Telepresence Conductor OBTP scheduled conferences and TC endpoints registered to CUCM

Dear community,
I am experiencing an interesting issue with TP Conductor based OBTP scheduled conferences and the behavior of TC software based endpoints natively registered to CUCM.
Software versions:
- TelePresence Conductor XC2.2.1
- CUCM 9.1.2
- TMS 14.3.2
- TC 7.0.2
Scheduled conferences are configured as OBTP and the Conductor is the preffered MCU in routing.
Behind the Conductor is a TelePresence Server 7010 appliance.
The Conductor Alias Pattern is 805%, priority 100, is immersive is not checked, the generated regular expression is (805[^@]*).*
Numeric ID Base for the alias is 10, Numeric ID Step is 1, Numeric ID Quantity is 9.
When scheduling conferences with TMS, TMS is generating numbers in this sequence:
80510, 80511, 80512, etc.
In CUCM, the Conductor IP alias for rendezvous is a destination of a SIP trunk, and there is a
route pattern 8051X
pointing to it.
The conference alias in Conductor is
(805[^@]*).*
With OBTP and CTS software based endpoints everything works well, these 8051X numbers are pushed to the MIDlets of the IP Phone or Touch 12" and the endpoints connect to the telepresence server scheduled conference.
With the TC software based endpoints, when selecting Join now on the conference reminder pop up screen with the remote control, the endpoint is dialing both:
80510@<CUCM-IP-Address> and
[email protected]
where example.com is the CUCM cluster domain.
The TC endpoint then somehow automatically connects with two sessions to the telepresence server which is extremely awkward.
When pushing the red disconnect button on the remote control, I have an option to disconnect all calls, or disconnect the first or second call to the same dialed alias 80510@<CUCM-IP-Address>. If I disconnect one of the calls everything is OK.
But then, how come the TC based endpoint initates two calls in parallel to the Conductor and then Telepresence Server ?
Has anybody experienced a similar issue ?
If I manually dial 80510 everything is fine, the endpoint dials
80510@<CUCM-IP-Address> and it connects successfully.

Hello Patrick,
Thank you very much for the input.
I also have the
log ctx SIPStack debug 9
from the endpoint when initiating the call. I can provide it to you privately.
Did not have enough time to get the traces from CUCM but will also check them.
If we are really hitting a bug, I will have to quickly do a workaround removing the Conductor from scheduling and trying directly with the TelePresence Server.

  • Cannot create conference via TelePresence Conductor

    Hi All,
I've configured SIP trunk to TP Conductor and add 1 TP Server to TP Conductor. When i call from endpoint registered to CUCM to TP Conductor, i get Internal Server Error (from Call History). I check the event log, i get Unauthenticated source. Does anybody have any idea?
    Thanks.

With virtual TelePresence Server you won't be able to manage or create conferences directly on the TP Server, you must use Conductor in order to create and configure conferences.  The virtual TP Server is identical to Multiparty Media 310/320, to see how the virtual model differs from the other TP Server models they are listed in the Cisco_TelePresence_Server_on_Virtual_Machine_Release_Notes_3-1x, bottom of pg 2.
To learn more about TelePresence Sever remotely managed mode in use with Conductor, you can read more about it in the Cisco_Telepresence_Server_Release_Notes_3-0_2-48, pg 2.

  • Is WebEx Enabled TelePresence supported with Expressway Core and Edge?

Is WebEx Enabled TelePresence supported with the Expressway Core and Edge instead of using a VCS Control and Expressway? This is one thing I'm not sure of, as the scheduled conferences will have to register to the Expressway Core and wasn't sure if this was possible.

    Hi,
It is supported, see the following release notes here:

Expressway-E/C use is also covered in the deployment guide:

  • Cannot make video conference using Cisco TelePresence and Conductor, registered to CUCM

    Hello,
    We've got CUCM 9.1.2, Conductor XC3.0.2 and TP 4.1(1.79).
The conductor is configured as ad hoc and as rendezvous on the CUCM, Using secure SIP trunk (TLS)
When we try to make a video conference as rendezvous the call is been initiated as audio only.
When we try to merge 2 p2p video calls with third call for ad hoc conference, we get an error that the merging is failed
Our end points are SX10 and SX20.
On the SIP logs it seems like the CUCM is replying with ACK message without Video capabilities even though the conductor is suggesting those capabilities.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!!!

