  • Display Technical Field Names within a Transaction Screen

    Hi All,
Someone once showed me how to do this and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do it in ECC 6.0.
I would like to display the technical field names of all fields in a transaction.  It is important to note that I am not looking for the <b>F1...Technical Details</b> solution.  I am well aware that the technical field name can be retrieved by this method.  I am really looking to see all the technical names of the fields in a particular transaction without a lot of clicking and searching.
When I saw this before you could quickly change from technical field names to short field names and vise versa.
I know this could also be accomplished in SE11 or SE16 - but that is not exactly what I am looking for.
    Can anyone help??

    Hi Christopher,
you know that Rollin Stones thing?
You can't always get what you want.
There is no such functionality for standard transactions.

  • Output Technical Field Names in the SAP query Output

    Hi Experts,
I am new to SAP Query/ABAP Query or Quick Viewer. Just would like to know if there is a way whereby I can print the technical field names as opposed to the English field headers. For example I want to print BUKRS in the place of CoCode.
I have a vague feeling this could be possible through custom coding in SQ02 but have no idea which code section to choose.Any inputs greatly appreciated.
    thanks in advance,

    Hi Sreegopalan,
Open your infoset in SQ02, by default in the left hand side you'll be having the tables that you have selected, double click the field name which you want change the long text, it will open a attributes window below your field group. Change the header data text as you wish.
Please find the query documentation in the below link.

  • Technical Field name for Usage

    Hi,
Could anyone please tell me whether there is any SAP standard field (technical) name & Segment structure for u201CUsageu201D  for the automatic determination of Item Category.
    More details:
User wants to send sales order through a non SAP application. So when the order comes to SAP through IDoc, I want the item category to be determined automatically. As you all knew, the rule for automatic determination of item category is Sales order type + Item cat. Group + Usage + HLevItCa. So I just need technical field name for Usage for XI mapping.
Is there SAP standard field for Usage just like we have field name (PSTYV) & segment structure (E1EDP01)for item category? Or it should only be achieved through any user exit? Could anyone ever done such setting? Could you please give me some inputs.
    Thank you.
    Regards, Sats.

    HI
    VWPOS - Item Category usage
    Check using path
SPRO --> Sales and Distribution --> Sales --> Sales Document --> Define item Category Usage
    Thanks & Regards

  • Technical folder names in my SAP Portal

    Hi Security Experts,
We have an issue wherein user has Technical folder names visible in his SAP Portal page.
Please advice if we can disable that.

    Give more specifics, please.
Is this happening only for one user ?  Which application ? Did you try clearing Cache / CTRL + F5 (Hard Refresh)
Did you compare permissions with another user who doesnt have this issue ?
Have seen similar issue after Portal EPA file import under an existing PCD folder structure.

  • Quick Viewer SQVI: how to switch to Technical Field Names on select screen?

    Hi all,
I have created in SQ01 a Quick view and want to see the technical field names (and not the descriptions) on the selection screen.
In SE16 in the selection screen you go to
    -> Settings
    -> User parameters
unter 'keywords' you find FIELD NAME / LABEL and you can choose.
But in SQVI there is not that option.
Only in the creation of the query you can 'switch between techniucal name and long text'.
However if you execute and come to the selection screen then there is only the long text....
    Who knows????
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

I also tried with different options but it looks like SAP does not have option to display technical fields in output, however we can see technical names while creating query.

  • BPC 10.0 NW - Change technical cube name during transport

    Hej gurus,
One of our users have run a full optimization, and therefore the technical names of the cubes in DEV and PRD are no longer the same.
We have looked at the SAP notes, and found the following.
1689814 – “Stabilize InfoCube's technical name in the modeling process”
We have made sure the note is on both DEV and PRD, and we have enabled "ENABLE_FIXED_CUBENAME" on all models. By doing this the notes states that:  "If the InfoCube technical names of the model are different between source and target system, the technical name of the InfoCube on target system would be changed to the same as the technical name of the InfoCube on source system."
When I run the transport, the transport is succesfull, but the technical name has not changed.
Therfore, I would like to know, if anybody have tried using this note and successfully changed the technical name? If yes, what did you exactly do? Did you transport everything for making it work? clear the database?
I hope somebody can help us.
    Best regards,
    Mikkel Kristensen

    Hi Mikkel,
Did you have any luck with this?  The only time I had any luck was changing the target structure (adding a dimension in the target), when the transport went through it changed the structure and reset the technical name to the source name.  It doesn't appear to work if the technical name is not due to be reset.
    Best,
    Chris

  • Crystal Reports - Problem with too long BEx Query technical variable names?

