Telephone Number Links no longer work...and other issues

I received the 2.3.3, 4.5.608.A956, update a few feeks ago and since then I have noticed reduced functionality and after combing these forums and Motorola's forums I am curious if I am alone in these findings.
One) Before the update if I looked something up in Google or an app presented a phone number I could tap it and the phone would switch to the phone controls and would dial the number. Not anymore! Now if I tap a phone number the phone controls open but the number is not in the dial window.
Two) If you use the Motorola widget, Contact quick tasks, and have them displayed on one of your home screens and you use the physical keyboard, causing the screen to rotate 90 degrees, they get blurry! That's right the text is blurry on the screen. It overlays the text on top of itself twice but slightly offset so it looks blurry.
Anyone else seeing anything like this?

Step 1: power your bionic down
Step 2: hold volume up, down, and power simultaneously
Step 3: use the volume down to navigate to "recovery," use volume up to select
Step 4: you will get a screen with a triangle with an exclamation point, next to an Android. Press volume up and down simultaneously
Step 5: use the volume rocker to navigate to "wipe cache" and use the power button to select.
Step 6: after it has finished, use the volume rocker to navigate to "reboot system now" and use the power button to select.

Droid Bionic 4.04 update. SMS no longer works and other issues

Performed the 4.04 update yesterday (Made my phone at a ridiculously hot temperature and drained my battery from 90% to 5% within 1:30 , great thing to start downloading without a prompt). Ever since the update my text messages will not load at all. I have tried with the default application as well as Handscent SMS. The default text messaging application will just continue to show that it is "loading" and with an apple style while circle, while handscent will just have a black screen then crash after awhile. If I receive an incoming text message it does not show at all. (Handscent will normally create a popup message).
Also when I turn the screen on from being asleep, sometimes the touch screen will not work, I will either need to wait a few minutes to turn the screen off then on again or restart the phone entirely.
Anyone know a work around where I would not have to reinstall the OS again?
Please let me know if you guys need any more information.

Elite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update

DElite Pro, CMSS-3D not working and other issues after driver update Elite Pro CMSS-3D control (on I/O console)no longer controls CMSS-3D.
The only time it works is if the original drivers are installed from the installation CD.
ANY other drivers stop the control on the Elite Pro I/O console from having any effect on CMSS-3D.
Also at one time when I cotrolled volume, CMSS-3D(original drivers), EAX and Crystalizer from the Elite Pro I/O controls then I had on screen display of said control that was being moved(on I/O console).
Now regardless of what drivers are installed, there?are no longer any on screen indicators.
The indicators looked like the ones that show when using the remote controller.
Anyone have any ideas?

Twist charm swipes not working and other issues

Hi all,
I just got a new Twist a few days ago and am having some issues with it. I got it on line from Staples who have a very limited return policy so I need to get these problems resolved quickly or will have to return it in a few days. I really like it a lot and would hate to return it and deal with the replacement, double charge on my CC until they get the defective Twist and refund the bucks, not to mention the shipping hassles.
I've installed all updates including the Lenovo updates, updated the Bios, did a factory refresh and went through the update process all over again and also calibrated the screen.
So the problems I'm seeing are the swipes from top to close an app, left to view open apps, and right for the charms will intermittently stop working but you can still tap on apps to open them and slide the app screen left \ right.
The other issue is that occasionally the app screen will shrink and expand or open an app without being touched, I would have it on a stand in tablet mode and watch it expand \ contract, and suddenly bring up an app like Remote Desktop. I contacted Lenovo support they said it was a hardware issue and recommended returning it but I'm reluctant to do this and hope there's a solution for it.
I did notice was that moving to portrait mode would usually work to bring back the swipe functionality. Digging into it a bit more, I think I found the root cause, when it is in tablet mode with the keyboard folded back, the keyboard isn’t getting fully disabled, watching it closely I noticed that a cursor would sometimes appear \ disappear momentarily.
Any thoughts or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

okay, let's make really sure it is the entire iTunes folder. a typical one looks like this on the inside

anyhoo, if indeed the entire iTunes folder is on the external, simply drag it from there to <MacintoshHD>/users/<yourname>/music on the new Mac.
since a folder by the same name is already in that location, the finder will tell you so and ask you if you want to "replace it with the one you're moving". confirm that you want that.
when the copying has finished, fire up iTunes and you should be taken to the exact same library you were used to from your old Mac.
finally, go iTunes > preferences > advanced and check that +iTunes media folder location+ is set correctly - it should point to the iTunes folder on your new Mac's startup disk. if it doesn't, change it accordingly.

