Tecra 8000 screen goes green

I've got a Tecra 8000 running Win2000 with the latest drivers/bios, etc. It runs fine and everything, but has this peculiar problem. When first booting up, the display comes out fine, but then gets a green tint to everything. I can fix this by going into hibernate (or suspend) and turning the machine back on (out of hibernation).
Likewise, if I run an app that changes res and goes to full screen (ie: MAME) the screen will go back to a green tint again, and won't go back to normal unless I hibernate->turn back on. Any ideas?

Did you try to connect the external monitor?
If not try to connect the external monitor and check if this issue also happens on the second monitor.
If not so I assume there is only something wrong with the display on the notebook but if this issue appears also on the external monitor so there could be a graphic card malfunction or also something wrong on the motherboard.
Unfortunately I don't think that you can solve without any professional help.
You should contact the Toshiba service partner in your country.
Explain him the situation.

Tecra 8100: screen goes blank

Several of my Tecra 8100s have a problem with the screen going blank. They can be fine for ages or it can happen 3/4 times in a minute. Anyone know what the problem is and/or know how to fix it? Doesn't seem to matter how much ram there is or how big the hard drive is it still happens. At the moment all I can do is press the screen button or close/open the LCD lid.

I can not be sure if this is correct answer or not. But my Tecra 8100 was giving the same problem. Screen used to become so dim as if it had gone blank. And this would happen just about any time(many times in a day or not for weeks). Then all I could do was - hit the power button. Then one day it went blank and did not come ON only for 1 month. I showed it to a service guy and he said it was BIOS problem. He installed the updated BIOS and I did not have that problem for over a year now.
But again, I am no expert so sombody pls reconsider my suggestion.

Screen goes green and crashes when watching videos

While watching videos, my video keeps crashing and the screen is going green. The sound is also not working, does anyone know hot to fix it, or will I have to book an appointment with the genius bar

Hi i cant view my videos properly i bought them a few years now and have bought a new mac this time last year, but when i try and view any of my videos i bought the screen is all fuzzy and flicks onto green and slows down?? help

Screen goes green when looking at videos

If I try to watch videos on net flix or facebook yahoo,the screen is a delightful green could someone help me figure out what this is?

Hi,
If you're using Internet Explorer, try the following.
Open an Internet Explorer window.
Hold down the alt key and press x, then select Internet Options.
Select the Advanced tab, enter a tick in the box next to 'Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering', then click Apply and Ok to save this change.
Close all open Internet Explorer windows, then open it again and try playing a video.

Screen goes green with all video's, even Netflix

Everytime I try to watch a video on my laptop, whether it is on Facebook or through Netflix all I get is a green screen. But somehow i stil get the volume, just no picture, how can I fix this?

My iPhone 6 screen goes green while watching videos. Anybody else have this issue?

WWhy while watching videos does the screen on my iPhone 6 go green. I'm at IOS 8.1.1 I've turned it on and off and tried the reboot.

Blackberry torch screen goes green and pink when it is slid up..

my phone has been working for the past year fine, today i was walking and recieved a message, i slid the phone up to type my password in and the screen went multicoloured and froze, i then took the battery out and waited 15 - 20 seconds before re-inserting the batter and left it to power up, once it powered up i slid it up again and the screen is still not right, i have done a 'master reset' to see if anything changes and it is still the same..

The first thing to do is a battery pull. Since you've done that to no avail, let's jump right to an OS reload. Plug your phone in to your PC and open BlackBerry Desktop Software. Click Device at the top of the software then Update. If it shows a newer version and you want it, load that one. If it says you're up to date, click View Other Versions and pick the one with Currently Installed beside it.
If that doesn't work, you'd be best to talk to T-Mobile about warranty work or exchange.

