I need good & updated maps that do not require internet connection .Do you know @ an application ?

Have you tried searching the app store or doing a google search?
In the time it took you to register here and post your question, you could have already found an answer.

Map Loader 3 doesn't see Internet connection

Hi,
I have installed Map Loader 3 on my XP Pro sp3 workstation that is connected to the Internet via a Workgroup Server running MS SBS 2003 Premium. Whenever I start the Map Loader application it quits immediately with the error message "Connection to the map server has been interrupted. Make sure that your Internet connection is working and retry ...".
The workgroup server exposes a web proxy server (ISA 2004) that my browser uses to connect to the Internet.
What do I need to change/adjust so that Map Loader can also enjoy this otherwise fine connection?

It may be that your AV is blocking the suite. Add it to your whitelist.

Map Loader Bug Re. Lost Internet Connection

Don't really know how to alert the programmers behind the Map Loader software to a fairly major software bug.
If the internet connection is - even very briefly - interrupted for even a second, the Map Loader software gives an error message.
BUT - big problem - the map selection CLEARS so you can't resume from where you left. Nor can you see which maps had successfully downloaded while the connection was active, so you have to download the WHOLE list again.
Please update for the next release.

If you were using MAC filtering on your router, you would know how to fix this. If you do not know what it is, you do have have MAC filtering enabled on the router -- or you are not the router administrator. So -- don't worry about MAC filtering or go find the router administrator and ask to be let in (you will need the MAC address of the printer -- get a print out of the network page from the printer).

Loss of network connection
Ordinarily I would suggest you reinstall the Full Feature Software for the printer because the installation can resolve a variety of ills associated with a disconnected wireless printer.

You did say the printer lost Internet connection -- this is a bit different from losing connection from your home network. You seem to be implying that your printer has lost its ePrint connection without actually saying you have lost ePrint.
The following document can help with both a disconnected wireless printer that is not cooperating -- even after you have tried reinstalling the Full Feature Software, for example -- and the document has a link to the ePrint Help and Tips documents that might help you if the issue is just one of ePrint and an Internet connection having to do with the printer and its connection to that service.

Is there any way to specify a URL in the servlet-mapping that doesn't need to be in the directory structure?

          I migrated from WebLogic 5.1 to 7.0.2 Something I used to have set-up in 5.1 no

          I am using the weblogic.servlet.FileServlet and have the URL "/cxedocs/" mapped

          servlet. So whenever the URL http://localhost:7001/cxedocs/en_US/index.html
          is used it would use the docHome associated with the /cxedocs/ URL and then append
          the "en_US/index.html" on to it. So let's say d:\temp\en_US\index.html
          But now for WL 7.0.2 it appears that the URL also needs to be in the directory
          structure.
          So it now takes the docHome "d:\temp" adds the URL "/cxedocs/" and then appends
          the
          rest - so d:\temp\cxedocs\en_US\index.html.
          I can't require that the "cxedocs" directory be there. Is there anyway to map
          a certain URL
          without requiring it in the directory structure. I looked at virtual directory
          mapping too but
          it still seemed to require this.
          Any help would be appreciated!

          I opened up a case with support on this. After some research they came back with

          NO there is no way to do this. In 6.0 it was changed to follow the spec which
          restricts this.

World Map used in the 2012 WWDC  Keynote?

Hello. I'm trying to find the World Map graphic used by Tim Cook in the 2012 WWDC Keynote. Visible about 5:46 into the keynote video here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkRUE7S8pQI).
Specifically, he animates or uses 'magic move' to highlight certain countries he is talking about. Does anyone know where I can find a world map that would do this in Keynote?

iMovie includes some fairly high resolution world maps.
Go to Applications > iMovie > (Right Click) Show Package Contents > Contents > Resources > Map-*.jpg
Hold Option (alt) as you drag-and-drop the files you want to use, so it will move a copy.

Internet Connection through 90% of applications NOT working :(

So recently alot of my internet applications have stopped working. I use airport. My internet is connected to my computer and I know this because firefox, ventrilo, and video games such as warcraft 3 work using internet connection and my network preferences says that I have an IP and full bars. So the internet applications that don't work are safari, itunes store, my sophos updates, my software update (I am missing like 6 months worth of updates), etc. When I try to use the internet with these applications it will just say to check my internet connection or that I am not connected to the internet. I thought maybe it was a virus even though I have not known anyone I know that has a mac to ever have had a virus yet. So I went out and bought norton anti-virus and it scanned my computer and found zero viruses. So my question is, does anyone know what is wrong with my computer or how on earth I can fix it? I don't know how to wipe the harddrive so if that's what needs to be done please instruct me to a page that shows me how or just tell me. Also my macbook is about 4 years old and the version, I believe, is 10.5.6? Sorry, I'm not on my macbook right now so I'm not exactly sure as to the current version but it should be around there. Thanks in advance for any help you guys offer!

