Support Package SAPKIBIIP5
    SAP_BW 700, level 0012, Support Package SAPKW70012
    Thank You,

  • Activating Technical Content in BI7.0

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to activate technical content for BI Statistics and make it work. I have not used RSTCO_ADMIN (we will not need BI Admin Cockpit for now, ST03 would make it at the moment) but went the good old way, activated all the cubes, process chains, etc. from RSA1.
Now everything looks to be more or less OK, except the Process Chains. The problem is that those infopackages in the standard process chains do not exist, and I cannot even find them in the Business Content either. Additionally, 6 of the 7 process chains in transaction RSPC look like "inactive", their names are displayed with grey instead of black. I have to double click on their name and then click on "Display/Change" to make them appear on the right-hand side of the screen.
We are on SAP_BW release 700 SP12, BI_CONT release 703, level 0000. Do you have any idea on why I cannot find those infopackages anywhere in the BI content?
Thanks in advance for any tips,
    Csaba

    Hi Dhanya,
    Thanks for your reply.
When activating the process chain, I have selected all infopackages that were collected automatically by the system (with the option "In the Data Flow Before"). I also tried to find these infopackages myself in the Business Content (in ISIP (Infopackage) object type), still no success.
I also thought I could create these infopackages manually, but I have absolutely no idea on what they are expected to do: loading? From where to where? Activating data? Changing attributes? I don't know.
In RSPC I can see these infopackages as a step in the chain, but only with their technical name which does not help me to find out what is the source and target of that loading.
    Cheers,
    Csaba

  • Technical content after upgrade

    Hi,
We're upgrading from BW 3.5 to BW 7 EHP1 and I've installed the new technical content and process chains. After I've run the initialisation process chains only content since the upgrade is loaded into the InfoProviders and there is no history. How do I load the history? We're specifically interested in use of queries/cubes by user. We're going live this weekend so prompt answers will be appreciated.
    Points will be awarded.
    best regards,
    John

    John,
I do not think there is an automated way of migrating the older information....
    http://nextzeninfotech.com/Documents/50f95b21-7fb8-2910-0c81-f6935d4c654b.pdf
This will give you some idea about the changes involved.
What you could do is to build another flat file datasource for the cubes / Transformations from the older cubes to load the same but this would have to be custom and not provided by SAP.

has a line which says that older data cannot be migrated...

  • Install SAP Technical Content

I have heard about installation of Technical Content.
Can any one tell me how to install SAP Technical Content and why we used it.

    Hi
After a new install or upgrade, Technical Content will be installed automatically after you run TCODE Rsa1 (BI_TCO_ACTIVATION) for the first time. It is used for the BI Stats and authorization to mention a few.
See OSS note 979581 for more details.
    Thanks

  • Technical Content 0TCT_MC23 Monitor Infopackage runtime over a time row

    Hello Experts,
I try to make a query on the Multicube 0TCT_MC23.
I want to find out the runtime over several days for an Infopackage loading from source system, e.g. Y_2LIS_13_VDITM to an ODS.
To make it more flexible than the standardqueries I create my on query with some varaibles for source object, target, object and so on.
    Now I have some questions:
    1. Which calculation should I do for the runtime of the Infopackage in munutes/seconds?
I would like to see the same time as I see in the monitor for the Infopackage run in the header information,
    e.g.    Runtime      40m 12s = 0.28 % of the previo
(The keyfigure: 'End Timestamp' is not corresponding with the information from the Infopackage monitor,
The keyfigure 'Duration' is also not corresponing)
    2. I also would like to differentiate the times on the source system and the times on BW system. Therefore I use the characteristic: Trans. type (WHM) 0TCTWHMACT with the content:
    000
010      Processing in the Source System
    600       InfoCube Reconstruction
    900       Total Process
So who can explain me the meaning of this, e.g.  the entry 900 (Total process) is the sum of what?
or a documentation link would be helpfull.

    Hi,
    Oh, I'am sorry:
I don't have an actual problem with a step in a process chain.
What I'am going to do is:
Monitor the performance of my daily loading processes.
I just want to have more information about the performance of the steps in my loading process and monitor these steps over several days / weeks.
So some hints for the technical content and especially for 0TCTWHMACT information would be helpfull.