    Hello!
I have Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 and the SAP BO Integration Kit XI 3.1 SP3 installed and want to access a BEx query on a BW system within my Crystal Report.
The problem is that the name of the BEx variable is not displayed correctly (just "[]" is displayed for the variable name) as a parameter within Crystal Reports when I import the query. Furthermore I can't navigate through the fields of the query within Crystal Reports.
The technical names of the BEx query-variables have a length of 12 characters.
The interessting thing is that if I change the technical names of the BEx query variables to a maximum length of 8 characters everything works fine.
I use the SAP toolbar within Crystal Reports 2008 to create the report and have the "MDX-driver"-setting selected.
Has anyone ever had the same problem? Any suggestions?
I don't want to change the technical names of the variables of my queries...
    thanks,
    Dominik

    Hi!
Just fixed the problem: The "Transports" for the Integration Kit had to be imported at the BW-System

  • Picture in Webtemplates accroding to technical query name

    Hi Experts,
i got a question. I want to change the standard web template in BI7.0 in that way that on top i want to show a "dynamic" picture. The picture should change according to the beginning of the technical name of the query.
    Example:
    Q_SALES_xxxxxxxx  -> Sales Picture
    Q_LOGISTICS_xxxxxxxx > Logistic picture
The pictures should be loaded into Metadata repository.
If there is no picture available according the query, than a standard picture should be shown.
Sounds like JavaScript. What do you think?
    Regards,
    Adem

Yes, you can write the code in a Script web item. Since you are usig 04s WAD if you call the function in the onload event of body the code generated by the system overwrites the code you put in onload.
You have to call it within the HTML section of the template like below towards the end of the template just before closing the body tag.
    <SCRIPT> setHdrImage(); </SCRIPT>

  • SLD Technical server name

    Hi,
I work on CE 7.2 SP03, while configuring SLD in the initial step I entered Object Server Name as "ABC.PQR.XYZ" which is my server name. But when I go and see in the technical setting it shows host name as "ABC" and its not showing full name.
    Please suggest.

    Hi Patana,
    please check this note:
#1172643 -- Error when setting the name of the SLD Object Server
    (http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1172643)
...this case, you must also refer to Note 935245. If you do not apply the patch, the valid value range is limited to letters, numbers and "_" (underscore), and the first character must not be a number.
(The note 935245 is under rework right now so you cannot access it, but I believe the above mentioned note answers the question.)

  • Can only view BW technical name in Crystal Reports

I am trying to report in Crystal against a BW query with 2 key figure structures. (i.e. rows & column)
If we connect using the recommended BW MDX Query driver the 2nd structure (row) returns as a single flat field (as expected)
In order to get round this I have tried connecting using the BW Query driver. This actually returns the above structure as separate fields. Perfect.
Unfortunately the 1st structure (column from the BW Query) only returns the concatenated technical field name in the field explorer, making it difficult to read. I have changed the view in the Database Options to description but this does nothing.
Any suggestions on how to bring through the field descriptions from BW?
    For info I am using:
    Crystal Reports 2008 SP3
SAP BO Integration Kit XI SP3
    BW 7.1 SP5 enhancement pack 1

    Hi,
the recommended approach is the BW MDX Driver and it works as you described it yourself.
the BW Query Driver has already been deprecated

  • Find technical name of receiving query in RSBBS assignment

    Dear Experts,
under transaction RSBBS one can assign sender/receiver details. While the technical name of both sender and receiver are entered when createing the RRI, one can only retrieve a compressed ID (i.e. 46F28FNV1L4H1QENI1KKEKWUCAZPAOPRD) for the receiver in transaction RSBBS.
We would like to find a way to determine the technical name of that particular compressed ID. I have already searched the RSBBS* tables, but I cannot get past the compressed ID (field RONAM) in i.e. table RSBBSQUERY
    My question:
    - Can you provide me a table/view/program/transaction/... that shows the relationship between senders and receivers by means of technical query names (not ID's)?
    - Or can you provide me (step-by-step) the relation between different tables and fields that would allow me to do so?
    Kind regards,
    PJ

    Hi Simon,
thank you for your reply. I have researched your proposal, and I can indeed find the relation between my sender query's technical name ZSENDERQUERY_Q001 and the field RSBBSQUERY-RONAM that looks like this: 46U5CEI2BU3U8P8GZOFWWN3GKAZSD_C03 (Mind the name of the infoprovider at the end!).
This information can also be retrieved from transaction RSBBS, where I can enter 1 senderquery's technical name, and which returns me the associated RSBBSQUERY-RONAM values in the column "Receiver Object". Your contribution allows me to create a view to get this information for multiple sender queries from different cubes.
However, I would like to go one step further. From this RSBBSQUERY-RONAM value I would like to get the target/receiving query's technical name that looks like this "ZRECEIVERQUERY_Q002".
This is my ultimate goal as I need to delete all obsolete queries from the BI system, and the associated jumpqueries. Creating a single list by means of a view would help me a lot.
    Kind regards,
    Pieter-Jan
