TEHO Service in India
Hi,,
from our office india , we want to make international calls in via and vice versa (by using our MPLS and corresponding voicegateways in our offices). But i dont't know the legal requirements for this scenario.
Can any one help me with this pls.

Try to see with the TELCO if its possible. Some countries blocks is not permitted to use TEHO. Follow the link bellow to more informations.

After 04 months of purchase of iphone 5 the lock button is too hard. At times its not working at all. The phone has been purchased in USA now I'm not getting service in India. After all whats the point in spending so much amount without any service.
The warranty says that Apple may restrict service of an iPhone to the country of sale, and any reliable salesperson will tell you that if you tell them that you plan to use the iPhone in another country. Such service restrictions are common with cellphones and are by no means limited to Apple's phones.
Sorry, but if your iPhone requires service, you will need to send it to someone you know in the US who can get it serviced and then send it back to you.

How does the quality of service in India compare to the United States?
I am currently in India and 12 hours from the closest Apple service center in Delhi. After the monsoon rains started my computer started acting up. At first some keys seemed to stick and I was able to solve the problem by attaching a USB keyboard. Lately the computer started crashing and then having trouble starting up again (an internet search suggests this could be a problem with the RAM). If I left the computer for a while it would start up and operate well for a bit but eventually crash again.
I took the computer into a computer repair shop here and he said that I should wait (3 months) until I go back to the United States rather than go through the trouble of traveling to Delhi to get the computer repaired. He also said that the quality of repairs is much better in the US. For example, in India they will put in second hard refurbished hardware whereas in the US they will use new hardware. The repairs in India will also take much longer than it would in the US. He recommended I get a cheap PC from him to use while I am here and get my mac repaired when i get back to the United States, he would then buy the computer back when I left.
I was wondering if anybody could share their experience or knowledge of the quality of service in India. Thank you.And another quote from the fine manual:

When rendering a group of preview images, Aperture uses the current application preference settings for compression quality and picture size, not the settings that were specified when preview rendering began. For example, if you have the quality set to 6, and then halfway through rendering you change the setting to 8, the previews that have not yet been rendered will be compressed at setting 8. Previously rendered previews are unaffected.
So, a high quality slideshow will require high quality previews, and indeed Aperture will render previews before rendering a slideshow, if the preview quality is not sufficient.

<Personal Information Edited by Host>You can't. The warranty on the iPhone has NEVER been international. You will need to bring the phone to Thailand (or send it to someone you know there to bring it to Apple) for servicing.

the same problem happened to me also, i felt that while playing hay day, if some calls came in between and if i answered the call, the setting of all the icloud items turns off. (i have backup of all the items on icloud), after deleting the account and making settings of mail, contact, calander etc on on mode and after rebooting the phone, it again download from icloud server. but it is just a headache. do not know how to handle this.

Would I have to face any difficulty for servicing in India if I purchase my macBook from Germany?
I shall be staying in Germany for a duration of 3 months during this summer where I wish to purchase an Apple MacBook Air/Pro. As customization is not possible in India, I would like to purchase it from there. In case I have any issue with my mac in India after I purchase it from Germany, would I have to face any difficulty for servicing in India?

How to get iphone purchased from USA serviced in india?
i purchased an iphone 4s from usa (factory unlocked) and brought it to india. Recently i upgraded to ios6 and since then my phone is facing problems. My battery lasts only for about 4 hours and my usage is not at all extensive. Any application i use quits unexpectedly. Both these problems have come up only after the upgrade. Apple is suggesting i ship my phone to usa. But i want to know if there's any way i can get it serviced in india. i have already tried restoring my phone and it does not help. pls suggest a solution.

Purchased an iPhone in USA while on Vacation. The phone would not start. The APPLE customer service in India would not provide the desired service. They advised me to send this phone to the country of Purchase for which I have no option. Please advise if there is any other way out or I cremate the phone for good?
Surprisingly the apple site when the serial number is keyed in says that the service is available in India as well. But sadly the personnel on the phone says that the information is incorrect and that Apple has not dispalyed the correct information on the site. Please advise what to do.There is no catch. Apple offers international warranty on some products i.e. iMac, MacBook Pro etc but excludes the iPhone. This question has been asked and answered numerous times on these forums and if you do a search you will find the advice is consistent in that there is no international warranty on the iPhone.

I am planning to buy unlocked version of iphone 5 from US through authorized store and will be using the same in India. However, since Apple talks about providing the 1 year warranty, would like to know if anything happens to my iphone, will apple be able to service it in India through authorized apple store?Warranty is NOT International.
Warranty is limited to the country of origin.
If you purchase an iPhone in the US, it will only be serviced and the warranty will only be valid in the US.
Save yourself the hassle buy the device in the country that you intend to use it. -

P.Sathish KumarIn India one need to configure pppoe for connecting BSNL DataONE broadband. So here is a reference quick guide to setup pppoe for BSNL DataONE
SUNW ppp packages should be already available for you. If you didn't install, you need the following packages. Install them from Solaris CD.
Packages
SUNWpppd - Solaris PPP Device Drivers.
SUNWpppdr - Solaris PPP configuration files.
SUNWpppdt - Solaris PPP Tunneling.
SUNWpppdu - Solaris PPP daemon and utilities.There will be a file myisp.tmpl in /etc/ppp/peers directory. Copy the file to a filename /etc/ppp/peers/bsnl
~# cp /etc/ppp/peers/myisp.tmpl /etc/ppp/peers/bsnl
Note the conventions used here
USERNAME - is your BSNL id eg (userid)
PASSWORD - provided by bsnl (*****)
INTERFACENAME - is your ethernet card name eg (bge0, hme0....) Edit /etc/ppp/peers/bsnl file using an editor. The uncommented section should look like the following:
Where INTERFACE should be your ethernet interface name and USERNAME is your broadband user name.

Hi,
I am writing to bring to your attention a serious issue I had with your product. My brother bought one iPhone 4, 16 gb mobile phone from US last year and gifted me in India. In few months it had a problem with its home key. I took the phone to service service center and they told me that your phone is having hardware problem and as the phone is under warranty cannot be replace in India. You can come back when this is out of warranty. Now few days back when i walk again to the service center they stated that this phone we cannot repair here in India because of this phone purchased from US.
This a total disgraceful service from such a big brand like apple.
I hope to hear back from you about this incident.

country of original purchase. Since iPhone was bought in the US,
you must return the iPhone to the US. That means you must personally bring
the iPhone to Apple in the US or send it to a friend/relative in the US for them
to take to Apple. After replacement, your friend can ship it back to you. Shipping
and insurance costs are your responsibility.
Apple does not accept international shipments for evaluation/repair
and will not ship replacements out of the country. -
Following an ongoing intermitant outage over the last two weeks and many long calls to India we waited in all afternoon for a visit from an engineer who didn't show. After another 1/2 hour call the explanation was that they have an email outage and the engineers haven't been getting their appointments. Has anyone else heard this today?
