Bonjour,
Suite à un changement de dique dur sur imac mi-2010, la maintenance m' a reinstallé snow leopard.
A fin de restaurer ma sauvegarde time machine, je dois repartir sur mountain lion.
or, la procédure est impossible car j'ai l' impossibilité de télécharger mountain lion sur Mac app store. Message : produit non disponible sur store france.
Pour info, je suis bien sur compte Apple puisque je peux accéder à mes achats.
Pouvez vous m'indiquer la demarche à suivre.
car la maintenance "apple" de mon secteur n'a pas réussi à me donner une réponse.

Ouvrez les Préférences Système> Sécurité et confidentialité> Général
Cliquez sur le coin inférieur gauche de l'icône de verrouillage du panneau. Vous pouvez être invité à entrer votre mot de passe admin.
Sélectionnez: Mac App Store et les développeurs identifiés
Cliquez sur l'icône de verrouillage pour empêcher d'autres changements puis essayez l'App Store.Ouvrez les Préférences Système> Sécurité et confidentialité> Général

Possibly nothing. The whole thing relies on the amount of people currently doing the same thing as you and also your internet connection, remembering that WiFi is extremely slow.
How far through the download is it? If it's nearly done and at least still moving along I would be inclined to leave it. If not then you can stop it and start it all over again. Just be warned that if it is simply a connection issue then you might just be re-starting your clock
PS - I've seen the download take over 60hrs before.

Mais au cours du telechargement de Mountain Lion, "une erreur est survenue", comme l'indique l'App Store dans la rubrique "Achats", Probablement à cause de la connection internet qui rame?
Pas moyen de relancer le download.

Restart your mac in Safe Mode by holding down the 'shift' key while it powers up. You'll know if you've entered Safe Mode correctly if you see a progress bar underneath the grey Apple logo screen. Let go of the shift key when you see that, wait for the progess bar to complete then log in.
After log in, go to
 > System Preferences... Users & Groups and remove everything from the 'Login Items' tab.
If you have any anti-virus software installed (Sophos, F-Secure, VirusBarrier, Mackeeper) uninstall it while in Safe Mode.
Restart your mac normally and test.

Ive just upgraded my late 2009 macbook, and things are not working properly. First of all, when I started the computer first time after installing Mountain Lion, some message advised me that some files were impossible to install.

First of all, when I started the computer first time after installing Mountain Lion, some message advised me that some files were impossible to install. Once I wrote my password, and for now on, everytime I start the session, another window advise me that "Java SE 6" is missing, due that, the computer can't run some "CS5Service Manager". If I try to install it, the download ends with an error. If finally, you skip the istallation, you arrive to the dock, but the menu bar at the top of the screen doesn't show up.
In addition, my trackpad doesn't works either. I can move the arrow but i can't click anywhere, probably because the option of clicking by touching is disabeled and I can't performance a regular click.
I'll be very glad if someone know what the heck is happening with my computer. Anyway, I'm going to the genius bar next Saturday. Thx!

Error downloading Mountain Lion, impossible to restart [SOLVED]

I just wanted to drop an issue that I had.
I have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, that was covered by the free upgrade to Mountain Lion program. I received a correct coupon code, but while downloading, there was an internet problem. After, it was impossible to restart the download or erase any data.
The OS X Mountain Lion item in the App Store inside Purchased, was locked, with a black button and a red alert.
To fix the problem all I had to do is:
Log off from the app store
Delete every file in ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.apple.appstore.savedState/
Run App Store.app, and inside App Store
Log in again
Purchase again Mountain Lion, it will say that it's free (it has been previously purchased).
After that it will run again.

Try brining your MAC up in safe mode, download Mountain Lion, then restart your computer and install. Should work fine.

IPhoto update impossible after upgrading to Mountain Lion?

