Tecra-S11 - Ethernet-Controller not installed (Win7)

After setting up Window 7/64 (exactly Win2008 server R2 enterprise) newly I installed all 64-bit-Drivers. for the Ethernet-Controller (INTEL) it still says "...not installed". When executing the related driver (TC00248700A.exe) the extracting works but afterwards nothing happens....
(Tecra-S11 13M)
Can somebody help? No hits with ethernet-controller in the forum yet....

I have checked Toshiba download page and Win7 64bit LAN driver for your Tecra must be THIS one.
Test it please.

I would suggest leaving it as Windows 8.1 - Any attempt to install another OS will wipe out the factory partitions and invalidate the OEM licnese for the OS tree.  Windows 10 may not install to your old Windows 7 as the EULA prohibits installing retail versions on more than one device.  Also - you will not be able to re-install or go "back" to Windows 8.1 factory installation if you have not created the restore disks.

  • Satellite M-115 S1061 Ethernet Controller not configured correctly

Hi all. I'm the third person who's owned this laptop and I have none of the original documentation, software - nothing. I recently had to reinstall the OS and since I didn't have the original OS I had to use another copy of WinXP pro that I had. Well, the network adapter is installed fine and working correctly, but the ethernet controller is not. I don't know a lot about these things, but I thought that if one was working right the other should be too. Do they use different drivers? I tried the file here:
    http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/support/downloads/lan_driver_realtek_25058B.exe
and I tried the latest file from the realtek site, for my Realtek RTL8139 Family Fast Ethernet NIC.
Neither of those solved the problem. The Ethernet Controller is still there in DM with an exclamation mark next to it - along with the SM Bus Controller. Could the bus controller be the reason the controller won't install right?
What am I missing? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, all, I appreciate the replies. Unfortunately, the problem persists. I've downloaded all drivers, installed everything I could find for the M115. Everything is working fine (including now the SMBus controller) EXCEPT the Ethernet Controller. It's still not installed properly. I've manually searched for a working driver in every lan driver download for the M115 I could find, and also the PCI_Install pack from the Realtek site. None of them work.
Someone please clarify something for me: is the ethernet controller a component of the Network adapter or is it related to the wireless card? I'm thinking it must be for the wireless because I don't have it on my desktop system, which doesn't have a wireless card. But if it's for the wireless, why can't I get an internet connection through my cable modem? The Network adapter on my laptop is working, and I see that all the settings are exactly the same as on my desktop, and when I run IPconfig it shows an IP address and subnet mask, but I keep getting that message that my conenction has limited or no connectivity. In addition to the Client, File & printer Sharing, QoS Packet Scheduler, and the Internet Protocol, should I be seeing anything else when I look at the Connection Properties of my laptop? (And for the record, I've installed the wireless drivers too.)
Could the problem have something to do with me using WinXP pro rather than the home edition originally installed on the laptop? Maybe none of the drivers are compatible with the pro version? Doesn't seem likely, but I'm getting desperate here. Also, is it possible I get no internet connection because I'm not using the original computer I set up my internet on? Something to do with different MAC addresses or something?
    TIA!

  • Re: Tecra S11 - TEMPRO does not notify me about new drivers

There are new drivers and BIOS available for my Tecra S11 but TEMPRO does not notify me.
    Why?

PauPau: Bluetooth, WLAN and BIOS drivers are available for my T S11 (released in 2012). I think I reinstalled tempro a few month ago and I forgot to open it and accept licence agreement or something. When I posted this thread yesterday and after I clicked yes, I agree TEMPRO showed me there are new BIOS available. Sorry for that! But...
Macius: I have got BSOD about 6 times since 2012 january. WinDbg only shows me
    Probably caused by : ntoskrnl.exe ( nt+7cc40 )
I also had lots of BSODs about 6 month ago, but that caused by a faulty hdd. I replaced it and reinstalled w7 pro and everything was OK until 2012 jan.

  • New mac book air CAN NOT install win7 ?!

