Technically Completion Date in Future

Hi All,
Any idea why SAP has provided an option to enter/allow the technically completion date for maintenance orders and notifications in future.
How to restict this?

After replying as above, I spent some time to search for solutions, to convey to you.
Without detailing much I'll convey my observations so far.
System message in this area (IM) I could not have a control. (Configuration)
Even I tried via User-Exit too, here also things could not work, with several other observations.
So i thought I should update you. In case any outcome I'll update.
Secondly, I'll give how my system has it presently.
In Notification I am unable to Save in future date (24hrs after current time) throwing IM464 error.
But in Order it is successfully TECOed.
Strange thing is both field names (Reference Date) are same (RIW01-BEZDT).
So at present I consider this area is not properly lined-up.
Few SAP notes are also available on message no. IM464.

Hi,
My client has two requirements
1- In standard, system allows us to take technical completion on previous date, how should I restrict / stop this completion in past? Could I set technical completion possible after atleast 1 month?
2- Can I stop technical completion before goods movement or set error message while technical completion before goods movements?

For both of the above requirement you can use the user exit IWO10004 Maintenance order: Customer check for order completion
You have develop a logic on what basis you have to reject the TECO of the order, please consult your ABAPer and discuss with him for more clarification on this.

PP - PI Process order - Technical complete problem

Hi Gurus,
I have created process order and generate Cont.recepie. Then I tecnical complete my PI sheet after report data. when i set technical complete in my process order. system says "It cannot be technical completed because status "CRCR" Contrl recepie created". How i can set status technical complete to my proc.order.

Hi,
Inorder to TECO or close your order first you have to close the Control Recipe. To do so follow the steps:
1. TCode: CO57
     Proc.Message Cat: PI_CRST (Message on control recipe status)
     Process Order Number
     Control Recipe Number
     Control Recipe Status: 00005 or 00004 or 00007
     After these entries save the Process Message.
2. TCode C054
    Here send the Process message that was created in the above step.
If the message is successful, the status in the order changes from CRCR to either CRAB (if control recipe discarded), CRFI.
Then you can close your order.

Query not showing complete data

Hi,
I faced this issue many times. Original query is not showing complete data but when I create a new query with same rows, columns and filters it gives correct data. Do anybody have any idea what can be the problem?

Below is the checklist :
1. Make sure you have same number of filters/ restrictions in both the queries.
2. Make sure you are not using any authorisation object.
3. Make sure the technical names of the objects you are using in the query are name.
4. Make sure both the queries are on the same multiprovider.
5. Make sure both are of same version.
These are very basic things, I assume you must have done. But these are the only possibilities I could think of.
If this is fine, then as suggested by Raman you can add one object each time in both the queries and test the output. You might get some clue.

Completion date for notification, IW22

when i tried to set the completion date for a notification through IW22 am not able to view the completion date and completion time inputs in the popup screen, only reference date and reference time is showing
can this be due any status set to that notification

since am a technical person am not that much aware of the entire process.since i dont have internet in our office i cant send u the screen shots also

1.when i go to iw22 try to set the complete status by clickin on the flag for some cases it is showin the completion date and for some case it is not, we are asked to check for it

Technical master data replication error

Dear Experts,
I am facing a problem with the TECHNICAL MASTER DATA replication from ISU TO CRM, Problem is I have completed the initial load of the TECHNICAL MASTER DATA load is sucessfull issue is when i am creating the NEW TECHNICAL MASTER DATA like connection object and premise they are not moving to CRM immediately every time i am doing the request load or initial load by putting the filters could you please tell me how to solve this issue.

Hi,
Sometimes, the data can get stuck in the queues. So you need to check on it as well.
After creating the technical master data, please check whether it exist in ISU system.
Then you can check the SMQ1(Outbound queue) in ISU.
Then you can check the SMQ2 (Inbound queue) in CRM.
Also in Tcode SMW01 ( BDoc message) in CRM.

Completion Date in Reminders

Is there a way to change the date of completion in Reminders? I am trying to track tasks completed by day, but forgot to check the box until the day after. The task now shows on the Completed list for the current day, and dragging from the Completed list does not allow movement to another day (only back to Reminders).

