I've got exactly the same issue as the one described in the thread.
Technical objects required to be mandatory in service contract VA41
Unfortunately for me it has never been answered, and seems to be quite old now.
Does anybody knows how it could be set or developed?

Through standard configuration, it is not possible.  However, you can try with any of the following exits
USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP or
USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT
in the program MV45AFZZ where your technical team needs to validate those required fields as mandatory which is quite possible through coding.

  • Service Contract (VA41/VA42) Outbound IDOC Details

    Hi ,
    I have to send the changes in the Service contract from SAP to Third party system when ever contract is changed.I am able to send the IDOC with the output type KO00 and process code SD10 but it doesn't contain any contract details like start date and end date i.e the data from VEDA table.
    Please let me know is there any standard Process code available for this, otherwise i have to extend the standard ORDERS with the contract related fields.

    I would like to know how to get service contract from internal oredr number.
    From service contract we can find internal order number by using CRM_ORDER_READ function module- table et_document_flow, but my requirement is how to find service contract from Internal order number.Any function module or BAPI available for this requierement ?

    Hi,
      when the costs are transferred from CRM to R3, they are posted to an internal order. When a service order or incident is transferred to R3, we have to create an internal order for it, regardless of whether or not a contract has been assigned.
    This is all linked to the logic used in CO to find the appropriate internal order. It works as follows:
    The internal order is stored in the table IAOM_ASSIGNMENTS. This is accessed by a guid (the account assignment guid).
    To get this guid, there is a second table IAOM_EXT_OBJ_INF. This table links the GUIDs coming from CRM, dependent on the CO Customizing for CRM (Mass Controlling, Header level, item level controlling etc.)
    This is how we manage to link a service order to the internal order of a contract in the first place.
    When we call CO, CO first looks for an assignment for the object guid passed. If a service order has been linked to a contract, nothing will be found for the object guid. CO will then check for assignments to the reference guid and find the contract entry.
    If no contract has been assigned, CO will create an internal order based on the service order guid.
    From a CRM point of view, costs are assigned directly to an item, and so it makes no sense to have a reference guid for the costs or the possibility to change the guid via BADI.

    Use following steps for creating service contract.
    1] Use t-code <b>ME31K</b>
    2] Enter details like Vendor , Agreement type (MK) , Purch Orgn Purch.group.In the same , enter Item Category as "<b>D</b>" and respective account assignment category (K,F etc.)
    3]In second screen enter Validity period , then short text for the desired services.In next screen , enter Service details and proper account assnmnt

    嗯，读读同事的经验真的很有帮助，顺便上系统测试了一把，发现现在最新的版本可能还有一些新的变化，就是有条件的支持为服务合同或者报价单创建后续服务合同或者报价单，请感兴趣的朋友参考note 1405171，里面有比较详细的前提条件描述，和相关的coding。
    这里似乎还提到了一个ubb的概念，估计应该是usage base billing，如果说错了请多多包含，谢谢。

    Hi Zakaria,
    I know it is possible to make it compulsory when introducing a service material in the service contract. You should check transaction OISD. Here you should check fields RTYP (02) and ROBJ (02) .
    "The reference type determines whether you can or must specify a technical reference object when you create a service order automatically, or whether you can generate a service order without a technical reference object."

  • Swapping Technical Objects on Service Contract (VA42)

    I need to develop a funtion  that will swap Technical Objects on Contracts.  The reason for the change is a swap of equipment under warranty. 
    I have been looking at the IWOL function group trying to determine if the needed functions are there.  Has anyone else done this before?  If so, which BAPIs did you use to perfom this process?

    The main contract data is stored in VBAK/VBAP, that is correct. 
    I'm not sure of all of the tables associated with the Technical Object link.  Here's some that I've found in my search.
    EQUI, contains the equipment (technical objects)
    SER02, gives OBKNR(s) by sdaufnr(vbeln) and posnr.
    OBJK, gives SERNR(s) by OBKNR.
    There are probably more tables involved, I can't say for certain.  There must be another table that links EQUI-EQUNR with either SER02 or OBJK.
    Note: Just to clarify what it is I'm trying to do.  What I need to do is to add a new Technical Object to an existing Contract Line item.  And delete and existing Technical Object from an existing Contract Line item.

    creating functional location & equipments?Normally , we map moveable objects as equipment & non-
    moveable objects as functional location.What are the other criteria to address plant technical
    system using functional location & equipments?
    Also,in components tab of a maintenance order,how can we default component item category as "L"
    & a specific storage location " XXXX" in case of freely assigned material?What are the various

    many cases equipment BOM are not available.

