Technical Content Cube 0TCT_MC21, Query 0TCT_MC21_Q0111

Hi SAP experts
We have a problem:
Executing the query 0TCT_MC21_Q0111 for runtime processes seems to ignore some relevant infopackages with high runtime.
Have you ever experienced such symptom with content statistics in 7.0?
The subsequent respectivley the following DTP is listed in the DTP-statistics. Isn't this very strange?
Any ideas?

Dear Lokesh
Thanks for your rapid reply.

  • Roles and queries Technical content cube

    Dear Experts,
Is anyone aware of any technical content cube that has information about roles and which queries those roles have access to?
ie. I need Roles - Query mapping
I have already looked in to AGR_1251 table but here the direct value is not present. I will have to evaluate the S_RS_COMP and
S_RS_COMp1 authorization objects. Iam looking for another method. So please dont suggest AGR_1251 table.
    Thanks,
    Kris

    Hi Kris,
The way that is there to find out the query - mapping details is already known to you which is the best possible way. But apart from that if you would like to know the roles present in your system then you can simply use the Metadata Repository that is already there and is easily accessible.
    1) Just go to the RSA1-> Left hand side bottom -> Metadata Repository -> Click on it or use tcode RSORMDR.
    2) You will get list for all the Activated objects in your production system.
    3) Locate the Role object from Right hand side.
    4) On clicking the Role you will get all the roles that have been created in your system.
If you want the role related to a query then you can simply select the Query object from the metadata repository, you will get list of all queries & further clicking on the query will give you entire details about the query like roles etc.
Also you can use your own method.
You will need to write your own abap to get the details by writing logic which compares the data from both the tables and displays the data accordingly else the best option that is always there is using Metadata Repository.
    Thanks

  • Technical Content Cube for Multi Provider Information???

    Hi all,
Can anyone suggest which Technical Content Cube will give  Information about Multi Provider and its underlying Info Providers(Last load tiem of Info Provider)?.
    Thanks
    Deepika

    Hi,
We have tables which gives the information about that, if u want u can create a view on these tables in RSO2 in BW and load the data to the Zcube.
    Below are the tables.
    RSDCUBE     - Directory of InfoCubes
RSDCUBEIOBJ - Objects per InfoCube (where-used list)
    RSDDIMEIOBJ -
RSDCUBEMULTI -InfoCubes involved in a MultiCube
RSDICMULTIIOBJ - MultiProvider Selection/ Identification             of                          InfoObjects
Sorry for the post its my misunderstanding....
For bw statistics the above post will help u....

  • Impact of transporting some of the Technical Content Cubes

    Hi All,
        We are on BI 7.0.
We would like move only 5 of the cubes from Technical Content. We activated all the 11 cubes using Standard Report.
    Questions:
    1. I read in some of the threads Technical Content needs to be activated manually in the target systems...<b> i'm thinking we can transport it</b>.
    2. I want to transport only 5 Cubes... <b>i don't think transporting these  5 cubes models without any other  is not problem.</b>
    Let us know your view.
    Thanks inadvance!
    Nagesh Ganisetti.

    1. I read in some of the threads Technical Content needs to be activated manually in the target systems... YOU CAN ONLY ACTIVATE IN DEV AND TRANSPORT
    2. I want to transport only 5 Cubes... YOU CAN COLLECT THE 5 CUBES AND TRANSPORT JUST THEM.
    Hope this helps

  • Technical Content cube

    hello,
the regular(weekly) delta load for cube 0bwtc_c03 has failed. if we check the infopackage the following message is seen:
    "InfoPackage 0BWTC_C03
    Delta(ZPAK_3UHJQXE0MPEJMKOBC3T5FQHLP) exists
already in process chains -> Long text  "
Also the initialisation flag in the infopackage is not seen and it does not allow to trigger the same infopackage. The update tab has initialisation option selected.
It does not allow me to schedule the init load also as the scheduling button is disabled.
There is also a process chain(TCT_0BWTC_03)seen along with the IPG for this.
As i have not worked with process chains, please guide how do i proceed and schedule the init load again?
    regards,

    Hi Abhijit,
You would be able to do an INIT load only once. For your case I think it has been already done. If you want to do an INIT load then delete the old INIT request and then do it. You can delete the old INIT request from the infopackage -> Scheduler(Menu) -> Initalization Option for the Source.
As for why the other info-package not included in the process chain. You would need to check the chain in RSPC(transaction code) whether they are included or not.
    Bye

  • Aggregates on Technical Content

    Hi Guru's,
I have installed the Technical Content Cube ( 0BWTC_C05) ,which is for ware house performance monitoring, Now I have to create a process chain to load data into this Infocube. As we are not using the Multiprovider,we cant have the standard queries on this cube. I have created a Query to get the data necessary . I want to create an aggregate for this infocube . How to manage this in the process chain ,and My doubt is if we create the aggr in Dev system, will this be carried to QA system and prd ?? I will be really Glad if any of you can send me the PC Chain used to load this Infocube, as I am not sure what process to include .
    Thanks,
    Krish

