dear All,
i need to make one Training program dependent on anothet one.
i mean course B should have a prerequisite of course A
in simple terms to attend course B he should have attended course A
what is the relationship or customozation needed to be done in SAP.

Hi,
When you create a Business event type, you can create a "Has a pre-requisite" relationship between the BE type you are creating and some other Business event type.
Relationship A029
Then in IMG you can control the settings for Booking employees for Business events that fall under the Event type to check whether the employee has attended the pre-requisite business event.
IMG node: Day-to-Day Activities -> Booking -> Attendee Checks
You can either choose to display warning or error messages if the particular pre-requisite Business event is not fulfilled.

    Hi Experts,
    I can post tem costs to related employees' cost centers via activity allocation but I couldn't find any implementation for posting costs to related accounts like employees payroll costs posting to accounts.
    It could be done by entering tem costs to employees 0015 infotype as a wagetype but I wonder if any customizing or other implementations exist for it like FI/CO integration with payroll.
    If there is no integration between tem to main accounts, I'd appreciate you if you give me implementation advices to do this.

  • TEM and FI/CO   (Training and Event Management)

    Hi All,
    I wish to track actual cost per event in PE (TEM - Training and Event Management).  Was considering having a Internal order per Instance of event. Have any Idea on how to set up something like this?

    Hi Dean,
    using internal orders you have to consider that sending and receiving cost center have to in the same company code.
    If you do not want to distribute the costs to FI/CO but only report them, you can use the cost items provided by TEM. We have set up something similar for our plants in South Europe.
    We have created some cost items and fill them manually with the training costs. Additionally we have created a report that evaluated this costs and combines them with the employee costs (derived from salary).

  • Course Catalog in Training and Event  Management

    Hi TEM Gurus,
    My client wants that users can see only courses of training and event management business catalog in ESS, they can't book or do any activities related to TEM. How we can put restriction for that requirement. We are using ITS services PV7I and PV8I.

  • Extraction and loading of Training and Event Management data (0HR_PE_1)

    hello,
    I've got the following doubt:
    before BI 7.0 release, extractor 0HR_PE_1 extracts event data (eventid, attendee id, calday,...) but if you load straight to cube 0PE_C01, as Calendar year/month needs a reference date (for example, event start date), you'll get total duration of event in hours or days refered to event star date.
    So in a query filtered by month, you get total duration of an event that starts in the filtered month but it couldn`t end until few months later o year later, so you don´t get appropiate information.
    Example:
    Event          calday        Hours
    10004377  20081120   500        but from event_attr event end date is 20090410.
    In a query filtered by 200811 you get total duration time (500 hours when in 200811 event hours have been 20) or if you filter by any month of 2009 you don´t get information of duration of that event.
    I had to create a copy of standar cube (without calday, only Calendar year/month, Calendar year in time dimension) and disaggrate data creating as many entries for an event as months lasts and adjust calculation of ratios duration of event (duration of event in each month/ total duration of event).
    The question is: Is there any improvement or change on business content in BI 7.0 to treat Training and Event Management data? Has anybody had to deal with that?

    You can load the catalog by creating LSMWs for objects Business event group (L), Business event types (D), Locations (F), Organizers (U) as per requirement.
    LSMW for tcode PP01 can be used to create these objects.
    To create Business Events (E) you can create LSMW for PV10/PV11.
    To book attendee create LSMW for tcode PV08 as here you can specify the actual business event ID which reduces ambiguity.
    tcode PV12 to firmly book events
    tcode PV15 to follow up

  • Training and event management issues

    Hi guys,
    i am stucked with some of issue in training and event management...
    1. Altough client is using TEM but for frontend they are using ESS.. Now problem is search functionality is not working in system. I am getting 0 result.
    2. I can see the catalog properly but when i do the booking for the future course then system shows course is successfully booked but in Training Activities list that course is not appearing and nothing updated in backend and if i do booking for future course in the backend then after that i can see that course in the frontend also.  same is happening for cancellation. other functionality like prebook, qualification working properly in the system
    3. Client is using Appraisal functionality. i have configured appraisal in the backend but how we can do for frontend.
    kindly help me regarding these issue as early as possiblee....

    Regarding training activities :
    Can you please check the assignment of PERNR with User IT0105...
    Also, are you using the customized BSP page ... If yes :
    Please create a new BSP page copying from the standard BSP page and then enter the new page in the view LSPAGE_ALIAS_C.
    Regarding appraisals in frontend, you will see a link of "perform course appraisal" under completed courses if you have configured this in a correct way.

  • Training and Event Management - Invoicing in different Countries

    we are on SAP 4.7 110
    we have implemented training and event management in one company now for years and everything is runnig fine. We use also the SD-module to create invoices for the participants.
    We now want to introduce a new training company in another country. This means we need another Country for tax determination in billing. In customizing transaction OOSS I can only assign one default country.
    Does anybody know a way to set additional country settings for different training companies within on SAP client?

    The portal consultant can then create ITS based iviews for these services. 
    Since you are using EHP5, I think these services are now obselete. Please check further on this.
    As mentioned earlier, you can go for the LSO rather than TEM.

    In Training and Event Management, there used to be Object Type <b>E</b> <b>Business Event</b> earlier and I see Object Type <b>E Course</b> in <b>ECC 5</b>. Are they the same? Is my assumption correct that it used to be called <b>Business Event</b> earlier and is now called <b>Course</b>.

      on introduction of Learning solution the terms which we used from TEM now changed to course, curriculum,course groups etc.both terms are used simultaneously based on usage of TEM or LSO.like........
    busness event - course
    BE type         - Curriculum type
    curriculum,E-Learning etc are introduced.

  • Getting Training and Event Management Data using IT0031

    Scenerio:
    One of the Employee Is Retired. Now we hire it again for the same role ( extending its period after posting it as retired).
    So the good thing that we can use the IT0031 "Reference Personnel Numbers" to get the desired ITs and found that can get other cutomized ITs by checking in the "Copy Infotype" attribute of IT records.
    Now this seems to be valid if we are in the same module
    but waht if i want to get this magic "Referencing of ITs" done for the "Training and Event Managment" Data of the employee.
    Is it Possible Automatically ... or have to go fro ABAP... (I will not prefer ABAP)...
    I hope i have stated the problem clearly ...
    Feedback ... need it ASAP ...

    Your question is not clear for me. Since it is a TEM infotype, it could be a PD infotype.
    If you wish to create a PD infotype, use transaction PPCI to create the infotype.
    But before that you need to create a structure HRInnnn (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
    If you wish to create a PA infotype, use transaction PM01 to create the infotype.
    But before that you may be required to create a strcuture PSnnnn  (where nnnn is the infotype number) with all the fields relevant for the infotype.
