TECRA S5 Nvidia Quadro NVS130M - Sudden BSOD - Win 7 Pro 32-Bit

Having moved from Vista to Windows 7, everything was working fine until two days ago, when suddenly my Laptop stopped working. I was forced to hard reboot it, and then all hell broke loose.
The problem is as follows:
Part Number info: PTS53E-00S009EP - Toshiba Tecra S5 - 2GB Ram Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0 Ghz - Nivdia Quadro NVS130M
Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit begun to suddenly report and error code 43 for the graphic adapter (Nvidia Quadro NVS130M). I had the latest nvidia drivers, so I uninstalled the previous ones and rebooted the machine and installed the new ones. After reboot the Laptop crashed with a bluescreen.
I reverted to last known good configuration (default vga adapter drivers from windows which does not recognize the Nvidia Quadro NVS130M) and the Laptop booted up normally allowing me to enter Windows again.
I went back to the previous Nvidia drivers, and the same issue happened, bluescreen, revert to last known good configuration (default windows vga adapter driver).
I went back to the latest drivers for the Nvidia Quadro NVS130M found on the Toshiba downloads site, same situation as before.
I went all the way back to the oldest drivers on Toshiba Support Downloads site, and still the issue remains.
I have Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit since August and everything was working fine, it is fully updated, and have always used Nvidia's drivers both wit the factory default Vista and Windows 7.
I have not installed any windows updates recently, the last being early november 2011.
The only recent change, about 15 days ago, was that I finally found the drivers for the SD Card reader, they where for windows XP interestingly enough, but Windows 7 immediately recognized the SD Reader which it had not done until then. It couldnt even identify the sort of hardware it was.
I tried uninstalling the toshiba drivers for the SD Card Reader, but even then with that uninstalled, and the hardware disabled in the hardware management, when i try to use the factory drivers downloaded from Toshiba the bluescreen still happens.
One other symptom I've noticed is that if the bluescreen does not occurr ( when it does it specifically lists a file from the nvidia drivers as the cause), the computer will stay with a black screen and the fan will be running at extremely high speed, but there seems to be no HDD activity, as the HDD activity light on the Laptop does not light-up at all.
I have read there is an issue that may lead to the computer blocking or freezing unless the latest version of UPEK software is used. However it does not mention anything about a Bluescreen. Also since the Bluescreen error message specifically states the name of a Nvidia driver file, it wouldnt make much sense that he problem was the UPEK Fingerprinting software the one that was causing this.
It wouldnt make any sense at all since if I leave the default vga adaptor driver operating only and do not install any driver for the graphics board everything works fine, SD Reader, UPEK Figerprinting, etc....
I had everything working, including the fingerprinting software until exactly two days ago, so thats also puzzling me.
I have run Symantec's Endpoint Protection AV Software and the computer is completely clean, there are no virri, and nothign shows as abnormal.
I am now totally out of ideas and I cannot seem to find any information on this subject.
Your help highly appreciated and urgently needed, because if all else fails, I would be forced to rollback to Vista, something I really really really would not like to do, due to the usual hassle of reinstalling OS,Office, and Software for a grand total of over 50GB, and due to the fact that Vista is vastly inferior in so many aspects to Windows 7.

I also read about fingerprint driver which cause a freezing on Tecra series but as far as I know it was related to A11 and M11 series the S5 should not be affected but to be honest the described issue sounds more like a graphic chip issue
Possibly its not graphic driver related issue but graphic chip issue
But did you try to test the notebook with fresh preinstalled OS? Try this and use the OS which was preinstalled by Toshiba in such case you could check if its really a driver problem or chip issue

It helps in some circumstances to improve performance and rather significantly, but in other instances it does not help at all, as is indicated in the link above. People often think that installing a super fast video card will reduce export times by a significant amount of time. That is not true. It only helps in a limited number of situations. Keep in mind that:
    Encoding to an export format is done by the CPU, not the GPU. No performance gain from a video card.
    Frame rate changes, frame blending is done by a suitable video card, for instance exporting to 24P from 29.97i or 60P. Here there is a clear performance gain.
    Scaling is also helped by hardware MPE, for instance going from 4K to HD or from HD to SD. Again a clear performance gain.
    Rendering for preview is helped by the video card only for accelerated effects.