    I will try to.
The region and location are configured for video capabilities.
What else can cause the CUCM to reject video?

  • Scheduling conference on CONDUCTOR using API

    Hi,
We're trying to use the Conductor programming interface (API) in a JAVA script.
The way the Conductor is handling conference creation using "factory.conferencecreate" is very strange.
We want to create Scheduled conference , with PIN code .
    Some questions :
    * Where do we have to specify the template we use for this creation ?
    * Does the creation of a conference mean one Alias and one (unique) Template per conference ? As the Template contains the pin code
    * Sometime we managed to create a conference but it disappears five minutes later ( with no pin code for test)
    * We don't use "on the fly" conference, just scheduled.
Thank in advance for your advices

  • Using a trusted application endpoint to initiate a scheduled conference

I am trying to develop a UCMA 4.0 application on top of Lync 2013 whereby I use a trusted application endpoint to create a scheduled conference. Prior to the conference I would like to send the details of when the conference will take place and how to connect
via mail.  During the process of the conference I would like to be able to invite users ad-hoc by dialing out to them.
I have successfully managed to get the ad-hoc part of this functionality working using an app I developed based on the TrustedConferenceParticipant example in the UCMA 4.0 documentation, however I cannot get the trusted application endpoint to create a scheduled
    conference.
I did attempt to run the ConfernceManagement example, however even though the logs showed that all the audio-visual channels had been successfully created and connected, the actual Lync Clients received no invitation and were not connected to the conference.
Thanks in advance for any help.

  • TelePresence Conductor with Cisco TMS Deployment - the missing part

    Hello,
I am looking at the deployment guides for Telepresence Conductor XC3.0:
Cisco TelePresence Conductor with Cisco Unified CM Deployment Guide (XC3.0)
Cisco TelePresence Conductor with Cisco TMS Deployment Guide (XC3.0 with TMS 14.6)
To setup the TMS, the Conductor and CUCM for scheduled meetings.
The Doc #2, explains how to add the Telepresence Conductor to the TMS, create the scheduled conference alias and configure the conductor on the TMS
The Doc #1, explains how to setup the CUCM and the Conductor for ad-hoc and meet-me conference.
So it looks that there's a part missing. How do we setup the CUCM for the scheduled conferences managed by the Conductor?
With the Doc#2, I can create my scheduled meetings and get a conference SIP address, but how do my endpoints registered on my CUCM route to them. I guess I have to create a SIP trunk on my CUCM but to where? the main conductor IP ? A new location with a new VIP pointing to the same template as the conference alias ?
Another strange thing in the Doc #1, on page 87 of the documentation for Conductor XC3.0 it says:
    "Scheduled conferences
Scheduled conferences are not supported in TelePresence Conductor version XC2.4. It will be supported for Personal Multiparty Advanced in a future version of TelePresence Conductor software."

    Hi Matthieu,
I guess I have to create a SIP trunk on my CUCM but to where?
You would use a rendezvous location and build a SIP trunk to that location from CUCM to Conductor.
Another strange thing in the Doc #1
this is specific to the Personal Multiparty Advanced feature, looks like the version wasn't updated in the doc to XC3.0 for this line.

  • Allocating DDI's to TMS Scheduled Conferences

    Hi,
Does anyone know how to allocate DDI numbers to scheduled TMS conferences in deployments where voice gateways registered to CUCM are being used for PSTN connections and the MCU is being used with Conductor.
    This is the infrastructure involved:
    CUCM
    TMS
    Conductor
    vTPS
    Voice Gateways (registered with CUCM)
In the past when the 3241 ISDN Gateway was involved i used to be able to specify a DDI range on the MCU settings so it could allocate a DDI number to a scheduled conference as well as an internal E.164 numbers, these numbers were then presented in the conference confirmation email which could then be distributed.
I can't see any option in TMS now to specify a DDI range if Conductor is being used, the DDI range handled by the voice gateways doesn't directly match the number range handled by Conductor either, its manipulated in CUCM before it reaches conductor.
    Any advice would be great.
    Thanks.