I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion today and when I subsequently went into the iCloud settings I was surprised to learn my version (9.1.3) of iPhoto was not capable of supporting iCloud. The information stated if iPhoto had not been installed from the App Store, then one should go the the apple icon in the top left corner and select "Software Update" from there. When I do that, it is reported I do not have an update available. However, if I open iPhoto and check for an update from its menu, it indicates an update (two, actually) is available but when I click the "Open Software Update" button, I am directed back to the App Store where...no update available is the information provided.
I would really like to use iCloud Photo Stream and is one of the reasons I ponied up $20 to "upgrade" to Mountain Lion. Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I have been a MS/Windows user for 20+ years and this initial exposure to difficulties with the Mac OS is not what I expected.

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. The purpose of this test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Try the download while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

You may need to buy the newest version from the App Store. If you cannot update via the App Store then you are using the version from a DVD. Updates for that can be downloaded from support.apple.com/downloads/.

You might try changing your Languages & Text settings to whatever they would be if you were in France (time zone, language, input methods, and so on) and see if that resolves the problem. I doubt that's the problem, but I figure it can't hurt to experiment with those sorts of settings just in case I'm wrong.
You might also try creating a new user account and see if it works in that account.

Connection to NAS impossible now since Mountain Lion - why?

I access a Western Digital MyBookWorld II (White Light) (MBW) from my MacBook Pro via a wireless router. I use it as a NAS and as a Time Machine backup source. Up until recently it all worked fine, but now it "disappears" from Bonjour after a short while of being connected and does not stay connected properly. Because it is not connected via Bonjour, Time Machine cannot find it. The problems seemed to start after I upgraded to Mountain Lion, but I cant be certain.
If I access the MBW device drives via Finder when it is connected properly to Bonjour, then everything is OK, but after a while, something happens, and it disappears from Bonjour and the drives are no longer visible, but then they will reappear in Finder but in a different manner than normal (and at this point Bonjour is still not connected).
I can access the MBW device admin menus any time through Safari (via IP address 10.0.0.7) and I can do diagnostics etc and all seems OK. If I do a MBW device reboot from here, it reboots OK and will actually reappear correctly in Bonjour again, but only momentarily before disappearing off Bonjour as mentioned earlier.
Bonjour seems to work OK for another device that I have connected which is a wireless printer connected to my home network.
The MBW has the latest firmware, I believe. The auto-check tool says that its up to date. My Macbook is fully up to date on OSX 10.8.2.
I have raised this with Western Digital and they have written back telling me that "this situation is caused from the fact that your drive uses smb (samba) to transfer the files and Mountain Lion does not support samba."
Can you assist me by advising me what my be causing this problem?Is the Western Digital advice correct? Is it the device? Is it Bonjour? Something else?

No. The information is wholly wrong, and partially irrelevant. The wrong and relevant part is that the backup volume is exported via AFP. Otherwise you'd never see it in Time Machine at all. The rest is both wrong and irrelevant.
Is it the device?
Search this site for reports of fiascos involving Time Machine and third-party NAS devices, that one in particular.
If you want to back up with TM over a network, use a device supported by Apple. That would be either a Time Capsule (not an AirPort base station with a USB drive attached) or another Mac.
Network backup, even with Apple equipment, is slower and less reliable than backup to a locally attached storage device.

Impossible to buy and download Mountain Lion OSX 10.8 / HELP !!! Please!!

Hey everyone, I've just had 1 problem today with not understanding that Mac Osx Lion isn't the same that Mac Osx Mountain Lion. My question got solved finaly. The thing is. I'm under OSX Lion 10.7.5 but I need the version Osx Mountain Lion 10.8.4 to make working my new version of Logic. (Logic X). I'm quiet pi..ed of that I was looking all the day and it isn't working from my App Store. I can't buy Mountain Lion and I can't download it. But any other app is working as I just randomly downloaded a cheap app. The message error is : Your Purchase Could Not Be Completed , We could not complete your request. There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (100) Please help to find out what the problem is. Cheers Y
