Technical documentation for Procurement Scenario

Hi,
Does anyone have the technical documentation for the Procurement Scenario?  We would like to enhance this scenario but first, we would like to understand all the components it uses, from the user interface layer down to the backend layer.  So far all the documentation I have seen from SAP are for business/functional demonstrations, but there are no documents that go into the technical level.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Technical documentation for ADF projects - how to and best practices

    Hi,
I have a question how to create technical documentation for ADF project expecialy ADF BC and ADF Faces. Is there any tool or JDev plugin for that purpose? What informations should contains documentation for that project, any principles ?Has anybody any experienece. Are there something like documentation best practices for ADF projects? E.g. how to create documentation for bussiness components.
    Kuba

I'm not sure there is "best practices" but some of the things that can help people understand are:
An ADF BC diagram - this will describe all your ADF BC objects - just drag your components into a new empty diagram
A JSF page flow - to show how pages are called.
Java class diagram - for Java code that is not in the above two
One more thing to consider - since ADF BC, JSF page flow and JSPX pages are all XML based - you could write XSL files that will actually transform them into any type of documentation you want.

I created my own ODS. It contains all InfoObjects from the InfoSource (we have some custom fields added too).
The key for the ODS is:

    Schedule line number 0SCHED_LINE

  • Technical documentation for BC4J

There seems to be very little tech info available for BC4J. Could someone please point me in the right direction??

I'd suggest starting with the tutorials on BC4J (included with the online help), then dig into the main online help documentation on BC4J (there are more than 200 topics on BC4J). In addition to that, you can look at all the BC4J Javadoc in the reference section of the online help. There are also several high quality How To documents and other papers ("Simplifying J2EE and EJB Development with BC4J" is a great starting point) available through the JDeveloper OTN page.

  • How should i prepare a technical design for this scenario

Business case for Heiler Part/Plant Interface: with sap
A key function of the Heiler PBC tool is to provide users a choice
between a "Global Catalog View" (e.g. all parts in the catalog) or a
"Local Catalog View" (e.g. the subset of parts in the catalog that have
a Material Master established for the user's plant in SAP).  The "Local
Catalog View" is the default condition and encourages users to procure
parts that are on contract for their plant and potentially already
stocked as an inventory item at their plant.  Parts that are not in a
user's "Local Catalog View" can only be procured as a spot buy purchase
order, requiring processing by a buyer.
The new Part/Plant interface is required in order for the Heiler PBC
tool to provide this "Local Catalog View" function.  The Heiler
Part/Plant table will document what plants in SAP have a Material Master
record established for each part.  SAP will maintain the Heiler
Part/Plant table using this interface.  When a user performs a part
search in the Heiler PBC tool, the Part/Plant table determines if a part
is included in the user's "Local Catalog View".

Then would it be better to delete all album info and art work?
No. Again, iTunes Match does not change any existing ID3 tags. If you delete album infor and artwork then you will be left with a bunch of matched or uploaded tracks that have no ID3 tag data and you will have no idea what they are.
    MrWizard93 wrote:
I mean, for the most part, most of my songs are not the obscure type.  They should get matches in Apple's audio signature matching algorithims - at least I hope so. I am just worried about some of the songs that are labeled in a not so great way which doesn't really show up all that elegantly when you have people over and give them free reign over browsing media and what gets played.
Do not make the assumption that any track "should" get matched simply because it might be available in the store. iTM does not use ID3 tags to do it's matching. It uses the sonic fingerprint of the song and compares it to a similar DB on Apple's servers.
If you want "clean" ID3 tags then you need edit the tags yourself.
    MrWizard93 wrote:
Would it be best then to go through the matching and upload process, delete the originals from my drive, then redownload everything??
Not necessarily. Ask yourself why would want to do this. If you are already satisfied with the tracks in the library what is the point of deleting and downloading?
If your main purpose in subscribing to iTunes Match is to replace "low quality" audio tracks with tracks from the iTunes Store you will be disappointed in the matching rate. The lower the quality of the audio file the lower the chances of it matching and it will then be uploaded. If, on the other hand, your purpose is to have your iTunes library available on all your devices from just about anywhere then you should be satisfied since this is the primary goal of iTM.

