Tecra R700 - HDMI not working

I am not getting an hdmi option with FnF5 nor in the Intel display panel.
There is no hdmi out signal either. The system is Win7 64bit.
Is there a driver that must be added to get hdmi? Or what? Bios up date?

Hi
Did you connect the LCD correctly to the notebook?
You have to choose the right HDMI channel on the LCD and should power on the external LCD before using the FN + F5!
Please not that you have to press several times FN +F5 to get HDMI out option.
The Tecra R700 seems to be an Toshiba Canadian series and released for Canadian market. Therefore you should use the Toshiba Canada page for any driver downloads if necessary.

Check also if the HDMI option is available in BIOS.
Maybe you could change something
PS: I noticed that a new BIOS has been released too. Its v1.80

    Hi
If I understand you right all devices listed properly in device manager and you dont have yellow exclamation marks?!
Normally for high definition sound cards you need two patches from Microsoft:
    KB835221 and KB888111.
Normally these patches are integrated in SP3 but this only works if you install the sound driver after SP3. So if you have an older version of XP without SP3 you must update to SP3 first and then install the display driver.
So in your case you should remove the current sound driver and restart the notebook. Then use CCleaner to clean the registry and system folders. Restart the notebook again. Then download and install the newest sound driver from the Realtek Hompage.

  • Satego x200-21u - Remote and HDMI not work on Windows 7

    Hey
I have a problem with win7 and the remote that was delivered with my notebook when i bought it
I installed all drivers from the toshiba homepage for win7. I also installed some of the winvista driver, like the webcam- and the touchpad drivers.
The only two things, not working are the remote and the HDMI-Sound output.
my remote doesnt work with win7. and if i connect my notebook to my flat-tv via HDMI-Cable i only see the picture but hear no sound.
I changed also the settings in the soundoptions in win7 from default to Digitalaudio (HDMI) but it doesnt work anyways..
can someone tell me which drivers i need to install these two or what i have to do, to make my remote and the HDMI output work?
    thanks alot

    Hi mate,
This is really strange to say because this notebook is a little bit older and therefore there is no official Windows 7 support I think...
Do you have yellow exclamation marks in device manager at the moment?
For HDMI I think chipset, display and sound driver should be installed. Maybe you can get one on the Intel page directly.
Make also sure that the newest BIOS version is installed on your notebook.

  • Macbook mini-DVI - DVI - HDMI not working with My 32" Vizio

Okay so my Macbook mini-DVI - DVI - HDMI is not working with My 32" Vizio. I've connected an 18 pin plus one slot DVI to HDMI cable to my 32" Vizio HDTV, this cable is connected to my macbook via a Mini-DVI to DVI cable, this one has 24 pins plus one slot on the DVI side. My Vizio display is blue, no signal, it reads. I'm wondering if the reason it's not picking up the display is the lack of pins on the DVI to HDMI or because I dont have any display options aside from screen size and color on my display menu. BTW I hit the detect display button and nothing happened.... I know I just wrote alot here but hopefully someone will read it and come to the rescue. thanks

Oops, I guess all I had to do was restart my macbook. I feel like an idiot.....all is well.

  • Update to Mac OS X 10.8.4 HDMI Not Working?

    Hi,
I have a 15" MBP Retina and after I updated to Mac OS X 10.8.4, connecting to a tv through HDMI no longer works.
I have tried different cables, different tv's. When I connect my Lenovo laptop to my tv through HDMI, it works. Thus, I know it's not a tv or cable problem.
What happens with my MBP is that when I connect the HDMI from my tv to my laptop, the screen flashes blue but nothing happens after. Nothing shows up in the task bar (ex. mirroring options) and nothing shows up on my tv (it has no signal).
I'm guessing the latest update created this bug. Anyone share the same problem?

Thx! This looks like a good link. Somehow I got it to work without any tricks, it just worked all the sudden. Frikkin computers! I'm very surprised I have to choose audio-source when I connect my MacBook to my TV, I naively hoped that this was going to work out for itself (magically) once I've connected those two and chosen screen output.

  • Lightening to HDMI not working after recent update

I recently updated my Ipad and now my Lightening to HDMI adapter does not seem to work.  It was working fine up until the most recent update.   I know that the HDMI cable works and all the other connections are fine b/c it works fine when plugged into our blu-ray player.
Has anyone else had this problem, or does anyone know how to fix this issue?

What recent update?  The last Epson R220 update for non intel Macs was 08/19/10:  http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=60202&prodoid=58654 761&BV_UseBVCookie=yes&infoType=Downloads&platform=Macintosh&x=21&y=13
What happens when you click on the EPSON Printer Utility which should be inside the Utility folder?  Have you tried repairing permissions and restarting your computer?  Have you read Epson's user manual and/or contacted their tech support?
I also have the R220 model.  Besides using their drivers, I also use the Gimp drivers:  http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/MacOSX.php

If you have Windows System Restore enabled you can select a Restore point to an earlier date to see if this solves your problem.  In many instances this will work.

