TECRA A11 - low sound quality earphone to AUX

Tecra A11 provides *low sound quality* (iTunes) connecting with my hifi system *via earphone out to AUX* in. An Apple MacBook connected in the same way does much better. Any idea how could enhance the quality? Thanks in advance!

Hmmmmm...... have you tried to change sound settings, player equaliser?
Open control panel and check if there is Realtek sound manager (Realtek soundcard) and play a little bit with sound effects settings.

  • N81 Sound Quality (Earphones)

    I have being doing some test with the N81. Here are my findings;
    - N81 sound output via headset is low even if max volume n full equaliser settings are set with also stereo wideing on/off & loudness.
    - I tried different earphones in the N81 such as n91 earphones still sound quality low, & Sony ericsson W810i earphones sound quality abit loud due to bass in the earphones.
Is this a pure joke by Nokia or something? N95/N81/N81 8GB/N95 8GB/N76 have 3.5mm Audio Jack but the sound quality is pathetic with standard earphones.
However my Sony Ericsson K550i beats sound quality of the N81 even with its standard earphones.

So dont waste ur money on devices like dat which cant even perform good sound. For music go for either N91 or Sony Ericsson walkman phones.

  • Fuzzy low sound quality with AirTunes

AirTunes sound quality sounds like a put a pillow over my speakers and its very fuzzy. I have no idea what could be wrong. Any thoughts?
And it has a good connection so that isnt the problem.

I asked the Apple WM guy if the AX Toslink digital signal could be sent to an outboard DAC ...and he said, no, it's an analog (music) signal, and then basically gave a disclaimer that Apple doesn't support any other uses for it. (???)
Huh? No. The Toslink is optically coupled digital data. It's the same data supplied to the Express's built-in DAC. The DAC's output is analog. Toslink (or the generic name digital optical audio) is commonplace with audio equipment.
    http://www.toshiba.com/taec/components/ProdLineGuide/toslink.pdf
Apple's own specifications say the Express has a "3.5-mm audio minijack for analog *or optical digital sound*". The Einstein you spoke to doesn't understand his own product. Ask to speak to someone who does.
You could easily modulate an analog signal and transmit it over optical fiber using the same inexpensive plastic fiber optics that Toslink uses, and subsequently demodulate and amplify the received optical signal. I did that in grade school. But that does not describe the Express's optical output, which is strictly a digital signal.

  • Z1 Compact headphone low sound quality

hello , after i upgraded to loliop i started to have problems with my headphones MH750 , the sound quality became variant und bad , i have tried to change the clear audio+ and dynamic normaliser but not much to mention , any solutions ? thanx in advanced

I have the same issue with audio output on my z1. It is completely random, sometimes the bass will be almost non existent until i restart the walkman app a few times until the bass is there. Sometimes channeling through the headphone types will bring the bass back in, sometimes not. It's a complete pain and unpredictable.

  • H55M-E23 low sound quality

Hello.I have this serious problem with my sound card.I have these rly awesome headphones and when i listen music the quality of the songs is realy low.I used the same headphones on my brother's laptop and the difference is amazing...... i can hear every instrument used in the recording of the song. While im on my own its super normal even low quality.I wana know guys is there a way to improve my quality with codecs or something else.I already downloaded the latest driver and its still the same.Is there anyway or should i buy a new and better sound card.Hope to hear from you soon.Thank you.

Did you try disconnecting the front connectors and see if it sounds better?
Try plugging the comp into a different room. *Perhaps the ground on that circuit of the house is messed up
Perhaps even remove the motherboard and put it on a piece of cardboard and test it there. *make sure there are no shorts
Has it always been like this, or is this new?
Is everything else working 100% with the comp?
You could check the memory with: >>Memtest86<< although I don't think thats the issue.
    *other things that can cause.
1.)Software Issue or conflict (I usually just re-install the OS to rule this out)
2.) Interferance from another electrical applicance too close to the computer.
    3.) bad electrical ground
    4.) Hardware Failure

  • Tecra S11 - Low sound level

I have recently purchased an S11 and as a previous owner of the Tecra line I was quite disappointed in the Audio level. I realize that the S11 is a Business machine and not a multimedia machine, but I have to sit very close and make sure there is no noise in the room to hear the on board speakers.
Is there a way to overcome this? Even 50% more audio would be a tremendous improvement.