You can use the BAPI 'BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' for technical complete of service order.
Pass below parameters as input.
IT_METHODS :
Populate the values to methods
wa_methods-refnumber = '00001'.
wa_methods-objecttype = ''HEADER'.
wa_methods-method = ''TECHNICALCOMPLETE'
wa_methods-objectkey = v_aufnr. "Order number
APPEND wa_methods TO it_methods.
CLEAR : wa_methods.
Populate the values to methods
wa_methods-refnumber ='00001'.
wa_methods-objecttype = space.
wa_methods-method = 'SAVE'.
wa_methods-objectkey = v_aufnr. "Order number
APPEND wa_methods TO it_methods.
Afetr calling this BAPi call BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit the chnages to data base.

Manual Technical completion of Calibration Order

Hi,
When I schedule planned calibration order, record results and as soon as when I take usage decision, order becomes technically completed automatically and takes reference date as planned date that is shown on IP10 against each call.
Is there any possibility to take technically completion manually, specially for calibration order (Order type PM05)?
Or Is it possible to set default reference date exactly on the date when I perform or take usage decision?

This is because automatic Technical Completion of Maintenance Order has been configured in your system. To Change it follow the path as specified below:
SPRO>Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Completion>Define Follow up Actions
In follow up actions select QM_PM and double click on Function Modules. Now Uncheck the Sync Update and the AfterPosting Indicator to manually Complete the Order.
For the reference date to be derived from Usage Decision Date, the following user exit IWO10004 might be helpful in catering your requirement.

Not able to get complete data in Heading of the smarform

Also, check where the window is placed in the Form Painter...may be it is not on the page properly..and also check the size of the window..
Further, check the paragraph format that is used.

Complete data not getting returned when running IIS (v7.5) commands remotely.

What I have been able to figure out is that it returns complete data for the Default Website and then throws the error. Tried the same command on another server running 2 websites (both in started state) and same results :(
Question 2: When the same command "Get-Website" is run locally on the server then only 5 columns show by default; Name, ID, State, Physical Path & Bindings. Why then the command when run remotely returns slightly
more data?
PS: I have Win7 x64 on my desktop. Tried the commands from x86 as well as x64 shells and same results.

When I use Enter-PSSession, it works in the same manner as if the command is run locally. Hence the same output as local.
I am not sure of the exact way to use [Reflection.Assembly]::LoadFile('C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\Microsoft.Web.Administration.dll')
I tried this and get an error:

Complete data is not getting downloaded in XL

We have developed one Z report to take the status of open purchase order for projects. While downloading it to XL (ofiice 2007 installed on PC), complete data is not getting downloaded.
I would like to know whether it is XL problem or it is some bug in the report itself.
Pl. help.

While downloading the data to excel , try the following option
List -- > Export -- > Spreadsheet -- > Excel(in MHTML Format).
The download will authormatically open in excel window. Save it as excel file

You can use Acceptance field at Sales Order item to enter date on which final delivery is made.
Based on that field, we can create a Z report lisitng Customer, Order Number, and Delivery Date (Maybe more fields based on the business scenario)

How to get the complete data from Webdynpro using a RFC

hi guys,
A form is created in the webdynpro, when that pdf form is called the user have to provide the key field ie the employee number in the form and then when he press the 'go' button a rfc is called and it gives all the details of the employee in the form. Then the user have to input some fields in the form and he have press the submit button. My problem is here, when the user is going to press the submit button that form will be converted to a stream (binary) of data and it is sent to one of the import parameter used in the RFC.
I have created a RFC and created a import parameter of data type XSTRING, since i want to see what exactly R3 is receiving from web dynpro i am writing this contant in the sever as a text file. When i saw that text file i cant see the complete data.
And when i searched in R3 the capacity of xstring is 1024 CHAR, so i dont know how to capture the entire data from webdynpro into my R3.
I give the code what i worte please tell me am i missing anything in my code, or is there any data type which can hold more than 500kb of data which is coming from webdynpro.

You have to convert your long string to a table of shorter strings.
There may be other ways, but one possibility is to use a loop to process you string.
while (there is something left)
   put the next e.g. 1024 characters in a new row of your table
endwhile
If you need to reconstruct your string from the table, don't use simple concatenation since it will remove blanks at the end of lines. Believe me (from experience) sooner or later this will happen.
Instead you need to either set the subsections of your long string, or insert from the end of your table and keep shifting the contents (probably less efficient) right
