What are the Tablespace, segment ,extent ,oracle blocks
System table space and non system table space these terms are not deeply define in the book of fundamental 1 so please reply my message soooooooon

The Concepts guide does a good job explaining the fundamentals, like the logical structures segments, extents and blocks.
Also, the General Database Discussions is a better place for questions like these.

    Hi,
By flagging a field on here, yes, that is what it is designed to do.
If you change the delivery address for instance you would surely need to tell the vendor? So you would flag these fields so that the new PO (which can be a PO with ONLY the changes on it, or a full reprint of the PO, depending on which you want), is printed and sent to the vendor.
If the Purchasing group is changed then you may decide that this should NOT trigger a print of the changes, so you don't flag that field.
It is entirely up to you which fields you flag, all, some or none.
There is a flag for each type of document (RFQ, PO, Contract and Scheduling agreement and so you can set different flags for each)
You can also specify the text number to control what the change text is, such as "Delivery address changed" etc.
You can even use special routines that can manage more complex actions for each change.
As susual the SAP system is giving you many options that you CAN use if you want to, but you don't have to use them if you don't want to.

  • Can anyone tell me the difference between these String methods?

There are methods that can convert a byte[] into string:
String(byte[] ascii, int hibyte, int offset, int count)
String(byte[] bytes, int offset, int length)
    String(byte[] bytes)
I am now sticking on it. The first one runs great in my project, but it is deprecated. The remaining two return wrong answer I need. Can anyone expain what the difference between them? Really appreciate the help, thanks in advance.

It seems like the first one translates each byte into one character. The other two use the default character encoding to translate possibly more than one byte into each character. Look up Unicode character encodings to understand the difference.

  • What is the Difference Between these IF statements

    Hello
Can someone tell me the difference between these two IF statements.
    -- IF STATEMENT 1--
IF v_transcode not in ('A','C','D') THEN
    raise_application_error (-20000, 'Error Invalid Transcation Code');
    END IF;
    -- IF STATEMENT 2 --
    IF v_transcode <> 'A' AND v_transcode <> 'C' AND v_transcode <> 'D' THEN
    raise_application_error (-20000, 'Error Invalid Transcation Code');
    END IF;
    Thanks

Your if condition wherein you do
    v_transcode <> 'A' and v_transcode <> 'C' and v_transcode <> 'D'.
I would think this is more better in terms of performance, because if the first clause (v_transcode <> 'A') fails nothing else needs to be evaluated, and it can skip the if condition there itself,
    but in case of
    v_transcode not in ('A', 'C','D'),
it has to scan through the entire list.
On the other side, if you have just 2 or 3 values to compare this makes sense, otherwise we may have to use the in operator.

I have create a UDF and I haven´t linked a User table to it. I have insert some values for it.
I´m trying to do a query where appears the descriptions of these values, but I can only show in the query the value. Is it possible to show the values and the descriptions or not?

The UDF Name can be referenced by JOINING the CUFD table which stores the User Fields.
Use this SQL to see the data  SELECT T0.TABLEID, T0.ALIASID, T0.DESCR FROM [DBO].[CUFD] T0

  • Text variable to be removed from the description on Roles in Bex Analyzer

    Dear Experts,
I am using BI 7.0. I have text variables in the query description. When the queries are assigned in Roles, they are displayed alongwith the text variable. I need to change the description of the query only in Roles. I am successful in doing this change on portal. But, in Bex Analyzer, I tried changing the description of these queries in Roles, but still they are not changed. Strangely, I can see the new descriptions in Roles when executed through RSRT.
Can anyone please help me in resolving my issue.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Best Regards,
    Pradnya Rane

    Hi Parth,
Yes, I mean in 'Open Query' option. This is working in BEx 3.5, but not in 7.0.
Is this some missing functionality in BI 7.0?

You should be able to just place them in your Books library in iTunes and check to ensure that your Book library is configured to sync to your iPod when you sync your iPod to iTunes.

