What would cause the following behaviour on a speed tester?

Test run on several different servers 3 times each.
For the majority of the test it hovers around what BT's speedtester agrees with.
then at the end it jumps to 30-40Mbit or even in one case 90mBit at the end...
As I said I see this behaviour on several differnt servers multiple times each.
What is BT doing to make that happen?
This behaviour was not happening before I had speed toubles then when it started to happen my service started to degrade. So I can reasonalby deduce that what ever makes the speed test reading so weird is what is effecting my service (aprt form the shed load of other people on my exchange that is)
Download speedachieved during the test was - 81987 Kbps

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Start here, and reset your password, you will receive an email with your new password, then go to manage your account > Password and Security and change your security questions.
If that doesn't help you might try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support -

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.

Ok I am really a new user of Mac so here is my problem when I bring up Safari and I go over to the Help word on the top of the screen to find a question when I pick a question and the window comes up there is a blank window nothing is there the help boxes work on my other Apps so whats wrong. Help
Could you please give us a picture of what is going on. This is a picture of what the top of Safari looks like when I go to the Help menu. I typed in the word cache and a number of options appeared below. Is this not happening for you?

I desperately want an iPhone. Here in the UK the iPhone is available only on the O2 network, which has no reception in my house. I thought of a possible solution but wondering if it will work and what drawbacks might be - if I were to get the Skype app, could I then forward my iPhone calls to a Skype number on my way home, then use the phone via Skype over my wifi connection while I'm at home? Would I be able to receive SMS messages at home using this set up? And presumably I would pay the cost of every forwarded call?

I am in Reading and I use the Skype app at home (through BT broadband). I've got Skype set up so that it presents my mobile number when I make skype calls.
I can't 100% help you but:
If you have absolutely no signal in your house you won't get SMS messages but my experience (reception is variable in my house) is that SMS messages come through on very poor signal.
My expectation is that you will pay for the phone calls to be forwarded to skype and that they probably won't be included in the call bundle you get from O2 (so even if you get hundreds of minutes you'll pay for the forwarded calls to skype).
On the other hand, I can tell you for sure that the skype app works very well on the iPhone. I regularly use it to call the US and business contacts in Germany. Last week I was in Berlin and used free wi-fi in the hotel to call my wife's hotel in Cork - about 1p per minute instead of 35p to make a call and 18p for my wife's mobile to recieve on roaming charges. I would thoroughly recommend the skype app on the iPhone for overseas calls. -

Hi Karen,
It is simple.
Columns fill with text as the text becomes enough to spill over from the previous column. Below is an example. I have used a huge (6" botom margin setting to shorten the page to a reasonable length for a screen shot, and turned on Show layout and Show invisibles so the column boundaries and invisible characters can be seen. Here there's no text in column 3 as there is only enough text to fill column 1 and part of column 2.
As more text is added, it eventually fills column 2 and flows into column 3:
You can force the text into the next column by inserting a column break. Here, a column break has repalced the paragraph break in column 2 (after 'fascilisi."):

to use the USB Mic, be warned Logic can only use one Audio Device at a time, so if you use the USB Mic as Device, Logic will find no outputs. <G> You can work around this FRRREEEEEQUEENTLY asked question by establishing an aggregate device. Just to have you warned before The Aggregate Device must contain the USB Mic as input and your speakers (maybe the built in speakers of your mac) as output.
However, i would not recommend an USB Mic. Buy a decent 150$ Audio Interface and a 100$ SM58 instead, and you'll be happy for a mac's lifetime.

Continued..my security answers have been changed, I think ID hacked, email and sec answers changed. How do I delete it? By the way it is not this ID, I had to set up a new one to use this site....
Did he have find my iPhone enabled under that iCloud account? If so, add the account back to his phone. Then in the iCloud account settings, disable find my iPhone first (you will be prompted for your password), then remove the account.
Now you can create or add a new iCloud account to it using his own AppleID.
Alternatively, you could log in to your www.icloud.com account in a web browser. Using the find my iPhone app there, remove his iPhone from your list of associated devices (he will have to power his iPhone off for you to do that).
After his iPhone is set up for his own iCloud account, on your iPhone, go to
settings->iCoud->Storage & Backup->Manage Storage and delete his iPhone's backup file to make more room on your own iCloud storage account. -

continueously but when i removed it the onsync function was normal
and the app continued to work perfectly so i thought i would ask an
expert if there is any light you feel that is important to shed on

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.