  • Lastpass doesn't install into firefox 18. I'm using win 8 pro 64 bit.

    I have ie 10, firefox 18, and the latest version of chrome on my win 8 pro 64 bit os. I first used the universal installer for lastpass password manager to install lastpass on all my browsers. It showed up fine in ie and chrome but there was no sign of it in firefox 18. I checked the toolbars under the view tab and there was no sign of it. I've been using lastpass for about 1 1/2 yrs now and this is the first time it didn't show up in one of the browsers. I tried reinstalling using the universal installer and I also tried just installing it in firefox through the addons. There is still no sign of it.     For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • I have an I Mac june 2009 24" type 9.1 can I install win 7 pro 64 bit via bootcamp?

    I had Win XP servicepack 3 installed via bootcamp. Recent OSX updates changed bootcamp and it supports now only Win 7.
    I was not informed about this change.
    So to be able to use my Win XP applications again I bought Win 7 Pro 64 bit OEM.
    The Cd wil work until I have to install and format the new ceated partition.
    I cannot choose between FAT or NTFS the installation continues and Woindows will be unpacked.
    The counter remains on (0)
    Nothing happens further
    What is wrong?
    PLS somebody with a solution?

  • Can't connect to MySQL in DW CS5.5 on Win 7 Pro 64-bit...

    I hope you can help me. I used Dreamweaver CS3 for some years on my former Windows XP Pro 32-bit laptop. Everything worked just fine with updating files to my webhotel and view my MySQL-databases within Dreamweaver. I use classic ASP and the MySQL 5.1/5.5 driver. Then a few months ago I upgraded to CS5.5, but everything still worked fine, as I were used to. BUT then I got a new laptop with Win 7 Pro 64-bit. I installed everything including all MySQL drivers, but I can't connect to my databases within Dreamweaver anymore. :-((( I get a connection error (Unable to retrieve tables from this connection, click on the 'Define...' button to test this connection.).
    Do note, that there's nothing wrong with my connectionstring. My webdatabases works just fine, but DW can't figure out to connect. Is it DW on Win 7 or is it a question about how to configure MySQL on my computer? I installed the full package from Sun/MySQL.
    I hope you can help me! It's so annoying that I can't use the feature to drag variables from my databases into my pages.

    if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
    if you're using a dvd to install:
    copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.

  • Staging a T410I with Win 7 pro 32 bit via SCCM

    I have a T410I (2516-73U) that came with Windows 7 64-bit Pro. My goal is to use Microsoft SCCM to load a base OS (Win 7 Pro 32-bit) and then the drivers in its modular approach. Have had success with a Dell model just recently. However, when following the same approach with the T410I it loads the OS and than all but the Intel(R) Graphics HD drivers come through. The error in device manager is "Resource conflict (code 12)". It doesn't allow you to change the I/O resources manually either. Tried via safe mode with no luck as well. It's worth mentioning that I have 4 of these and have replicated this across more than one.
    I then load the Lenovo system update tool. However, it states it is unable to update the drivers. In order to rule out SCCM, I manually took a Windows 7 32 bit install cd and walked through the manual install. Then loaded the NIC driver and then the system update tool. It grabs all the drivers but once again we are back to the "resource conflict (code 12)".
    Lastly, I was shipped the 32-bit recovery cds and reloaded one. After a network card driver update being needed, it loaded. I then proceeded to extract the drivers to load into SCCM and reload them manually (2 different system tests). However, the same results, "Resource conflict (code 12)".
    Any suggestions as to why or if their is a driver load order dependency or a 32bit vs 64bit handling of resources or ? and obviously if anyone had successfully used SCCM against this line?

    It's not the OS - W764Pro can run 32-bit software fine in emulation. Your problem is that there is no 32-bit version of CC. It was widely circulated before release that this was going to be 64-bit only, and that you would need bridging software to run old 32-bit VST plugins.
    Apparently, jbridge works fine once you've got it installed and everything in the correct place. I wouldn't know though, because I don't use it - I only use a small number of 64-bit plugins directly. On those few occasions that I want to use a 32-bit plugin, I run it in CS6 Audition (which isn't the CC version, but is 32-bit). So yes, if you have the 32-bit program you can run them in that. Both versions of the software will co-exist quite happily on the same machine, and won't interact at all - except that you have to be careful with your sound device settings.