    Hi Patrick,
on the Telepresence Server I see
2037 00:15:33.006 APP Info call 150: tearing down call to "[email protected]" - destroy at far end request; timeout
2036 00:15:33.006 CMGR Info call 150: disconnecting, "[email protected]" - timeout
2035 00:15:33.006 SIP Error call 150: Ending call due to INVITE transaction timeout
2030 00:15:00.927 APP Info call 150: new outgoing SIP call to "[email protected]:5073" from conference "5551000"
    And on conductor I see:
conferencefactory.controller: Level="INFO" Event="The SIP address of an out-dialed participant will be overridden on the target conference bridge if the bridge supports the 'toOverride' parameter." • Telepresence Conductor Install Wizard Not Starting.

    Hello all,
So I am trying to get an instance of Telepresence Conductor running in my environment.  I have deployed the .ova for both 3.0.2 and 2.4.1 on different ESX Hosts but regardless of the version or host when the appliance boots up and I log in with the default user and password it goes straight to the # prompt.  I never get prompted with the install wizard.
Anyone have any suggestions?  Is there a command to start the wizard manually?

If you're getting a # sign and not a prompt for the configuration wizard, it sounds like you've logged in under the root account.  Can you provide a screenshot to verify?
You should be logging in with username "admin", and password "TANDBERG" if this is brand new deployment.

  • TelePresence Conductor Clustering over WAN

    Hi Cisco,
We want to deploy Clustering of 3 Conductor servers (2 local) and 1 over the WAN in a different DC.
Based on clustering guide 2.x and 3.x it states we need 30 ms RTT between Conductor servers, currently we have 50 ms RTT. Does Conductor 3.0 supports higher RTT? What are the implications of deploying Conductor with higher RTT?
    http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/conductor/config_guide/xc3-0_docs/TelePresence-Conductor-Clustering-Unified-CM-Deployment-Guide-XC3-0.pdf
    Thanks

    Thanks Patrick,
I'm surprised this RTT is too low since Conductor just handle mostly signaling. Probably some under the hood DB requirement. I'm thinking of having 2 separate clusters, each in a different Data Center monitoring the same TPS. (Active/Standby), but CUCM will be configured to only select the "standby cluster"  when the "closest" Conductor cluster is unreachable.
Do you know if TPS 4.X in remote manage mode supports this scenario?
    Thanks

  • Is there a DIRECT link between SD schedule lines and delivery lines?

Is there a direct link (db table) between schedule lines on a sales order (VBEP) and the delivery lines (LIPS)?
Is there a function module to retrieve the data?
    Example-
One order line with 3 schedule lines.
Each schedule line is for 2 units (total of 6 units).
Three deliveries made.  1st is for 2 units, 2nd is for 1 unit (backorder), 3rd is for 3 units.
You can use document flow (table VBFA) or examine the SD document in the delivery line (LIPS) and link the delivery line to the order line.  The schedule line already references the order line.
I am using math to decrement the schedule lines used and make the link between VBEP and LIPS.  It works fine.  I need four records back....
1st schedule line for 2 units uses delivery 123
2nd schedule line for 1 unit (partial) uses delivery 124
2nd schedule line for 1 unit (partial) uses delivery 125
3rd schedule line for 2 units uses delivery 125
Like I said, it works. Just wondering if I missed a more direct link.

As far as Db link is concern , I don’t remember exactly , but 3 years before I had written a report which see Sales order schedule lines and devilry note lines against sales order.  If you see process wise…. when ever you create PO ( production order you assign some qty using 101 movement type .. and against production order you also give sales order . When you do delivery ( run seclude run ) it delivers against that material number , its movement is 601 ...
but I remember there’s a link between these tables, VBAP,VBFA AND VBEP , LIPS ...  against every sales order you can see sales invoice ( VBRP,VBRK) and you can also see your delivery note number in document flow .
I hope this’ll give you some guide line, as right now I can not tell you the exact business process but I remember I written a report in SD 4 years before , in which they required Delivery against production order and sales order ... One more thing you also have production order reference on delivery item number. ( field :Empst ) . I think in my project they were maintaining this field .
    Thanks

  • How to compare delivery date in schedule lines and PGI in outbound delivery

    Hi,
I want to create a report to monitor and compare different dates in sales and delivery process.
One of my key figure is the comparison between date confirmed to the customer, that I can find in the schedule line of the sales order, and the actual goods issue date from the outbound delivery.
But I can't succeed in making the link between delivery and schedule lines, means between LIKP and VBEP.
    Would you have any idea?
    Thank you.

