Hi Raj,
I never com across Technical Specification peer review document, We develop TS for every interface which covers
1)Bussiness reuirement
2)Trchnical Description in deatil
3)Bussiness Flow
4)Source and Tget data fromats description
5)Mapping Logic
6)Which adapters are you going to use,ad you need to specify all obejcts required for this interface/developed for this interface
whick convers SLD,ESR,ID ...
fter completion of evry interface we updates the all deatils in TS,then we need to review the same TS.if anything misses of we need to document the same.May be you need to develop one template for to note down all review comments...

The Functional Specification defines what the functionality will be of a particulat area that is to be precise a transaction in SAP terminology.
The Functional Specification document to create a detailed design document that explains in detail how the software will be designed and developed.
    Technical Specification

  • Code Review in Technical Specifications

What is the Code Review in the technical Specification document.

    Hi,
Code review is done by the other member of the team member or by the onsite guy from the clien side or by team SQA.
Each company is having their own way of coding standards and naming conventions. the client always send one template for the same when the project starts.
The developer can not review his object and the third person like SQA of the team will review it and it will done in document which will be kept  for reference.
if any changes or comments made by the SQA, then the developer  will change the same again.
    hope this will help you.
    Thanks
    Shiva

  • CAF technical specification document

    Hi Gurus,
Could you please send CAF specification document, if you have any?. We need to prepare technical specification template for CAF .Can you please provide some direction to create it.
    Thanks,

If you look at the content under CAF Tutorial Center, you've got plenty Process Layer (CAf GP) and Service Layer (CAF Core) how-to guides that basically tell you how these technologies work.
But you need to understand them before putting together a technical spec. I expect SAP to provide such template. I've got one but cannot share it like that.
GP is the translation of a business process model into an executable one. So at the least you need a business process model see my blog https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/3995. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
Then you need to translate it in GP which is about  process, block, action, callable object, roles, parameters, ad-hoc, process flow...
for each callable object, which type UI or Service, then from here at this unit of work, it's typical tech specs (MVC, input/output/logic...)
For CAF Core, what are the Entity Services and the Application Services you need to create for GP to use

  • About documents in the peer review

    1. What are the documents involved in the peer review of the object?
    2. is there anything called quality check list using when we are doing peer review?
    3. what is the meaning of quality check list, what do u do with the quality check list?

    Do check the following things...
    1) There are coding standards in every project. Try to check all the coding standards in the code.
    2) see that no hard coding is done in the code.
3)Pls refer to an existing transaction code if you are making a module pool program.
    4) Always test the changes.
    5) If there are If & Else in program, make sure that you simulate conditions so that each line of code is executed at least once for testing.
    6) While writing selects try to see if indexes can be used
7)Quality checklist generally means following the standards as laid out by the client.
do an extended code review and try to remove as much extra things as possible.
    Reward if useful,
    Cheers,

  • Technical Specification for Enterprise Portal

Our EP consultant left without delivering Technical Specification. Now, we need to prepare this document mainly for handover to support team. Coming from BW background, I have little knowledge on what is expected in the document.
What I can think of at the moment are that we need to document the followings:
    1. Portal Content structure
    2. iViews Configuration
    3. Portal Display
Is there anything else missing? Or can someone share with me the structure of a complete Enterprise Portal Technical Specification?
    Thank you very much!

    Hi  M. Syuhair,
That's a rather unfortunate situation that you have walked into where the implementer has left without documentation.
I would start the document with a blueprint diagram of the platform landscape, with each of the logical instances purposes described. You should include the OS and DB versions and any specifics on security zoning you may have. Then move into a diagram for transport flows and description of the purpose of the Portal. i.e. used for BI and ESS/MSS scenarios.
Also I would describe the integration with the solution, how security is provided, what other components are integrated (i.e. document repositories), how transports are performed (CTS, NWDI etc) and what systems are connected and SLD connectivity. Also mention UWL and Adobe services if they are deployed and anything else that represents significant usage.
After this point you can dig deeper into the detail and provide a description of the details of the business packages with versions you have deployed to the portal (use the NWA to look up package versions if you donu2019t know this already) along with the name spaces and PCD hierarchy that has been chosen to ensure standards are followed during maintenance by the support team.
Remember your support staff should be starting with at a minimum a basic understanding of standard SAP Portal implementations so getting to the detail of how each iView is configured would be taking the document too far.
Your purpose of the document is in providing the framework for support to be able to know what standards they should follow and how to quickly find out the implementation specific details. This should be your objective.
Starting this from scratch without any portal experience is not advisable, I would suggest you engage another Portal consultant to perform the task as familiarity with the core solution is really a must.

    Daniel

  • Queries about ASAP, OOAD, technical specification

    Hi Experts,
    1. Difference between ASAP and OOAD methodologies? With respect to SAP XI project, which methodology could be applied to get good results? Please explain about each, if we can apply both methodologies to XI projects. In real time which methodology is advised to follow.
    2. In real time XI project, what sort of quality check/s can be performed on the developed interfaces? It would be great, if any checklist is provided.. before proceeding from Development to QA box.
    3. Please clarify about the Technical specification, Functional specification..
-- Each business requirement have specific Functional specification document.
-- Each Functional specification have specific Technical specification etc..
for example, if we have 2 business requirements.. then 2 Functional specs and 2 Technical specs need to be created?
Can some one please clarify my queries?
    Thanks in advance
    ..Shriya

    Hi,
    >>>>1. Difference between ASAP and OOAD methodologies
sap delivers only ASAP for XI: http://service.sap.com/asap then ASAP for XI link
    >>>>3. Please clarify about the Technical specification, Functional specification
funcitonal - what you need to send - for example orders etc what kind of fileds etc..
technical - what kind of adapter and it's configuration can you use

  • Industry standard to represent technical specification of forms, conf objetc

    Hello Everyone,
I am in a process of creating design document for a Sun IdM project. I was wondering, is there any way to represent Form, taskdefinition etc in the document as we represent in JAVA, sth like Class diagram.
Is there any industry standard to represent technical specification for these things.
Any pointers would be of great help.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

No as you have phrased the question. WebEx provides this functionality and that is the route you should be taking if this is a feature requirement.
If you are opposed to WebEx or require an on-premise solution, you may want to evaluate Cisco Unified Video Conferencing Manger (CUVC Manager) and it's desktop solution.

  • A technical specification for MC007ZE/A

    Hello!
Let me know can I get a technical specification for MC007ZE/A. Our organization is going to buy a big batch of these displays. For this we need a technical specification. I've found out this document http://manuals.info.apple.com/MANUALS/1000/MA1554/en_US/LED_Cinema_Display_27-in ch_UG.pdf but it does't containt the number 'MC007ZE/A'. This paper formality associated with the features of our supplier.

Click here for information; the ZE and LL are country codes which don't affect the model's specifications.