I just bought new mac book air (1.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 )
Try to install win7, when go to win7 installation interface, the mouse and touch pad doesn’t work. ( I did try USB mouse, same).
    BUT
I use same usb on my old mac book air ( 1.3GHz ) it works fine.
I called apple, a very nice lady tell me i should call Microsoft, because if mouse and keyboard works fine in MAC system that means the hardware is fine.
Is somebody have some idea about this ?
    Thanks a lot !!!

If this is a 2nd hand Mac, some of those apps were free to the original purchaser, the Apple ID you saw, but they are paid apps for you.

  • Ethernet Driver Not Installed and Yet It Is - Network useless

Device Manager reports the network port on my W500 (4063-3FU) suddenly lacks a driver (Code 28). This is odd since I had manually installed it myself during the upgrade to a 64 bit (Win7 x64 SP1) ... because even the recent SystemUpdate utils don't work very well (as evidenced by the many tips on the forum to manually install things in a certain order).
Multiple attempts to install Lenovo's latest network driver manually appeared to go smoothly, but Windows still says there's no driver. Astra32 calls it an Unknown device which may be odd, and the diagnostic tool "Lenovo Service Center" (LSC) is too vaue to be of use. I am adding screenshots .
So I let Device Manager and Windows Update try to get an updated driver, but it could never find a driver. Or it would get various errors (Red X marks that tell the user nothing useful).
Programs & Features shows what i think may be the entry (highlighted in blue) for the network/port/driver but it's vague. I've been reluctant to uninstall it just yet.
Does anyone know what I should do next? I need to get the network port going.

What about the blue-highlighted entry in the last graphic (from Programs & Features)... Might that be the LAN driver? How could I check?
When I go here for  the LAN driver
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w500/4063/3fu
It says Ethernet driver (Intel PRO/1000 LAN adapter software) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - ThinkPad is the driver for the W500.
The page on the network chipset is here:
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-w-series-laptops/thinkpad-w500/4063/3fu/downloads/DS019225
The network chip should be one of these: Intel® 82567LM Gigabit Network ConnectionIntel® 82567LF Gigabit Network Connection
Question is, how do I get the system to evaluate the network hardware? LSC is useless.

The computer is a Lenovo ThinkStation

I first checked that the computer did not have
    viruses or other malicious software.
I tried turning off all no-windows
    services, uninstalling all security software
    not microsoft and also
    disabling antivirus, firewall, Microsoft, I
uninstalled all drivers (except those essential
    motherboard) and utilities.
I tried to download the whole package win7
    sp1 (windows6.1-KB976932-x64.exe)

    (ok)
    sfc / scannow (in mod.

    to version 8.
I have access to the two log files:
    WindowsUpdate.log
    CBS.log (this is a file of 111
Mb and is the most detailed on the errors
being updated but how can I submit?)
    Can anyone help me?

    this error:

Also appearing in the file CBS.log

When i click the speaker icon in the lower right corner, and open the playback devices, it says:

How can I get sound on my computer? Are there any free programs that are compatible that will allow me to have sound?

  • Tecra S11-15T asks to install always sound driver

    Good day all
My Toshiba laptop S11-15T has a sound driver problem, every time I restart my laptop in want me to install a
Microsoft UAA bus driver high defection audio driver.
I've tried re-installing the sound drivers but it doesn't do the trick.
    Please assist...

    Hi
What Windows OS do you use?
    Is it Win XP?
As far as I know the Win XP SP3 contains the Microsoft UAA bus driver high defection audio driver and some patches and fixes.
If you use this system, I recommend installing all patches and service packs firstly.
Then you should uninstall the sound driver and after new reboot install the driver which you could download from the Toshiba page.

  • Can not instal Win7 WLAN Driver for Satellite C660-168

I can't install WLAN driver on my Satellite C660-168 after Windows 7 installing.
    What's the problem?

