Technical Difficulties Message when submitting my RSS URL

I keep trying to submit my RSS feed URL to iTunes and I keep getting the message "We are currently experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later." Is this really something on iTunes end or is something wrong with my RSS file?

Well, I can't see any problem with the feed, and the episode media file is correctly referenced and plays. Incidentally you do have a 'copyright' tag - it says 'Wippenberg'.
When a podcast feed is rejected, corrected and resubmitted there is a minor bug in the Store which causes you to be told that the podcast has already been submitted (which is true but irrelevant - it's really meant to prevent duplicates). To get round this you need to make a small change to the title - for example you could add a hyphen and space before 'Podcast'. You can always change it back once it's been accepted.
The other issue might be the content. The reason given for rejection tends to be technical issues, whatever the actual reason is. I haven't listened to your podcast, so I can't comment directly. Possible reasons for rejection are unacceptable content, sexual content or strong language when the 'explicit' tag is not said to 'yes', and copyright infringement: a lot of people fall over this one by including 'mixes' or indeed full plays of commercially issued recordings without having written permission from the copyright owners or alternatively a valid Podcast Licence (not available in all countries, possibly only the USA). I have no idea whether this might be an issue with yours.

Why do I keep getting error messages when submitting a validated RSS feed URL to iTS. Feed is http://streaming.integrationworks.com:3000/archive/feed2.xml
I get variations on the follwoing message: "We had difficulty reading this feed. Bad http result code: 504"
I validated this file at http://www.feedvalidator.org/. I am able to manually place it in iTunes (Open Stream) and download episodes. I can paste the URL in my browser and retrieve an RSS feed page.
    Any ideas?

You have to remember that when subscribing manually, it's only your iTunes application which is doing this - the Store is not involved at all. When submitting, the Store software checks the feed as a technical check before its assessed for content by humans; but how this is done and what sort of call is made to the server is another of Apple's dark secrets.
You're the third with a similar situation in the last couple of days, and I've seen this arise before: though the specific message about a proxy server is unique to you. (A proxy server would act as an intermediary - anyone accessing the feed would ask the proxy for it, and the proxy would retrieve it from the actual server and pass it back, masking the original server's URL in the process. Whether this is actually what is going on is obviously something only your server technicians can say - and then there's the question of what is different about a request from the iTunes Store.)
If all else fails you could place the feed on another server and try again - you could do this and leave the episode media files where they are, they don't have to be on the same server as the feed, as long as the server in question can handle 'byte-range requests' (which is a quite separate can of digital worms).

  • Encoding error message when submitting form to REST endpoint

When submitting a stand-alone form to the REST endpoint of a process I receive the following message in Acrobat reader (translated from german):
"An error occured when submitting the form. Content of type text/plain;charset=utf-8 could not be processed"
Despite the error message the process gets started and works fine.
In terms of usability I would like to get rid of this error message since it irritates the ordinary user.
This happens only in Acrobat Reader (version is 10.1)  not in Pro
    My workbench version is 10.0.1

The No Content approach should work. Can you show the exact code you're using to generate the response? Did you add "#FDF" to the end of the URL for the submit form action?
If you haven't looked into it already, consider returning an FDF that causes a popup dialog to display as a way of providing feedback.

  • Cover art error message when submitting podcast, but image is the propper size.

I'm using Soundcloud to host a podcast.  I tried submitting my RSS feed to itunes today, and I keep getting the error stating that my cover art must be at least 1400 x 1400 ect.  The image being used is a 1400 x 1400 .jpg, so I can't figure out what the problem is.  Can someone help me through this?
Here is my RSS Feed: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:118687921/sounds.rss

The image is still 600 x 600 - http://i1.sndcdn.com/avatars-000122042307-vnef41-original.jpg - it looks as if SoundCloud is 'helpfully' reducing the size to what used to apply several years ago. I don't know what you can do about this.
There are several ways of looking at the coding for your feed. The simplest is to control-click on its URL
    http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:118687921/sounds.rss
and choose 'Download' or 'Save linked file' or similar to download it. Then drag it onto the TextEdit icon to open it. Alternatively nominate a browser as your RSS reader - FireFox is good: Safari almost as good - in FireFox his command-u; in Safari you can access the source code from menus which differer with the version.

  • Error message when submitting podcast

I have been trying to submit a new podcast to the directory in itunes.
I tested the feed by subscribing to my podcast using the advanced menu as suggested in the FAQ on submitting a video podcast. The test was successful and I downloaded the most recent podcast and played it in itunes. The list of previous podcasts was also available in itunes.
When I used the same url to submit it to the itunes directory an error message came back.
"We require that feeds include a title"
Is there anyone who can tell me what is wrong.
This is the url that tested out successfully.