    Hi Pman,
Im not a Tecra S11 owner but I cant imagine that the sound level is so low as you described.
What program you use for listening music?
What kind of files you have more music?
    What operating system you have?
I can recommend the multimedia player VLC media player. Thats a freeware tool which is really great and play the most audio and vide files.
Furthermore make also sure that you have highest sound level and try updating the sound driver.

  • Lower sound quality / lower bass after upgrade to Windows 8

Hello, just upgraded to Windows 8 on my Pavilion m7.
Before, my audio quality was rich and bassy, using Beats Audio, and after the upgrade sounds poor and quite muted. No matter what I do, I cannot improve quality especially with the deep bass. I am using external speakers, not the ones built in laptop.
In order to troubleshoot, I did a factory restore back to Windows 7... sounded fantastic. When I redid a clean 8 install on top of that, back to the same lack of bass.
Has anybody else experienced something like this?

    Hi Zerxiisiis,
Sorry to hear about your audio issue during the upgrade. I will be happy to assist you with that. There are a couple of things that you can try. The first is uninstalling your current audio driver. Uninstall it through device manager.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553572(v=vs.85).aspx
Then download and install your audio driver again. I have included the link below.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff553572(v=vs.85).aspx
If that doesn't work you might just need to adjust your equalizer settings for your Beats Audio. I have included a link to a thread where a user has posted some good levels.

  • HT204387 iPhone 6+ A2DP implementation and blutooth  sound quality

My iPhone 6+ plays over blutooth to volkswagen RNS810 media system with much lower sound quality than CDs or even AAC. Normally I cannot tell the difference between AAC and CD in my car. Does the A2DP implementation here send AAC files from iPhone to RNS810 or there is some other re-compression going on on the way ? Also no titles show on the RNS810 screen. How to get best sound quality here and see track information on RNS810 screen? TIA.

I had the same problem on my 4s after the update. I rebooted phone and all is well.
    Hope this works for you.......

There is so much distortion on some of the music I have to play it with QuickTime to get a "clean" track.
What can be done to get a consistent volume level or is this another typical Apple product that you have to take what you get and be happy because it's not a Microsoft product?

If that's the best you can do why don't you get on another forum?

  • HT1481 My ipod's sound quality has changed and its sound's very low. How should I fix it?

    Dear sir,
My ipod once got formatted. Now I hear low sound from my ipod.

First, make sure your headphones are working properly.  You can try them with another device, or try a different set with your shuffle.
If the headphones are fine, go to the shuffle's Settings or Summary screen in iTunes.  It's the screen that appears when you select the shuffle in iTunes.  There is a Limit maximum volume setting there.  Make sure that slider bar did not get set to a low volume.
If that does not help, you can try doing a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes.  The Restore button is on the Settings or Summary screen in iTunes.  This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings.  If the cause is related to a problem with software or settings, the Restore should fix it.
If that does not help either, there may be a hardware-related problem on your shuffle.

  • Sound quality: If you want to hear the difference between higher and lower bit rates

Have you ever wondered about the difference in the sound quality of music at different bit-rates? Can you hear the difference?
If you listen to 64kbps and 28kbps (either wma or mp3), you'll hear the great difference. However, if you listen to 28kbps and 92kbps (either wma or mp3), you'll find that there is little or no difference (to me, that is).
    collegeboy wrote:
We all know that wma 28kbps sounds just as good as wma 320kb
    ps.
the reason i and you go higher than 28 is because where able to. you can deny all you want.
If you want to experience better sound quality at higher bit-rates, the best thing to do is to listen to the music at a quiet place. This may sound like lame advise, but it really works. Try 320kbps for the best results. You'll be able to hear minor details you never had before.

