Tecra Z50-A can't see mobile broadband in the network

Windows 8.1 does not recognize Sierra LTE mobile braodband on my Tecra Z50-A.
There is no software on the support site of Toshiba. Neither Sierra Drivers nor AirCard watcher.
Can not see the hardware in my hardware manager.
Can't see mobile broadband in the network area.
Need help!!!

double-click the TC00640900B.ex file
Toshiba Archive Extractor pops up
lots of files will be extracted.
Windows Popup "Will you accept...." Mark "Yes" - Popup closes than nothing will happen!

I believe I've set up my local network just fine, but I can't see my desktop PC in the network.
The PC can see the Mac, but the PC won't show up on the network listing.

What's the IP addresses (on the local net) for both machines? Does the Windows machine have file sharing turned on? Which OS is on it, XP Home, XP Pro, Vista, something else?

Mac Mini and MacBook can't 'see' each other on the network

I have an 'old' Mac Mini set up to the Airport Extreme base station via ethernet cable and can happily connect to the internet. I also have a MacBook that connects wirelessly to the AEBS. A couple of things frustrate me..
Although I can connect to the internet from the Mini the Airport Utility can rarely find the base station so any diagnostics are impossible.
Also, the two macs are unable to find each other over the network. Both have personal file sharing turned on in the prefs. Occasionally the MacBook identifies my Mini on the network but when I try and connect (clicking on the alias) i get the "the alias XXX's computer could not be opened, because the original item cannot be found".
This is frustrating as I would like to share/copy files over the network.
Is there something simple I am missing?

A couple of things to check.
The Mini will need to have file sharing turned on.
And the appropriate holes in its firewall set.
It should be assigned its IP number by DHCP.
It should not be plugged into the WAN port on the
AEBSn.
Using Terminal (on the mini)
You should be able to PING the other computer,
And you should be able PING a computer on the
internet.
ie. apple.com

File sharing is on and firewall is off. As I mentioned I have connection to the internet and can ping apple.com. It is not plugged into the WAN port on the AEBSn - the modem is plugged in there. The IP is assigned by DHCP
I can ping the macbook (when the alias is in Finder) but I get a "connection failed...server may not exist or it is not operational at this time. Check the server name or IP address and try again" when I try to connect.

Why can i see my laptop on the network from my tower?

ok, my laptop is sitting next to me with the sharing preferences turned off. it is hooked to the internet via LAN (not even my internet router), and my tower is here hooked up via ethernet to my own modem. so my laptop is on the internet through a completely different internet connection, and my tower is hooked up hardline to my own modem. when i'm on the tower and go to network, i can see my laptop and look through all the files. why is this? i want my laptop to be blocking everyone.....? what do I need to turn off? thanks

Along with the other user's excellent suggestions,
I'd also go in to the laptop's sharing preferences, and toggle them on and off again.
And then restart that mac.
PS-I'm not quite clear on your network arrangement (LAN, not router....ethernet via modem...hardline? huh? :/...)
What precisely do you mean "completely different internet connection?

My G5 can't locate other computers on the network

It's weird it can find the internet and networked printers but NO other computers at all. Furthermore other computers on the network have no problem finding each other or this specific computer.
Any ideas?

I would think you'd feel right at home on a mac under it's covers I myself have been a real Unix sysadmin for 18 years and played on all types of enterprise hardware, believe me, Macs are easy to fiddle with. Most of the time, when someone can't see other machines using the network browser,it's because some tool disabled NFS. Check your /etc/hostconfig for the automounter line and also check in the /Library/StartupItems and make sure NFS gets hit when the box starts.
I know if I kill my automounter, all the network mounting stops.

Laptop can't locate my C6180 on the network.

I completed a full factory reset to my HPG60t-600. I tried to use the setup disc that came with the printer but received a "non supported" message. So then I downloaded and ran the HP printer installation tool (HPPIW). My printer is connected to the network as verified by its screen confirmation and Network Test Report. My laptop is connected to the network (as verified by my ability to enter this forum), However, the computer is unable to locate the printer on the network. I am using MicroSoft 7 - 64 bit and printer will work when connected to the laptop with a cable.

