The FN buttons are controlled by Common Modules running Win XP.
Did you install the Common Modules?
If not you should do thatyou can find the right Common Modules here

The installer for Logic Pro 8 has a bug which keeps it from operating in Lion or Mt. Lion. Use the program Pacifist to install it.

Yes, it does. It is only in my email through Charter that it does not work. I restored all keyboard shortcuts to the default, but that did not fix the problem. I have a MacBook Air.
I called Charter also, who said it was a Mac problem.

Can I use the CD key more than once?

I bought Lightroom as a Christmas present for my husband this year, but his laptop was stolen recently. It will be a few months before we can afford getting him a new one, and I want him to still be able to use Lightroom until then, so I was considering installing it on my computer, if it will do so (my computer is getting a bit old). But I don't want to do that unless he'll still be able to use the CD key to install it on a new laptop once we get him one. I've never had to worry about installing software on more than one computer, so I'm not completely sure of myself here. Any advice?

How can I use the enter key instead of tab to change field focus?

I am using Acrobat 9 Pro.
We have a fillable PDF where the users enter numbers into fields. They want to be able to use the <enter> key on the 10-key pad instead of the <tab> key on the keyboard to move the focus to the next data entry field.
How can I set my PDF so that it recognizes the <enter> key instead of the <tab> key for changing focus?

You can use a custom Keystroke script, something like:

After updating to 7.0.1 I can not always use the tab key to move to the next field or use the shift and tab to move to the prior field in forms. I tried in safe mode and the tab key worked just fine. I'm not sure about all web forms I've only recently updated to 7.0. The wen form I was using was for appraisal purposes and it has multiple data fields to fill in and also drop down menus to select from. Might I always have to use Firefox in safe mode to be able to utilize the tab between field feature? Thanks for your help!

Boot camp and windows XP..can't use the "option" key to dual boot

I'm a Mac newbie, but I know LOTS about windows XP. I set up windows XP to run on my brand new (5 days old) macbook. I can use bootcamp to boot from OS/X to windows XP, and everything works well o both systems (I also loaded fusion, didn't like it cause I had to keep activating Microsoft Office 2007 everytime I switched from the VM to the bootcamp method of accessing XP).
My question..when I hold down the option key when I turn on the computer, only the Mac hard drive appears, not the windows...so, I boot into OS/X and then switch to windows from there. Any ideas why the option key only gives me the Mac HD option?

In terms of AV, I'm running Mcafee AV and firewall, if that's any help knowing..I don't know if the AV changes any boot record, etc. Also, interesting when I go to the boot camp control panel when I am in windows, both "hard drives, Mac and windows" show up as folders. When I go to the control panel in the Mac OS, the Mac HD shows up as a hard drive, and the windows shows up as a folder. So...who knows!
As for using Vista vs. windows, well, I haven't worked much with Vista, but, since many of us that need windows use programs that may not reliably work with Vista, I have stuck with XP.
As for the use of Fusion, my point was this. I put the trial copy on and then loaded office 2007...each time I started the windows boot camp partition, or the fusion VM, I had to reactive Office 2007...this is a known problem in fusion VMware per their discussion board on the site. If you load fusion AND the fusion tools before activating Windows XP, then you only have to activate windows twice, once in bootcamp and once in fusion, but you have to look for the fusion tools and load them, they don't load by default.
Thanks for the OS dual boot software suggestion, I'll check it out...this is not a huge problem, but, when the Apple engineers respond to my question as "hmmm...we don't know"...I'm a bit concerned. So, as an old time windows user who just switched to Mac, my initial take it...both systems have their problems, just a different set of problems...but, so far I love my Macbook.

When i set up the ipad to my appleID, it automatically registered my iphone # as my contact for messaging. Yes. I use the same Apple ID on four different iDevices. You can sync the contacts with iCloud or with your computer and have them on both devices. You can sync all of the apps as well. If the apps are not in iTunes on your computer - you can download them to the iPad with the same Apple ID. You can also restore the iPad from a backup of the phone to transfer your settings, app data and your contacts.
iPhone only apps will be half size on the iPad screen but will still work as long - you can enlarge the size of the apps - but they will be pixelated on the screen.

Yes. However, the output of the iPad's wall charger may be a little less than what it would be if it were an actual iPod wall charger, so it may charge a little bit slower. I'm not 100% positive though.