    SSR wrote:
Wayyyyyy back when I first started encoding MP3s I was using 28 with an inferior encoder. At the time I couldn't spot the difference, but now the difference is stark. Particular types of music (and more specifically instruments and combinations) do emphasise it though.
Actually, you cannot hear the difference when the background noise is loud, or example, public transport. I suggest that one uses a noise cancellation headset. $$$

  • IPod w/Cassette Adapter-How to Optimize Sound Quality?

I have I believe a G2 iPod (15 GB), and I play it in my car using a cassette adapter. I've found that to keep the sound from degrading at above average volumes, I have to make some adjustments. One, I have to set the EQ to 'Bass Reducer'. Two, I have to make sure the volume on the iPod is at about 80%. If I go above that, the sound distorts. The lower you go below that, the more hissing you get w/ the playback. I also turn the 'Sound Check' setting on.
Any other recommendations on how to optimize the sound quality when playing it through your vehicle sound system? Also, I'm thinking about getting a G5 unit (most likely the 4 GB Nano). Anyone have any feedback on whether I can expect better sound quality, in particular in my vehicle with the setup outlined above, by upgrading to the newer unit?

Various Methods to Connect to a Car Stereo System, or Listen to Your iPod in the Vehicle
    Best:
Direct connection via the dock connector or headphone jack of your iPod, to the mini-jack input (or AUX RCA input jacks) of your car stereo. Not many low/moderate-end cars have this feature yet, but it is becoming more popular. Some aftermarket auto stereo units may have this feature.
There are also some after-market, moderate to fairly expensive direct interfaces, that hook into your existing car stereo to provide a high-quality, direct connection. Most will also power/charge the iPod. Pretty slick, but can be pricey ($80-$300). If money is no object, a clean way to go. Not very portable from car to car – if at all.

    http://www.theistore.com/ipod2car.html
    http://www.mp3yourcar.com/
    Better:
Connect your iPod to a cassette adaptor and play your tunes through your car's cassette player. Some new cars no longer come with a cassette player, so it may not be an option. It will provide even better audio quality if you can run the audio feed out of the dock connector (see the SendStation link below). Can be portable between cars that have a cassette player and also be used in your home cassette system. $5 to $20 for the adaptors, with large variations in quality (even with the same model).
    Good:
Attach an FM transmitter to your iPod and play the tunes through an unused FM station. Convenient, but wireless FM transmitter signals are susceptible to static and outside interference, and can vary in strength and quality depending on your location. Some noticeable degradation and distortion, depending on the quality of the transmitter, the sensitivity of your ears and the airwave congestion in your area. Highly portable between cars, and may be used in a home system. FM transmitters that need to be plugged into a DC auto jack may not work in a home environment (without some sort of adaptor). You can pay from $15 to more than $80 for some of these.....but for FM quality audio, how much is too much?
    Marginal:
Attach an external speaker system to the iPod and play it in the car. Workable, but not too good - unless you spring for a $300+ Bose (or similar) system. But why? Only if your vehicle has no Stereo system, perhaps.
    Brave Techno-Geek:
This site gives some directions on adapting a car stereo by yourself. Risky, but it has been successfully accomplished by a forum member. Fairly inexpensive....unless you screw it up.
Whichever you choose, power the iPod through your car’s DC power -- either from a power adapter, or as part of the combined audio adaptor. Have a method to secure the iPod to the dash/console/etc. See the reviews for all the various accessories at the iLounge
You will also get better audio output if the dock connection plug is used, rather than the headphone jack. See Sendstation for a novel adaptor called a PocketDock. Others types are also available via this site.
I have read positive and negative reviews of each method, and within methods there are great variations in performance of different manufacture's systems – and peoples’ opinions of their performance. Some cassette adaptors/FM transmitters work poorly, some better.
FWIW: I have the iTrip Mini & the Newer Technology RoadTrip!+ FM transmitters, a Belkin cassette adaptor (used both with & w/out the PocketDock) and two vehicles with the BlitzSafe direct interface. Using the same song in the same car, I found that the FM transmitters worked, but not as good as the cassette adapter via the headphone jack. Using the PocketDock on the cassette adapter resulted in a significant audio quality improvement. As expected, the Blitzsafe direct connect was exceptionally better than everything else: less tinny, a more warmer/richer sound, and close to true CD quality.