    Hi,
    Default Item category can be defined at plant level.
    Maintenance & Service Processing => Maintenance & Service Order => General Data => Define Default value for component item categories
    There for the material type & plant combination, item category can be defined.
    Regarding technical object structuring:
    1. As refineries will be having very complex machinaries, sub equipments may be defined. In this case, client should be clear enough at what level they want to maintain the cost & maintenance history. If they want to maintain at main equipment level only, then you can create the sub equipments as object parts.
    2. If they have defined sub equipments, then Availability of the equipment should be arrived at properly. There will be some equipments, which got repaired will make either the superior equipment or sub equipment also in idle condition. That equipment cant be used for any purpose.
    Then while creating the notification for the equipment which got breakdown, notification should be created for the linked equipment either upwards or downwards, so that, if you want to see only the available equipment, you can see the exact list.

    In transaction PA30 there is a functionality called "services for object". I would like to have this functionality in the transaction EHSAMBTAET (Health Center Services) as well. At the moment when you choose it in the menu it just says: "No services available". Can anybody give me a hint on how to do this?

    As far as I know, that "Services for object" is the Global Object Services (GOS), and requires a Business Object (BOR).
    The Health Center Service doesnt currently provide such a BOR object.

    Since we are using 64 bit application the ASP.Net file needs to be forced to use 32 bit because RWD sometimes does not recognize the file during the installation process.
    1. Ensure the uPerform Website points to use port 80 and the Collaboration Server to use port 8080. This can be verified or change by executing the AuthenticationWizard.exe file located in: <InstallPath>\Collaboration\WWW\uPerformWS\ms
    -Click on Start u2013 verify or change the information as needed and ensure the Server DNS Hostname does not have 8080 at the end.
    2. Set the permissions to full rights for all users for the file RWD.uPerform.ServerConfiguration.DLL u2013 located in: <InstallPath>\Collaboration\WWW\uPerformWS\
    3. Delete the VCBS folders in
    <InstallPath>\Collaboration\webapps\
    Re-Start IIS
    Once is back up:
    -     Make sure Web Service Extensions is using ASP.NET v2.05727 (32-bit). Remove or prohibit any other ASP.NET.
    -     Make sure Jakarta Connector is set to allowed if not create a new connector to point to file <InstallPath>\Collaboration\JKConnect\bin\isapi_redirect-1.2.14.dll
    -     Make sure WebDAV is set to allowed
    Inside the websites (iis) right click on uPerform Collaboration and click on properties. Display the tab ISAPI Filters and make sure Jakarta is there and in black font. Any other color (RED) indicates is not connected and you need to delete it from the web services extensions and then add it back in this section u2026 same file location.
    Re-Start IIS
    Once is back up:
    Re-register ASP.NET by executing this file from the command line:
    C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\aspnet_regiis.exe u2013iru
    Once this is doneu2026 then do:
    C:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\aspnet_regiis.exe u2013ir
    Re-Start IIS
    Ensure the website is back up u2026 and continue with the configuration of the RWD uPerform Server.

  • Create contact on technical object??

    We are implementing SAP CRM 7.0 for a utilities company. Our client has the following requirement: They want to log contacts on technical objects, especially on an installation. This contact should not be linked to a business partner.
    A consultant from SAP told our client this would be new functionality in 7.0. We doubt this is standaard SAP functionality in 7.0.

    I would suggest you to go with the personal list for every user. User can prepare it by clicking on the icon and add that p
    particular entry in his personal list. Next time when ever he will press F4, system will show only personal list not the other
    entries. It is the sixth icon from left in the drop down list.

    As you have explained, that´s the case you sale material as equipment, but in our case we sale a service maintenance over a client equipment. Does not logical  create a serial number related to service material.