There are no Mac viruses in the wild... it's not a virus.
Before you erase the hard disk and reinstall the Mac OS X, run Disk Utility from your install disk.
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key until grey Apple appears.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
*(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel. It should say: Verified)*
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
When you are finished with DU, from the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Startup Manager.
Select your start up disk and click Restart
While you have the Disk Utility window open, look at the bottom of the window. Where you see Capacity and Available. *Make sure there is always 10% to 15% free disk space*
If the hard disk appears to be ok and there's plenty of free disk space then do the Erase and Install, instructions here...

I receive the error, "No Internet Connection" and my Adobe Creative applications are crashing on a regular basis.

I keep getting the same errors with the damn Creative Cloud application on my Windows 7 machine, which IS connected to a LAN and IS actively connected to the internet at the time the error routinely appears in the midst of tasks. I have checked root certificates, manually checked my hosts file and run the tests outlined above to both Adobe addresses.
In fact, the error kept occuring while I was on an over 3-1/2 hour call with a very through and nice representative from Adobe who had remote screen access at the time (through Adobe connect) and could see the error repeatedly occuring!
Her comment, "This just happens sometimes with this application and there's not a patch for it yet", The problem I was having with Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC was so severe that I had to do a SYSTEM RESTORE which then started affecting other Adobe applications because Windows had erased part of the programs (or all of some programs) but Adobe's software saw them as still installed, that she had me uninstall ALL Adobe Creative Cloud applications using the Adobe Cleaner Tool and reinstall everyting from SCRATCH. She and I had tried numerous other ways to repair the problems I was having with updates not installing correctly AND constant program freezing, etc. before this taking this extreme step.
I'm a professional programmer / software / web designer, so I had tried for hours correct the issues the previous night and had tried once overnight to reach someone in Adobe support only to be told of over an hour wait time by the automation and not offered a callback.
Anyway, despite her best assistance this afternoon (and double confirmation that everything tested correctly), it has taken, so far, well over six hours to reinstall only a portion of what I need for my work and on a deadline because the application keeps reporting "No Internet Connection" and I have programs cued to install unattended. I am now way behind schedule on some design projects which MUST BE COMPLETED by deadline and require Adobe's software to be installed and function correctly.
Adding to this, Windows Explorer has repeatedly crashed after installing the damn Creative Cloud application and works normally when it's removed and "cleaned" ... and I've seen so many problems with the install system, etc. that I have to wonder what in the hell the company was thinking when this approach was launched?
I generally have liked -- and indeed loved -- some of Adobe's products in the past, but the recent experience has certainly been costly in time and disappointing.
Many other software manufacters integrate suites, perform updates and confirm licenses without such a buggy, time intensive and unreliable process -- including my own company.
Aside from complaining at this point, I wish somebody from Adobe would provide alternative install methods and / or a fullproof fix for this bug and some of the other installation bugs many of us experience. Any thoughts, advice, knowing that not only I -- but also the Adobe Support Staff Person accessing my computer LIVE -- tried the various "fixes"?

Rob it does sound like you are facing some connection and stability difficulties. Do you manage your network youself? I am a bit concerned by the fact that you have stated that you periodically loose Internet connection while completing certain tasks. Does this affect your ability to utilize the already installed Adobe Creative software?
I would also recommend reviewing your installation logs to determine if any errors occured during the installation process. Okay. We'll try a different utility.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:

Start iTunes on the computer you normally sync with. Connect your phone. Select your phone in iTunes on your computer and select the General tab in iTunes. Then scroll down to check for updates. iTunes will update your phone to the latest version of the iOS that is availablele.

The other way to do this is to choose About this Mac under the Apple menu. When the window appears, click on More Info, and then choose Storage from the selection of tabs at the top.

Who can tell me about his forms2adf experience?