  • BW Statistics and Technical Content

    HI,
I am working on BI 7.0.
I understand both BW statistics and Technical content are used to monitor the system status to improve performance. But what I dont get is teh exact difference between these two.
BW statistics provides the follwing Dataprovider:
    0BWTC_C02     BW Statistics - OLAP
0BWTC_C03     BW Statistics - OLAP, Detail Navigation
    0BWTC_C04     BW Statistics - Aggregates
    0BWTC_C05     BW Statistics - WHM
    0BWTC_C09     BW Statistics: Condensing InfoCubes
0BWTC_C11     BW Statistics: Deleting Data from InfoCubes
    Whereas Technical content provides following:
    0TCT_C03     Data Manager Statistics (Details)
    0TCT_C22     DTP Statistics
0TCT_C01     Front End and OLAP Statistics (Aggregated)
0TCT_C02     Front End and OLAP Statistics (Details)
    0TCT_C23     Infopackage Statistics
    0TCT_C21     Process Chain Statistics
    Please advice
    Regards
    Pankaj

    Thanks...
but in the following link of 7.0 saphelp, it still shows the BW statistics cube 0BWTC* and so is the confusion whether to use 0BWTC* also aprt from using 0TCT*

  • Statistics technical content activation issue with MD process chain in BI7

    Hi,
Let me give you history of the issue first.
I had to activate the Statistics in BI7. I followed the SAP Note 965386 and activated the Technical Content.
Faced activation issues in MD process chain, Content Master Data-0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01. It dint get activated, Followed the SAP note 1065919, which asked me to remove the below process from RSPC and activate it.
Load data- Process Variant Attribute and
    Load data- Process Variant Text.
I did the same and it got activated after removing them.
Issue is. Later knew that manually activating the Process chain from Content would have activated those Infopackages aswell.
Now how should I get those processes into the chain and activate? Based on your suggestions, I can let you know what all I have been trying to fix it?
    Relying on you for solution.
    Thanks
    Pavan

    Thank You Neethika,
I have this issue solved. I replicated the data sources, activated those infoPackages manually and then added those variants into the process chain manually. So my MD chain now has all the necessary process.
Now i need to schedule them and see if it runs with out any errors. I will keep this thread open till i run it to take your help if i get any errors while running them.
    Thanks
    Pavan

  • Technical Content(Statistics)

    Hi,
Previously I installed the BI statistics manually (not over SPRO). During the activation the system created datasources in all conected systems like R/3 dev. system. Also the activated process chains include the delta loads from these R/3 based datasources.
My doubt is, the existing dataload steps in the process chains might be wrong. Can anyone tell me which datasources should be used from R3 side and which should be the BW based?
The process chains I mentioned are:
    Content Master Data
    System Master Data
    Data Load Statistics - Delta
    Load Statictics Data Delta
    Query Runtime Statistics - Delta
    Thanks
    Senoy

    Senoy,
Statistics load from BW only. Not from R/3. all data sources are from BW only.

  • Technical content activation for BI STAT and Admin cockpit

    Hi friends,
I am going to setup the IMG call for BI STAT and Admin cockpit. If i run the technical content activation will i need a precaution for other data loading. If i run them in background does it affects other data loads. did i need to take down time for the whole system?
After the implemntation did i need to load data for all infoproviders in quality system.

    Hello Suresh,
I am not clear on all your questions.
In general, technical content process chains load data similiar to other BI process chains.
if your system is productive for a longer period already ( > 6 months ), there may be a lot of
BI statistics data generated and this will take a longer time to load the technical content cubes during the initial load.
Otherwise, it should not affect system performance.
It is better to schedule them daily to avoid huge data loads.
But these are only guidelines. It depends on your need.
You would need to do separately for quality and production system, if you want the BI stats in those systems. This is similiar to any other Data load and cube and content in BI.
    Thanks,
    Bilal

    you can enable this facility
go to RSA1> tools >bw statistics>here we have two options like OLAP,WHM ,if you chk OLAP for the respective cube, now it will display  all the related infromation i.e all the details of the queries pertaining to the cube
WHM will store all related data staging related information
want to know what is the procedure to know which query is mostly executed in the system and by how many users
the below cubes will meet your requirement
    0BWTC_C10_Q011  OLAP Use per User
0BWTC_C10_Q506  OLAP Use per User (Total Number of Records)
0BWTC_C10_Q505  OLAP Use per User (Total Time)

  • Testing BW Statistics (Technical Content)

    Hello ever one,
need some help in testing BW Statistics.
I have install all standard 6 cube and 1 multiprovider in Dev.
Every thing went fine,I am facing problem in testing,
as i am comparing BW Statistics Report out come with
BW objects (such as Cube/ODS-records/deleted records)
which are no where matching with BW Statistics report.
Is their any specific setting i have missed out coz of this
its not giving correct report ?
or some thing else need to be done for testing.
    please let me know.
    Thanks & Regards.

    MWM,
Is this with respect to :
    1. Requests being deleted ?
    2. Selective deletion ?
Also what is the nature of mismatch - the records do not tally ?
    2. There are no records in statistics ?
Try refreshing stats for the cubes and then reload technical content once again.. also check the same in table RSDDSTAT.