STB resets constantly - screen goes green then box shuts off, resets

I have followed the self-help to reset the box, had the live chat guy reset the box, and tried everything suggested on these forums. I am paying a ton of money for a tv service that shuts off over and over again and resets the box, telling me to wait for "a minute" while it downloads. I can't get through a single television show. I tried to call Verizon by phone to get a service person, but wasted my time repeating misunderstood phrases back to a robot.
Very frustrated. Any help?

If i go to high res (720p or higher) my screen turns green and the video fast forwards to the end.

I have windows 7 64 bit and use mozila firefox 15.0.1
I have got the problem that when i select higher resolution in videos (such as on youtube) that at 480p it will run for a while but then just stops even though the buffering is already complete.
If i go to higher resolutions like 720p or 1080p the video will run for a while again but then the screen goes green and the movie fast forwards to the end preventing me to watch movies without problems at higher res.

Could you try temporarily disabling protected mode to see if that makes a difference (instructions towards the bottom of the FAQ linked below)? I'll circle back with our video team to see if they've made any progress with this issue.

Camera On My Blackberry Goes Green When Taking A Picture

Okay So I try to take a picture on my phone, and you can see fine, the camera works and you see everything through it but when I take a picture it takes a long time to load and then it shows that it took the picture but when it is going to save my screen goes green.
Has this happened to anyone? Can someone help me please?

I am having the same problem. My camera worked fine since I had it, then suddenly the same green screen every time the picture saves. I have no memory problems with my phone and have no downloaded any new apps.
***Update***
Don't know if this was the problem or not, but I recently removed some unwanted programs from my phone. A free hangman game as well as some others (All free games downloaded from the bb app store). They were removed after I found out my phone camera wasn't working for other reasons. I just checked my camera again to show my wife the prob and now it works!

Flash player goes green and crackling

For the last couple of months any time i use the flash player for anything after either a few mins or even a few seconds the video stops, the timer on the bottom starts fast forwarding and the screen goes green. All you can hear then is a crackling sound.
I have then most up to date version of flash player the v 17, i'm using firefox - although i've tried to use internet explorer to see if there was a difference and the same thing has happened. I've tried to do all the steps in the adobe list (disabling hardware acc etc.) but it still happens and i've updated all my drivers. I'm currently using windows 8.1
Any suggestions would be great as its getting very frustrating not being able to watch anything!

This is most likely a bug in the GPU drivers. You'll need to disable hardware acceleration to work around the issue until a patch becomes available from the GPU vendor.

Screen goes multicolors at startup

Hi everybody !
I have a problem with an iBook G4 1,42 GHZ.
When I start it up the screen goes green, red, blue, red and grey alternatively. This happens just after the the grey apple and just before the blue screen with the loading bar.
I've tried everything such as reseting the PRAM, PMU, I started with the DVD, etc etc.
When I start the ibook with the DVD, I have a normal image on the screen but it is not perfect.
Can somebody help me ?

Same problem here; the odd thing is, if you plug-in an external monitor, the external monitor displays perfectly. You can operate menus, launch apps, do whatever you like - all the while, the iBook's display continues to cycle thru colors as you describe. (Mirror has to be on, of course.)
The other thing I noticed here, is that this iBook seems to be sensitive to a little pressure, just left of the trackpad. It takes a second, but sometimes the screen will spring to life, at least momentarily. So, I'm guessing it's the LVDS (data) cable - my best guess, at least. Anybody else?

Screen resolution on my Tecra 8000

Ok..
I have a toshiba tecra 8000 laptop with windows xp.
The pc started with 800 x 600 the wrong resolution (i had black spaces beside my screen, all sides) so i turned it in windows to 1024 x 768 whitch works perfect. Now the screen is fully filled with urz.. screen :)
But...
It only seems to be changed in windows. When i start a game or some other program it starts in a small 800 x 600 (?) or some other resolution and leaves black spaces. When i start the laptop the resolution is also wrong (u see the dos (?) tekst starting somewhere close to the middle of the screen) its only changed in windows :(
how can i solve this problem (if it has something to do with the bios or something... hope you can tell me how to solve this problem!
