Technical purchase question of getting a new iPhone 3Gs
I have the original iPhone with a normal plan (39 + 20 incl 200 SMS).
My goal is to upgrade to the 3GS and give mine to my wife.
So I need to get a family plan, add my data, her data and still hope to get the 200 SMS on hers, I need to get 200 for me for 5.-.
Can I do this by pre-ordering a phone online or do I need to wait and have this all arranged in the store?
You can pre-order and then when you go to the store to pickup, they can take care of all of that for you.

Apps can be re-downloaded for free (instrutions here : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519). Media (musiv, films, tv, tv shows) can only be downloaded once, which is why you are advised to make and maintain backups of your content, especially purchased content. If you purchased your phone directly from Apple, in the US, you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return it for a no questions asked refund. 14 days in the rest of the world. If you make an appointment at the genius bar, & the genius bar determines your phone is defective, they will replace it on the spot. Whether the replacement phone is new or refurbished cannot be determined, as all replacement phones come in a white box. However, given how new the iPhone 5C is, most likely the replacement will be new, & not refurbished. Those are your options.

You don't. Apple's warranty provides for replacing your device with an identical model (same model, carrier, capacity & color).
And you aren't getting a new iPhone. You'll be getting a remanufactured iPhone, which has gone through a more thorough inspection than any new iPhone ever does.
If you want a newer model, then trade-in or privately sell your current device and use the proceeds towards purchasing another device. -

If you had iCloud backup turned on, and it made a backup - yes. If you didn't have iCloud backup turned on - but were using iCloud for Contacts, calendars, etc. You will get the contacts and calendars, etc back.
Purchases made with your appleID can be redownloaded as long as they are still available in the iTunes store.
If you connected your phone to a computer with iTunes, there may be a backup on there as well. -
Exactly what the title says.
My unlock button got to the point where it does not work literally 80% of the time. I've dealt with it throughout the past couple of months and I've been too lazy to lazy to go to the apple store.
I was planning on visiting the apple store about this issue and I've been told that I would be able to receive a brand new iphone 5 as long as I'm still under the warranty. I purchased the iphone 5 last year sept 10 (pre-order) and got it on Sept 21 i think....so I'm not sure which date is when my warranty will be over.
Is it possible if I can get a new iphone 5 and trade that in + the difference of iphone 5 and 5s and receive the 5s?

That was money to they would give to me on a gift card towards the purchase of a new iPhone. The price of the new phone depends on whether you are eligible for an upgrade.
It has nothing to do with AppleCare and they will not upgrade you through AppleCare. You would need to get your iPhone repaired then have them inspect the repaired phone, make you an offer and give you a gift card. You also must use the gift card towards an iPhone and sign a contract when you get the new iPhone. -

When you get the new iPhone 5S they say it come with all the iWork apps for free install already. But if i restore from back-up from an old device which doesnt have any iWork apps would I still receive those iWork Apps?

Yes. The apps are not pre-installed, but rather you are prompted to download them the first time you launch the App Store in iOS 7:

After moving from Canada to the US, getting a new iPhone 5C, and restoring my backup from iCloud, I can't update my apps. I get an error message that my account is not valid in the Canadian App store and I must change to the US store. How do I do that?
Change here:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
You must have a verified billing address & be located in the country whose store you are trying to use. -
My iPhone was recently stolen and i had all my contact phone number which i need quite urgently on the spare android phone am using in the in, how do i get my contact list from my last back up on iTunes into my android phone in the meantime before i get a new iPhone?

Yes you can probably delete the 2 incomplete back ups they are unlikely to work.
However, I'd be inclined to back up to a computer as well and restore from there, if you are changing your phone. -
I have an iPhone 3gs and will be getting a new iPhone 4s. Once I have updated my existing 3gs with iCloud and backed up to my computer, will I be able to transfer my existing data to my new 4s using iCloud or will I need to do this from my iMac.
ThanksThe Apple genius at the Apple store told me this would work. It failed. Basically, updating your iPhone 3GS to iOS5 wipes your 3GS of its data so you can't really do this. Some data worked. Music, photos etc didn't work at all.
I suggest avoiding iCloud completely for a few weeks until Apple gets it working. -

If i order it on The first day of pre orders will i get it on the same day as the release in stores? I'm on an unlimited data plan with AT&T. Because the new iPhone will most likely have 4 g data will I loose the unlimited plan?
