Telstra Air Status DOWN after reboot

So I signed up for Air a few weeks ago and it has been working well while I am out and about. About two weeks after signing up our modem upgraded itself and from that point onward was broadcasting a "Telstra Air" SSID that others could connect to. Interesting thing was that I wanted to see whether the Air SSID would still be available if the modem was in bridge mode, given the Gateway Max is fairly hopeless... Upon rebooting the modem, there was no more Telstra Air SSID and even after re-enabling NAT, it hasn't come back. This was almost a week ago and it doesn't seem to show any sign of coming back. I'm not too worried about this as it is more Telstras issue than mine (Air still works when I am away from home), but I was curious as to whether other folks had noticed similar behavior, particularly for those on cable. Single Sign-On:orasso Status Down After Enabling SSL

The status of Single Sign-On:orasso is listed as down in Enterprise Manager after enabling SSL. The same problem existed in with the Portal component, but this was fixed by adding a certificate to the certdb.txt file and by changing some URLs in the targets.xml file.
Does anyone know how to correct this issue with Enterprise Manager? It has no effect on the behavior of our application, but it is causing problems with administration because some people use the Enterprise Manager console to monintor the state of our environment.

Did U try this the following steps;
When the configuration is finished, take the following steps:
1.
In the Application Server Control Console Confirmation page, click OK. The Application Server Home page appears.
2.
If you did not have an OC4J_SECURITY instance before, you will have one now. The OC4J_SECURITY instance will have a status of Down. You will also have a Single Sign-On:orasso instance with a status of Down. Select the check box next to OC4J_SECURITY and click Start.
Note: You cannot start the Single Sign-On:orasso instance. This feature is started and stopped when you start and stop HTTP_Server and OC4J_SECURITY.
3.
When the operation completes, verify that OC4J_SECURITY has a status of Up.
Note: The Single Sign-On:orasso status may be displayed as Down. This is normal. The status should be updated approximately five minutes after configuration.
4.
Select HTTP_Server and click Restart.
5.
Verify that you can access OracleAS Single Sign-On at the following URL:
http://hostname.domain:port/pls/orasso
In the URL, hostname.domain is the host on which OracleAS Single Sign-On is installed and port is the Infrastructure HTTP Server port.
You can log in as orcladmin with the orcladmin password.

Why is macbook Air shutting down after lid is closed for around 5 minutes or more?

Just puchased refurbed MacBiik Air i7 256 gb.
When closing lid for extended time computer shuts down and need to restart using power button.
Ive been testing for 10 minutes. Will wake up if lid is closed for shorter duration.

Your MBA is going into deep sleep. When you restart, the MBA is loading the sleep image and not doing a complete reboot. When you MBA wakes up, how much battery charge do you have remaining.
Deep sleep is enabled if your battery is draining or near empty.
SmartSleep allows you to set the threshold of battery charge remaining, let's say 20%, when your MacBook will write the contents of memory to disk.

T440p shuts down after reboot

My T440p has Optimus and a Samsung SSD. I use legacy boot and ata full disk encryption.
When I use Windows 8.1 the laptop reboots without a problem. Same when the Linux installation reboots. However when any other operating system (I tried different Linux versions and OS X) reboots, it gets to the point that the thinkpad logo is displayed and then it just shuts off. Then it can normally be started again and everything works fine.
This is only a bit annoying, because I often switch operating systems and the ata full disk encryption remembers the password across reboots. If of course it shuts down instead of rebooting, I have to enter the password again every time I reboot.
Does anyone have any idea what the problem is? Is that maybe related to some change in Haswell, or some new intel bios feature? (Disabling Intel RapidStart didn't change anything)

You're right, when I remove the ATA password it reboots fine. No idea how to make it reboot with the password, but at least that's a starting point I can google from. Thanks for your help.

Macbook air shuts down after starting to boot up

My mac book air starts to boot up (the wheal starts to turn for about 30s) than it just turns of
it was working fine a few hours ago, i did a hardware test (every thing was OK) and after that the problem occurred
PRAM Reset did't help

Get a USB external DVD drive, boot from your install disc and try repairing the drive with your Disk Utility. If that does not work, try DiskWarrior, short of reformatting the drive and losing all your data.