    Hi Krish,
You can transport the aggregates created in Dev to QA and Prod boxes. Also most of the projects do allow the creation of aggregates in Prod/QA also so you can create the aggregates there.
The load steps for 0BWTC_C05 would be like this:
    1. Load all the attribute/text associated with the cube 0BWTC_C05.
    2. Aplly Hier/Attr Change.
    3. Load the data for 0BWTC_C05.
    Bye

  • Report on Technical Content

    Hi BW BeX Gurus,
Daily we have dataloads for 8 hrs. After the dataloads we prepare a checklist by going into Manage Datatargets screen for each datatarget(Cubes and ODS's),then we note down number of records transferred and added . This is how we do it MANUALLY on daily basis.
    This is quite lenghty process.
Now can we automate the above process by creating
a report one at a shot to get all the transfered/added records for all the datatargets loaded with data on daily basis ?
Is it possible by creating a query over Technical statistics cube? If there are anyother solutions Please
    let me know.
    Cheers
    Thx in Advance
    Rajesh

    Hi,
A customised tool using ABAP is very much possible to develop. But I would suggets its better to get details from the tables that have the informations on data load instead of the Technical Content Cube.
    Check tables like:
    RSDDSTATWHM , RSREQDONE.
This tool can have features like:
    1. User can give the datasource name or Infosource name or Data target name or a date range or just a single date to get a report on the data load details like the Infopackage name, datasource name, type of load, number of records loaded, status of the load, process chain name if that infopackage is within a process chain, start time of the load, finish time of the load etc.
    2. You can use this tool everyday even for monitoring the any data load to know the complete information related to a data load based on the input criteria mentioned in point 1.
One more solution is to use RSDDSTAT* tables data to be loaded into Technical Copntent cube and use BEx for reporting for this cube.

  • Urgent-Issue with Technical Content.

    Hi experts,
we have activated the technical content. Now we are Initilize and run deltas with Process Chain.
Under one of the Infosource loading the datatarget(0BWTC_C02),i have the following standard delivered infopackages
    1) Delta - OLAP Transaction Data
    2) OLAP Transaction Data Initialization
    3) OLAP Transaction Data: Delta Initialization
    4) Transaction Data OLAP - Delta
    5) Transaction Data OLAP - Delta Initialization
I have checked all these infopackages,i dont see any difference when i tried to compare the selection conditions and datatargets.
    Now my question is
    1) How do i select which infopackage should be in the process chains?
    2) Also do we need to create and delete indexes for the technical content cubes too?
    Please advise
    thanks in advance
    kiran

    Hi sunil,
    I appreciate your reply.
Issue 1:My question was as i have 5 Standard infopackages with no differences. If you see my first posting. How should i consider which infopackage to choose for in my Process Chain?
Ex: As i see 3 Init Infopackages witht he same name. How should choose which onfopackage to include for the process chain?
Also i see 2 delta infopackages witht almost the similar name. How should i consider which infopackage to include for the process chain.
Issue 2: I do understand that indexes are deleted before loading data for better loading performance and then indexes are created for reporting perfomances.
But my question was do we have to create/delete indexes for Technical content too. What is the recommended solution? What are the Pros and Cons?
Hope i am clear with my questions this time.
    thanks in advance

  • Activating technical content in BW7.0

    Hi,
We are in the process of upgrading BW 3.5 to NW 2004s. We followed OSS note 965386 to activate technical content. We assigned all the required authorization to the user and followed the following path to activate the content:-
SPRO>SAP NW>Business Intelligence>Setting for BI Content>Business Intelligence>BI Admin Cockpit>Activate technical content in SAP NW BI
When we went to SPRO we did not see the last step i.e. Activate technical content in SAP NW BI.
Any help in this regard? Also, why not we can activate the technical content from RSA1.
    Regards,
    Anil

Its just like installing any other BI content. Just check what are the cubes you would be needing. If you are not sure and want to have latest and greatest, you can stick with the MultiProvider(0BWTC_C10) that is delivered comprising of all the six individual technical content cubes. While installing system would prompt you whether to install the datsources, say yes and provide ur credentials. That would take of activating DS. After installing, replicate the datsources from the source system. You are all set to go.
or alternately run program RSTCC_ACTIVATE_ADMIN_COCKPIT to install all this stuff automatically instead of collecting all the objects in BI content screen.