Microphone doesn't work and other issues

Hi there,
My name is Veena. I recently purchased a sony Xperia Z3 from carphone warehouse and i am now experiencing problems with the microphone.
I have run all the diagnostic tests and the microphone one keeps failing- i can not hear the message being played back.
I have been really careful with the device and to my knowledge i have not dropped it; nor has it been anywhere near any water.
Without having to physically taking it to be repaired is there anything i can do to resolve it??
Also sometimes when i try to take photos the camera sometimes closes the camera app and goes back to the home screen.
Many of the apps stop responding eg my accuweather app- i have sent many reports regarding this one.
The email app takes too long to respond and when deleting emails i have to close the app completely then re enter for it to "restart."
All in all im not a happy customer!!
If you have any advice it would be really appreciated.

My Relative links no longer work in Captivate 7

My Relative links no longer work in Captivate 7. They worked in the 5.5 versions of the exact same lessons. But they do not work after saving and re-publishing in Captivate 7. What's up with that? Any suggestions?
Just found out from Adobe it's a reported bug that is not yet resolved...

This is typically an issue of setting the web preference in the WINDOWS preferred programs. In Win7 this is accessed from Control Panel>Default Programs>Set Program Access...>Custom. Maybe these options will give you an idea of the problem.

Previously, when I clicked onto an email link, my gmail would open up.
Now, nothing happens.

Please do the following. 
#Open Microsoft Internet Explorer and then click '''Tools '''and go to '''Internet Options'''. 
#Click the ''Programs ''tab and where you see "Email", choose your email client. 
#Remove the checkmark from where it says "''Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser''" in the same menu. 
#Click Apply/OK and close Internet Explorer.

Why do podcast album view links no longer work in iTunes 11?

I've recently updated to iTunes 11, and now the podcasts I have that contain links no longer work. What can I do?

Duplicate your copy of iTunes 10.x before upgrading to iTunes 11 (or restore it from a backup) and use iTunes 10.x to listen to (and in particular access the links in) podcasts. Further, file a bug with Apple that these links don't work when the album art is displayed in the album art mini-player.

Google Application Links No Longer Work in Safari

Hello,
It seems something is up. Google application and profile links no longer work in Safari 7.0. I downloaded Chrome for OS X and they work perfectly fine in that. So is it Google trying to gain more share of the browser market by modifying there code or is it a Safari update that recently broke the functionality? All I know is I have had to download a different browser to get my google mail working.
If you want to test, go to your gmail and try to click the google applications icon near the top right. Nothing will happen in the latest Safari. Now try it again in Chrome and guess what! This used to work perfectly. More importantly is the profile icon (far top right, usually your picture) which allows you to login/logout/switch google mail accounts also will not work at all which makes it impossible to use this with Safari.
Apple you may want to track down what changed as this will impact your browser's market share if its is not fixed asap. I will come back and try Safari again in a week and see if they have fixed anything. For now, sadly its off to Chrome for me.
If you would like me to provide any diagnostic information I am more than happy to assist in this matter.

Its a Safari bug. Go fullscreen and the icons work fine. Now go back to non-fullscreen and they dont work.

That is just a link to what is already on this website. I don't know what any of that stuff MEANS. Tell me what to click on in my computer, if you know. I THINK it has Windows 8.1 but don't know how to tell. I was nagged into installing 8.1 and didn't like it and tried to uninstall it but I think it is still there. The hyperlinks were still working long after that. Now, suddenly, google chrome doesn't work, hyperlinks in emails (only) don't work. I don't know how to "reset" anything. This was working fine; now it isn't. I didn't do anything different, and every time I get a message it directs me to click on a hot link and my problem is that hotlinks in my e-mails are NOT WORKING!!! HELP!!!

It downloaded all my contacts, photo's with no problem. I called the number they gave me from my old phone and then turned it off. I then put the sim card in and charged the phone. I followed all the setup steps and no I cannot send any text or make any phone calls. I get a message that they cannot authenticate my phone to dial #8899 but get the same message.

Mailto: link no longer works

After working tfor the years the code for adding a email link no longer works. What's going on? For example this piece of code worked fine for years <a href="mailto:[email protected]">Email</a>. Now when I try to use the link my email programs opens up fine but in the place where the email address goes it includes the the full mailto:[email protected] where the email address goes rather than just the email address.

Mailto links are inherently unreliable for several reasons:
The end user must have an mail client like Outlook installed on their device. Most webmail users don't need an email client anymore preferring to log-in to their accounts with a browser. If your end user has no email client, nothing will happen when they click the mailto link.
Spam. Email links are a neon sign for robot email harvesters who will bombard your inbox with unwanted spam mail.
People who use computers in public libraries, schools or community centers won't be able to use your mailto links.
For best results, use an HTML contact form with a server-side script that processes form data and sends it to your email address. Preferably a script that is secure and has built in spam prevention.