Oracle SSO not showing up status after rebooting the 10gapplication server

I installed 10g R2 10.1.2.0.2 application server RHEL AS 4.0 2.6.9-11 kernel.
After the successful installation IM and MR and MT (BI). All the components in the MT and infrastructure was showing up status. After rebooting the machine i executed the following commands
For Infrastructure
1.     To make the metadata repository up and running
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASInfra/bin
#export ORACLE_HOME=/home/oraASInfra
#export ORACLE_SID=mamcinfr
#./lsnrctl start
#./sqlplus
Enter userame: sys as sysdba
Sql>startup
Sql>Exit
2.     To start the other components of the infrastructure
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASInfra/opmn/bin
#./opmnctl startall
3.     To start the iasconsole
#cd /home/oraASInfra/bin
#./emctl start iasconsole
For Middle tier
1.     To start the middle tier components
Log in as an oracle user
#cd /home/oraASmt/opmn/bin
#./opmnctl startall
2.     To start the iasconsole
#./emctl start iasconsole
In the MT all the components is showing up status
In the Infrastructure except oracle sso OID , HTTP server and OC4J security is showing up status.
There is no any port conflicts between the infrastructure and MT.
Is there any post installation tasks has to be done after the installation?
please help me to sort out the issue.

Jinitiator 1.3.1.21 or 1.3.1.25You do not have to upgrade your jinitiator version unless you want to go with the latest one.
Since (adsign.txt, appltop.cer, and identitydb.obj) do not exist in your system, you just need to initialize the java certificate as follows:
adjkey -initialize
This will create the following files:
- adsign.txt directory $APPL_TOP/admin
- appltop.cer direcotry $APPL_TOP/admin
- identitydb.obj directory $HOME of the user that launch adjkey
Metalink note: 365735.1 should be helpful.

Macbook air shuts down and then keeps restarting on its on after every few minutes

My macbook air shuts down after starting the maching and then keep restarting and shutting down in a loop untill I close the lid.
I had bought this machine last november so have just about completed a year. Please help me identify the issue?

OS X is "frozen" after reboot

Hi, I have a problem with mac os x 10.8.2 (Air 2011 year):
After reboot I can run only browsers. Other apps after click are frozen in the opening status. Then I can do only hard reboot.
This situation can be solved in the next way:
1) Booting to the safe mode
2) do a normal reboot
But if I do reboot againt I will get the same problem.

Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
Step 1

Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.

Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
You can then quit Terminal.

Database Down after Server Reboot

Hello
I am getting a weird problem after I reboot my server (windows 2003) where by my database (10.2) does not automatically start. To get it to start I have to go into administrative tools >> services and then manually restart the OracleASMService+ASM (it says it is already running).
Thanks in advance for any Idea's/suggestions

Right;
After rebooting the server and lauching the OEM Database Control it tells me the following:
- Database Instance = Down
- Listener = Up
- Agent Connection to Instance = Failed ORA-12505: TNS:Listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor(DBD ERROR: OCIServerAttach)
In response to your troubleshooting suggestions;
1. alert.log has no new errors logged in the past week
2. As far as I can tell, yes. It says the service (and other associated oracle services) are running
3. No I can not connect to the database with sql*plus (before I restart the OracleASMService+ASM). SQL*Plus errors:
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
After I restart the service I can connect without any problems.
4. N/A
I appreciate any help you can offer on this matter.

Why does my MacBook Air's shutting down slow down after the recent update?

After the newly update OS X Update 10.9.4, the shut down of my MacBook Air slows down. It will stay several seconds more than before the update. This happens every time I try to shut down my MacBook, please meet my problem.

A Safe Mode boot deletes some system caches that may help.
Startup your Mac in Safe Mode
A Safe Mode boot takes much longer than a normal boot so be patient.
Once you are in Safe Mode, click Restart from the Apple () menu.
Once your Mac has booted to the desktop, click Shut Down from the Apple () menu to test.

Macbook Air 11" shuts down after few minutes running

My Macbook Air 11" from mid 2012 shuts down after few minutes running, it is a laptop with very light use. The first time this happen was trying to upgrade to OS X Mavericks, after this I read it was maybe an overheating and definitely the case was hot, after this I placed the computer right in front the AC to finish the upgrade, finally I successfully upgrade the OS but the problem continue. I bring my Mac to service and now they said it is a Video Card problem, it doesn't make to much sense for me. Can somebody let me know if this could be a Video Card problem?

At what point is the shutdown occuring? As soon as you launch the install app?
If so, I would trash the install app file, and re-download it.
First, you might try running a Repair Permissions & a Verify Disk from the Recovery Partition. It is always a good idea to do this before any major software update/upgrade.

Computer keeps shuting down and reboot after 10 minutes

After 2 years just keeps shuting down and rebooting after 10 minutes. Checked fans and dust, not the issue. All scans HP, Norton etc indicate nothing?

I would yank all the memory but one chip and test each one in the primary memory slot.
Maybe one of your memory modules is flaky. Not completely bad memory to me is worse than a stick that just dies and won't let your PC boot up at all.
Could be a power supply on its way out too.