Can you see a image in the Get Info Window?

After upgrading to Mt LIon and while using CS6, I can't see image previews in the Get Info window. Can't see images in the upper left corner of the get info window, so I can't make a selection and then do a copy- paste like I could do before I upgraded to Mt Lion with CS6. I want to be able to paste a image of the subjects in my folders.. IE folder of Panda Bears would have a image of a Panda showing on that folder. Folder of The Great Wall would have a image of the Great Wall on the Folder of Great Wall pictures. This has always worked for the past many years I have used a Mac and Photoshop. I started with Photoshop 2. All my photo folders are represented by images so I have a good idea of what is contained in each folder. Now after 2 weeks in China, 20 folders are represented by 10-11-12, 10-12-12, 10-13-12, 10-14-12 and so on. Shows me nothing but dates. I have tried saving as Jpeg, Tiff, and PAD, and still can't do a copy-paste in the Get Info window. Apple says it is a Adobe problem, Yesterday Adobe told me it is because I am uusing a Nikon D800 and Adobe does not have a patcdh for the NEW Nikon camera. I then tried using my Nikon D2Xs, Nikon D3X, Nikon 800 and even my wife's D50 and none of these camera allow me to copy paste the thumbnail image to the clipoboard like I have been able to do for YEARS... I can see images in a folder in Bridge, but the images dont show in my desktop folders.IE, a folder on my desktop with 200 pictures only show with words/ numbers/letters NO IMAGES appear in the folders on the desktop. On some folders the folders in a folder don't show up as Folders either.
Can Any one help me. Same thing happens on my MACPRO w 16 GB Ram and on my 17" MacBook Pro.

It's obvious to a child that if Photoshop CS5 can write the proper things to the Apple OS so that the thumbnails are visible, that there's something Adobe could do to fix it.
But EVEN IF this were something only Apple could fix, that Apple hasn't fixed it yet says pretty loudly that Adobe isn't making the right overtures to Apple for their mutual benefit. Adobe, are your executives so greedy that they can't grease a few palms of their friends over at Apple to put some priority on this? What's the problem here? Has Adobe actually forgotten how to do business?

P.S., You should know that I don't use a Mac and am personally having no issues with seeing proper thumbnails and previews on my Windows 7 and 8 systems, since the software that does that isn't from Adobe.

The Mozilla WHITE start page is blocking the upper left Firefox to Print to Print Preview, so i can not see what is on the Printer Glass

The BIG WHITE MOSTLY BLANK , MOZILLA START PAGE was blocking my use of PRINT PREVIEW, from the orange "Firefox" in the upper left corner.
I was told i was using an out of date version of Firefox.
But no "click here to update".
So i downloaded the new edition of Firefox.
And still, i can not see PRINT PREVIEW, because the large white screen of the MOZILLA START PAGE is blocking it.
I have selected a background wallpaper, so would rather not see ANY of the BIG WHITE START PAGE, at all !!

Do you have a Mac or idevice for setting up the Express? It does require a later utility than is available for windows.
You might be able to setup with the v5 utility in windows but there is no guarantee.
You should use a simple name both for the base and the wireless. eg AEXgen2 base name and AEXwifi for wireless name.. that is if you get access.

What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly.

I have a similar problem when accessing .zip files that are attachments to my emails. Here, however, I can place the file in a designated folder, however, the .zip file and it's compressed content files are file-typed as "FireFox Document" and I get permissions errors when running an unzip tool.
Why are my download files being quarantined ??? Is there a security setting option I need to change???
To get around this, I'm using IE to download and install these files, but switching back & forth between FireFox & IE is a real pain.

Exporting an EDL or copying and pasting a timeline into a bin gives a complete list of the clips in a sequence, but what I really would like is a list of the files used, without any duplications due to multiple clips from a single reel. Is there any quick way to automatically generate such a list?