  • Variable in technical content

    Hi all,
In the TECHNICAL CONTENT of my system I have a variable for the Exchange Rate Type (0RTYPE)called Z_RTYPE. When I run a query that use the currency conversion type this variable pops up in the variable screen, but it is not specifically added to my query.
Because this is not added to my query I cannot see this variable in the "Query Properties", which I need to be able to sort it.
Is there some way to add this variable from the technical content to my query?
    Best regards,
    TMV

    Hi Pank,
For all the Queries/Workbooks for which you want to collect Stats and see them in Reports, you have to activate or mark them/relevant Infoproviders in Datawarehousing Workbench.Tools> BI Statistics Settings.
For the new statistics, you have to determine the objects for which you want to update the statistics and to what level of detail. You call this dialog from the Data Warehousing Workbench. It has changed completely from the previous statistics functionality.
In addition, you can manually assign a priority to the queries, InfoProviders and process chains. This priority is evaluated in the statistics. This can be used to establish a ranking or to exclude objects from the display in a report.
Please search in SAP Help, you will get more stuff.

  • Technical content activation for BI STAT and Admin cockpit

    Hi friends,
I am going to setup the IMG call for BI STAT and Admin cockpit. If i run the technical content activation will i need a precaution for other data loading. If i run them in background does it affects other data loads. did i need to take down time for the whole system?
After the implemntation did i need to load data for all infoproviders in quality system.

    Hello Suresh,
I am not clear on all your questions.
In general, technical content process chains load data similiar to other BI process chains.
if your system is productive for a longer period already ( > 6 months ), there may be a lot of
BI statistics data generated and this will take a longer time to load the technical content cubes during the initial load.
Otherwise, it should not affect system performance.
It is better to schedule them daily to avoid huge data loads.
But these are only guidelines. It depends on your need.
You would need to do separately for quality and production system, if you want the BI stats in those systems. This is similiar to any other Data load and cube and content in BI.
    Thanks,
    Bilal

  • Is it possible to delete data selectively from Business content cubes

    Dear Experts,
Requesting you to help me out to know, is it possible to delete data selectively from Business content cubes.
When I'm trying to delete selectively from Business content cubes, the background job gets cancelled with ST22 logs stating
A RAISE statement in the program "SAPLRSDRD" raised the exception  condition "X_MESSAGE".
Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program, processing was terminated.
and i tried  with few more Technical content cubes but the same thing happens.
Pls let me know how to selectively delete data from Business content cubes if it's possible?.
Thanks in advance for your favorable assistance.
    Regards,
    Ramesh-Kumar.

    Hi Ramesh,
Follow below steps for selective deletion:
    1.     Transaction code: Use the Transaction code DELETE_FACTS.
    2.     Generate selective deletion program:
A report program will be generated of the given name, here .
    3.     Selection screen:
Take the deletion program u201CZDEL_EPBGu201D to the transaction code SE38 to see/execute the program.
After executing it will take you to a selection screen:
As we need to carry out deletion selective on Calendar week, we need to get the screen field for the field Calendar week. For this, click on the Calendar week field and press F1.
Click on the technical information button (marked in red box above) you will get below screen:
ABAP program to carry out the Calendar week calculation
Problem scenario: As stated earlier the requirement is to delete the data from the cube based on the calendar week. Thus a code must be developed such that the number of weeks should be taken as input and corresponding calendar week should be determined. This calendar week should be then passed to the deletion program in order to carry out the data deletion from the InfoCube.
Transaction code: Use T-code SE38 in order to create a program.
Logic: Suppose we need to delete the data older than 100 weeks.
    a.     Get the number of weeks and system date in variables and calculate the total number of days :
    lv_week = 100.      *number of weeks
    lv_dte = sy-datum.     *system date
    v_totaldays = lv_week * 7.      *total days
    b.     Get the corresponding calendar day from the total days. This is obtained by simply subtracting the total no. of days from the system date.
    lv_calday = lv_dte - v_totaldays. *corresponding calday.
    c.     Now in order to get the calendar week corresponding to the calculated calendar day we must call a function module 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'. This function module takes input as Calendar day and Fiscal year variant and returns the appropriate fiscal period.
Get the sales week time elements
      call function 'DATE_TO_PERIOD_CONVERT'
        exporting
          i_date                      = lv_calday
          i_periv                     = lc_sales
        importing
          e_buper                     = lv_period
          e_gjahr                     = lv_year
        exceptions
          input_false                 = 1
          t009_notfound               = 2
          t009b_notfound              = 3.
      if sy-subrc = 0.
        ls_time-calweek(4)      = lv_year.
        ls_time-calweek+4(2)    = lv_period.
      endif.
    v_week = ls_boots_time-calweek.
Note: We can pass the fiscal year variant which can be obtained from the table T009B.For e.g. here fiscal year variant lc_sales = Z2. LS_TIME will be any table with suitable time units.
    d.     Now we have obtained the required calendar week in the v_week variable. This calendar week is the week till which we need to keep the data. And older data than this week will be deleted. This deletion will be done by the deletion program
Submitting the Data deletion program for ZEPBGC01 and key field
    SUBMIT ZDEL_EPBG WITH C039 LT v_week.
Here the calendar week value is submitted to the deletion program ZDEL_EPBG with the screen field of calendar week.
Hope ... this will  help you..
    Thanks,
    Jitendra

