Teclado SMK LINK en Numbers

Buenas noches,
quisiera saber si alguien sabe como lograr configurar en Numbers para que el teclado bluetooh SMK LINK modelo VP6273 envie una coma decimal a Numbers y no un punto, es decir cuando intento ingresar por ejemplo: 32,25 me ingresa en Numbers 32.25 y no lo reconoce como numero sino como texto ante lo cual no puedo obtener operaciones matematicas de ningun tipo, comento que he intentado desde preferencias del sistema -> idioma y texto y no he logrado nada, cabe destacar que en Excel para Mac y la Calculadora de Mac OS funcionan a la perfección con este teclado, otra cosa: si ingreso el numero con la coma del teclado de la MacBook Pro funciona todo a la perfeccion.

In Numbers the numbers in column A were written with keyboard SMK-LINK and column B with the MBP keyboard in Excel Column A keyboard entry SMK-LINK
It appears that in your region, the decimal separator is a comma, and not a period (sometimes called a full stop). For larger numbers, that likely means your thousands separator is a period, and in formulas, arguments are separated by semi-colons (;) rather than comas.
That would explain Numbers not recognizing 32.25 as a number value.
The ! sign in the Excel screen shot is a warning the A3, included in the SUM function, does not contain a number. That will generate a warning, but will not affect the result.
ACTION: Enter your numbers using , as the decimal separator.

Tonight, I was making an address list of Club Members, using NUMBERS, instead of a DATABASE. In one of the columns I was entering their E-mail addresses. Even before I finished typing the address, the Apple Mail opened up and was waiting for me the verify the address. It seems there is some kind of a link between Numbers and Mail.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Open your address book and drag a whole group into a blank space on a numbers sheet.
You will get Last Name, First Name, phone number and email address already in a table. Just add anything else you require.

In Numbers I have not been able to find the feature there is in Excel to copy and paste a function in one document (not only the value) to another. In Excel you copy the cell in Doc 1 and use "Paste Special" & "Paste Link" to transfer it to a cell in Doc 2. Is this possible in Numbers?

You can copy and paste a function to a separate document by selecting the cell, copying the function from the formula bar (above the document), then pasting that into the cell in the second document.
But you seem to be talking about establishing a link between the two documents. Numbers does not support links to external documents.

Table links in Numbers

Hello, I'm trying to match the variable results from a column in one table to respective cells in a list in a different table. Is this possible in Numbers? Example: test results matched to a list of students, both in separate tables.

Thank you for addressing my questions. Here is what I'm trying to do:
There is a source table featuring different projects and criteria for evaluation. The criteria define the rows and each project is a column. The table consists of 8 rows—two header rows, 4 criteria, a total, and a corresponding letter grade at the bottom. Column B is for the weight for each criterion. Cells B3:B6 are for the criteria %s. C3:X3 ("X" depending on the project number) are for the grade as a percentage of the first criterion weight %. The same is the case with the other consecutive rows per project. Once each cell representing a % grade per project, baed on a criterion is populated, row 7 is for the totals for each project and row 8 converts the %s into letter grades referring to an outside table, matching % and letter grades. I got all this to work.
The problem is to have the data generated by this source table to appear for each student in a separate target table featuring a list of all students. Here, the rows are for student names and columns represent again each project. I want to have the data from the source table (the % totals from row 7) described above to populate the row for each student in the target table. Currently when I do this, of course, the last entered data in the source table changes what I entered for the previous student. I'm not sure if such functionality is at all possible in Numbers, where the same source table can be used to populate different cells without losing already populated data. I've been thinking about linking the source table in such a way that it only corresponds to the specified target, and by selecting the target row (student name) clears to 0 values, populates the target cell/row and the already populated data is preserved. In other words, could the source table be somehow tagged for each student in the target table. Hope this makes sense.

Adding a document link to Numbers

I'd like to use a column in a Numbers file to add links to associated documents. I can't find any reference to this in the Numbers Help file - is this possible?

Many thanks Wayne for this suggestion, it's the answer I want. I've followed this in a slightly different way.
I was already using Apache on my Mac to mirror some websites for which I had been producing Perl CGI scripts. I have MAMP Pro which allows me to set up a host file so that I can access the website on my Mac using a pseudo name, and it takes care of starting up Apache. It was a simple matter of putting all the files I wanted to link to in Numbers in the same folder then give it a simple name in my hosts file to use in the link.
I should have thought of this before!

Linking a numbers spreadsheet in a keynote page

I created and saved a spreadsheet in Numbers.
I copy a portion of a spreadsheet in numbers.
I then paste it on a page in Keynote.
I save the Keynote file.
I then make changes in Numbers.
The changes do not show in Keynote.
There is no REFRESH button anywhere in keynote.
Event when i select the linked spreadsheet in keynote.

Thanks Michael. I am finding this really hard to explain even though it's so simple. I have my passwords on a numbers spreadsheet. I password protected it. Every time I try to open it on my macbook it asks for a password. This is what I want. I open it, I update it. I close it, I want to update it again, it asks for the password again, I input the password, I update the sheet, I close it. I dont close it by opening another sheet or not worrying about it because my laptop is password protected, I hit the "X" in the top rught hand corner and close it.
Now, on my ipad I cannot do the equivlemt of clicking on the "X" in the top right hand corner as the "X" does not appear on Numbers on the iPad?
That is my question, not how to mask it by opening another sheet or looking for a work around like password protecting the iPad so it doesn't matter that the spreadsheet is still open. Just, how do I Close (X out) of a Numbers spreadsheet when it's open in my iPad?
I would really appreciate anyone helping me on this and thank you to the 2 people who have tried.