Why is forms2adf not part of the evaluation version? This makes no sense to me. It is hard for me to convince my chef, to buy a software and I can't even tell him, if we will need it or not. All the reports and demos on forms2adf look very nice, but I have to see how it works with our forms implementations.
What exactly is happening when forms2adf does the conversion? Did I understand it correct that forms2adf does the following things.
1. Create jsp pages based on the forms canvas
2. Create the ADF task flows
3. Create the ADF Datacontrols Model
4. Create the ADF BC EO, VO and AppModule
5. Copy all the plsql code from forms into the database
Does anyone have experience with forms2adf and can tell me about his experience?

I will get back to you later with a longer reply, there is a lot of "misperception" around forms2adf.
Regarding the functionality: 1) to 4): correct, 5) not correct, we only copy the PL/SQL code as documentation nodes to the application definition editor.

ABAP mapping
ABAP mappings run on ABAP Stack and are developed in the ABAP workbench of the Integration Server.
You normally do not need to use the ABAP mappings and is preferable for someone with ABAP programming background. I should say JAVA functions would suffice any complex scenarios.

Steps required for developing XSLT Mapping
u2022 Create a source data type and a target data type
u2022 Create Message types for the source and target data types.
u2022 Create Message Interfaces includes Inbound Message interface and Outbound Message interface.
u2022 XSLT Mapping does not require creation of Message mapping, so donu2019t create any Message mapping.
u2022 Create an .XSL file which converts source data type into target data type.
u2022 Zip that .xsl file and import it into Integration Repository under Imported Archives.
u2022 In Interface Mapping choose mapping program as XSL and specify this zip program. (Through search help you will get XSL Mapping programs that you imported under Imported Archives, select your corresponding XSL Program)
u2022 Test this mapping program by navigating to Test tab.
By having look at above steps you can easily find out that this mapping is no where different from other mapping programs, here the challenging lies in creating an XSLT file. If you spend couple of minutes in studying XPATH tutorial you would be in ideal position to create an XSL Transformation (.xsl extension).
If you still find difficulties in generating XSL Transformation, then you can make use of a tool u201CAltova MapForceu201D which will create XSL file for you.
Steps for creating XSL file using this tool:
1. Open the Alto MapForce, import the source .xml and .xsd file in it
2. Similarly import the target .xml and .xsd in MapForce.
3. These two data files should match with source and target data types in Integration Repository.
4. Complete the graphical mapping using extensive list of XSLT functions available there.
5. Save the mapping file.
6. Click the XSLT tab. You will have the entire xslt logic there.
7. Copy that content and save it as .xsl file.
8. Zip above .xsl file and import the same into IR under Imported Archives.

[CS4/JS] Where Am I!? A World Map script

Here's one I originally wrote for InDesign, but Illustrators may like it as well!
This is a Javascript implementation of a program I had on the hard disc of several consecutive computers, going back to the late '80s. This version was an implementation in C, which in turn was based upon a Pascal program: CARTOG.PAS, accompanying "Mapping the World in Pascal" by Robert Miller and Francis Reddy, BYTE, December 1987, page 329
What does it do? It draws a world map. That's all
Written for CS4 (but it might work other versions). Simply run the script and enter stuff into the dialog -- it ought to do the rest automatically. If you want to see your own location from outer space, go to LATITUDE et LONGITUDE de quelques Villes (which was the first comprehensive listing I found; there are lots of others) and see if your hamlet is listed. You can enter coordinates either as positive/negative values, or follow them with "E" or "W" and "N" or "S". Only decimal notation is supported; minutes & seconds was too much work.
The image is grouped into one and consists of the background circle, all land masses in a group of their own, and optionally the meridians, also grouped. If you ungroup once, you can color and move the land and meridians around. Ungroup again to get ten zillion tiny objects, so you can play Tectonics 1-0-1 and shift the continents around the globe.
Note: the calculations for the larger continents, in particular Asia, sometimes clash with my math. If so, you'll see stray lines and a messed up image ... No cure for that, except trying with slightly different coordinates.

The package contains the script, which you can move into your Illustrator Scripts folder to be able to run it from File -> Scripts, and three icons; these you should put in your own Documents folder. Sorry about that -- it seems there is no good way to make sure the script can find the images otherwise! If you forgot that or just don't want to mess up your documents, it'll still work, but with a nagging message "Wot no img!?".

After you got a nice view of the world, you can ungroup, scale, move, and size all elements at will. It may be necessary to use the Pathfinder to combine all loose islets and stuff into one solid object -- otherwise, you might see the dividing line between Europe and Asia. It also gets easier to fill stuff.
This image, inspired on a classic, took me a couple o'minutes of tinkering ... And of course the world is centered on the place where I live