    Trying to install Cisco VPN client 5.0.07.0290 on new and clear Win 7 Pro 64 bit, I get error 1720. There is a problem with this Windows Installer Package.A script required for this install to complete could not be run.
    I contacted Cisco support and they can´t help me yet. I am pretty desperate, been trying to get this done for  a long time.
    Somebody knows if  perhaps any version of AnyConnect could help me?

  • Adobe reader XI 11.0.05,running in Win 7 Pro 64-bit

    I have the black X upper left corner. When access a web sit , for example WWW.SSA.GOV and click in forms , then open a pdf link , a blank screen shows with a black x only. I tried many options to fix this problem but not success. If I try to open the same document in google chrome it opens perfect. So my problem is with IE, so Ireset the IE and no fix. I downgrade to IE10 , no fix. I downgrade to IE8 and installed  Adobe reader 9.5 and the web document open perfect. I don't want to leave this computer with IE8 and AR 9.5 ,I want to work IE11 with AR XI 11.0.05 . Please some suggestions? Just as information I tried disabling ActiveX filtering but no fix.     I ran WIN 7 Pro 32-bit and my K9N Diamond showed 3GB of RAM. 
    Now I'm running WIN 7 Pro 64-bit and it still shows 3GB of RAM.  I thought with 64-bit installed I'd see all 4GB of RAM?

    And now in addition.... now I'm even MORE certain that I'm correct....DIMM4 is bad....
    The CPU-z Tools Save Report names the DIMMs by name....1, 2, and 3...... #4 isn't listed.....  lookee here:

  • Win 7 pro 64 bit does not work nice with tv tuners

    my win 7 pro 64 bit will not work with three recommened tv tuners, though not specific to 64 bit . I know one works great withmy old 32 bit xp system. all three different recommended tuners crashed my system three times amd informed me the flash player that comes in the software is not compatable with my system. also flash player stand along in my system will not work right all the time. worked so well in my old system? any thoughts on this dilemma. really do not want to return my new diamond tv wonder hd 750 card. otherwise this system blazes very appy with it, thanks.

  • T500 Win 7 pro 64-bit drivers - hard drive device driver filename?

    I recently started an upgrade path with my T500.
    I purchase a new 500GB western digital drive. 
    Now I need to gather all the win 7 pro 64-bit drivers for my T500.
    I started the install of win 7 pro to see how far I could get, not far ... I am stuck currently searching for the proper device drive for my mass storage (which is NOT partitioned either - ideas on how to do that or should the win install program program give an option once I have the right driver(s)?)
    Do you know what the proper T500 win 7 pro 64-bit driver is I need?  I have tried a few with no luck yet.

    You shouldn't need any additional drivers to do an install of Win 7 on your T500.  You might add drivers later, but the Win 7 installer should get the initial install done without adding anything.  It certainly did on my T400.
    You might try setting the BIOS AHCI setting back to SATA (or whatever the non-compatibility mode is called.)  That shouldn't be necessary either, but it's worth a shot.  For that matter, just do a reset of your BIOS and try from there.
    BTW, once you have Windows installed, also install ThinkVantage System Update and use that to pull down the drivers and apps for your machine.

    I received the desktop update notification, tried to update it and kept getting this error message:
    I uninstalled the desktop  app, tried a clean install and I still keep getting this error message.
    I am also running another machine on Win 7 Pro 32 bit and I haven't had this issue.

    1) End all Adobe related process from Task Manager .
    2) Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
    Under Program and Features list, let me know whether you can see the option : Adobe Creative Cloud ?
    If not proceed with below steps.
    3) Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\"Common Files"\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
    Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
    4) Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
    Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.
    appdata
    Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
    Note : Disable Anti-Virus and Firewall temporarily
    5)
    Click on the below link and download Adobe Application Manager and install the same .
    http://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe/creativesuite/cc/win/ApplicationManager9.0_all.exe
    6)Once installed , it will create Adobe Application Manager shortcut icon on Desktop .
    Double click on it.
    It will start update process and gets updated to Creative Cloud.
