Tecra A11-17V can't connect to WLan

I have a Tecra A11-17V 15.6 inches and the problemis that i cant get WLan conection at home.
With all other devices I come in my WLAN and the Tecra also in others, but not in mine.
It is a WPA2-PSK with AES and 128-bit encryption.
What can be causing this?

Is it not possible with this settings?
Obviously your WLan router encryption settings are not supported by the WLan card and therefore you have to change the encryption!
As suggested by Jeffrey; try another settings.
For example:
Network Authentication: WPA2-PSK
WPA Encryption: TKIP
Encryption Strength: 64-bit

Can't connect to WLAN with Nokia E71x

I have Nokia E71x and I can't connect to home WLAN, on screen it says that routher is found but when I wan't to go to Internet trough WLAN (Start web browsing ) it says WLAN: Unable to connect, Invailed WPA pre-shared key. Need help.

Check the router if you have set a password or any changes that you have made on it. This is because if your router is a secured connection (asking for a code or password), you have to make sure that you have entered the correct password.

Can't connect to wlan

Hi everybody,
for some reason my MacPro won't connect to my home network, a dsl wlan. I have 2 iPhones in there, one AppleTV, my MacbookPro, my wife's MBP, an AirPortExtreme and an AirportExpress, all doing fine (exept my wife's MBP wich gets kicked out of the network constantly, but disabling and reenabling wifi solves the problem.).
So the network is ok. My MacPro connects to my MBP with direct c2c-network, and it connects to my iPhone via personal hotspot. So the MacPros wifi works fine as well.
Only I can't get it to connect to my wlan. We changed provider a while ago, 2 months approx., at the beginning it worked, not well, got kicked out all the time, but ist worked. Now it tells me something like (I have to translate, so never mind the exact wording in english) "can't connect because of timed out". Something of the kind.
Now I tried to erase the keychain for the wlan-password, didn't change a thing.
I took out one of the devices of the network, the airport express, didn't change either.
I saw though that my MacPro does not have an IP address. I don't know how I can tell it to have one... this might be the problem's solution.
Anyone an idea? Anyone who had this problem before? With the old provider (and wlan router) everything was ok.
The router is a fritz box, the provider is m-net.de

I can't see any. I just compared with my MacBook, where it shows, but on my MacPro there is none. No IP, no IPv4 or IPv6. Strange.
Since I'm in this home network, I suppose the addresses are assigned by the router, could this be right? Only on the router's software interface - which I access via browser and my MacBook, there is no possibility to activate a new device or anything of the kind.

When the phone says "Hidden WLAN", that generally means it didn't find any WLAN networks. When was the last time you used WiFi successfully on your E75? If you are sure one or more WiFi networks are available but the phone isn't finding them, I am concerned the WiFi antenna or electronics could be faulty.
Suggestion: can you visit a friend, Internet Cafe, or elsewhere where a knowledgeable person can give you all the settings to configure a WiFi connection manually and also possibly some technical support? Try a manual setup once, and if that still fails, consider either hard resetting your phone (*#7370# , default password 12345 ...but back up all important data first!) or having the phone serviced. I hope that helps!

NB200-12N - Can't connect to WLAN

I have a NB200-12N its about 5 weeks old and I cant get it to connect to my WLAN. I've tried updating the driver as well as reinstalling it as well as the BIOS and its not helped. I got the computer brand new and its not worked at all.
I've looked around and it seems the atheros ar9285 wireless adapter is the root of all evil. Is there any thing else I can try please?

Update the WLan driver.
Im not an owner of NB200 but a friend of mine has an NB300 and there was an option in BIOS which enabled and disabled the Wlan
Check in BIOS if such option is available in your case too
Be sure that you have used the right SSID, right encryption, right encryption password and disable the MAC filtering on your router.

Satellite L300-217 - Can't connect to WLAN

I can see the SKY network I am trying to connect to (5 bars). _I cannot connect_ (despite having the network encryption key).The error message is "user timed out" (it hardly thinks about it when I press connect)
I have an old WPA wireless network connection through Virgin which I CANNOT remove. I hit remove and it disappears for a few seconds then comes back. SKY seem to think this is the problem
I have updated both my Realtek and Atheros wireless network adapters

Thanks for your note, I only just read it. I managed to resolve the problem. I have put some detail below just in case anyone has a similar problem.
I had 2 pieces of legacy Virgin software running which I was unaware of. By pure luck, I hovered over one of them in the system tray which was "Wireless Broadband Manager". Having uninstalled them both I was then able to "connect" to my SKY broadband WLAN.
This didn't allow me to actually bring down any pages so I went to "Network Sharing Centre" > "Manage Wireless Networks" > highlighted my SKY network > "Adapter Properties" > highlighted Internet Protocol Version 4 > and changed settings to "Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS automatically".
I presume the Virgin software was monopolising my broadband connection and preventing me from connecting automatically to any other network.

