Where can I find Hardware(Linux/Unix/NT)Technical Requirements for installing 10g? I submitted this to the general forum before I realized there was an installation forum. Sorry for the cross-post. Thank you...

  • Technical Requirements for SD in ECC 6.0

    Hi All,
I need to document the technical requirements in ECC 6.0 implementation for SD Module.Kindly revert back with helpful answers.
    Thanks,
    Faisal

As per my understanding you require information on what Technical document might be required to be prepared by SD Consultant. If my understanding is correct, in that case we require to prepare Functional Specs for the enhncement & development required in the project.
    Functional Specs:
To speak at macro level that is at project manager or at senior levels. The Functional Spec (Specification) which is a comprehensive document is created after the (SRS) Software Requirements Document. It provides more details on selected items originally described in the Software Requirements Template. Elsewhere organizations combine these two documents into a single document.
The Functional Specification describes the features of the desired functionality. It describes the product's features as seen by the stake holders, and contains the technical information and the data needed for the design and development.
The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particular area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
The functional specification translates the Software Requirements template into a technical description which
    a) Ensures that the product feature requirements are correctly understood before moving into the next step that is technical development process.
    b) Clearly and unambiguously provides all the information necessary for the technical consultants to develop the objects.
At the consultant level the functional specs are prepared by functional consultants on any functionality for the purpose of getting the same functionality designed by the technical people as most of the times the functionalities according to the requirements of the clients are not available on ready made basis.
Let me throw some light on documentation which is prepared before and in a project:
    1) Templates
    2) Heat Analysis -
    3) Fit Gap or Gap Analysis
    4) Business Process Design
    5) Business Process Model
    6) Business Change & Impact
    7) Configuration Design, which is just 5 % of Total SAP- have different names -
    8) Future Impact & Change Assessment
    9) Functional Design (Module Wise)
    10) Risk Assessment
    11) Process Metrics and Many More-- Which has impact on Business and its work flow

  • Technical requirements for SAP E-rectruiment

    Hello,
    We are using 4.7 version.
We bought ECC 6.0 just a test server without portal facility  for practice. Now we require the portal access. Can anybody says that how we can get that from SAP, Our main purpose is to use E-recrutiment in Portal since we already have ECC 6.0. Now we would like to buy EP tool also, however we  need to give complete  technical requirements for E-recruitment tool implementations for approval.
    your information is highly appreciated.

    Hi Velu -
E-Sourcing technical consultants will require SQL skills if you are developing custom reports. The E-Sourcing query and reporting tools utilize "annotated" SQL statements the result in a SQL query being executed against the relational database. It is also useful for the report developer to have skills specific to the DBMS being used (for example, Oracle skills) - often times, using DBMS specific SQL constructs can provide improved reporting.
E-Sourcing has a feature called "scripting" that allows custom business logic to be included in the application and executed at various "call-out" points. The scripting feature provided by E-Sourcing uses a technology called BeanShell (see www.beanshell.org for more details on this technology). Beanshell development really requires strong programming skills using Java, although some components of BeanShell may be more like JavaScript. Regardless, I recommend Java expertise for writing E-Sourcing scripts. Knowledge of HTML is not required.
The E-Sourcing workflow capabilities also utilize BeanShell, so if you plan to implement any workflows, you will also require such technical skills.
Many other features of E-Sourcing such as user interface customization can be done with less technical individuals. Programming is not required.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Regards,
    Rob

    Hi,
For SAP Netweaver Products which includes Enterprise Portal, Business Intelligence and Process Integration you have to buy seperate license.
If you plan to use only E-Recruit then in ECC 6.0 you can install Enterprise Portal as Add-on Component, Generally Portal takes more system resources. If you plan to use only E-Recruit then performance will be fine.
    Hope it helps

  • CS4 technical requirements, help needed

I am a complete novice when it comes to stuff like this, so I apologise in advance if the question I'm about to ask may seem a bit stupid.
I saw the following technical requirements for Adobe CS4: 2GHz or faster processor for DV; 3.4GHz for HDV; dual 2.8GHz for HD
Do I need a dual core processor with at least 3.4 ghz to be able to edit HDV, or will a dual 2.8 Ghz meet all of those requirements? Essentially I am wondering if those technical requirements are in ascending order, or just specific to different tasks. Is it a matter of "the more cores the better", or do they have to have at least 3.4 GHz to be able to do the job?
There are 2 laptops I am looking at, at the moment.
    Sony FW51ZF
Intel Core 2 Duo processor T9600
    (2.80Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)
    ADVENT 8555 GX
    Intel Quad-Core processor Q9000
    (2Ghz, 1066Mhz, 6MB Cache)
Would these suit the requirements and if so, which one would be better?
I would greatly appreciate your responses.
    Konrad

Most of which are erroneous guesses.

  • Snow Leopard Technical Requirements - Minimum or Performance

I have an older Intel iMac - one of the original models. And I'm still running OS 10.4 because it's the only computer I have and everything I do on it still works. But there's been a lot of changes since my last OS upgrade and I was thinking of making the change.
Besides some of the issues I've seen posted, my main question is:
"Are the technical requirements listed minimum requirements or will any machine meeting those requirements run perfectly fine with the upgrade."
I don't want to get caught upgrading my OS only to find that to run it with any degree of quality performance, I would need a newer system.

Yes, 1 GB is the minimum, just like the specs for Snow Leopard say.
Obviously, Snow Leopard will perform more slowly on your Mac than on a newer & faster one. On any Mac, there will be an improvement in performance if it has more than the minimum required memory, but just how much depends on the number & type of apps running concurrently.
If you are concerned about performance, I suggest that you max out the RAM. At current US prices from a number of reputable only vendors, that will set you back about $60 for a pair of 1 GB modules.

  • Technical requirement's for ALE/Idoc

    Hi all,
    Am new for ALE/IDOC
we have requirement for ALE inbound and outbound scenarios ,
what are the mandatory requirements(port, partner profile, message type ..etc) from technical point of  view for Technical consultants,
    Regards
    Suresh.D

Here is the step-by-step configuration approach in ALE.
    - Create logical system (txn BD54)
    - Assign client to Logical system (txn SCC4)
    - Create RFC destination (txn SM59)
    - Generate ports (txn WE21)
    - Create partner profiles (txn WE20)
    - Create distribution model (txn BD64)
Now you can use the required transactions like BD10 (to send materials), BD12 (to send customers), BD14 (to send vendors)....which would create the IDocs. You can view the generated IDocs via txn WE02 as you note down the system time when the IDocs are generated. You can use txn BD87 too to trace the IDocs at the sender...
If idoc is in status 51 or 52 process by program RBDMANI2 or in transaction BD87, If idoc is in 64 status process the idoc by program RBDAPP01.

  • CRM technical requirements

    Hello Friends,
I have been working in SAP ABAP for last 2 years.
Now i am getting an opportunity to work as technical consultant for E-commerce project.
Could you please tell me the basic ABAP requirements for this SAP module.
If you can provide me relevant documents, it would be great.

    Sandeep
Nice to hear the News ! Good Opportunity for you . If you know Java, then you would get more Opportunity for more Contribution.
On the E-commerce Project, you should be expecting more Java Work than
the ABAP.  On the ABAP side, you can expect works on RFC, BAPIs and
       BAdis.
    Thanks

  • Graphical Business Blueprinting : Technical Requirements and Setup

    Dear All,
I am trying to use the Graphical Business Blueprint in Solution Manager 7.1
I followed the following steps in a bid to complete the product technical setup.
Installed the So-Co Add on using SAINT transaction. No special steps, just normal add-on installation.
Followed the steps in the setup guide for BPB (define logical ports, endpoints, services, aliases)
I am able to then load the http://hostname:port number/ebb/setup.asp web page to create a new workspace and thus create my own text file.
Then I install the BPBxxxx.exe client on my local machine, and am able to see my solution manager's name there, and log-in and validate my credentials.
However when I click on  "open existing business blueprint ", it just stays as is, no dialog box nothing.
In my Solution Manager 7.1, there is 1 project , which has business processes dragged from the Business Process Repository (BPR). (This is a sandbox system, in an isolated environment, not connected to any other system, hence no logical components are defined et all. )
Now is there a trick I am missing to view the project defined in Solution Manager system?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!
    Cheers!

    Hi,
For me, the issue I faced was that the service user assigned to the logical port (LP_SOCO_SOLAR) did not have the authorisation role SAP_SOL_KW_ALL at time of creation of the logical port. Adding it to the service user later on made no difference.
I created the logical port LP_SOCO_SOLAR with a service user with the following authorisation roles and associated profiles:
    /SOCO/FABRIC_ADMIN
    /SOCO/FABRIC_USER
    SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN
    SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONFIGURATOR
    SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_CONSUMER
    SAP_SOL_KW_ALL
    SAP_SOL_PROJ_ADMIN_ALL
    SAP_SOLAR01_ALL
    SAP_SOLAR02_ALL
I am now able to open the project list, access and edit the business blueprint for my implementation projects.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Patrick

  • Technical requirements of  Discovery box

    Hi,
I would like to know what are the s/w and communication requirement for implementing discovery box with enrichment controller.
What is the advantage of using GP instead of workflow,MDM
    Thanks for the response,
    -reo

    Hi Reo,
comparing GP with MDM workflow is probably a bit like comparing apples with pears. The MDM capabilities focus on executing tasks around master data management specifically.
GP is more suited for integrating activities from heterogenous systems into a single process flow with a harmonized user interface. The process can be about anything and does not need to be related to a specific system, use case or functionality.
    Does that make sense?