It seems there's no exact (table) connection / link between delivery item and schedule line item.
Those who were searching for this thing (link / connection between delivery item and schedule line) were recommended to use FM "RV_SCHEDULE_CHECK_DELIVERIES".
This FM calculates the delivered quantity for each schedule line, so it makes link between the delivery item and schedule lines - however if you check the code it's quite sophisticated...
(if you put a breakpoint in the FM and display a SO in VA03, you can check how the parameters have to be populated with data).

  • Exit for role determination via exit for scheduling agreement and contract?

    Hi..
I have a requirement to fetch the agents in run-time for PO,PR,SCHEDULE AGREEMENT, CONTRACT..
    For PO i am using EXIT : - M06E0005
For PR release i am using EXIT :- M06B0001
By using above 2 exits i am getting the agents at run-time...
Same way i need the EXIT for SCHEDULE AGREEMENT and CONTRACT..
if there is any EXIT for this please share with me..
    Regards,
    Imtiaz Khan

    Hi Imtiaz,
Ideally you should have your agent determination logic in workflow itself instead of determinining them in EXIT.
Can you tell me why you are determining agents in exit and how you are making use of it ?
Also let us know how your workflows are getting trigger for all these documents.

    Pls tell me elaborately .
Also Pls explain me about service order and when can i go for service order . whether it is restricted to AMC ?
    Pls explain me elaborately.
pls explain me steps for creating contract or scheduling agreement and service order..........................

    Regards,
    Girish.

    Hi,
Contract is outline purchasing agreement where you have a contract with the vendor, may be a for a predetermined quantity or predefined value. So everytime you need the matl,  you need to make PO ref the contract asking for the delivery of the matl. In such instance when PO is ref with contract its called contract release orders or call off orders. So Process are ME01, ME11, ME31K with aggnrement type, ME51,ME21 & MIGO,
Scheduling agreement is a long term purchase agreement, where you will keep issuing the delivery schedules whenever there is a change in requirement or at predetermined time intervals. The delivery schedule can be on hour/daily/weekly/monthly basis. SA is also an agreement with the vendor for the supply of matl, may be a quanity or value. The delivery dates will be maintained in ME38 ref the SA which are called delivery schedules. So you can maintain the delivery schedule and communicate the vendor on Forecase basis or JIT basis. And when you need some more matl then will only create SA deliveries using ME38. SA could be of 2 types:- without release documentation-system will transmit the delivery info to the vendor once you save the document.
With release documentation- after creating the delivery schedules you need to create SA release using ME84.So Process are ME01, ME11, ME31K with aggnrement type, ME38 & MIGO,
Service order or service PO is created with item Category "D" and an account assignment category as per ur requirement. U can not enter ur material here only u have to maintain short text of material. Example: You want to clean the boiler and u given contract to your Vendor. Vendor sends quotation mentioning that Rs.100/hr/Man head. Now how you will measure the cleaning activities of furnace? You can pay to contractor based on the hourly basis/ man head spent in cleaning activities. So in this case create the Purchase Order mentioning "Cleaning" in the short text in Item overview(Acc assignment ' K' or “C” or “P” and Item category 'D) and item details " Man Head" Service No , Gross price - Rs.100.00 and unit - hour ( or pick from Service master) and Quantity-number of hours spent by all man head.
The steps to create Service PO are:
    1) Maintain Item Category as D & account assignment such as cost center “K”or slaes order”C”
    2) Keep material code field blank.
    3) Enter description of service & other fields in the PO Item Overview level. Press Enter.
    4) System will prompt you to maintain services at Item Level. Maintain your service master number / service description & other fields (quantity / rate /)
    5) Save the PO.

    1. I've created a profile say XXXX for 14 days JIT and 6 months Forecast. And I maintain the same on Scheduling Agreement additional data.
2.I'm creating delivery schedule respect ot Scheduling agrrement.
    3. I maintain the aggregation horiozon in creation profile as 10 days daily aggregation for JIT and 120 days for monthly aggregation for forecast.
4.I run MRP for the header material and I maintain the necessary SA number in Source list.
    5. After MRP run I'm not getting the respective schedule lines for JIT and Forecast.
    6. What is the use of creation profile in Scheduling Agrrement and schedule line and is it determine ant schedule lines after MRP run.
Please clarify me on creaion profile.
    Thanks in advance