Dynamically linking a Numbers graph into Pages document

I want to creat a Pages 5.2 document that uses a graph made in Numbers 3.1 -- I see that the older versions of iWork allow for this. Can anyone help me do this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks Tom.

The Link feature is gone. You can use the old version and have the feature you miss, or you can soldier on with the new one. Numbers is still the best place to build and edit Charts. Once you have Pasted the Chert into Pages, you can activate the chart and click on Edit Chart Data to expose the underlying table. Then you can Paste the new data, copied from Numbers, to update the Pages chart.

Keynote diagrams don't link with numbers anymore?

I upgraded to Mavericks today and with that I updated Keynote and Numbers.
I have a keynote presentation that I use a lot with diagrams in it.
The diagrams are linked to a numbers file. When I change the data in the numbers spreadsheet I used to be able to update the diagrams in Keynote so they would match de data in de spreadsheet.
It seems like Apple removed this functionality. At least I can't make it work anymore...
Can anyone help me? I really need this to work for a presentation I have to give next week..
Otherwise I have to downgrade but I don't know if that's even possible.

I am guessing here but I suspect that option has been removed as Apple have discontimued iWem and dont want to provide an iWeb function.
Im unable to comment on HTML export as its working for me, but I have not upgraded to the latest version due to the amount of problems it is causing users.

IPad safari showing automatic link on numbers

There are few website like my cellphone service provider who lists out the phone numbers that I have under my login id and on click takes to a particular details page.
However when same is accessed via iPad those numbers will become a link clicking on which shows two option to create new contact or add to existing contact. And hence will not allow performing actual action that is to navigate to a different page.
Please let me know if there is any way to get rid of this.

Finding Tables needed for linking Batch Numbers/Items to Invoice Items

I'm trying to create a report that will show basically a Sales Invoice and under each line Item show the Items with thier batch numbers that went into that sales Item. My difficulty is in finding the table or tables that have key fields to relate Invoice to Batches and inventory. Looking at forms/reports in B1 I have found RBTN OBTN and RITL tables but only the OBTN shows in the crystal as a datatable.

Parts list: Link numbers in list

I work a lot with parts lists and I need to know if it is possible to link the numbers in a numbered list to the callout over the illustration.
Lets say that I have a numbered list:
Head
Arm
Body
Foot
Then I need to update the list with one part:
Head
Eye
Arm
Body
Foot
Is it possible to make the callouts update and increment one step after no.2? Or do you have any other tips on how to work with parts lists. One other thing is that I need to be able to have multiple copies of one callout, e.g. if you have multiple views of the head there should be a no.1 callout pointing at all the views of the head.
I'm using Indesign CS5.5

If I have multiple callouts that represents the same part (1. Head) and that part number change in my parts list, I need all the callouts with the number of "1" to change to "2". Like the image below.
I have some trouble to explain it since English is not my first language.

How to open files from web links in safari

II can't figure out to get a file downloaded from a web link into numbers, pages, etc.

I think the App that uses the files must have its own web access to be able to download. Perhaps another App that has web download capability can act as an intermediary using the "Open In" option.
One candidate might be GoodReader. It has some web download and file transfer capability, and does have the Open In option. However, it apparently must be able to read a file before you can get to the Open In option.
Another approach is to use iTunes on your computer. With the iPad connected to the computer, run iTunes and select the iPad under DEVICES. Click on Apps at the top of the window and scroll down to File Transfer. If an App appears there, data files can be synced to it by selecting it and dropping the files in a folder in the right hand window.

Hyperlinks from Numbers open incorrectly

In Numbers' document I define a hyperlink to a csv file. That link opens in Safari (my default browser) as a text web page. So I have to save it as a file, then go and open that file manually in Numbers (and still later manually delete that file to avoid the disk clutter) . This is unacceptable, Firefox for example gives me an option of directly opening that link in Numbers (saves it in temp directory, and tells Numbers to open it).
So how do i get the Safari to do that?

The idea here is this. My Numbers' document contains some stock symbols and the hyperlink to Yahoo to download a csv file with the latest prices. The idea was, click on the hyperlink which will open in a browser which will in turn download the file and automatically open it in Numbers so I can paste the most recent numbers back into my original worksheet. This is how Firefox works but not Safari.

if you want select blob from your table you must always download it to some directory on server in sql/plsql way
or if you use, as example, c#client then you can download it as byte stream to client side
if you use bfile then your file stored on some server directory and you can work with by ftp, http as for ebs sample
so in this case you can't have problem with attachment, you can use url+filename in your report

Import of bulk serial numbers with Goods Receipt

Hello
I need to create an Add-On that automates the creation of Goods Receipt PO documents with linked serial numbers. Using the DI API I manage to create the Goods Receipt and link about 1000 serial numbers to one document without any problems. When the item qty (and linked serial number qty) goes beyond 10,000 it crashes (probably runs out of memory).
I know an alternative would be possibly using the DI Server. Has anyone ever done this with such big volumes? Not sure if the DI Server would be able to handle say 100,000 serial numbers, at a time.
Any advice is appreciated.

This is not good news. I am just concerned as the SDK help on DI Server specifically states:
"Business partners can use the DI Server for the following main scenarios:
==>> Heavy duty operations, such as batch"
I assume this is the same type of "heavy duty operation" as a data take-on would be? Or does it mean that B1's serial number management is limited to small quantities at a time.
