from all, that all of you in the brave new the jaguar world, have now experienced, do you recommend that this 10.4.10 questioner should make the jump ? is there enough to gain to offset the pain ?

Jaguar is Mac OS 10.2...10.5 is Leopard. Regardless of what anyone recommends, if you think you can benefit from the added features of Leopard, then it's probably something you should do. But again, your computing needs are different than everyone elses, so only you can make the decision

Video jumps into corner when full screen enabled

When I try to switch a video (it doesn't matter what format) into full screen mode, the video jumps into the upper left corner of the screen so that only a corner of the video can be seen. I have tried reinstalling Media Player, and my graphics drivers are up to date. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Paste your content into TextEdit. Format > Make Plain Text.
Comand-S to save.
Command-Click the filename at the top of the TextEdit window. Click on the second line, the name of the folder where you saved the document.
Select the extension of the document Name in the finder window that is being displayed and replace TXT with CSV.
Right-Click the csv file and choose Open With > Numbers.
Numbers will open with a column for each field in your data.

Jump into WAD Tab and filter Characteristc?

Hello Experts,
I want to jump from one Portal WEB-Application to another Portal WEB-Application.
The jump target has several Tabs and I want to jump into a different Tab than the initial one.
I also have to filter the Characteristic from that line that I start from.
I have tried the Web Address in the Maintenance of the Sender/Receiver Assignments and change the initial Tab by a Command Sequence in he URL (using Parameters to Call Web Applications). In this case I can jump into a Tab, but I cant filter a Characteristic. In fact it doesn'tt even work to select a Tab if I map a Characteristic in the Field assignments.
How can I jump into a Web Application and choose a different Tab than the initial one AND filter a Characteristic?

How to jump into shopping cart from ERP

I am working on utilities report in SRM server, If I execute the report the shopping cart per product will display at the output in ALV.
If I click on the Transaction number the needs to Jump into shopping cart.

It might be best to provide details on where you currently are with this project, i.e. is all you are looking for the WD Component to call to open shopping cart status or do you already have this but calling it results in runtime error or similar?
It is very important to include all the details rather than asking something like 'suggest me how to do this requirement', this indicates to the general community that you have not even tried yourself to do this and if the issue is that you are unable to code such a task then you should raise a thread in the relevent ABAP forums.

Newbie question - Is it worth getting into SAP ?

Seeing as this is still the only forum where a "Post New Thread" button is locatable, here's my opening question.
I understand it takes study, certification and some years of experience to become a sought-after commodity in SAP.
As an underpaid (never above $A40K) and under-employed IT worker over the past ten years, I've noticed that every time a SAP job is advertised, the salary is quite impressive. The most recent position, for a SAP Consultant, offered $A120K.
To those of you who have been SAPping for a few years :
Are you and your skills in demand in the job marketplace ?
Do you receive reasonable or high pay ?
What combination of study and experience (and connections ?) did it take to reach your current position ?
For someone with broad IT experience, do you consider SAP worth getting into and, if so, by what route do you recommend entry ?

Yes, SAP is hot these days, and will be for some years to come.

When compared to other fields and technical domains, the answer is yes.

You need to have reasonable amount of IT exposure (which you have....!!!!) and a working expeirence in the functional domain is a must to rise. Technical expertise would boost your career great guns. Though after 2- 4 years in SAP , it is preferable to be a functional guy.

Yes, it depends upon your type of IT experience. IF you have a good functional experience (say in domains like manufacturing, sales, or finance) pick up a functional module study hard go for certification, and you are there in SAP world.
With technical expertise you need to have good ABAP knowledge, and with netweaver these days JAVA would also do, but with SAP having abap knowledge always helps.
Same route here, study hard and go for certification and gian hands on experience.....and you are there to rock...!!!!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Is it possible to define a button action which will (a) open another project and (b) jump into a certain slide?
The first part is quite simple, but I am not sure how the 2nd part can be done.

Hi Julie. I believe the 2 Captivate projects would both have to be published as SWF/html, and both accessed via the browser. So one Captivate project playing in the browser can jump to a second Captivate project playing in the browser, and then move to the desired slide.

Transition "jumps" into place at stop().

Hi! I am very new to Edge Animate. I am sure this is something simple that I'm doing wrong but I can't find it in the discussion group and can't seem to figure it out.

As you swipe right and/or swipe left, the screen stops just before it should, pauses for a second, and then snaps/jumps into place. I don't know why the transition doesn't function smoothly. I can't find anything in the timeline that would make it pause and then jump into place. I've considered that it could be related to easing, but the easing is set to be linear so that shouldn't be causing this problem. Also, I've noticed that the transition seems to be much worse on an iPad than my Windows laptop.
Any suggestions would be IMMENSELY appreciated.

I've worked with the files since I posted this problem and have it working much better now, although it is really slow. My client wants several links on each page so that may be causing the speed problems?
The issue isn't so much the right and left arrows - it's more when you swipe right or left with your finger on an ipad. The transition is slow getting started and then gets within about 1/4 inch of where it should be, pauses, then snaps into place.
This is all done via the timeline as I know very little javascript. I will PM you the files so you can take a look.

The screen was completely dark although the phone was on when I jumped.I let it dry in very hot sun for about half an hour after shaking out most of the water.Then I put it in a bag if rice, it's still there. No, obviously water and iPhones don't mix but to compound that you put it in the hot sun and heat and iPhones don't mix. While you might leave it in the bag of raw rice for 4 - 5 days, in a cool, dry place it MIGHT work I think it is probably hopeless. Make a Genius Bar appointment at your nearest Apple Store and do an out-of-warranty replacement for $229 USD.

About 10 days ago I jumped into the pool with my IPhone5 in my pocket. The phone was dead when I removed it and put it in rice. It stayed there for about 55 hoursthen I removed it. I tried to turn on the phone but it was 95% dead. The screen brightened just a very littie bit every time I pressed the home button. I had given up hope but yesterday my wallpaper was visible, I pressed and held the button to see if it would say slide to turn off, and it did but then it went dark again. Now my wallpaper is visible 90% of the time. I put it back in rice. Any chance it works?
PS I live in Turkey bought the phone from NY

Another netbook is not a desktop computer.
Have you transferred your iTunes library from the backup for the laptop that died along with all other important data to the new computer such as documents, photos, etc.?
If not, all iTunes content on your iPhone will be erased as the first step when syncing the iPhone with iTunes on a new or different computer.
Have you launched iTunes on the new computer?
Is you iPhone avaialble under Devices in the iTunes source list on the new computer?