  • Technical Content - Query Execution

    Hi,
I have recently activated the Technical Content.
How do I identify the number of the times the query has been executed by the user? I found one column 'Number of Navigations' in the BW-Statistics workbook. What is this meant for ?
    Thanks
    Ramesh Ganji

    hi Ramesh,
oss note 130696 -Performance trace in BW-Helps may explain the meaning.
to identify number of times query executed, there is keyfigure 0TCTSTAUIK - frequency,
check if helps business content query 0BWTC_C10_Q021
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/68/84353cf261303de10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

    most user-run queries
    130696 -Performance trace in BW-Helps
    Symptom
How can you monitor the performance of a query in BW?
    Other terms
Performance, tracing, BW, query, report, time
    Solution
    1) Activate the saving of statistical data for each InfoCube
-> BW Admin Workbench - Tools -> BW Statistics for Infoproviders ->
Select the "OLAP" field for the InfoCube.
    3) Execute report/query
    2) Analyze the RSDDSTAT table using Transaction SE16
Access, for example, using the InfoCube name or the user name or the
    timestamp
    1. Times that are saved:
    QTIMEOLAPINIT
Time of the initialization of the query (for example, loading query in OLAP, compiling if required)
    QTIMEOLAP
Time that the OLAP processor required
    QTIMEDB
Time the database + network required to select the transaction data. The time is measured from when the SQL command is send to the database, and it is stopped when the requested data reaches the application server. This time therefore includes the transport on the network and the selection on the database.
    QTIMEVARDP
Time the user required to enter the variables
    QTIMEUSER
Time the user required between the navigation steps
    QTIMECLIENT
Time of data formatting in the frontend
The time measurment starts when the OLAP processor has completed the data formatting. The data is then sent to the frontend (EXCEL). The time is stopped when the frontend (BW add-in in EXCEL) has inserted all data in the worksheets (writing the contents and formatting cell, if required). The time therefore includes the transport on the network with the RFC connection and the output in the frontend.
    TIMECHAVLREAD
Time required to read master data
    TIMEAUTHCHECK
    Runtime of the authorization check.
    TIMEREST
Time that could not be assigned in more detail (should be equal to 0; if this is not the case, something in the internal processing of the OLAP processor occured differently than expected.)
    QRUNTIMECATEGORY
Time of a navigation step (QTIMEOLAPINIT + QTIMEOLAP + QTIMEDB + QTIMEEXCEL + QTIMECHAVLREAD) rounded to the next higher scaling (1,10,100,1000 ... seconds). As of 1.2B, this is rounded to 1,2,3, ... 10,20,30,...100,200,300,... seconds.
    1. Data regarding the size of the query:
    QDBSEL
Number of the records that had to be read on the database
    QDBTRANS
Number of records that the database transferred to the server
    QNUMCELLS
Number of cells that were transferred to the frontend
    QNUMRANGES
Number of formattings that were transferred to the frontend
    RECCHAVLREAD
Number of master data records to be read
    1. In addition, the following is saved:
    QAGGRUSED
    Name of the aggregate used
    QNACHLESEN
Indicator: Query reads during each navigation step
    1. Administrative information
    STATUID
Key of the table; link in view RSDDSTAT_V
    QSESSION
All data for a call of the frontend (between start and end of the frontend) is compounded with this unique GUID.
    QNAVSTEP
The navigation steps of a QSESSION are numbered in ascending order
    QNUMOLAPREADS
Number of read operations OLAP processor for each navigation step
    HANDLE
In the frontend, each embedded query has a separate, sequential number (handle)
If you want to analyze a certain query, start it and filter the values from the table afterwards: Selection options: infocube, user name, queryid (can be determined in the report monitor (Transaction RSRT)-> Technical information). The STARTTIME (UTC time) tells you whether you have found the correct session.
You can recognize a session because the QSESSION is always assigned the same ID. The sequence of the navigation steps is saved in QNAVSTEP. However, you can also determine it using the STARTTIME.

  • Technical Content Query

    Hi,
Can anyone please help me about the frequency and number of navigations info objects in Technical content query.
I have executed the query once and closed it. Post that I have uploaded the statistics data through the info packages provided.
After that I have executed the query 0BWTC_C10_Q021. In the output of this query, I am getting the values for frequency and number of navigations as 4.
Any idea why the count is showing as 4, when I executed the query once.
    Thanks
    Ramesh Ganji

    Hi,
Normally when you copy the query it get stored in a Favourites folder just check it.
    Hope this helps.