Thought you could use this info about getting FireWire to work!   First, you should always Repair Permissions in Disk Utility before and after any update; I would do that now. If you installed your update with FireWire plugged in, your Mac may not recognize it anymore.
Try resetting your FireWire ports by disconnecting all FW devices, shut down your Mac and unplug it from AC power (wall socket) for 15 minutes. plug it back in and try FW.
If that didn't work, download the combo update from this site (yours may be corrupt), not Software Update, disconnect all firewire + USB devices except keyboard + mouse, Repair Permissions, re-install update, Repair Permissions again + try.
If that still didn't get it Zap the PRAM. While restarting Mac hold down the following key combo Command-Option-P-R. Keep holding those keys down till you hear the second start-up chime, then release.
A bad internal PRAM battery can also cause FireWire to not be recognized, so make sure it's good!   Also, here is Apple doc.#88338 on getting FireWire to work.

  • Hi.  I'm trying to set-up the wireless access times in my Airport Utility.  I need to enter the "Description" and the "MAC Address" of each wireless client before I assign access times. What are these?  Thanks.

Hi.  I'm trying to set-up the wireless access times in my Airport Utility.  I need to enter the "Description" and the "MAC Address" of each wireless client before I assign access times. What are these?  Thanks.

Let's say that an iPhone is one of the wireless clients that you want to allow access to the network.
The Description of this device is anything that you want to specify for easy identification purposes. For example, the Description might be something like......
    Rex's iPhone
The MAC Address, also known as a Wi-Fi Address is  a unique indentifiction number that is assigned to every device. The number will always follow this form:
xx : xx : xx : xx : xx : xx, where "x" could be a number or letter.
To find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address of an iPhone or iPad.....
    On the Home screen.....
    Tap Settings
    Tap General
    Tap About
Wi-Fi Address is the item that you want
If you have a Mac computer......you can find the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address as follows:
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
Click on Wi-Fi on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right
The Wi-Fi Address for the Mac is located at the bottom of the window
Other wireless devices usually have the MAC Address or Wi-Fi Address on the label on the back or bottom of the device

  • I cannot get itunes to sync all of my songs to my iphone.  Itunes tells me that it cannot locate the files for these songs.  How do I fix this?

  • Whats the diffrence between these two JKM's and when to use which one.

Please tell the diffrence between these two.
JKM Oracle Consistent o JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date)

Basic difference is in the requirement .
JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) wants a DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) which will get inserted/update by the source application . ODI will capture the changed data based on this column value . Only the DELETE portion requires a trigger to keep track of deletion happening at source table(s).
Where as JKM Oracle Consistent does not require any DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) . It uses triggers for keeping track of INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE happening in source .
In terms of performance JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) is better as it will create littel over head on to your source system . SO if you have a DATE/TIMESTAMP column in the source tables(s) which gets inserted/update by the source application, then go for JKM Oracle Consistent (Update Date) .
Else look for JKM Oracle Consistent .
    Thanks,
    Sutirtha

  • How to understand these terms in SD?

    Hi all,
I have encounted some terms when I tried to understand SD module. Please can some explain these terms in SD as following,
    1. Sold-to party
    2. Ship-to party
    3. Bill-to party
I tried to create the a sales order, i hadn't found where we can define it? can someone tell me when can we define it and what is the table field? Thanks a lot!
    Any response will be awarded.
    Regards,
    Samson

    Dear Samson
In general, sold to party is the one from who you receive a sales order.  Ship to party is the one to whom you ship the goods and Bill to Party is the one to whom you bill for the materials sent to ship to party on behalf of sold to party.
In SAP, after entering VA01 and sales area (sales organization, distribution channel and division), your mouse will automatically sit by default into sold to party's tab and below that you can see ship to party.  As for as Bill to Party is concerned, select a line item, again select "Goto - item - partners".  These partner functions will flow from your sold to party customer master.
    Thanks
    G. Lakshmipathi