    Hi Admiral,
And why you cant install it? Do you get an error message or what happens exactly?
As PauPau wrote you have Broadcom WLAN card so you have to download Broadcom WLAN driver that can be downloaded on Toshiba WLAN portal.
Before installing the driver make sure you are logged in as Administrator or with Administrator rights. ;)

  • Ethernet Controller is not working on Satellite L645D-S4030

Basically i got my windows 7 reinstalled on to my laptop because of viruses......Now I have a issue with the Ethernet controller not working, I checked my device manager and there's some kind of yellow dash across the icon......Anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix this problem ????
    BTW i have a SATELLITE L645D-S4030

    Hi buddy,
Hmm Usually if you reinstall Windows from Toshiba recovery disk all drivers will be installed too because the disk contains an image of factory settings.
Or have you used another disk?
Yellow exclamation mark could mean there is a driver issue so it would be recommendable reinstalling the LAN driver. Follow the link posted Timox. After installing the driver restart your computer and check device manager again. Normally the yellow exclamation mark should be vanished.

  • Win7 Ethernet Controller for HP p2 1334

My friends have an HP p2 1334, which they let the virus subsription run out back in March.  The box was loaded with viruses so i formatted the drive and loaded a fresh Win7 Pro image (originaly had Win8, but they hated it).  I can't find an Ethernet Controller driver for Win7 for this model.  It's an Atheros PCIE v.2.0.2.7 controller.

    You're very welcome.
Very interesting since the HP motherboard specs state the ethernet controller in your model is an Atheros AR8152 10/100 ethernet adapter.

  • Ethernet Controller - Driver not installed - Compaq Presario

Hello, I am new here so be gentle
I have just bought second hand a Compaq Presario 6240EA, motherboard is a Compaq 07D0h.
In the hardware - device manager, it shows 'Other devices' - Ethernet Controller, with a large yellow question mark and exclamation mark.
Details in properties show the following: drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28)
    PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_01C3&SUBSYS_00A80E11&REV_C2\3&13C0B0C5&0&20
I have search the HP and Compaq websites for driver downloads and have downloaded all the nVidia drivers available on the Compaq site, none of which improve the situation.
Would there be somewhere else to look, I am at my wits end with this, any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you in anticipation.
    This question was solved.

Please start your own thread rather than opening old ones back up. Also provide your full model number particularly when asking about hardware function which may involve drivers. We have to know precisely what hardware we are dealing with. Like the posts above, you may want to include the hardware id of the affected device.

  • Ethernet controller driver not installing after Windows Server 2008 installation on Cisco UCS blade

I am using MDT 2010 to deploy Windows Server 2008 to a Cisco UCS B200 blade. The OS and hotfixes install with no problem. The system reboots and attempts to connect to the deployment share to continue with the task sequence and I receive an error stating
"A connection to the deployment share could not be made. The following networking device did not have a driver installed. PCI\VEN_1137&DEV_0043&SUBSYS_00481137&REV_A2"
The driver in question is the driver for the Ethernet controller for the UCS blade. More specifically, it is the network driver for the Palo card in the UCS Chassis. When I Ignore or Abort the install, I am able to manually install the driver and restart the
task sequence. The build then completes successfully with no further issue. I just cannot seem to automate the driver install. Has anyone dealt with this type of issue?

Vik and stealthfield - thank you for your responses.
I was preparing a script to manually move the driver into the c:\windows\inf location when I had to stop to create a new task sequence for a different build. It was while building this task sequence that I found the soulution to the problem.
In the Post Install -> Inject Drivers step of the Task Sequence, I noticed that it was executing a command of type "Inject Drivers" with a selection profile of "All Drivers" and "Install only matching drivers
    from the selection profile" selected.
I changed this to run a command of type "Run Command Line" and specified that it execute "%Scriptroot%\ZTIdrivers.wsf". I noticed that this was selected in one of my other builds that was working properly, so I thought I'd
give it a try. - IT WORKED.
So to sum up, the solution was to change the type of command being executed in the "Post Install -> Inject Drivers" step of the task sequence. After this change, the machine came up and continued the task sequence with no further issues.
Thanks again for the responses - They were helpful and I do appreciate it.