  • How to disable confirmation message when submitting a pdf form

How do I disable the confirmation mesage, so that the user does not get at message like " you form has been recieved"  each time data is submitted?
The reason for my question, is that i have a pdf form that i'd like to fill out offline, store the settings (data) in an array and the when I get online again run a loop that populates the form with the values storen in my array and submits them one at the time to formscentral.
I'm able to make the loop work just fine, however I do not want to see the confirmation message each time data is submitted,  because my loop is paused each time the confirmation message appears, and the only way to resume it, is to click "ok".
Hope someone can provide me with some help here

  • Technical Issues Message When Trying To Submit My Podcast Feed

I have been trying to submit my podcast feed to the itunes store since monday and every time I get a message saying there is a technical issue and please try again later.
I sent an email off to apple to find out about this and options offered in the reply haven't worked either! I have had the podcast on itunes before but the site I was hosting it at back in the day (Mevio) decided to remove everything on its site, hence my original feed sat doing nothing and was then removed from the iTunes store, I have recently found a site that offered everything I was looking for (Podcasts.com) and signed up.
I posted my first show on Monday but now I have the issue of iTunes constantly telling me there is a Technical Issue and to try again later which I have repeatedly.
I even tried running my feed through feedburner and still nothing, I have changed the title of both the podcast and the show name like was suggested in the email from apple and still it wouldn't take. Its starting to get on my nerves now since I want to get my podcast back on iTunes.
Can anyone offer up any advice or suggestions on how I can sort this out!?

The feed can be successfully subscribed to manually in iTunes. There are a few minor issues with the feed which I wouldn't have expected to cause a problem, but the Store can be more touchy than the application.
You should have this as the first line in your feed:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
You have far too many words in the 'keywords' tag in your episode - the maximum is twelve.
    Your 'itunes:duration' tag reads
    <itunes:duration>81</itunes:duration>
which is meaningless, though the Store might read it as 81 seconds and play only that amount of your episode. It should have the duration in the format hh:mm:ss, e.g. 0:26:42
I wouldn't have expected any of these to be fatal, though you should address them. It may be that you've hit a glitch in the Store - it's been known - so when you've corrected the errors try again.

  • Error message when submitting PS job in Tidal

Did anyone see this error message? I submitted a PeopleSoft job and got this message
org.apache.xerces.dom.ElementNSImpl cannot be cast to org.w3c.dom.html.HTMLAnchorElement
All I can find in the log is where it changes the status to 66, Error Occurred. Is it Tidal or PS?

    Thanks Lumi
I hope its working fine with you, my client is thinking about upgrading their PS from 9.1(PTools 8.50.10) to PS 9.2(PTools 8.53) and I wanted to make sure that TES can still talk to the new PS env with no issues.
Seems i also need to research Informatica as well, as we have WS connection between Infomatica and the PS env. do you have Informatica as well? if so, is everything working as expected.
    appreciate this Lumi.
    Thanks

  • Error message when 'submitting' completed survey.

One survey participant got an error message as she was submitting the filled survey online. The message told her to press "back" on her browser and resubmit. She did that and it threw her back onto the first page of the survey... any ideas what is wrong please? And how I can retrieve her survey? (I checked - it did not get uploaded).
    Thank you!

  • Strange error message when submitting my contact form - what does it mean?

This site was designed by someone else and taken over by me.  The contact form used to work but now when you type in the fields and hit SUBMIT you get the error message that I've attached.  I've tried changing the code using Godaddy's gdform mailer steps and it's still not working.
    Try:

    Thank you.

Your form is apparently trying to send via SMTP through pobox.com instead of from your own domain. pobox.com has probably set up their server to prevent this type of email relay - a good thing.
Why not send through your own domain's mail server? I know nothing about GoDaddy, though. You might want to give them a call.

  • Error message when submitting PDF form

I am very new at using Adobe Acrobat so I don't really know what I am doing. I created a PDF form for my site. I set it up to submit to an email. When I tested the form and hit the submit button I got this error "An error occurred while creating the file 'C:\WINDOWS\FORMS\FRMCACHE.DAT' in the form directory." Any help on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Andrea

To submit by e-mail, the client computer has to have MAPI active for the e-mail clients. Also, you do not want folks to submit a full PDF, but just the FDF or XML form results. Those can be opened in the form on your machine. One of these issues are likely related to your problem.
Be aware that you likely designed the form in Designer, not Acrobat. There are form tools in Acrobat, but many folks just hit the Forms menu and then find themselves taken to Designer. Once in Designer, you can no longer do editing in Acrobat.

  • Submitting a podcast - technical difficulties

I just tried submitting a new podcast, but I keep getting a technical difficulties message.
Searching this board, I see this problem occurred in April and again earlier in June. Is this one ongoing problem, or is it intermittent, where it might allow me to submit in a day or so?
As far as I know, my feed is fine. I can add it through the Advanced menu in itunes. But I'd like to get it added to iTunes itself so people can search/find it easier.

    Any ideas?

Yes, the feed is fine. This presumably means that they are having some sort of problem at the server, and all you can do is to give it a bit and try again.