  • Documentation for Business Content Rapid Marts Reports for SAP R/3

    Hi,
As we have technical documentation for SAP BI business content BI reports on SAP HELP Portal,
is there any link where we can find the technical documentation for business content reports supported by SAP BOBJ Rapid marts for R/3 solution like for HR module.
I would like to know what kind of reports are available as a part of rapid mart business content and what are the measures ( key figures ), dimensions ( characteristics ) supported by each of these standard business content rapid mart reports.
I have referred business guide and user guide for HR rapid marts but they just give an overview of what analysis can be done. But there is no technical documentation for each of the possible rapid mart reports.
    Thanks,
    Tarun Brijwani.

  • Oracle Forms: Technical Documentation Generator Tool (FoReDoclet, HTML)

    Dear Oracle Forms Developers,
Nostran Computing has released FoReDoclet, our technical documentation generator tool for Oracle Forms:
    Technical features:
    - Generates HTML documentation about form, menu, PL/SQL library and object library source files similarly to JavaDoc.
    - Uses the Comment property of internal objects (blocks, parameters, alerts)
    - Parses pl/sql elements (procedures, functions, packages, triggers) as well as standard internal elements.
    - The generated HTML documentation is highly customizable by style sheets or direct template modification.
    - Accepts HTML codes in Comments property fields and PL/SQL comment blocks.
    Business benefits:
    - Eliminates the need of writing separate technical documentation, works directly from the source.
    - Provides a low-cost and efficient way of producing high-quality technical documentation for Oracle Forms based applications.
    For details, see: http://www.nostran.com/products/foredoclet

  • Project Technical Documentation Creation - FoReDoclet

    Hello All,
I'm using the FoReDoclet (version 1.1) application for creating technical documentation for my project developed in Oracle Forms 10g. When I run the batch file after making the necessary changes and as per the instructions I get a following error
    - parsing: .\SLOT_PLANNER.fmb
    ERROR nostran.foredoclet.util.TemplateHelper
    - ERROR: Unknown property (ShowPalette)
I've checked and rechecked the particular fmb using the forms builder...but it working fine.... only when I run the batch file for creating technical documentation. Can anyone please tell me whats causing the problem and how to overcome it.
    thanks & regards,
    Arun

I'm not sure there is "best practices" but some of the things that can help people understand are:
An ADF BC diagram - this will describe all your ADF BC objects - just drag your components into a new empty diagram
A JSF page flow - to show how pages are called.
Java class diagram - for Java code that is not in the above two
One more thing to consider - since ADF BC, JSF page flow and JSPX pages are all XML based - you could write XSL files that will actually transform them into any type of documentation you want.

  • PDF or HTML for mobile Technical Documentation and Newsletters

    Hi,
I've been reviewing the pros and cons for PDF and HTML for mobile technical documentation and newsletters and wanted to get your honest thoughts on this.
    Here's the scenario:
I need to create  mobile technical documenation and newsletters that are interactive, i.e. video, commenting/annotating, links, forms, etc.
Given how the mobile publishing market is rapidly evolving, what is the most practical format, (with minimum format issues) to use for both short term and long term?  PDF or HTML?  Why?
Based on your choice, which format would you use for non-interactive documents that offers the most creative options and usability?  Why?
    Paul

Hyper Text Markup Language ( HTML ) is going to work better.  Mainly because the way mobile is setup, the interface has to conform to the device and with the other elements coded into the interface, HTML is far better.  You keep referring to usability, so even in non-interactive scenarios in mobile documentation, you're better off using HTML.

there will be a help button available next to the wagetype name.
