Telstra Update to my Modem has deleted Static ARP table

The latest automatic update to my Telstra Technicolor modem has caused my Static ARP table to be deleted. Furthermore, the update seems to have removed the ability to TELNET into the modem via command line, so I simply cannot re-create the static ARP table. I had previously mapped my home server's IP address to its MAC address through a static ARP entry. Doing so allowed me to remotely wake up my server when outside of my home network (Wake-On-LAN). Because of the aforementioned update to the modem, having deleted the static ARP table and removed my ability to log-in to it via Telnet - I can no longer remotely wake up my server. Pretty annoyed with Telstra right now. Waking my server from outside my home was something I would do almost daily in support of my business (details irrelevant).

Thanks. That is my back-up plan. I was hoping to avoid making an unnecessary purchase, plus the annoyance of then setting-up up my new modem with all my specific network configuration. Like I said, yesterday all was fine. Today, thanks to Telstra's update, I don't have the functionality I had previously and I am now facing the reality of having to fork out my hard-earned money to overcome this Telstra-initiated limitation.

Update to 4.2 has deleted all my published albums content from Lightroom...

Does anyone know how to resync published albums? All my published albums (all still untouched on my photoshop.com gallery) no longer have the published photos in them inside Lightroom. The folder architecture is untouched. I am worried that a sync will simply delete all photos published online...how to restore the albums content to pre 4.2 update status?

Whatever catalog you opened/worked with last will be the one that is used the next time you open Lightroom. Thus, this backup is now your default. You don't have to move the file, but you are more than welcome to. You can't do it from within Lightroom though. You can do this though:
1. Go to Lightroom > Catalog Settings (Mac OS) or Edit > Catalog Settings (Windows)
2. Under the General tab, click the Show button to open a Finder (Mac OS)/Explorer (Windows) window of the folder containing your catalog.
3. Leaving the Finder/Explorer window open, close Lightroom.
4. Move the catalog file ([CatalogName].lrcat) and the previews file ([CatalogName] Previews.lrdata) to a new location.
5. Double-click the catalog file. This will launch Lightroom using this catalog file in its new location (if you don't do this, Lightroom will ask you where the catalog file went the next time you launched it).

NB100-11R - WiFi modem has disappeared

I'm a complete novice when it comes to Linux/Ubuntu - so I'm hoping someone can help me in relatively plain language here.
I have an NB100 11R running Ubuntu.
After a recent ubuntu update my wifi Modem has "dissappeared" from the GUI.
In short from the GUI in Administration / Network Services in the connections tab I now only see the Options for "Wired Connection" & "Point-to-point connection" where I previously also had a WIFI option.
I presume this is something like a driver needing reinstalling, but I can't find any details so grateful if anyone has any pointers.

I have bought a toshiba nb100r netbook with the ubuntu 8.04 operating system, it works perfectly fine but I cannot connect to the internet, when I go on to the manual configuration under the internet icon and then under th connections tab the option for a wireless connection is not there, there is only wired and point to pont connection, any ideas on how to get this problem fixed please. Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Default apps are part of the iOS and cannot be deleted. Search all home screens and all folders and/or search for it with Spotlight, that will tell you what folder it's in.
Also check Settings > General > Restrictions to see if it has been restricted.
If not found, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.

The first thing you should do is have your friend log out of your account and change your password.
Do you have a back up from when you had the contacts on your phone.

HELP UPDATE HAS DELETED ALL INFO

Hi there thanks for looking my sister has a macbook air and she has done an update today 17/09/2011, to be fair she is not amazing with macs but she knows she needs to do updates every so often. so an update occured and so she downloaded it. it said you now need to reset your computer. she has done this and all the information for example pictures files etc have now been deleted! at no point did it say you need to back up or anything.
does anyone know of this issue. any clever way of recovering them?
please help as it had alot of personal pictures regarding her wedding just rescently and she cant get them back :/ please help if you can.

Hi Scott,
A software update is not designed to delete or erase files/settings on your machine. But since the dawn of the OS, it's always a good idea and strongly recommended to ensure you're properly backed up before updating/upgrading. Anyone that's been burned on a failed update/upgrade that caused data loss would agree with me here.
For what it's worth, per the owner's manual for the MacBook Air:
Apple recommends that you back up the information on your hard disk before restoring or upgrading software.
If you've search the hard drive high & low and the data is infact gone, you can try data recovery software, it's not a guaranteed success but the software solution would be infitely cheaper than paying for data recovery.

Either your phone is broken, or it was jailbroken. You can try a DFU restore.

If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

New itune update has deleted everything

I have just done the new itunes update and after i restarted I went into my itunes and it has deleted all my music, videos apps and tones. What has happened. I had over 40,000 songs on there and its all gone. Plus number of playlists etc. Can anyone please help. thanks Caz

Back up all data.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.

How can I find out user id who has deleted payment order

Issue : After payment run, the required information has been sent as Idoc to the bank. So, we know the payment order number. We observed that another payment run also has picked up this vendor invoice and made payment.
Usually Payment Sent will be marked X until the related information comes in the form of bank statement upload and this amount gets cleared.
We noticed that bank has made two payments for this amount to this vendor on different dates :- a) when the payment order supposed to be paid as per the payment terms and b) when second paymnet run paid the amount [ this time it got paid directly as there is long due amount ].
From SAP APP angle, both the payment run worked fine and also the calcaltion of payment terms as well.
So, we come to conculsion that someone has deleted the payment order from the system. Thats the reason this invoice got picked up by 2nd APP and paid the amount.
Where we could not find the related entry in REGUH/REGUP tables for this payment order and no document changes.
Question: How can I find out user id who has deleted payment order. Appreciate any clue / answer for this issue please.

What if an error occured during the first payment? Have you checked sm13 to check if any update termination occured in the payment program?

Trace to find who out who has deleted / modified the attendance record

Dear All
Some one has deleted the attendence record of a particular user of previous month , so how i can track who has deleted / modified the same in salary slip it is showing 1 leave record for the same month, but while checking throught pa30 there is no record shown for the same . can you please tell me how to trace that and which tables are updated once we update the attendence and while processing the salary slip , from which table it picks the leave availaed data .

You have to activate the audit Trail.
RPUAUD00 isthe program to see the changes in infotypes records, but before that you have to configure T585A, T585B, T585C

What type of email accounts are added to the BlackBerry Z10? Are they all POP3 and IMAP accounts? Also when a message is removed from the BlackBerry smartphone it will remove it from the mail server, this is by design.
Did you do any software updates recently?