  • HDMI not working

Background I bought a Spectre x360 13-1402dx laptop just two days ago. When I tried to connect it to my Dell U2412m monitor through HDMI cable, I found that it displays my screen in a very fuzzy way. The following photo is one example. You can see red noises in darker region, and skyblue noises in whiter region:  In comparison, I have been using this monitor without any issue for years, and with the very same cable and monitor I get a clean and neat screen with my old laptop:   Possible Causes? Setting issue?  Probably not. I have tested all the possible resolution and frequency options but none has worked; they displayed exactly the same noise patterns. Cable issue?  Definitely not. I have tested two differend HDMI cables, with one old and the other delivered just today. Both worked for the old laptop and did not work for the new one. So I safely excluded this possiblity. I came to think that one of (or a multiple of) the following is a possible cause, though I nave no definitive answer now. Laptop hardware problem.
This is the worse thing I can imagine, and also the most likely cause for my issue...
    Windows 10 compatibility problem.
I googled and found that many suffered from HDMI output when they migrated to Windows 10, but mostly the issue was that their PC or laptop became unable to detect HDMI, not a fuzzy-screen problem like me.
    Monitor problem.
But this does not seem to explain why this works for some computer and not for other. (Basically I tested it with the very same resolution I used for my old laptop.)  Question. I would like to figure out what is the cause of my problem. Specifically, (1) I would like to know if my brand-new laptop has hardware defect or not.(2) As a follow-up to (1), I would like to know how to diagnose my laptop. Or, if self-diagnosis is not a reliable method, should I call an expert? Thanks in advance!  Addendum. The following photo shows an extreme case of the problem I am suffering from. A supposedly black screen is now filled with random red noises. (That black screak is caused by the presence of the cursor.)

  • K330B HDMI not working

System is over a year old and this is first time I have tried using the HDMI port.  I have a working cable (checked it at work to verify) but when I plug the cable into the PC and run it to my LCD TV ...nothing, no errors, no messages, it's like the PC doesn't even recognize the output.  Are there any changes I need to make in the display settings to make the HDMI output work.  The VGA output is fine.  I've tried rebooting, both the PC and TV and have triplechecked the cable connections on both ends.
    K330B, Win 7 HomePrem OS.
    Any ideas are appreciated.

Control panel/display/resoulution is where you would look to see if the puter is working, it would show up as a second monitor I believe.

    Hi GaBI13,
You can switch on - off the wireless by pressing (airplane mode) F7 or Fn-F7. If this doesn't help you check that wireless device is present in Device Manager, is enabled and working properly (no arrows or yellow triangle present on device). If everything OK go to Control Panel-Network and Internet-Network Connections, identify the Wireless Network Connection. If this is Disabled, double click to enable it, right click and choose Connect. The driver for WiFi you can find here in case that you need.
    Hope this will help you.

  • New MBP mini Display Port out to TV (HDMI) not working

Sorry, I just realized I put this in the Original Folder not the Late 2008 folder.
I bought a new MBP 2.4 GHz, 4 GBs RAM machine in January of this year, 2009. Model Identifier 5,1. I wanted to connect it to my TV's HDMI port. Only interested in getting video to TV since I run sound through a sound system. I have been using my MacBook Air's DVI adapter to a DVi - HDMI cable. I have a Sony Bravia 40 HD tv. Video works just fine from my MBAir, can change resolutions to anything and video works perfectly (audio has a little problem though - high frequency hum out of the MBAir's audio port). That's why I want to change to my MB Pro - audio from the New MBP is good.
With my new MBP, using it's Mini out- DVi connector and using the Same Video (HDMI) cable that I used with my MBAir - it doesn't work. The Display Preference does not detect the TV ever. I just get a black screen on the TV. Not even a flash on the TV like it's trying to connect - nothing.
I can pull the cable out of my MBP 2.4 and swap the DVi connector to the MBAir's cable and put it in the MBAir and it works just fine. Swap it back to the new MBP and nothing.
I have tried two different MBP Mini DVI out connectors, thinking one was bad. I even took the connector I use with the MBAir with me to the Apple Store to have them match the connectors, so I would be assured that I got the correct one. Oh by the way, my MBAir is the original one, not the newest one.
I have read a lot of links on the website where people are having trouble with Monitors using the new MBP Mini DVI video out but could not find any thread that matched my TV problem.
Any suggestions or explanations would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
Just to clarify, you state that you have a MacBookPro5,1, which is the late 2008 model. The video output on that model is a mini-DisplayPort, not a mini-DVI (like the pre-unibody MacBooks) or a micro-DVI (like your 1st gen MBA). DisplayPort is a different type of port. (Note - I requested an edit of the title of your post to clarify that).
When you connect the TV, in what sequence are you connecting? The 'proper' sequence is to connect the DVI-HDMI cable to the mini-DisplayPort to DVI adapter, have the HDMI end connected to the TV, have the TV set to Line-In, looking for a signal, then connect to the MBP last.
What happens when you connect it like that? Have you tried System Preferences > Displays > Detect Displays?