Sometimes my computer will connect and detect wireless networks, airports hotels etc but will not work at home and in some ofices.
I run WXP updated with SP2 have an Artheros5005gs adapter. Any ideas?

This is a question of compatibility between the WLan router and the WLan card.
If the WLan card does not support the same Wlan standards then you will be not able to establish the wlan connection.
Mostly the Hot spots (Wlan on airports, city, etc) are not secured and therefore the notebook connects automatically to such Wlans.
The Wlan at home or in the office is mostly secured and you need an right encryption key to connect to such Wlans.
So I think you should check you WLan router configuration settings and use the right encryption key, SSID, etc

I've managed to connect to the interent using a cable, but am unable to connect via wifi.
Wifi is switched on. It finds my BT Home Hub, but when i connect it just says it is unable to.

Did you check the Wifi device in Device Manager? Is the driver installed properly?
Try disabling your Firewall, that could be blocking the Wifi connection.
Also try pressing Fn+F9 to toggle the Wireless devices

C3-01 fail to connect to WLAN

If you read my post you would know that that is the main reason why I wrote the post. The OVI browser does not work It says: "Unable to connect to service. Try again later". This happens every time I try to connect with me standing literally 2 ft from my router.

Can't see available WLAN Connection on Tecra A5 but ok with Tecra M5

I have the following problem:
I have a DLink Wireless Access point (DWL-3200AP) configured in my office.
On my laptop, I can see my WLAN and I'm able to connect with my Tecra M5.
I can see the WLAN on the configfree graphic tool.
Now the problem .... I bougth a Tecra A5 for my boss, everything is working fine ... Radio is active ...
Wireless card OK ... BUT I can't see the WLAN ... can't find it ...
I checked everything but I have no idea why ...
Does someone can help me ?

I would suggest checking the router settings.
In my knowledge many WLan routers support a hiding WLan option.
In such cases the WLan is not visible and you have to know the name of the WLan to searching it.
I think you know the name of the WLan therefore I would recommend entering the Wireless Network connection properties and then choosing the Wireless Networks tab.
There you can Add the preferred networks. You have to enter the WLan name and the encryption.

Yes it would, possibly even brick it.
Have successfully connected my ipod nano with iTunes so looks like the device driver is working.
Can I use my ipod nano USB connector to check?
It is not much help to you, since the device that you need still not recognized.
Anyway looks like I may have to swallow the loss of data. Have set-up a call for tomorrow with Apple support so will wait until after this before doing the factory restore!

Nokia 5800 connected to WLAN but can't browse the ...

wassup! peeps.
recently I can't browse the web or use any free messaging apps such as Nimbuzz on my nokia 5800 (fw version 21.0) finland made, but clearly indicates that it's connected to WLAN...the ones I used before (in my home & @ my work).
I noticed it started when I was waiting for a video in youtube to finish buffering, then halfway to it it suddenly went back to my main screen. when i tried again, same thing happens. then i try to log-in to facebook or any website... first it will give the impression that its connecting but then, juz a couple of seconds or less, it willl suddenly revert back to my phone home screen.
this started a couple of weeks back, and now the bluetooth too is f***ed-up!
because my laptop can't see it, while yesterday it can.
it seems that mines the first one with this kind of problem bcoz i can't find any forum discussing this issue.
anyone who can help will be worshiped forever...thanx!

You could also try to clean privacy data inside the browser, and reset your device by taking out the battery for a couple of min and set it back again.
Last resort: Soft reset it by dialling *#7370# (this will delete contacts, messages and everything else on C, so make a backup using PC suite) and do a format of the memorycard. - Then you start out with a fresh device.

Tecra A11: Can't find model number

I have a new Tecra A11, part number PTSE3U-05H01P01, running Windows XP. There is no model number printed on the sticker. How can I determine my model number, so I can get to the right place in the product support web pages?

Oeap 600 - can't connect to corporate wlan

I have some trouble with the setup of an oeap 600 ap.
The ap has joined the controller as it should and the remote-lan connection to my corporate network works well, but i can't connect to the corporate wlan.
When i check the event log on the ap it says:
