Telstra Bigpond Dongle Connection won't Sync with Widnows 8.1

Hi,
I bought a new laptop a week ago and it runs Windows 8.1. I have a Sierra Wireless Ultimate (312U) usb form of Internet, which I have used on my previous Windows 7 laptop for almost 3 years. When i first plugged it in the the Windows 8.1 laptop, I couldn't
connect as the button was greyed out but I had used the Shift-Cog advice and I could browse the internet fine. The problem, however, is Windows doesn't seem to be synced and does not show as being connected, even though it is through the Telstra Mobile Broadband
itself. When I swipe the side of the screen and go into settings>internet access, it has 3G Connection but when I click it, it comes up with an Error 777 message. I ran into this problem when trying to activate Microsoft office and was prompted to connect
to the internet to register. It then became apparant that all of the Windows apps which require internet cannot be used as I can't seem to connect, though I am actually connected to the internet and can surf the web with no problems. I have tried to install
later Mobile Broadband software, which didn't make a difference. I had uninstalled and tried different software, directly from Sierra. This looked to be working as it said it was connected to the internet and even on the Windows computer it said it was connected,
but when I tried to search anything in an internet browser, nothing would load as there was apparently no internet connection. Another difference was the available network was Mobile Wireless Broadband, rather than 3G Connection. Now, I have re-installed the
Telstra Mobile Broadband and the error message through Windows is slightly different, and comes up as Error 692. Can you please help, or tell me if this is a bug or Windows problem, or something that can be easily fixed? I would really like to use the
Windows apps and see what 8.1 has to offer, but am very limited as the internet is not being recognised as connected. Thank you

Hi,
Most of the device drivers for dongles/modems are far too old to function with Windows 8.1. If the manufacturer hasn't written any new drivers, there's unfortunately nothing you can do other than purchase an up to date method of connecting to the internet
(wireless adapter).

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

I'm having the same, identical problem. It goes into step 2 (backing up process) then it goes back to step one (finding iPad) and it starts over again. It will just keep doing that for 3 or 4 times until it will say "iPad not found". This is so frustrating.

I have transferred mymusic to my new mac air from an acer laptop via an external hard drive and it's all there on the mac but now itunes won't sync with my ipod touch or my iphone 4s.
With the ipod it says 'iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. Could not connect to the device " It also doesn't show up at all in the devices section.
With the iphone it says there isn't enough space to sync even though I have experimented and unticked various things including photos which takes up a lot of space. It seems like it wants to sync with the empty space on the iphone (very small!) and not with the whole thing. I have tried various things suggested on this forum but have had no luck.

I am running iTunes 11.1.5.5, and my phone is using iOS 7.1
Windows 8 recognizes that the phone is connected, and even asks if I would like to download pictures, however iTunes will not.
So far, I have stopped and restarted AMDS, iTunes, my laptop, and the iphone. None of these have had any success. I've tried using a different cable, but the results were the same. The phone can download songs via its own iTunes app, but cannot sync with iTunes on the laptop.
How can I get my phone to start syncing with iTunes again? This problem occurs sparatically, sometimes syncing and sometimes ignoring the phone altogether, like it is now.

I have an iPod Touch 3rd gen and while it is recognized by my laptop with Win 8.1, it won't sync with iTunes. It worked fine while my laptop had Win 8 but after the update, it quit syncing. Strange though, I downloaded an app directly to my iPod and when I connected it to my laptop again (for recharging if nothing else), iTunes updated itself by including the new app. I also tried syncing wirelessly. Also unsuccessful. I'm about ready to change to an alternate to iTunes if I can't get this situation fixed. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

- I would start with
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

IPad Mini Won't Sync With Mac Mini (ios 8.1 OSX 10.6.8)

Problem : IPad Mini connects to iTunes OK, can be seen in iTunes and I can select which movies to sync to it etc. When I hit the "apply" button after making a change (ie deleting or adding a movie) the sync lasts just a second then the "sync" button remains greyed out, and I can't make them sync.

HT4858 Photostream/iCloud won't sync with PC.

Photostream/iCloud won't sync with PC. Everything is turned on, works for iPhone and iPad just not PC. Do not want to wipe phone to fix what should be a simple (and paid for) thing. Used to work fine but hasn't in a couple of months, even though no settings were changed. Please help

I have the same issue. My photos stopped on Nov.9th.
I just deleted and reinstalled version 3.1 and it took 90 pictures from my Photostream and transfered them to my PC
Thing is that I have 318 pics in my Photostream. The synching works fine between my iPhone 5S, iPad2, iPhone 3G and iPhone 5.
My wife is getting a iPad Air for Xmas so no idea of how it will work then but I assume it will be no problem.
I have Windows 7 and so does my mom on her laptop and PC which I also connected so I don't have to send her pics but she can just check. I had to update both machines to 3.1 and they only grabbed 85 pictures.
This is quite annoying when you live 500 kilometers apart and all worked fine until the latest updates.
Please Apple fix this asap as it's a lifeline for families all over the world

Please could anyone advise how I can check why my itunes won't sync with nikeplus.com?
I have done several runs and set up a nikeplus account but everytime I try and sync my ipod it won't connect to the website.

iPhone won't sync with iTunes. It just says, "waiting for sync to start." But no matter how long I leave it like that, it never syncs. Wirelessly or via USB. I have restarted both my computer and my phone. I have deleted and reinstalled iTunes. I have installed the latest version of iTunes and the software on my phone is up to date. Nothing seems to work.
Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

The meant photoshop update not the iOS update.
I have tried to sync with a free 2gb account today and this works fine with my iPhone version of photoshop touch at least.
What I am more confused about is that I cleared out my 20gb space to see if it was large files or a file type that was causing the issue. But even with a completely empty creative cloud account photoshop touch didn’t sync?
Which suggests to me that the issue is with my 20gb storage space?
I manually moved my photoshop touch files a few months ago. I haven’t used photoshop touch since really because the issue.
Come to think of it the issues started around the same time as I started using the creative cloud connection on my macbook.

Outlook won't sync with Address book

Since moving to Lion and using Icloud, my Outlook address book won't sync with Address Book at all. I have sync services selected in Outlook. Calendar won't sync either. Does it just not work anymore?

Hey, I'm Michael and I work for connex.io, an address book app.
Did you try hooking them all up to iCloud? That should do that trick for Address Book and iPhone.
Alternatively, you could try connex.io. You would be able to sync all of your contacts between iPhone, Address Book and Outlook (and more if you want to). It also de-duplicates, cleans, completes and updates your contacts for you. So you jsut connect your services and connex.io takes care of the rest.

My mac calendar and contacts (and who know what else) won't sync with my iPhone 5 since updating to Mavericks. I have lost new medical appointments on my mac which never synced to my iPhone. I am completely frazzled as I am a very busy mum (who isn't!) and the call centre is closed! A am a bit of a technophobe but have discovered the "info" tab that appears when I connect my iphone to my mac to sync has disappeared with Mavericks. I hope someone out there can help me.

iPod Nano 6th gen won't sync with iTunes 12.1.1.4.
This iPod was synced with another iTunes library. I had to transfer iTunes library from another laptop.
Launch iTunes (12.1.1.4), plug in Nano, Nano display says connected, Nano appears in iTunes, but when I attempt to navigate to Nano nothing occurs, or if I am able to navigate to Nano then I can't go any further and select music to sync and the Nano comes out of connected state. I have had to close iTunes, sometimes reboot laptop, but nothing I do appears to make any difference. It won't allow me to continue music selection process and start the sync process. Is there a way to simply reset the Nano and reconnect to get it to sync? I don't care about content as it needs to be resynced with this iteration of iTunes because it is currently associated with the other iTunes library.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What solved my problem:
I restored my iPod nano on my wife's PC, which had version 11 of iTunes. I was then able to sync it on my PC. Why didn't I restore it on my PC? See following details.
Additional details:
I first took the iPod to the local Apple Store, where the only course of action they could offer was to restore the iPod. So they did. When I got home, it wouldn't even connect to iTunes on my PC, which was a regression from the day before. Out of desperation I plugged it into my wife's PC, and her older version of iTunes immediately told me the iPod had been formatted on a Mac and it needed to be restored on a PC to be usable by a Windows machine. Why my newer version of iTunes couldn't tell me that is a mystery.

Mail won't sync with gmail

Mail app won't sync with my gmail account. I've tried deleting my gmail account and setting it up again, but am getting an error message that my user name or password is incorrect. My iPhone Mail app isn't syncing with gmail either - same error message. I can get into gmail through Safari. I sure would appreciate any suggestions.

that's a different issue. you said before that it didn't like the password. what it actually doesn't like is the number of simultaneous connections. quit Mail on all other computers/phones you use to access gmail and try setting it up in Mail on this computer again.
